The atmosphere had a warm welcome soon as you arrived. Staff very helpful and polite especially the hotel manager. Fair bar prices for the class of the hotel. Breakfast good choice and lovely surroundings in the garden room to eat in. Overall a very good experience. Highly recommend a visit.

Room small but clean and comfortable with nice view.

Walls are paper thin so noise transmission (TV and talking) quite bad, fire door out side of the room slams shut and clearly audible in the room.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well presented. The hotel is a five minute walk from the beach and not far from the center of newquay.

The only thing that I could complain about is the rooms are noisy. The walls between the rooms are thin and you hear people through the wall.

Breakfast had a good choice, full english or just choose what you wanted, also have options such as fruit, cereal, toast, honey etc all with tea, coffee and orange juice. Lovely people working at the hotel, you have options to bring your own food in for dinner and they supplied plates, serviettes and knives and forks and you could either eat in your room or downstairs, we were able to leave our car longer on the last day which was great and highly recommend the staff. There is a great swimming pool which is a bonus and set close to the lovely beach Porth and easy to walk to Newquay.

For us, there was nothing we disliked as we felt whatever we did ask, there were no issues.

Das Frühstück im Hotel war das Beste am Aufenthalt. Die Lage des Hotels und der Pool sind sehr schön.

Leider gab es in der Dusche keinen Stromanschluss für den Föhn und man konnte sich so nicht privat frisch machen. Die Räume konnten nicht komplett verdunkelt werden und beim Lüften konnten schon mal Küchengerüche ins Zimmer gelangen. Das Gepäck musste selbst und sehr aufwändig über mehrere Treppen ins Zimmer geschleppt werden. Dazwischen lagen immer wieder Türen. Das Zimmer hat bei jedem Betreten seltsam gerochen, was mich sehr gestört hat.

Some features need updating like for example the curtains in the room were hanging from one of the corners and paint on some walls needed doing. Nothing major though.

Facilities were good, breakfast was good and with lots of choice. The swimming pool was well cared for and was clean.

The room was located on the top floor and was extremely difficult to get two cases up steep steps. The bathroom smelled of stagnant water, with the weather so hot we had to keep the door closed. Not a lot of ventilation in the room, but we did have a small fan. Breakfast was great for myself and value for money, would have been good to have a child option for breakfast as it was expensive for my daughter who only had a bowl of tinned fruit salad.

The location is amazing the hotel is amazing and clean and all staff where amazing and friendly. The atmosphere is relax and friendly. Rooms are clean and of high spec and quality. The price was value for money. Very quiet and relax. The amenities was amazing too.

The manor was beautifully clean, the staff were exceptional. The food was exceptional.

Viel zu dünne Wände, man hört selbst die Nachbarn reden. Keine Klimaanlage, nur ein Ventilator, Raum erwärmt sich im Sommer viel zu stark. Fenster lässt sich nur einen Spalt öffnen. Zimmer im 2. Obergeschoss nur über Treppen erreichen, teils sehr steile und enge, mehrere Brandschutztüren liegen zusätzlich noch zwischen Rezeption und Zimmer. (Grundsätzlich gut, macht das erreichen des Zimmer aber nicht einfacher.) Nichtmal eine komplementäre Flasche Wasser auf dem Zimmer bei 218 £ pro Nacht enthalten...

The directions on the sat navigation took us to the wrong side of the road but managed to find it eventually and it was very pleasant place and in a good location to find many attractions that you could go to or was right bye the Porth beach to go to

We found that the rooms could been cleaned a bit better there was dust behind the TV and bathroom had dirty marks

No evening meal so had to travel out for food

We stayed here just for one night as we were going to an event at Lusty Glaze (a very short walk from here). Free parking, easy and friendly check-in. Room was ideal for a night. Great breakfast (omelette was fantastic). Helpful staff. My only comment would be that getting to our room (28) was a bit like getting to the toilet in a Wetherspoons...it was a very long way from the entrance! It wasn't an issue for us, but perhaps a consideration for those with more limited mobility.

De eerste keer hier verbleven maar zeker niet de laatste. De ligging van het hotel is fantastisch ten opzichte van het prachtige strand en de natuur (5 minuten loop naar een heel mooi zwemstrand. Een kleiner maar wel lekker verwarmd buitenbad is lekker. Zelfs de buitendouche is verwarmd. Het oude landbuis heeft zijn charme behouden en de kamers zijn nog niet lang geleden opnieuw smaakvol gerenoveerd. De kamers zijn onberispelijk schoon met lekkere handdoeken en een douche met voldoende power. Heerlijk ontbijt. Personeel deed hun best om een goede service te bieden. Het weer was warm en wij mochten op de dag van uitchecken de auto nog laten staan zodat wij nog van het strand konden genieten.

De heer aan de receptie was minder geïnteresseerd in de gasten. Het is klagen op hoog niveau maar de tomaten bij het ontbijt waren smaakloos.

The majority of the rooms are on the first and second floor ( with some rooms at street level), but the hotel doesn't have a lift. So if you are a bit old or have heavy luggage, you might struggle. One of the room that we have chosen was stating that had sea view, but had barely a beach view.

Hotel has done well diversifying, with lots of good looking apartments. Swimming pool was lovely and warm. Room was good and quiet.

Tomatoes with breakfast were a bit tasteless.

Fantastic hotel, all newly renovated, clean, high quality materials and beautifully decorated in local style and also modern ideas (eg., stunning modern lamps). Bathroom perfect, good water pressure, hot shower. Breakfast option very good, fresh fruits at the buffet and fresh neutral yoghurt (healthy options). Location perfect. Staff super friendly and helpful. Couldn't be happier!

Second time I've stayed and I, personally, cannot stand all the PVC. The entrance is an absolute mess. The style is really odd and lots of PVC and lino on the walls. In the morning, the manager was eating his breakfast at his PC at reception and, although, he clearly thought he was doing something very important, did not even move his eyes or say thank you. The receptionist next to him said a luke warm thank you. Very disappointed. Won't stay again. Although I think the chalets are nicer.

Everything you want from a hotel stay. Friendly helpful staff, lovely clean room with a really comfortable bed in a quiet location with an easy and pleasant walk into Newquay. Breakfast was good and parking was free. Although hot, it was windy during our stay, so we didn't use the outside pool, but what a bonus. We spent two nights here on a Best Western offer which was great value. Easy 25 minute drive into Padstow which was amazing. No hesitation in recommending.

Friendly staff, the room was perfectly adequate for what I needed, the bed was really comfy and I slept well, the breakfast was great and there were plenty of choices available.

They don’t do evening meals, so we had to leave the hotel to find somewhere to eat. There seemed to be a lot of reserved parking, so it wasn’t very clear which spaces could be used for hotel guests, and from what I could see, there didn’t look like there were enough spaces for the rooms they have.

The hotel was a perfect location, 4 minute walk to Lusty Glaze Beach. Fabulous breakfast !

Super hotel, tres jolie piscine chauffée a 30°C, petit dejeuner exceptionnel dans une véranda ubuesque a la vue magnifique. L'hotel est dans le style anglais, pas d'ascenseur, des escaliers partout, nous avons adoré. Parking gratuit. Personnel accueillant et aux petits soins. Pret de serviette pour la piscine. Les lits sont bons et la propreté est nickel. Nous avons aimé passer un peu de temps dans la véranda avec un thé/café en jouant aux echecs. C'est un hotel dans lequel nous reviendrons.

We stayed here before so we’re visiting family so we decided to stay again we were upgraded free to a better room with nice views we would stay here again definitely breakfast was good too.

Location to airport and beach as we were staying for one night. Good breakfast and nice view of beach from breakfast room. Board games for kids to play in the lounge bar. Family room with bunk beds. Clean bathroom. Bed reasonably comfortable. Bar man on arrival.

Staffing. Had only one person on at arrival at 6.30pm who had to man the bar and reception for arriving guests.. Seemed empyt. No other staff around. Had to wait and round to find him as did other guests. He himself was great but I think you need someone to meet at reception on arrival at all times or be available to answer a phone /bell especially after a long drive to get there . It was quite quiet with not many guests. The soundproofing between walls and floors was bad. Could hear people walking through the corridors, talking , opening closing doors, toilets flushing.Sound insulation between rooms and floors should be improved especially as the hotel was not particularly busy and the other people were not doing anything particularly loud on purpose. Car parking tricky as not all places marked clearly and a bit tight on a slope. Rooms dated but clean. The metal step ladders for the bunk beds were painful for kids to climb up and down- maybe choose a wider metal step or wooden stepladder. Overall, ok for an overnight holiday stay before a flight but would be disappointed if I had booked longer or if I had to go to work the next day,mainly due to how much noise you could hear from corridors and rooms around you when inside the hotel bedroom. Did not sleep well and usually I can sleep through anything.

The location was peaceful easy access to the beach, great breakfast cooked to order, always hot, friendly staff.

We were fortunate with the weather and so were able to sip G&T s on our balcony (worth the extra). The room was spacious and comfortable, spotlessly clean. Good TV. Towels were sumptuous. The breakfast menu was extensive and everything we had was well-prepared. We were offered help with our bags (no lift). There is a pleasant bar but we were happy to relax in our room.

Arrived at the hotel for a 4-night stay and after parking our car made our way up a few steps to reception. We were greeted by a very friendly receptionist who welcomed us to the hotel. She explained where our room was and times for breakfast. We were informed there was no evening meal service, but we already knew this having researched the hotel. She said to ask if we needed any pointers of places to eat or any help with anything at all. Opening the door to our room. we had booked a superior king-size double room with balcony and beach view, so was expecting it to be nice but it actually exceeded our expectations. The room was so big but cosy too. We had a balcony with a lovely view of Porth beach. The room had everything you needed – tea/coffee/hot chocolate facilities and biscuits to enjoy. The room was refreshed every day, and fresh fluffy towels were offered. There was ample space to store clothes etc. The bed was so comfy. You just sank into it, and we had the best nights’ sleep. As foodies we were so looking forward to the breakfast and all we can say is it was amazing. The best breakfast we’ve ever had to be honest. Everything was cooked to perfection and was all piping hot. High five to the chef! The staff in the restaurant were lovely. Very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble, but they also left you to enjoy your breakfast. The view from the conservatory during breakfast was a joy to behold. Overall, we had an amazing stay and will definitely be returning for another visit. In fact, we’d love to bring our family back too. Thank you to all the staff, who made the stay so pleasant. We couldn’t fault anything or anyone.

One major problem was the staff attitudes to people. Considering this is a service industry, most of the staff were dreadful at talking to guests. One lady who looked after us at breakfasts was lovely and Charlie tried but the rest were not bothered about guests at all. No help or advice, wanted to do something special as we were starting for a birthday but no help at all. Lovely location and the hotel has just been refurbished and looked nice, breakfast good most days but we’ll go somewhere where the staff are bothered and they have a restaurant that opens for dinner.

Yet another fantastic week.had a sore toe and had problem Tuesday evening..they not only rang me a taxi 🚕 but also said if there's any problems returning late l don't hesitate to call them .was even offered a sandwich or something if back too late and a bowl for my foot .the staff are fantastic second to none asked all week how I was ,and Did we need a hand with luggage .they treat you like royalty .the room was absolutely stunning lovely comfy bed lovely view overlooking Porth beach ⛱️,lovely TV and the heating was on all day so no worries of feeling cold.beeakfast first class so much on offer.had packed eggs then reverted to a three egg cheese omelette was golden brown and perfection.the staff take time out to talk to you from the gardener to housekeeping to waitress staff and reception.so many names I can mention Michelle, Charlie ,Maurice,Stuart ,Alison I can't remember all the names all I can say is it's my sixth visit and I can't wait to come back again very soon.you are a credit to all the hotels in Cornwall and I wouldn't stay anywhere else by far the best in Cornwall .
