A noter que les taxis ne se rendent pas jusqu’a l’hôtel, il vous dépose à un parking à 500m puis il faut soit marcher soit prendre un Tuktuk, information que nous n’avions pas. Les chambres sont très bruyante. Hôtel dans son jus, literie plus qu’inconfortable.. la salle de bain n’en parlons pas.. la climatisation est certe présente mais impossible de la laisser tourner la nuit étant donné le bruit qu’elle fait. Le petit déjeuner est à revoir, très peu de choix. Les lumières sont à allumer en dehors de la chambre, et la porte se verrouillant avec un cadenas, cela ne laisse pas place à des allers retours entre l’extérieur et l’intérieur de la chambre. Nous avions réservé deux nuits, impossible pour nous de rester la deuxième nuit nous avons réservé dans un autre hôtel et sommes partis.

Everything - The location was prime, yet rooms were quiet. The restaurant was fresh and tasty for all meals. The rooms were beautiful and well equipped with AC, a comfortable bed, and hot shower. And the staff were all friendly, peaceful, and were constantly cleaning the hotel.

Struttura bellissima, molto curata e con stanze grandi e raffinate. Staff gentile e disponibile. Terrazza panoramica, probabilmente con una delle viste più belle su Udaipur e il lago Pichola. Ottimo il ristorante, si mangia benissimo e al tramonto rendono tutto magico riempendo la terrazza di candele. Zona ottima per girare per la città. A due passi dal City Palace! Bella anche la piscina panoramica.

Bagno non curato come il resto della struttura e della stanza ma comunque con tutto il necessario.

Le personnel est très serviable, on nous a aidé pour des places de spectacle de danse, pour le trajet taxi en partant et au restaurant tout le monde a été aux petits soins pour nos enfants, merci!

The property is ideally located for diving into the local scene. It is located on one of the tiny roads/paths that are just wide enough to for two motorcycles to pass. No cars. You can walk for hours just exploring the old city or you can walk ten minutes to see the city palace (highly recommended) or 5 minutes to see the local puppet / folk dancing show - also HIGHLY recommended. And five minutes downhill takes you to the edge of the lake and the port for getting a boat to tour the lake. And you can walk up to the hotel roof and look out over the lake and see the water palace and the other side of the lake, facing buildings. Also on the roof is a lovely pool and a great place for drinks and food. The food I had was very good but priced 50 percent higher than in the town - but that's convenience. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The property is billed as a heritage house and it definitely still has that feel and location. If you want 5-star sterile luxury, book somewhere else outside the city. If you want a real cultural experience, and can simultaneously walk around dung and avoid motorcycles zipping past you, then stay here. If I return to Udaipur, I'll book the Udaigarh.

The bed was adequately comfortable but not cushy. The linens were not outstanding, they felt like they had been washed in hard water. There is hot water to the room, but you must request that the front desk turn it on for you. I took two cold showers before I thought to enquire about it. It's hot there, so the cold shower was fine, but sometimes that's not what you want. So ask. It's an easy fix and one that I think they should put on a note in the room. The AC was very loud providing adequate cooling but with a deafening source of white-noise that cancelled out other sounds. The location is tough to find. Be sure you have data on your phone (my eSim never connected - avoid Nomad) OR you have a detailed map to the hotel. The taxi that takes you from the airport cannot drop you off at the hotel. I wandered around a bit with my suitcase asking a few people for directions and getting approximately there but finally just asking for help to get there. A kindly cafe owner got one of his staff to take me there direct on his motorcycle (with my suitcase on my lap). Once there, it was more or less easy to find my way around the city, though GPS would have been helpful. When I left the hotel, the staff booked a taxi for me (INR 1050) and two of their staff carried my luggage for me to the taxi meet point about 500 meters from the hotel.

Me gustó todo sobre este hotel. Ubicación perfecta, muy céntrico, con muy buenos restaurantes alrededor, habitaciones bastante espaciosas y con bonita decoración. El aire acondicionado funcionaba perfectamente. La piscina super limpia y preciosa. La vista desde el balcón espectacular y la comida en el restaurante fue la mejor que hemos probado por nuestro viaje alrededor de India. No limpian la habitación pero eso no es un problema para nosotros. Ni bien solicitamos mas papel higiénico y cambio de toallas, en 4 minutos lo tenían ya todo listo.

An unexpected gem. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. We were upgraded to a bigger room. Great facilities, breakfast and bar/restaurant great. The room was lovely with a fridge to keep water cool. Everything clean and nice.

There’s only one thing to mention - as a woman using the pool I felt uncomfortable with people who were not using the pool stood taking photos/videos of me in the pool area.

The location is excellent for the city palace, ghats and shopping. The pool is nice and the view from rooftop restaurant great. They serve good western and Indian food

The hotel was so pretty and a nice place to stay, it has some crazy rooftop views, a beautiful rooftop pool, good people, and nice food... I loved every bit of their service and kindness to everyone of us🫰 Rooms were pretty with wonderful aesthetics. Complete value for money and trust🎀 One of the best place and people I found at hotel Udaigarh, I'm so greatful to everyone there, the staff was so kind and nice to us, the services were amazing and the food there was best (my favourite breakfast was the pancake, it will really be my best memory 🥹🎀). Absolutely amazing! Loved everything about this wonderful hotel. The kind staff, rooftop that pool overlooks the lake, restaurant with delicious food, central location and room with a view were perfect. Even the other guests were friendly and good fun. In all my travels, this is one of the best value for money places I have ever stayed. Just wonderful.

I selected Hotel Udaigarh for a study abroad and cultural exchange program I lead through Michigan State University each summer. I cannot say enough good things about Veerendra and his entire hotel staff. They treated us all with such kindness and more like family than as mere guests. They tolerated our team of more than 20 students and 4 instructors from both India and the US for nearly 6 weeks, and we will never forget their grace and helpfulness each and every day. Had a wonderful stay for a month! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff were warm, courteous, and always ready to help, making the experience even more enjoyable; it just felt like home I am home. The food was delicious, and the overall atmosphere was so so peaceful and welcoming. The view in the evening was magical from the hotel’s rooftop. Thank you to the entire team of Udaigarh for their excellent hospitality. I would happily recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again.

The absolute best hotel in Udaipur. The rooms are cozy, well decorated, and very clean. I slept well every night for a 5 week stay. But the best part about this hotel is the rooftop and staff. They are so friendly, so welcoming, and so talented I felt like I was living in luxury the entire month I was here. I will be back very soon, and am so excited to see all of them again. If you wish to stay in old city Udaipur, this is the obvious choice!

We had a really enjoyable stay at this hotel. The rooftop pool was amazing and a great place to relax after a busy day. The bar and restaurant staff were incredibly friendly and always made us feel welcome. The food was also excellent. I would highly recommend the honey chilli potatoes and the chilli paneer – both were absolutely delicious and some of the best dishes we had during our stay. The hotel was very clean, especially compared to many places we’ve stayed while travelling in India, and the air conditioning worked brilliantly, which made a huge difference in the heat.

The only downside was that the bed was quite uncomfortable, which affected our sleep a little. Other than that, we had a great experience and would happily stay again.

El personal muy amable, nos ayudaron con todo. El desayuno maravilloso, la terraza, las vistas, la ubicación, el baño impoluto muy bien.

El agua de la piscina no parecia muy limpia. Muchas palomas y cagadas de paloma en la zona de la piscina.

Le rooftop et la splendide vue sur le lac Pichola. A moins de 10mn à pied du City Palace. Idéal pour une nuit pour la vue mais d'autres hôtels à côté sont meilleurs pour quelques euros de plus.

Pas de fenêtres mais de petites lucarnes et les ouvrir c'est d'accepter la cohabitation avec les pigeons. Expresso payant même avec le petit déjeuner inclus. Peu d'interaction avec le personnel.

You get so much for your money at Udaigargh! The rooms are comfortable and quiet, the property is well-maintained and beautifully decorated, and the pool and rooftop restaurant really make it stand out. We enjoyed breakfast at the restaurant everyday and had dinner there twice; both times we were impressed with the quality and fair prices. The pool is clean and the water was nice and cold. The staff was great, and went above and beyond to help us with a train booking. The beds were firm but comfortable, and despite its super central location, we didn't get any street noise. Last but not least, the hotel is perfectly located within the Old City and it's very easy to get around or flag down a tuk tuk. It has the vibe of a much pricier hotel, and we enjoyed pretty much everything about it.

The bathroom drains started to smell after a day or so (seemed to be connected to the hot water heater being on?). Because of this, a room cleaning would have been nice during our 5-night stay.

The location is perfect if you want to save time in commuting and have less days in hand. Rooms perfect and view lake view from restaurant is too good.

Standard rooms lack windows but it is compensated with taste full decor.

J’ai passé un très bon séjour dans cet hôtel. C’est le seul parmi les six où j’ai séjourné qui a vraiment assuré le service de chambre : lit refait et serviettes propres régulièrement, ce qui est très appréciable. La chambre était spacieuse, propre et confortable. Le personnel est également très sympathique et accueillant, et très réactif : nous avons eu un souci avec le frigo qui ne fonctionnait pas, mais il a été remplacé rapidement. Un autre gros point positif : la restauration. Nous avons pris tous nos repas à l’hôtel, c’était vraiment délicieux et en plus très abordable. Le rooftop offre également une superbe vue, idéale pour se détendre.

Cependant, il y a quelques points à améliorer. La chambre manque de lumière naturelle, ce qui peut être un peu dommage. De plus, il faut demander à chaque fois à l’accueil pour avoir de l’eau chaude, ce qui n’est pas très pratique.

I had a really lovely stay at Udaigarh Hotel. The room was very clean and full of charm, which made it feel both comfortable and special at the same time. The rooftop terrace is absolutely amazing, with a beautiful view over Lake Pichola – the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the atmosphere. The food was also very good, and the staff were extremely friendly and attentive throughout my stay. I would especially like to highlight one thing: before arriving, I had already paid for my stay via Booking.com, but I had completely forgotten about it. When I checked in, I told the staff that I would like to pay immediately since I had to leave very early the next morning. Later, when I passed by the reception, they stopped me and informed me that I had paid twice and that they would refund the amount to my credit card. I really appreciated their honesty – that was truly impressive! It’s a pity that I only stayed for a short time, as I would have loved to experience more of the hotel and the city. One thing to keep in mind: cars are not allowed directly in front of the hotel due to a restricted zone, but there are plenty of rickshaws around that can take you there if you don’t want to walk. Overall, I can highly recommend this hotel and would definitely come back.

Ich habe mich hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Schöne Dachterrasse mit gutem Essen, entspannter Poolbereich, der teilweise etwas zu gut besucht war. Trotzdem sehr entspannend, vor allem, wenn es sehr heiß ist. Ich hatte ein sehr schönes Zimmer im mittleren Geschoss. Alles tipptopp sauber.

Beautiful heritage hotel in a great location. It’s right on the lake, easy, walking distance to local attractions, the location couldn't have been better! As it is in the heart of the old city, hotel is accessible by few minutes walk ( from the closest drop off point by taxi) or by Tuk Tuk. The views from the rooftop restaurant are incredible! Pictures don't do the justice :) The breakfast was delicious, especially made-to-order omelettes and pancakes. Dinner in the evening, local cuisine, was delicious. Restaurant is very popular so don't forget to make an enquiry for table booking as we arrived and the restaurant was fully booked ... but than A huge thank you to the staff! as they were very kind and helpful and made an extra space for us :)

Situated within the fort, which is a lovely location. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our room had a magnificent view over the city. Just a short walk the city palace museum and the seven Jain temples. We had a really great time in Jaisalmer, made extra special by our hotel.

For the price i would have expected a breakfast like most other hotels of this quality. The grilled fish was frozen ot fresh and was tasteless it needs taking off the menu it let the other food there down.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour de 3 nuits au Udaigarh, l'hôtel est situé dans la veille ville effervescente, tout près du City Palace. C'est un havre de paix après les visites de la ville et des environs. Notre chambre était charmante et confortable. Les différentes terrasses de l'hôtel proposent un restaurant et une piscine avec une vue magnifique sur le lac Pichola et le le Lac Palace. La piscine est un vrai plus (il faisait 36 degrés l'après midi).

Seul bémol, notre dernier jour, des ouvriers travaillaient autour de la piscine. Cela était gênant pour toutes les femme présentes. Les travaux auraient pu avoir lieu après 18h30, heure de fermeture de la piscine.

The common parts of the hotel are nicely decorated and it has a great location , with a lovely roof terrace with views across the lake. Breakfast was also good too, but I stay in a hotel to be comfortable and to sleep well, which wasn't the case. I would have given a lower rating but the reception manager was helpful and refunded me the 2 nights that I didn't want to stay there.

The bed wasn't comfortable and I wasn't happy with the cleanliness of it either. The room had no sound insulation so you can hear toilets flushing etc from the other guests and people talking as they go up and down the stairs to the terrace. I arrived late and didn't know that the hot water is a central system and not individual and only works between certain hours( if you lnow you can request that it be turned on ) , so I had no hot water either. I've slept in places for half the price that are clean, have comfy beds and individual water heaters, so this was a big disappointment.

We loved this hotel, its staff, the location and the view from its rooftop restaurant at sunset was sublime - originally we intended to eat at other places but nowhere would have had a better view. The rooftop pool had an equally great view, loungers were almost always available. Food was good, cocktail/mocktail options plentiful. Whilst it was early we always went up to eat at 6pm, so we could see the sunset as we ate, although we could have just watched it from the pool and eaten later.

If I had to put a downside then it would be the noise in our room, it was right next to reception so got all the noise from people coming in to the hotel. Another minor consideration is the general area, it's not accessible to cars, only autos, not a problem for us though.

Everything was perfect - the location, the pool, the view and the staff. Highly recommend

Rooftop view to die for. Fantastic staff, who were attentive and happy to help with anything. We ate breakfast here every day, delicious coffee and egg options. Lunch/dinner also really good. Spending lots of time on the roof terrace for swimming, drinks, breakfast lunch and dinner on the terrace made for a really special stay ✨

We had to move rooms on the first night due to noise on the ground floor, but the staff were understanding and quickly moved us to another room. Bathroom could have also done with a deep clean.

Magnifique vue, chambres très belles et piscine au top, confort au rdv mais eau chaude pas toujours disponible quand on le souhaite (mais il fait chaud, on s'habitue). Service de laundry, restaurant accessible et délicieux également avec panorama inoubliable ! Chambres standard sans fenêtre extérieure. Pour un départ très tôt une personne nous a préparé un petit déjeuner à emporter et un membre du personnel a dormi dans l'entrée pour pouvoir s'occuper de nos bagages.

Nice place to stay in center of city with amazing view and good food

We stayed at Udaigarh for 4 days, and the highlight of our experience was definitely its prime location. Situated right in the heart of the old town, everything is within walking distance, which made exploring extremely convenient. The staff was courteous, attentive, and very helpful throughout our stay. Initially, we were allotted a room near the reception, which was slightly noisy due to phone calls and conversations. However, as soon as we shared our concern, they promptly shifted us to a room on the third floor that was peaceful and much more comfortable. The rooftop view is absolutely worth it and adds to the overall charm of the property. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the centre of town with easy access to all major attractions.

There’s nothing major to point out, but just for awareness — since the hotel is located in the old town, cars cannot reach the exact entrance due to the narrow lanes. However, the staff is very supportive and helps with luggage transfer, so we didn’t face any inconvenience at all. Still, it’s good to know this in advance.

We stayed in room 106 and we were disappointed with the comfort of the mattress, mattress certainly wants to be replaced due to wear (springs). The rooftop restaurant food was good but the ambience of the rooftop was spoilt by the noise level of at least one large tour group most evenings and sometimes two large groups.....so we ate elsewhere for dinner.

Had a great 4 night stay. This hotel must have one of the top 5 views in Udaipur. Having breakfast, lunch and dinner on the terrace with a few beers never got old. The hotel and restaurant staff were great. Special shout out to Rakesh M for being attentive and making sure the cold beers kept flowing.

This hotel had a great location for the stunning lake views and proximity to some of Udaipur's main attractions (City Palace and Jagdish Temple) and we found the staff to be friendly and welcoming. Our room was spacious, charming and comfortable, with a good level of cleanliness. We especially enjoyed the sunset drinks and meals at the rooftop restaurant with amazing views. We had a great stay in this hotel and would not hesitate to do so again! An important detail is that this hotel cannot be reached by car only tuk tuk, as the streets are the small and narrow streets of the old city. In our case, our driver dropped us off at a (not too far) parking place and we then took the rest of the short drive to the hotel by tuk tuk. For us this was not a problem, but perhaps this detail could be added somewhere on the hotel website.

I like where it's placed, at night very quiet, and great views from the top floor, there is even a pool up there. The food is excellent, there is an elevator and its so clean. This is a gem.
