The garden facing room is actually facing the road.. The first room we were allocated was right next to very noisy kitchen fans/equipment As a light-sleeper,and just expecting the quiet of the beach.. disappointing Was given a different room Wish they’d rather given us a choice to upgrade to sea view room.. Rooms not well laid out Furniture refurbishment needed Very steep stairs to rooms upstairs Such an amazing location-the downstairs is so stunning was just expecting the rooms to equal this

We were there 15 years ago. Already then problems with leaking ACs . To get in bed and it’s wet is not a fun experience. The housekeepers sorted it out but no compensation

The only negative is that the hotel is now aging terribly. It is now a dowdy old lady. It needs a serious interior overhaul to bring it into the present day.

Reviewed Mar 26, 2026Obviously you can’t fault the location with the Indian Ocean right there. Important to have the pool as the sea is often too rough to swim. The service was friendly, efficient and helpful. Our bedroom overlooking the sea was plain but very comfortable. Some reviews had not been so complimentary but we were pleasantly surprised.
It’s obviously a busy hotel but could do with better attention to maintenance. Felt certain appliances in the bathroom hadn’t been noticed for some years as friends who had stayed there 2 years ago found. The bathroom was a bit lacking on shampoos etc The food was better than expected and wine choice was, unexciting, but okay.

Room poorly insulted and was extremely noisy up and until midnight. Light seeping in from windows and door Extremely expensive for a room that does not have a sea view and felt like we were sleeping in a servant quarter. Will definitely not pay proper money for such poor accommodation. Was extremely disappointed as I expected a high quality of stay. If the room is not properly upgraded to suit the guest house it should be offered a much lower rate so as to not create the impression that the room is a quality suite. I really felt like I was defrauded and am really disgusted.
