Reviewed Aug 28, 2026Staff was friendly and welcoming at the reception desk , and upgraded on of our rooms to a suite which was a great surprise . love the location with a short walk to the casino and restaurants. overall we loved it and would have stayed longer if it wasn't for our trip to the Kruger park the next day . I would recommend this hotel and cant wait to return again .
Nothing loved it , it wasn't cheap but I was expecting to pay more for a top class place like this.

Busy doing maintenance in room next to mine when I stayed there with a lot of noise. Very irritating as I did spend quite some time in the room between meetings.

Rooms are tatty & tired … R6700 for one night. Needs considerable renovations & brought up to a true 5 star. Some staff are poorly trained. Room facilities are woeful for this price. Shower bath !? No robes ? No modern lighting or adapters. Carpers are old & marked … 🤢

Reviewed Jun 2, 2026Nice hotel, not a lot around the area apart from a Casino and a very sad sort of food court place. I would only stay here again for the free shuttle and location to the airport.
Quite expensive.

Reviewed May 28, 2026Lovely hotel with all the charms expected of a 5 Star Hotel. The rooms were nicely decorated and the bed was comfortable with lovely pillows. The room was very clean and the staff exceptional. Nice hotel, but not worth the price per room.
Stairs to the first floor, and there was no bar in the hotel. The only area was the restaurant, so I ended up eating at Emperors instead.

Noisy next to the highway, smoking area inside the resteraunt really spoilt our breakfast as the door was open the whole time. We would have enjoyed to sit longer but smokers have priority.

Reviewed Jan 19, 2026The fact that there is NO NUMBER in the room for a concierge, for Front Desk, etc. There is a 1010 number. I phoned, someone answered 'hâllou' and when I enquired whether this was housekeeping I had this astonishing answer 'which hotel sir'? Useless to say I now know you are covering 18 hotels and the request I made for extra milk, which was promised to be sent up, is still on its way to my room. Maybe the new occupants will receive it. The directory in the room had pages of explanations of the breakfast from every possible angle. Nothing else. So maybe that is your focus, breakfast. At the end, I found the stay exceptionally transactional. We just arrived back from The Palace at Sun City and the cultural difference was immense. Anyhow, we paid, we slept, we ate and we left. Meaningful regards
