Garden Court OR Tambo International Airport

Locality to the airport and friendliness of the staff

We enjoyed the buffet dinner and the proximity to the airport and to the highway. There was a pretty garden and very safe parking.

Transport was easily available and didnt have to worry about anything. Place was ok for a 1 night stay.

Would be nice if they could upgrade their look a bit. Furniture is outdated. Also, during breakfast time one of the servers was placing cutlery onto the tables.. a knife fell on the floor he simply picked it up and placed it onto the table. Didn't wipe it or anything. A bit concerning from a hygiene perspective. Makes you wonder what goes on behind the kitchen.

I like the location and the hotel

Its very old and neglected

The breakfast and evening meal was very good

I had to pay for bottle water as there was no bottle water in the room

Toller Flughafentransfer. Sehr gutes Frühstücksbuffet. Schöner Garten. Ideal für Stopover.

Heerlijke bedden, ruime kamer. Gratis shuttle.

Irish restaurant not great, cleanliness a problem, cockaroach crawling across the bar?

Very convenient to airport

It is a little dated and needs a refurb

Shuttle bus to and from the airport was so convenient as we were only there overnight. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Room was clean and beds firm and comfortable. On-site restaurant open until late was perfect to grab dinner after a long flight and the included breakfast was absolutely delicious.

Cercania y transporte

The rooms are comfy and spacious. Breakfast is superb. We also had lunch and supper for three nights and it was all exceptional. The chefs were friendly and the desserts were mind-blowing. I'm big on food so it really exceeded my expectations. The beds were comfy. There are Aircons in the rooms as well as windows for fresh air. The bathrooms were decent size.

The taps had a weird spray when opened. I think it's to preserve water but it wasn't useful when brushing teeth, or washing hands. Although the shower and bath had a normal flow of water. That's the only negative I can think of.

The friendly staff. How comfortable the beds are. The location. The food was exceptional - keep up the great work!!

Attaccato all’aeroporto, navetta gratuita, camera ampia, ottima colazione

Da rivedere il bagno

Doskonałe jedzenie w restauracji - stek i malva pudding były wyśmienite.

Airport shuttle, a good and healthy breakfast and a reasonable gym for a hotel aimed at short stays

Some staff were a bit cold, especially the receptionists

Limpieza y comodidad, buen buffet

The shuttle was on time and took us to the hotel. The breakfast was also very good and is a decent price.

1. I arrived around 13:30. Check-in was the worst nightmare. Had to wait in a que where I was told people who arrived as early as 10:00 where still not checked in. This was the security telling me. To my surprise he would allow white people who just came in before us to check in. Upon me telling him that I will escalate this matter, he allowed us on the que, 20 min later. 2. Only 1 person was doing check-in while the que was that long. 3. No one to help with luggage 4. Noise of the planes was too much. 5. Swimming pool was not clean and under maintenance. Why not maintain it during the week? 6. Breakfast was not woow

Refund half of my money

Location. Close to airport. Shuttle service was excellent.

It's proximity to OR Tambo airport

The carpets are dirty and old. The phone was not working. The worst part, they allocated me room 104, directly above the bar as l learnt the following morning. The bar played very loud music until 02.00 while l listened as l could not sleep. It was like the DJ was in my room. It was very disappointing indeed. Garden Court should redevelope their old standards. The dinner was not tasty. I did enjoy their breakfast. There was variety.

Close to airport, clean, friendly staff

Only there for one night so nothing

The location is very close to the Airport and a mall, The service is excellent, the room was clean and comfortable.

The rooms are not up to standard. The carpet in the room was very dirty

The room was not clean

Near the airport, airport shuttle available to the hotel.

As above

The location was great. So close to the airport with a shuttle that was on time. My flight was at 8am and it was just perfect.

The hotel from the reception was smelling. I belive it’s a case of damp rugs mixed with air fresheners. It was a chocking smell, all the way to the room and inside the room. Please consider changing the rugs.

The location and staff helpful

The heat was not working in my room

Apprezzato giardino esterno e piscina

It was clean and close to the airport

We would have liked the pool to be clean. It had lots of leaves in it and not very nice to swim in

Buffet dinner was ok.

Bed was tiny for 2 people. Towels were small. Staff in restaurant were not proactive.

Great sized rooms and location is perfect for the airport. Staff are very friendly.

Nice looking place and handy to airport. Suitable for short stays.

Rooms were small just like the beds. Aircon was noisy. No fridge Shower was a dribble. Very weak.

The location is close to the airport

The carpet is stuffy and has an intense odour. Poor sound proofing from windows No bottled water Not enough hot beverage condiments

Location to airport beds were comfortable and Rosie o gradies

No complaints

Clean but a bit dated. Near the airport. Staff was excellent

Bottle of water in room would be nice. Carpets need some attention.

We had a challenge with having to change our dates for the booking and the service and assistance we got was exceptional. The people we spoke to over the phone were patient and helpful and we managed to check in effortlessly. Thank you Garden Court team.

breakfast was very good, shuttle excellent with the close to the airport proximity. the gardens are very nice.

long wait at the irish pub for food.

I didn't like it at all apart from the location . We couldn't get room service . Felt like a very low budget hotel which needs upgrading but the staff are quite friendly

It's aged and not in a good way

We arrived in Joburg late in the evening and the hotel had a shuttle from the airport to the property which was quite convenient. The price was good for what we got. Variety of channels on the TV was good. The breakfast buffet options were great. The hotel has a nice and calming atmosphere. Not disappointed at all.

The rooms need some updating. The mattress was uncomfortable and too soft. There was no complimentary water or bar fridge in the room. Some of the staff were unnecessarily rude. The service at the breakfast buffet was lacking. Cutlery and plates were not removed/replaced at the tables frequently enough.

Everything! The Dinner Buffet was excellent!!! Room a good size, great location, excellent shuttle service to airport early in the AM ..

Nothing, all was above our expectations

Breakfast

Room was smelling and had to change, reception was too cold

Very close to the airport

Definitely a subpar hotel, expensive for the mediocre facilities. Very small and old room. Not clean. There was a cockroach in the room.

Shuttle on time

Not enough tea, coffee in room

The breakfast was good. The location was great and the shuttle to and from the airport was great. Good WiFi was available. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I wish they had a mini fridge to put things in.

Friendly staff and excellant shuttle service and most friendly staff.

Réception ouvert 24h/24

Proximity to airport. Free shuttle, nice garden and lounge areas, buffet breakfast, luggage room , gym and late check out. Great Irish pub and food. A very relaxing stay.

No complaints at all.

Good location for our needs, and availability of a shuttle service. Great room size

The onsite pub and grill apparently isn't related to the hotel, in spite of their asking for your room number when you make an order. I was followed to my room to pay a bill when I expected to cover it at checkout. I found that quite distasteful. Rooms are dated but ok, and towels and linen could do with a refresh. The bathroom was rather small and I didn't particularly like the shower curtain arrangement. A little old fashioned.

Friendly staff

Loud aircon in room and guests are very loud late at night

Ras

I liked the regularity of the shuttle pickups and drop offs.

The rooms are too basic and the aircon makes a lot of noise..The pillows smell of hair too.

Ontbijt en personeel. Prijs/kwaliteit is prima.

Gedateerde kamers met gehorige airco/verwarming. Kieren in de ramen en deuren

I like the proximity to the airport with the shuttle service it was a bonus for us as a family with small kids. The breakfast was great, lots of options to choose from. We didn't get to explore much of the facilities as our stay was very short as it was a night stopover, so can't comment much on others.

I wouldn't say I didn't like but rather something to be improved on, a little information pack either when checking in or can be found in the room with meal times, and check out time. I needed to know what time they start serving breakfast as my flight was early in morning. The staff was though helpful to share and give information.

Very good

All good

Shuttlebus excellent, easygoing, safe

Convenient and comfortable, near the airport, free transfers, nice dinner restaurant & a separate restaurant with buffet options as well. Would happily stay again. Make sure you know where the transfer bus picks up from before arrival though, as it's not marked in the airport.
