The location is top-notch! Brilliant for shopping, eating and baring. The beaches were easily accessible and Glyfada is a nice neighbourhood.

Perhaps the receptionist was having an off day - the vibe was a little moody. The rooms were dated.

J’ai constaté dès mon arrivée que le frigo ne fonctionnait pas et aucune pression à la douche donc impossible de laver les cheveux. J’en ai fait part à la réception le lendemain matin. Les problèmes ont été réglé le même jour. 👌

Trop de bruits au petit déjeuner, j’avais l’impression que tout faisait résonance dans cette salle 😏.

Unfortunately, after my experience with this hotel, I cannot mention anything positive.

Extremely disappointing experience, especially because of the way the hotel management handled my situation. I contacted the hotel several times through Booking.com and by email regarding a refund for the unused nights of my reservation. I explained the situation and was ready to provide supporting documents. Instead of trying to resolve the issue or even properly communicate with me, my messages were repeatedly ignored. In the end, I never received a refund for the unused nights. What disappointed me most was the complete lack of communication and customer care. When a guest has a problem involving a significant amount of money, simply ignoring their messages is unacceptable. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Congo Palace and I would definitely not stay here again.

The staff was extremely nice and helpful. My kids and I enjoyed the pool. The location is great too.

Lokalizacja tuż obok przystanku, świetny dojazd do centrum i na lotnisko komunikacją miejską, przyjemny basen. Obsługa hotelu bardzo uprzejma. Przed wyjazdem czytałam opinie ale uznałam że nie może być źle bo to w końcu 4 gwiazdki. Zależało mi na hotelu z basenem blisko morza w przystępnej cenie- jednak na nasze nieszczęście opinie gości potwierdziły się.

Z przykrością daję negatywną opinię bo zwykle tego nie robię. Jednak w hotelu Congo warunki w pokoju były kiepskie, meble i łazienka wymagają natychmiastowego remontu. Pokój rodzinny jaki otrzymaliśmy miał maleńki balkon, widok był na ścianę i śmieci na dole więc wcale nie korzystaliśmy. Śniadanie typowo hotelowe, mały wybór.

Food wasnt great. Edible but not much of a selection for breakfast, especially with fruit. Room was old and small. Carpet was ripped and stained. Chair on balcony was frayed.

The staff were super helpful and friendly. It was accessible straight from the airport on the bus. The local team took me straight to Piraeus port to get on a ferry to Kythira.

Hotel położony w dobrej okolicy, jednak przy bardzo ruchliwej i bardzo głośnej czteropasmowej ulicy. Blisko do restauracji i na pobliskie plaże.

Posiadając pokój od ulicy spanie jest mocno utrudnione. Strefa okołobasenowa wymaga remontu: braki w szybach będących zadaszeniem , poodrywana mozaika w basenie. Dodatkowo teren basenu i bar są dostępne dla ludzi z zewnątrz co dla mnie jako gościa obniża komfort pobytu

Solen og poolen selvom at poolen manglede mange små klinker i bunden. Lokationen er super god og bynær samt tæt på stranden.

Desværre var der ikke meget smil og service over personalet med undtagelse af enkelte i receptionen. Ellers virkede personalet, ligesom stedet, slidt. Værelserne manglede i den grad finish og rengøring. Værelset lugtede af gammel røg.

L’établissement est vraiment très beau sur les photos. En revanche, une fois qu’on y séjourne, on se rend compte qu’il est assez ancien et qu’il aurait besoin d’un peu de rénovation. Cela dit, les chambres sont confortables, spacieuses et agréables.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt im Congo Palace.. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich das Personal!! Insbesondere das Küchenpersonal, das Personal am Pool und der sehr herzliche Bademeister, der auch bisschen Deutsch sprechen konnte. . Auch das Frühstück war sehr köstlich, wir haben den griechischen Salat mit der leckeren Sauce, Feta und die warmen Gerichte sehr geliebt. Die Pizza und der Eiskaffee am Pool waren köstlich. Und toller Service mit dem gratis Wasser am Pool :)))

Unser FamilienZimmer war leider ein wenig altmodisch, aber dafür günstiger als die Deluxezimmer. Es war aber sehr saube mit einer funktionierenden Klimaanlage und recht groß.

Wij verbleven hier met 5 personen in 2 kamers voor één nacht en betaalden ongeveer €160 per kamer, dus circa €320 totaal. Voor deze prijs is wat wij aantroffen ronduit teleurstellend. De kamers zijn sterk verouderd en slecht onderhouden. Beschadigingen aan de wastafel, afbladderende verf, versleten en beschadigde deuren en kozijnen, vieze/donkere voegen en kitnaden in de badkamer en gordijnen die niet volledig sluiten. Dit zijn naar onze mening geen kleine gebruikssporen meer. De kamers zijn duidelijk aan renovatie toe. Wij hebben hiervan foto's. Ook het zwembad vertoont zichtbaar achterstallig onderhoud. Op meerdere plaatsen ontbreken of zijn mozaïektegeltjes beschadigd. Daarnaast telden wij slechts 14 ligbedden bij het zwembad, terwijl het hotel 92 kamers heeft. Dat vinden wij voor een hotel van deze omvang absurd weinig. Het openbare strand op ongeveer 100 meter afstand vonden wij erg vies en er zijn geen ligbedden. Wil je naar een nabijgelegen strand met ligbed en parasol, dan betaal je €50 per persoon. Met vijf personen is dat €250. Voor goedkopere stranden moet je verder reizen, waardoor je extra reistijd én vervoerskosten voor bus of taxi hebt. Voor een hotel dat zich als strand-/vakantiehotel presenteert, vonden wij dit zeer teleurstellend. Ook de service liet ernstig te wensen over. Wij hadden €45 betaald voor een late check-out. Ondanks die extra betaling bleek onze toegang tot de kamer vervolgens geblokkeerd. Als je extra betaalt om langer over je kamer te kunnen beschikken, mag je toch minimaal verwachten dat je de kamer daadwerkelijk kunt betreden. Daarnaast zagen wij de badmeester gedurende de dag herhaaldelijk met zijn hand in/aan zijn kruis zitten. Wij vonden dit zeer onprofessioneel en bijzonder onaangenaam om voortdurend te moeten aanzien. Alles bij elkaar vinden wij de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding bijzonder slecht.

The room was not the one we booked, there are obviously renovated and old rooms. We got old one, beds were uncomfortable, very very old bathroom, it was not posaible to completely close the door from bathroom. We got spoiled coffe milk in the room. When we asked for another room, staff was not helpfull and nice.

The bed was ok and the pillows didn't suck. The breakfast had many options.

The bathroom was dirty with empty shampoo, conditioner and soap bottles and the furnishings were run down and old. The breakfast staff were rude and rushed us.

Location to beach and local shopping

Dated, very noisy rooms, you could hear absolutely everything through the walls, and they allow locals to pay and use the pool facilities, not great when they are loud and obnoxious and take up all subbed facilities.

Fantastyczna, życzliwa obsługa. Ludzie dbają o jego czystość. Śniadania bardzo dobre, każdego dnia to samo. Miła pościel i puszyste ręczniki umiliły nam pobyt. Klimatyzacja działa bez zarzutu. Woda caly czas dostępna bez problemu o każdej godzinie

Zdjęcia pokoi i basenu z ofert bookinkg odbiegają od rzeczywistości 😅 jedynie autentyczne Zdjęcia są holu oraz te ostatnie z pokoju rodzinnego. Dużym misusem były nie działajace gniazdka i bardzo głośne sąsiedztwo. Widok był rzeczywiście, ale na parking 🙃 hotel raczej 3* ale z aspiracjami na więcej.

The beds were awful. Extremely hard. Rooms were dated, this was disappointing and didn’t fit with the rest of the property. There was a school party on the same floor who were extremely noisy during the night.

The renovated rooms are great! Sea view between the trees -amazing and helpful staff ..we love this hotel we always stay in it when we come to Glyfada .The location is perfect , close to everything you or your kids would like.pool is great. Breakfast is great too

Great location near some shopping and restaurants and, though we did not use it, the sea front. The X96 to the airport is just across the street. We stayed here for a short layover before a flight the next morning. We were a bit short on time, so we Uber’ed to the airport, smoothly. Decent breakfast and efficient staff. The pool area looked nice, though we did not have time to try it out. Nice bed and room with plenty of space for the two of us.

The bathroom could do with some refurbishing, but was enough for our needs. The front office staff were slightly perfunctorily.

The location is desirable, and the renovated rooms are pretty good overall but still with maintenance issues. The breakfast was good and properly protected with retractable lid dishes. Some of the staff are knowledgeable and attentive, but other staff are hard to talk to and not be dismissed.

The hotel seems to have management challenges. They do offer beach towels but offered a shredded one that they should be embarrassed to still use. I don't believe this is staff oversight, but a manager's decision to not spend money for a towel. There are mosquitoe screens on the balcony doors but don't close well, so it's a moot point. The drain smells in the bathroom even in the updated rooms. So, I'd only book here if he price was really good and I needed to. Also, the twin beds pushed together..

No parking… website says they have an outdoor lot down the street & they do not. Also staff at front desk was rude… waiting a while to check in and then when we asked questions they seemed upset to answer. And it was a tad loud being on the busy street even with the balcony door shut.

Η ευγένεια του προσωπικού και η τοποθεσία

Ηταν η πρώτη φορά που έμεινα σε αυτό το ξενοδοχείο και σίγουρα η τελευταία . Επειδή είχαμε φτάσει πολύ αργά τη νύχτα δεν ήθελα να κάνω φασαρία . Το δωμάτιο που μας έδωσαν το 323 μόνο για ξενοδοχεία τέταρτης κατηγορίας έκανε . Από ότι είχα δει στις φωτογραφίες και από ότι είδα από τις πόρτες που ήταν ανοιχτές σε άλλα δωμάτια ήταν όλα μια χαρά . Ομως αντίθετα το δωμάτιο που μου έδωσαν ήταν ένα δωμάτιο που ίσως το είχαν για το προσωπικό ή για πελάτες που ίσως θεωρούσαν ανεπιθύμητους ;Μένω συχνά στην περιοχή της Αθήνας και δεν έχω εκφράσει παραπάνω για αλλά ξενοδοχεία . Αλλα για το δωμάτιο που μου έδωσαν στο ξενοδοχείο αυτό και που κόστισε για μια βραδυα 183 ευρώ ήταν καθαρή απάτη και κοροϊδία . Με τα ίδια χρήματα μένεις σε πολυ καλυτερα ξενοδοχεία στην περιοχή της Αθήνας . Το δωμάτιο είχε ένα μικρό μπαλκόνι με μια καρέκλα και η πόρτα ήταν πόρτα εισόδου και όχι κανονική μπαλκονόπορτα. Το δωμάτιο όπως έμπαινες είχε ένα τοίχο με υαλοτουβλο και κανένα παράθυρο . Τι δηλ με θεώρησαν για κάποιον ανόητο ή επειδή είμαι Έλληνας μου έδωσαν το χειρότερο; Λυπάμαι πολύ για την αναξιοπιστία τους . Δε θα ξαναμεινω ποτέ . Επίσης να μην παραβλέψω ότι ξέχασαν να με ξυπνήσουν στις 07.00 το πρωί και θυμήθηκαν μετά τις 09.00 να με πάρουν τηλ για αφύπνιση . Τέλος ενώ τηλεφωνικά τους είχα δηλώσει ότι θέλω μια ώρα παραπάνω να κρατήσω το δωμάτιο δηλ αντί για 11.00 να κάνω τσεκ αουτ στις 12.00 και είπαν να μην ανησυχώ , την ημέρα που ήταν να φύγω μου είπαν ότι δε μπορώ να κρατήσω το δωμάτιο παραπάνω και ότι πρέπει να το παραδώσω στις 11.00 προς μεγάλη μου έκπληξη . Το πρωινό ήταν πολύ μέτριο . Τίποτε το ιδιαίτερο. Μόνο ο χώρος στη ρεσεψιόν αξίζει . Ολο το υπόλοιπο κτίριο και κυρίως τα δωμάτια χρειάζονται ανακαίνιση.

Le petit déjeuner était correct. Pour le reste, l'hôtel est très en dessous des standards 4 étoiles qu'il prône.

Très déçu de cet hôtel. Lors de notre réservation, la piscine était censée être ouverte mais elle ne l'était pas à notre arrivée. L'hôtel nous dit que c'est la faute de Booking qui ne met pas a jours les informations. Bref, notre deception aurait pu s'arrêter là car ça n'est pas très grave en soit mais non, la chambre qui nous a été attribuée donnait sur la route, très passante, une deux fois deux voies. Nous sommes alors descendus demander si nous pouvions changer de chambre pour une de l'autre côté de l'immeuble. La personne à la réception nous a affirmé qu'il n'y avait plus de chambre de disponible alors nous sommes restés dans la même chambre. Problème la chambre était très mal insonorisées et le ballet de voiture n'a pas arrêté de la nuit. Résultat, impossible de dormir pour ma femme et moi. Non seulement, l'insonorisation était mauvaise mais la chambre était dans un très mauvais état; porte de la salle de bain dégradée, joints sales, meubles abîmés, pire encore, des files électriques qui pendaient non protégés. Bref, très loin du stranding 4 étoiles dont l'hôtel se vante. Le lendemain matin, nous avons décidé de changer d'hôtel malgré le fait que nous avions réservé pour 2 nuits. Nous nous sommes plaint pendant le check out. Leur Operational Manager est venu à notre rencontre et a admis, voyant les photos que nous avions prises, que cela était regrettable. Cerise sur le gâteau, nous avons appris qu'il y avait des chambres libres de l'autre côté de l'hôtel et que nous aurions pu changer de chambre la veille. Le Manager nous a même proposé une chambre rénovée et plus spacieuse que nous avons refusé car nous avions déjà réservé ailleurs et avions pris notre décision de ne pas rester. Après notre départ, nous avons écrit à l'hôtel sur les recommandations de leur Operational Manager. Devinez quoi, aucune réponse de leur part. Même pas une notification confirmant la bonne réception de notre...

The commun areas

This hotel does not meet 4-star standards. I stayed from May 2 to May 4. First room (322) had a bathroom water leak and had to be changed. Second room (422) had an extremely small bathroom (approx. 160x140 cm) with a 50x50 cm shower, which is practically unusable. Only after complaining, I was moved to a third room with a proper bathroom (approx. 180x190 cm), clearly showing the previous rooms were below acceptable standards. Most concerning, the staff stated that because I paid a lower price (120 €/night, without breakfast), I should not expect better quality. This is misleading, as star classification should guarantee minimum standards regardless of price. Be careful: the actual conditions do not match a 4-star hotel

This hotel is a complete disappointment and nowhere near a 4-star standard. The facilities are extremely old and poorly maintained—many things simply don’t work. The overall feeling is more like an abandoned Soviet-era building than a functioning hotel. The bed was extremely uncomfortable—I literally left with back pain after just a few nights. Housekeeping is unacceptable for a 4-star hotel; the room was cleaned only every second day. On the first night at 01:30 AM, a group of pupils staying at the hotel were running through the hallways, knocking on doors, and making excessive noise. There was no control or response from staff, making it impossible to rest. Overall, very poor experience from start to finish.

Vieux équipements. Le robinet de l’évier fait un bruit incroyable, il réveille même l’autre personne qui dort. Beaucoup de saleté au sol à notre arrivée. Sèche-cheveux qui s’arrête au bout de 5 min d’utilisation.
