Lovely clean and well presented property. Friendly host and staff. Nice breakfast choices. Easy walk to the beach. Beds were nice and firm.

Room was on the corner at the junction of a main road. Had to keep the windows open at night as it was quite warm but the traffic noise was loud until quite late with racing cars with noisy exhuasts.

Everything was excellent would stay here again & will recommend to all our family & friends 💕💕

Everything was well above our expectation. The summer house was a lovely feature and very relaxing. Andrew very kindly returned from being out and unlocked to allow us access. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

Everything was excellent, our hosts greeted us with warmth almost like old friends and this was our first time.Beautiful place , great choice for breakfast and location is fabulous , just 10-15 min walk to a fabulous beach and resturant / bar. Needed a place that would give us peace ,good food and a wonderful cosy bed ,we got all that.

No lifts, but to be honest you are shown to room and they offer to carry your suitcases.

Die Unterkunft liegt ideal zum Strand-durch die direkte Lage an der Hauptstraße ist es allerdings extrem laut, bis tief in die Nacht-dafür kann die Unterkunft Nix, aber man muss es einfach wissen und sich vorbereiten- mit Ohropax war es kein Problem.

Short walk downhill to the beach. Comfy bed. Clean. Decent amenities in the room (fridge in the twin room, coffee and tea). Lounge room in garden with honor bar (though we didn't wind up using it).

Surprised to learn on check-in that the single room has an exterior bathroom -- I see now that "external bathroom" is specified in the full description, but when you're booking and selecting the room from all the others, it just lists "private bathroom" as an amenity, no different from the other rooms. Exterior bath itself isn't a dealbreaker, but this one is a bit more of a hike than expected: through a fire door, down a few stairs, up a few stairs. Location is on a corner with a busy road, so there was traffic noise in the evening. Overall I felt a generally impersonal vibe -- there's no real lobby or check-in desk or staff on hand generally, and although staff was friendly when I did speak with them, a lot is communicated through signage, so this felt more like a rented room rather than a guesthouse. And the decor is new and (to my taste) sterile. (But I think plenty of people like this, as well as the hands-off approach, so again, all a matter of taste!) For me, it did not seem quite worth the money, but that may just be the nature of the town, and high-season prices.

The breakfast was excellent - well cooked and the cooked breakfast of good quality.

The breakfast was superb and the location is a stones throw from the beach. The hotel is spotlessly clean with a lovely breakfast room overlooking the garden. Attention to every detail by the owner Elle is to be commended. We stayed in room 12 at the top of the hotel and there was air conditioning. The hotel is also close to the town with a good choice of restaurants. You would be hard pressed to find fault with anything and all down to hard work by the owners and staff.

There was nothing that could be improved upon.

This BnB was in a superb location, perfectly situated between Gyllyngvase beach and the main harbour town centre. The property itself was really comfortable and had the added bonus of a beautiful garden area to relax in. The breakfast was fantastic with a wide range of choices. Best of all were the hosts, Ellie and Andrew. We stayed for a full week and they were both so lovely and accommodating to all our needs. We’d highly recommend and would love to stay again.

The breakfast was excellent and most enjoyable in a lovely room. The location was central to Falmouth and near us the beach which I loved. The management was excellent.

I would have liked to go to the garden directly after breakfast but it didn’t open till 10am.

Carrying heavy bags up multiple different steps but managed and hey its an old charming house. No lift so people need to be aware of this

Die Frühstücksrichtlinien hinsichtlich der Auswahlmöglichkeiten sind etwas streng. Abends muss bis 19:00 Uhr ein Formular ausgefüllt werden, auf dem steht, was man frühstücken möchte. Falls man den Zeitpunkt nicht einhält, bekommt man kein Frühstück. Leider auch nur zwischen 08:00 und 09:00 Uhr Frühstück möglich. Im Urlaub fühlt man sich da nicht so richtig entspannt. Das könnte man leicht auflockern. Die Portionen könnten größer sein. Eine kleine Scheibe Lachs ist spärlich.

A lovely house, very conveniently situated for both town and beach

Having to park in the road for the first24 hours was not ideal, but not the end of the world!

Location, room decoration, breakfast, staff and cleanliness were very good. It would have been even more excellent if there were herbal tea bags ;)

Uns hat besonders die Lage gefallen. Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber. Das Zimmer war ausreichend groß; das Bad neu. Unser Auto konnten wir auf dem hoteleigenen Parkplatz abstellen.

Frühstück gibt es nur von 8.00-9.00 Uhr. Die Atmosphäre im Frühstücksraum war sehr förmlich.

We received a very warm friendly welcome from Ellie and Andrew and Ellie continued to look after us well for the whole stay. There is good parking onsite and the walk not too far to the centre of Falmouth.

Since we had a room on the side of the main road it was a bit noisy with the window open. The set up of breakfast meant you were limited to what they served you, the yoghurt and muesli being particularly small. There is no breakfast bar/servery

Gyllyngvase House is a nice place to stay in Falmouth with a beach and a train station close by. The staff was really friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was very good as well. The room and the house were overall clean.

For not being one of the cheapest places around Falmouth, the room we booked as well as the bed were extremely small for two people. Because of the limited space it was also quite challenging to have luggage on the floor and still be able to walk around the room. The bathroom (although clean) was quite small as well with a rather thin door that could not be closed completely.

In a great location for either the beach, or a short walk into Falmouth town, with the Princess Pavilion literally around the corner. The accommodation and rooms were well appointed, comfortable and spacious, and plenty of storage. We had a fridge and air conditioning in our room, which were really useful in hot weather. The room was quiet, with views of the sea. The included breakfast gave an excellent start to the day. Parking onsite was also a bonus.

The choice of cereal was limited - no granola or muesli, although there was a yoghurt with berry compote and a sprinkle of granola.

Very clean hotel in an excellent location near the sea.

Very welcoming and friendly. Breakfasts outstanding and accommodating. Ellie is such a kind lovely person. The garden room is another nice place to sit and relax. Would liked to have tea coffee facilities in garden room. The hotel is spotless. This is our second stay and would recommend this hotel.

We were top of the B&B which was very warm, but we had aircon and it was bliss and a lovely room. The view was towards town and the harbour, which was a nice bonus. Staff were very helpful and friendly and we had a good choice for breakfast.

Room on the small side is staying more than a few nights. But other rooms are available and this was our choice because we moved to a house with family for the second part of our break.

Good location. Very comfortable room, bed and pillows all great. Super large rain shower. Appreciated the nice touches of fresh milk and cold water in the fridge.

We felt that the window for breakfast , only an hour was too short. Plus the checkout time at 10.00am was early compared to anywhere else we have stayed. A bit more flexibility would be well received.

We had lovely large ground floor unit with a private patio. Was well appointed and very comfortable. A very relaxed setting with a nice garden outlook. Short walk to either beach or town. Freshly cooked breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay.

The location was perfect for walking to the beach, shops, restaurants and the University. There was parking and I was lucky to get the last space, but plenty outside on the road. Ellie was very welcoming and the room/ bathroom were just as the photos online. The towels were soft and the bed comfortable. The breakfast room was light/fresh, with excellent service and the breakfast was delicious - pre- ordered the night before. Thank you Gillynvase House for a lovely brief stay.

Sehr gepflegtes Haus, das nahe zum Strand und 15min zu Fuss in die Stadt, liegt. Das Gartenhaus, in dem man lesen und etwas trinken konnte, hat uns gut gefallen. Auch der Garten war sehr gepflegt. Frühstück war lecker, es hat nur frisches Obst gefehlt.

We liked the cleanliness and the extremely friendly welcome. Also the little extras in the fridge. All the breakfast staff were extremely friendly and helpful too. The bed was extremely comfortable. The room's terrace area was so comfortable and opposite was a fantastic lounge area in the garden with an honesty bar. The location was perfect for the beach and beach bar which was a few minutes walk away. We would definitely stay again.

Some hooks in the bathroom would have been great but a minor issue.

Basic, cold and excessively priced!

Basic and cold, no heating in evenings in room, poor when it’s 10C outside.

The hosts, Ellie and Andrew, were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, loved the granola yoghourt puree! The room clean and. most importantly, the bed was comfortable. There's a lovely garden with an outdoor room where you can relax and enjoy a drink from the honesty bar. There were lots of places to eat in the evening within walking distance.

Easy to find with a reasonably sized car park, breakfasts were delivered quickly and the staff were very helpful, the outside lounge is very comfortable and the garden is lovely

The room was smaller than we would have liked with the TV not easy to view (this would be better if it was on the wall opposite to the foot of the bed nearest the window), it was disappointing to find that the the outside lounge and honesty bar closed at 8 pm given that the nearby beach bar / restaurant closes at 10 pm and the only other pubs which are open after 10 pm are at the other end of the town (20 - 25 minutes walk) - some provision to provide evening meals would be beneficial as the nearest restaurants are quite expensive and their menus are quite specialised,

Would gladly stay here again. Room was comfortable and immaculately clean. Staff were lovely. The toilet for the single room is in the hall, which was fine.

It was a bit of an uphill hike from town without a car. The bathroom was very tiny and hard to turn around in. The room was utilitarian and spare, but the bed was very comfortable and the space was clean and bright.

Clean was fine but I feel building holds on to dust as it irritated my nose the whole time so I had to keep the windows open in my room 24/7.

Everything was excellent the bed was that good I overslept and nearly missed breakfast and my appointments!! Location fine with sea views with me and daughter being city folk it was a win win.were coming back and its the only place we'd use thank you all the staff dave and elsie Robinson.

Our room and bathroom were beautiful, immaculately clean and with sea views. The bed was the most comfortable bed imaginable (and we made sure to take a note of the make and where to buy one). The location of Gyllyngvase House is also perfect as it is a short walk from the beach and town centre. We were made to feel so welcome and will definitely stay again.

The owner was so helpful and friendly. I received a warm welcome on arrival, the room was immaculate and beautifully decorated. I had to leave just as breakfast was served so was offered warm pastries to take with me. The location was just right.

Really friendly staff, Elle made me feel really welcome and at ease immediately and really looked after me throughout my stay. The breakfast is definitely the highlight of this place, especially the sausages! The garden room with the honesty bar is a nice way to end a day as well.

Gyllyngvase House is beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. It is well positioned for both beach and places of interest. The breakfast was delicious and efficiently served in a lovely and spacious breakfast room. The hostess was kind enough to allow us an early arrival on day 1.

The shower was really tiny needing the doors to be opened to retrieve something from the floor. Disappointing that the house rules were somewhat stiff and restrictive - the beautiful garden could only be accessed at certain times, no outside food to be brought in. Our request to do an hour's work in the breakfast room was declined - strictly only accessible for breakfast. This detracted from an otherwise lovely stay.
