La ubicación es excelente, en pleno centro de Oporto, perfecta para visitar la ciudad andando. El hotel es bonito, acogedor y con mucho encanto. La habitación estaba limpia y cómoda, y el personal fue muy amable y atento. El desayuno también nos gustó mucho.

En general, nuestra experiencia fue muy buena.

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral. Dadurch ist es natürlich auch am Abend sehr belebt. Man kann alle Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß besichtigen. Das Hotel bietet auch einen eigenen Transfer vom und zum Flughafen an , sehr komfortabel kostet aber 42€. Man erreicht den Flughafen auch problemlos mit der Metro.

Zu Beginn hatten wir fürchterlichen Gestank vom Kanal im Zimmer. Nach mehrmaligen Versuchen des Personals wurde es behoben. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und bemüht. Als wir ein Taxi zum Flughafen buchen wollten, wurde uns sehr davon abgeraten, weil die Taxis extreme Preise hätten , der eigene Transfer wäre das Beste. Nach eigenen Recherchen kann ich dies nicht bestätigen. Im Zimmer und vor allem im Badezimmer ist sehr wenig Licht. Es gibt keine Lichtschalter sondern ein eigenes Touch System.

So many good points to this hotel! Central location, helpful and friendly staff, room was spotless and bed was so comfortable. We loved all the little vintage touches to the decor such as the type writers and telephone which tied in with the history of the building. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I made Porto A.S. 1829 my home base for a week of exploring Porto and surrounding area. The location was amazing, the room stunning and the live music outside had a great vibe. There was also a great spread for breakfast. The front desk staff were always friendly and willing to answer any questions. I was able to get an early check-in which was wonderful after a long train ride. They also had luggage storage if required!

The prices for laundry service were surprising.

In addition to all the good reviews of the hotel itself, the location to everything in Porto was perfect.

La ubicación es perfecta y su gente súper amable.. recibí mi cumple 40 ahi y en la habitación me tenían un súper detalle de cumpleaños! De verdad que la mejor elección para pasar mi día tan especial!

It is a beautiful characterful building, with elegant vintage touches but doesn’t cost the earth. The location cannot be beat.

Sehr netter Kellner der uns auch eine tolle Lunchbox gemacht hat. Überhaupt war das Personal ganz toll und wir waren mit allem sehr zufrieden. Können das Hotel nur weiterempfehlen.Tolles Frühstücksbüffet.

Todo en este hotel es excepcional. La ubicación es perfecta, el edificio histórico hermoso, las habitaciones, la atención del personal, los detalles del hotel (como el Pao de nata). Tuvieron un detalle muy especial de darme una cortesía el día de mi cumpleaños. Definitivamente volvería a este hotel siempre que vuelva a Porto!

Breakfast was average. Nothing fantastic. Great location. Very central but too much street noise. Scrapping of chairs at 7.15 a.m to get ready for breakfast by the next door cafes and too much busking/ music at night. Not for families with kids or oldies who go to bed early.!

The room was great but the bathroom had obviously not quite had renovations completed. Breakfast should begin at 7.00am rather than 7.30am.

Bathroom was very small. Especially the shower.

Great location for restaurants and key sights. Not far from the river. Room was very comfortable and clean. We were on the third floor with a view over the square below. We had everything we needed. Staff were friendly and helpful. A beautiful hotel with an interesting history. As some previous reviews have mentioned, there are buskers outside during certain times in afternoon and evening. They did finish by 10pm. We enjoyed listening to them but may not be everyone's cup of tea.

We loved this hotel! The location is perfect, the rooms are fabulous- ours looked over the square and had a balcony. We enjoyed joining in with the talented buskers/musicians every night! The breakfast was top notch and plentiful. Even better though are all the staff! A fabulous, friendly and professional team! We cannot wait to recommend to friends. Thank you!

Stopped here for 3 nights in June. The hotel was chosen for its central location and Tripadvisor rating. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable with a good breakfast however be prepared for a noisy stay. The hotel is surrounded by bars and restaurants which attract talented buskers providing a great vibe and atmosphere in the late afternoon and early evening but the noise from customers cheering the buskers on after 11pm is not great. It can be heard loudly from inside the hotel and can disturb sleep if you have an early start it maybe have little ones trying to sleep

We chose this hotel for our five-day Porto vacation based on the wonderful reviews posted on Tripadvisor. We were not disappointed. The location is extremely convenient - you can easily walk to and from the Sao Bento train station, river front, Gaia, and tour meeting points with no need for a car or taxi. The breakfasts are outstanding, and the service throughout the hotel was professional and friendly. The reviews, however, about the loud street music are true - it drove my husband crazy by hour three, although it stops by 10pm/22:00. On the evenings that we came in late, it didn't matter. I rather enjoyed it up to a point, to each his own, but it is important to be able to rest after touring, especially in this hotel's beautiful and well-appointed rooms. We loved everything else about this outstanding hotel and highly recommend it. A true gem.

We only stayed one night! The front desk could have been more welcoming. It was a little pricey but there weren’t a lot of other options in the area.

방이 너무 좁아서 캐리어 두개를 펼치니 공간이 꽉참. 옷을 거는곳도 정말 아주 협소. 히스토리가 있는 숙소라하여 낭만과 품격을 기대하고 예약했는데 직원들도 무표정 무뚝뚝. 조식먹는 중인데 익스큐즈미 라는 말 한마디없이 그릇을 아주 러프하게 치움. 우리부부도 50대이지만 노부부가 대부분임. 싼 곳도 아닌데 아주 저렴한 서비스를 받은 기분..다시 포르투에 간다면 여기는 안 묶을듯. 엘베도 반 층에 걸쳐있어서-무거운 캐리어들고 계단을 오르락내리락 했음

Lovely room in a charming boutique hotel. Very quiet, despite being perfectly situated in a bustling part of Porto surrounded by shops and restaurants. Hotel restaurant was excellent as well.

Location is perfect. Room was nice. Lights are a bit complicated to control. Would be nice to be able to turn the bathroom light on without having to walk across the room. Staff were charming. The little things like a glass of port as a free offer with a cake was a very nice touch.

We asked for a quiet room but there is lots of live music in the square that is very loud. A higher room or on the other side might have helped.

The property was in a great location.

ロケーションも部屋もとても良かったです。前の広場では常に誰かがサックス等演奏していましたが、曲のセンスも良くBGM代わりに楽しめました（ただ夜10時頃になると周辺は静かになります）。朝食も美味しく、最後の日に朝早く出発することを伝えると電車で食べれるように朝食ボックスを用意してくれて感激しました。
