Excellent location within walking distance to all must-see sights and experiences in Porto. The beds were somewhat hard. The breakfast buffet was okay. Overall there is value for money

La struttura è posizionata in un punto strategico della città dove le principali mete sono facilmente raggiungibili, la colazione è ottima: prodotti freschi e molto vari. Il personale gentile, preparato e disponibile.

Non amo la moquette in camere ma questo è personale e mancava una ventola di aerazione in bagno

El restaurante del hotel era un italiano, estábamos algo mal del estómago y no queríamos andar dando vueltas y le pedimos una tortilla francesa y nos dijo que no podía ser.

The location is amazing. You can walk nearly everywhere (and we did!). The only thing I didn't like was there was no privacy in the bathroom. The shower and toilet were separated by the sink but there was no door for privacy. I'm sure it's not like this n every room but I had a roommate so it was a bit awkward. But the customer service was excellent as well as the food for breakfast and for dinner. The Servers, Gabriel and Amiro were excellent!

The hotel was perfect for our first family trip to Porto. It was in an ideal location. The check in was easy. The parking for the hotel was full but the public parking garage was fairly close.

I morgenmadsrestauranten følte man sig overvåget af personalet, som flere gange stod i en gruppe på 3-4 ved køkkendøren og overvågede lokalet. Til gengæld holdt de ikke øje med nyankomne i restauranten, som ville tjekkes ind - det er et krav ved ankomst. Både vi og andre ventede lang tid på at blive tjekket ind. Ufleksibelt og ikke særligt imødekommende

Emplacement idéal, très bien situé pour découvrir Porto. Chambre confortable et propre, agréable pour le séjour. Petit-déjeuner apprécié, avec une offre satisfaisante. Personnels aux petits soins.

Salle de bain trop petite et peu fonctionnelle, particulièrement pour deux personnes. Dressing très limité, avec peu d’espace pour ranger les vêtements. Pas d’emplacement adapté pour les valises, ce qui rend la chambre rapidement encombrée. Fenêtres impossibles à ouvrir : même si cela peut se justifier pour des raisons de sécurité, cela donne une certaine sensation d’enfermement et limite l’aération naturelle.

What a lovely hotel in a fantastic location to enjoy everything Porto has to offer. The breakfast was lovely and we ate dinner in the restaurant twice and both times the food was excellent. The bar which opens up onto the street is a lovely area to enjoy. There is a 'happy hour' and the drink selection and snacks were great. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful too. It is so close to the station if you want to visit nearby towns. Guimares, Regua and Braga were well worth a visit and so easy to get to. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would stay again.

The hotel is walkable to food places and activities. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Enjoyed breakfast everyday during our stay. Will definitely stay at PortoBay Teatro if I go back to Porto.

Great location and very helpful staff. Room was a nice size. Lots of places to eat nearby, near to the metro and the train station. The room was quiet and dark.

The bathroom didn’t have a lot of privacy. If you were travelling with friends then this would not be ideal.

The PortoBay Hotel is in an excellent location, within easy walking distance of Porto’s major historical attractions, outstanding restaurants, and many of the city’s highlights. The room was very comfortable, the food was good, and the service was consistently excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Porto.

The staff were very friendly, and pleasant. The breakfast was quite nice and the location great for accessing most areas around the city.

We booked the hotel because we love the Portobay group. This hotel did not disappoint. We booked a balcony room which we really enjoyed given the good weather. The room is a good size, excellent balcony with 2 chairs and a table. The shower is one of the best we have had in any hotel, good hairdryer. Lovely cold fridge. The only downside to the room is there is no hanging space for dresses and housekeeping although good comes very late in the day. Breakfast buffet has a wide selection, but the cooked items are not very hot. The restaurant serves good food and room service is very prompt.Location very good, close to the river and close to all city sightseeing sites. Staff are helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay here again.

Large airy room, with plenty of space to sit when popping back during the day. Comfortable double (not two singles pushed together) bed. Modern bathroom facilities - enjoyed the bath and the Rituals shower gels handcream etc.

We hebben een erg prettig verblijf gehad in dit hotel. De kamer was netjes en schoon en alles was goed geregeld. Wat vooral opviel, was het personeel. Iedereen was vriendelijk, behulpzaam en zorgde voor een fijne sfeer. Je voelde je echt welkom en er werd snel geholpen als dat nodig was. Al met al een heel fijn hotel waar we met plezier hebben verbleven. Zeker een aanrader.

De kussens waren voor ons aan de zachte kant.

Great location in the centre of Porto close to everything you will want to see in this beautiful city. As with all of the PortoBay hotels, we have stayed at all the staff ( particularly the reception team), are friendly ,helpful, and responsive). We stayed in a suite with views to the front. The room was spacious and well specified with everything you will need. If you have stayed in a PortoBay hotel before you will not be surprised that the breakfast is excellent. We ate twice in the restaurant, the pizzas from the on site oven were excellent. The bar situation at the front was good value, particularly at happy hour ( which lasts 2 hours!). My only issue was the didn't open up the sliding doors onto the street enough. Great stay and would return.

Superb hotel in a central location for exploring the city. The staff here are extremely helpful and pleasant, their customer service was outstanding. Our room was stunning with very comfy beds and facilities. Thd food was excellent, offering a superb breakfast choice and an Italian menu was available for evening meals. We can very much recommend staying at this hotel.

The property was well located in the historical area. The room was large with a massive bed. The staff were friendly and helpful.

I would have liked to have seen a lounge bar at the hotel. The only bar looked to be a couple of tables associated with the restaurant attached to the hotel. The room was slightly dirty with hairs all over the bathroom floor and the bedroom carpet looked a bit grubby/dirty.

Just enjoyed a week B&B at the PortoBay Teatro. We were given an upgrade when we checked in that included a roll top bath. The room was large and air conditioned but there are no balconies. Could have done with a mirror above the desk and a power point for dryers etc. Great choice for a hot or cold breakfast buffet. Staff very attentive and helpful. We also had two excellent meals in the Basilica restaurant and took advantage of their 50% happy hour drinks discount 4-6pm each day. They arranged a taxi for us to the airport 30 euros and gave us breakfast boxes to take as we were on an early check in. Would recommend PortoBay Teatro especially due to it's central location near the station and restaurants and bars..

I travelled with my adult son, and we were so comfortable here. We did not eat in the restaurant, but we did have drinks and food in the bar which was fabulous. We were here 4 nights and often came into our room after our day out, and housekeeping left us special treats and fresh bottles of water each day. You can't beat the location. All parts of the city are accessible by foot. We arrived and left by train at Campanhã which is only 2 miles away and a quick Uber or cab ride. We just loved Porto, and this hotel was a huge part of that. It's even quiet in the rooms when the all night festivals are happening.

The PortoBay Teatro is a wonderful hotel. The staff is friendly, helpful and very professional. The.location of the hotel is ideally situated in the historic district of Porto and many sites and restaurants are within walking distance. We highly recommend this hotel!

We stayed four nights at this hotel which was perfect for our needs. We stayed in a Gallery room which although faced the streets was very quiet with a really comfortable bed and fabulous rainfall shower. Breakfast was excellent and all the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. The hotel is really central for the Sao Bento station/ Time Out Food Market and the Mercado do Bolhao and a short down hill walk to the river area. Porto is very hilly but there are loads of taxis and Tuk Tuks to take the uphill strain and nowhere felt very far away. Overall a good stay and we will return next time we visit Porto and I would look for this hotel chain again in other cities.

We have just arrived home from this wonderful hotel. From walking through the door there’s a beautiful smell so clean and modern. The staff are wonderful and so helpful. Our room was spotless,spacious the toiletries were of good quality as was the coffee machine and teas available. The fridge was so handy on a hot day to have cold water at hand . The hotel is in a wonderful spot so handy for sightseeing and shops. I definitely will stay again and highly recommend to friends and family. Well done to a wonderful team at PortoBay teatro .

Tiene algunos detalles interesantes en su estética, como la terraza de su bar à la calle, o sus puertas de entrada de acero corten. Du ubicación es bastante buena.

Nos alojamos en la suite gracias a un upgrade el mismo día de check-in, pero la habitación tenía una moqueta gris sucia y pegadiza, un cajón del baño que se abría solo continuamente, soportes de jabón à punto de caer, ventanas sucias, problemas con el agua del baño (solo salía caliente), en definitiva tratamos de pasar lo menos tiempo posible alli lo cual es una pena dado el precio (alto) gastado. Experiencia decepcionante

Hotel was conveniently located in the main tourist area. Easy to walk around, good wifi.

My Airconditioning didn't work and the windows don't open, so it was really stuffy. The worst thing about this was I immediately raised it with hotel reception and they just didn't care. I ended up raising it on five occassions, each time I was told it would be resolved or they'd switch me to another room and then they'd never follow up or fix it. It was just complete indifference. On checking in, there was another guest complaining his shower wasn't working and that he'd followed up with them six times, so I think this is probably common that the staff just don't care, but if you didn't have any issues with your room you'd probably wouldn't notice. Also the beds were quite uncomfy and the rooms were a fair bit more drab than pictured.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a central location, close to the railway station and a short walk to the main sights. The staff were very friendly and informative. Our booking included breakfast and the choice each morning was really good with lots of variety and choice. The rooms were stylish, modern and clean with good quality toiletries. We had a really comfortable stay here and would definitely recommend.

Restroom water system has trouble making cold water so it makes us uncomfortable to take shower. Breakfast was awesome.

Location excellent, and very good staff. Good breakfast choice, but another useless commercial toaster, which seems to be a common theme in the better class hotels.

Classic example of style over practicality, sink taps behind bowl style basin meant water every where, shower door wouldn’t open if bath matt on floor. Loo privacy door very heavy and difficult to use. No full length hanging space for my wife’s longer dresses. Room safe too low to read code easily. Also no external siting area for coffee or pre dinner drinks. Fine for an overnight stay, but look elsewhere for longer stays with outside space. Observations for potential guests.

We stayed here for three nights and didn’t want to leave. Modern and clean rooms, serviced when you want. Beds were so comfortable and shower was great. Staff were all so friendly and polite in a very genuine way. Breakfast was outstanding, plenty to choose from and very tasty. Location of the hotel is ideal. Breakfast was great, location was fantastic, and staff was very pleasant. The bed was clean and comfortable. The common area in the lobby, restaurant, and bar were also clean.

Online the hotel was rated above a 9 for cleanliness, so we were very surprised by the stained carpet, dust in the corners, chips and marks on walls and borders, and especially the grime on the tile.

Very touristy. Breakfast room crowded with tour-bus type tourists. Loud. The guest room was smelly.

It was hot during our visit to Porto in late May and the AC of the room was not working properly. We set the temperature at 18 degrees and it was staying at 26 degrees. Breakfast was also not very good. I’d look for another hotel if I come back to Porto. The only thing good is the location.

The hotel was fine.

The restaurant and bar staff were rude, inefficient, and anything but professional. When we complained to hotel staff we were dismissed saying the restaurant is separate.
