Great location, excellent experience!
Wonderful staff. Even a departig gift that was nice. Overall very nice place.
What a lovely hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful.
We absolutely loved staying at this property during our visit to Puerto Vallarta. The location was incredible, just 10 min walk to the beach. The views were stunning and the staff was very friendly and accomodating. We stayed in Estrella, and our balcony and bonus room were perfect. Breakfast in the morning was fresh fruit, coffee and toast with jam. We also enjoyed the rooftop swimming pool area. Definitely wear good shoes as the property is on a very steep hill and the raods are cobblestone. We had no issue walking down from the property to the beach but took an Uber back, which was very inexpensive and definitely worth it. Will stay here again!
Beautiful place and exelent service
Great stay! It is definitely a hike to get to. It’s not far from the Malecon or centro, but it is up many many stairs and hills! It is dark at night so be careful walking. Beautiful rooftop pool though, amazing staff, and very clean! It’s a beautiful quiet stay above the city.
Has Iron security door and a few don’t have the key, no Staff on duty most of the time on front desk to open. They will only provide a physical one key per room
This property is beautiful, it’s very authentic and a wonderful feel of PV. The rooms were clean , bed was comfy and a/c worked great ! Breakfast was coffee, toast and fresh fruit plate that was delicious and beautiful on the patio . Now the pool is not big at all but the rooftop is big and over looks the city and you get beautiful pics . There are no fridges in your rooms which I feel would have made the stay better but there are fridges so you can stock your food or drinks and we always felt safe . The staff is remarkable and so accommodating. Get ready for lots of walking and wear comfy shoes , it’s all part of the experience of PV! We loved our stay ! 10/10 stars for this property.
Great views, rooms are adorable, scenery is mesmerizing. Staff is very friendly. Would definitely come back again. Breathtaking views of el malecon and beach from the roof top.
I loved the staff & super welcoming. Also the views from the pool amazing! Definitely recommend getting a massage while there! The best 10/10!
I loved this hotel. It is walking distance to restaurants, the Malecón and art district. Or a very affordable uber to Zona romantica or anywhere else!!!
Amazing view. Bur, almost no staff, but rooms are nice and clean, pillows a bit hard for my confort, somebody else my like them. Dirty pool.
View was spectacular. But walking to anywhere including Malecon very difficult due to steepness and cobblestone streets.
Loved this place. Great area, close to everything
This is like staying at a friend's house in Mexico. It is a beautiful villa. It is on a hill so you do have to walk up whenever you want to get back to the hotel. The pool is small and has an absolutely gorgeous view, but was not as clean as I would have liked. I am very picky. The room was fine- standard not perfect not gross. Just kind of like staying at a traditional friends house in Mexico, a rich friend lol. The people there, staff and guests, were very friendly.
The views are unbeatable! The staff is very accommodating & sweet.
Comfortable hotel close to beach and dive shops
The staff is fantastic and Luna too
Friendly staff and beautiful skyline views. Rooms were quaint and bathroom was very roomy. Super steep walk up to the hotel. Hotel had a couple parking spaces available but it was challenging to park because of how steep the streets are.
The stairs are crazy going up and down.
Excellent stay! Clean, comfortable bed, simple breakfast provided. Friendly customer service, amazing sunset view and a good workout to climb back the stairs everytime :)
This hotel is wonderful with very friendly staff, and it is well-maintained. The view from the rooftop patio and pool area is amazing. However, the roads outside the hotel are extremely steep, which makes parking challenging. Additionally, walking in the immediate vicinity of the hotel can be difficult. I would not recommend this location for anyone with limited mobility.
The rooftop is incredible.
100% recommend
Absolutely adorable little hotel. Staff was very nice. Amazing views from the rooftop pool area and the kitchen where breakfast was served. Our room was clean and comfortable. Only warning I’ll give is that it’s located at the top of a very steep hill and to get down to the main downtown area you have to use a lot of steep steps. Wasn’t an issue for us, but if you have any mobility issues it’s something to keep in mind.
Beautiful view of the beach and the city
The views were stunning, the staff outstanding but it was the marriage between authentic Mexican culture and hospitality that had us sold. We met several other guests from all over North America during breakfast which was served in the common area right by our room, Sol 4. The room was large with firm but very comfortable beds(2) The bathroom is outside the room but secure and for our room's exclusive use, it was not an issue for us. The only downside is the hill the hotel sits on, if you have mobility issues you will need to use Ubers or taxis to get there. Having said that, once you have done the hill several times it gets easier but Uber/taxis are super inexpensive. I highly recommend this hotel if you want something romantic and not your standard cookie cutter. Again the staff especially Mercedes were super helpful and accommodating. Loved our stay.
This is a wonderful, art filled hotel where you feel like you are in Mexico. You can easily get an Uber, but what fun we had walking up and dow stairs outside to get to famous places in minututes.
Booked this hotel for 6 nights in April. As you first enter the hotel, you're hit with a strong smell of chemicals, which, as we later realized, are used to deal with a severe infestation problem. Our room (Eclipse 2) was absolutely filthy with hair everywhere on the floor, ceiling fans with years of dirt and dust on them, unwashed bed skirts (one of them had an old blood stain - wow!). The bathroom was very smelly and made the entire room smell like a dirty gas station bathroom. The toilet seat was broken, there was rust everywhere and under the sink there was a large old stain and a very musty smell. The tiny (completely useless) balcony was facing someone else's apartment. Mattresses are old, hard and lumpy with no life left in them. But to top it all off, we saw a giant 2.5 inch cockroach in the rooftop pool area that ran next to my husband's head as he was reclining on a couch. Plus another one in our room the next day. Having had enough, we decided to find another hotel and move out for the last 2 nights of our stay. After we talked to the hotel manager (Beatriz Vera) and described the issues, she was very apologetic and said that she would definitely approve the refund for the last 2 nights, as long as we contacted the third party from which we booked the hotel, first. The most disturbing part? The third party contacted the hotel multiple times, with no response, and eventually the manager replied refusing to approve the refund. What kind of a business what do that?
Loved the art throughout the hotel. Our room and balcony were beautiful. There are lots of stairs and the property is on a steep hill, so wouldnt recommend to those with mobility issues.
The hotel staff was excellent.
This hotel was beautiful. A previous house converted into a 14-16 room, boutique hotel in the middle of Centro. Our room was the Eclipse 4, which had a king size bed, two small tables, a sofa, and a decent size bathroom. We would walk up a flight of stairs to get to the common area for breakfast and every night, we would walk the two flights of stairs to the beautiful roof top pool and patio. The views from hear are just stunning. My only complaint... and it's not really a complaint because it's part of its charm... is that the hotel is not as soundproof as your regular hotel. It is somewhat open air and you are in the middle of Centro. Puerto Vallarta is in a constant state of construction and on the weekdays, the noise from that filters in quite easily. We've recommended this hotel to anyone we've talked to about our trip. Just remember to bring your walking shoes and be prepared to climb a lot of stairs leading upto the hotel!!
Incredibly serene spaces.
A little bit of a walk up, but you’ll need it after the great food and drink…& the view is unreal. I’ve stayed all over the world, and this is my favourite hotel. Well appointed, beautiful artwork everywhere, and the staff are amazing.
Loved this hotel boutique great location. Awesome customer service.
The property was one of our best stays ever, and that saying a lot for world travelers. It was excellent, Estella was our room and it was exceptional. Property is difficult to access though for those with bad knees or mobility concerns. It is high on the hillside above the Malecon, but that affords it an excellent view.
Overall the stay was really pleasant. The service was great and the workers are lovely. The view from the pool is mesmerizing . I highly recommend this beautiful hotel.
The hotel is a true Mexican boutique style hotel with an amazing view from the rooftop I would caution the following it is a very steep cobblestone road and its a walk to Malecon so if you are not confident in your mobility stay somewhere else. The taxis will come to the hotel but they dont like to.Their english is limited so keep that in mind Also breakfast and coffee are not available until 830 and breakfast is only toast and fruit We asked if there was a small coffee pot we could use to make our own coffee in the community kitchen They didnt understand so we finally purchased instant coffee and made our own No bath mat in the bathroom had to use hand towels to dry the tile floor which was very slippery and dangerous when wet. With a few minor revisions it could be a really lovely hotel I am still not sure if the amazing views make up for what it is lacking
Accurately advertised and very unique.
The hotel's location is on top of a hill overlooking the city & waterfront which provides spectacular views. The pool & breakfast areas as shown in the photos are open to all residents which alone provide views worth the price. The streets leading to the hotel are very narrow & require some skill to navigate a vehicle. If you aren't comfortable driving in tight corners, it might be advised to take a cab rather than rent a car. The hotel is also within short walking distance to the Malecon & several very good neighborhood restaurants. I will definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to NV!
I really loved the property. Everyone was so nice. Our room was unique and comfortable. The breakfast was really nice and to coffee was delicious. It was just a most wonderful experience. The views from our room and the pool deck were breath taking. The only drawback was walking up and down the hill from hell, but it was great exercise after all the food we ate! I will stay here every time we return to PV!! On a side note, someone as always cleaning or touching up paint in the common areas, which made the hotel shine!
The hotel was very quaint and the rooftop breakfast was nice. The rooftop pool had a gorgeous view although the jacuzzi wasn’t working. As for the pricing, I was confused when I was given one price over the phone and another when I checked in. It was more than a $150 difference. Not sure if hotels.com did this or the hotel itself.
We only stayed one night but easily could have stayed more. The view, rooms, staff, and setting are amazing. Bfast is simple but tasty. Price was very reasonable.
Such a beautiful place to watch the sun set. Loved the staff!
Authentic, mexican boutique hotel Very clean, beautiful views from rooftop with small pool and covered areas steep hills Breakfast was coffee, toast and fruit plate
It was a lovely place to relax and regroup away from the city bustle. Rooftop pool and view was amazing. Would definitely recommend this stay.
The hotel itself is wonderful, relaxing and beautiful. The staff are warm and friendly. However, after we checked into our Estrella room, we were informed the private jacuzzi was not operable. I had searched weeks for a perfect hotel that had this amenity for our anniversary, so it was the first and foremost reason I had booked this room. If a representative would have contacted me before the trip about it not working, I would’ve booked a lesser expensive room at this hotel, or another hotel with a working jacuzzi all together. Also, it’s important to note that the beautiful bathtub pictured on the website is a shower ONLY. It is also misleading. We felt completely catfished into booking this room for the advertised amenities.
Great place. Unique hotel. Close to restaurants and beach. A bit of a climb, but worth it.
Lovely boutique hotel in the heart of PV. Breathtaking views as you gobble the delicious included breakfast or dip in the rooftop pool. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful views and a nice boutique property
Being a solo female woman traveling alone for a week, I can't say how perfect this slice of heaven was. The entire staff are quick to help, gracious and so kind. Breakfast was perfect and the coffee amazing. Walking distance to anything you could ask for, I'm 68 years old and the hill was a challenge but by the last few days I could do it with one break, it's worth the climb for the amazing veiws and a good cardio workout. I will definitely return if in the area again. A true gem. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful peaceful hotel. I miss it already and I've just returned home an hour ago.
We stayed in Solo 2, a vibrant yellow room with an incredible view of the Bay of Banderas! Humpback whales and their calves entertained us every morning we were there! Mercedes served us the most delicious breakfast of fresh fruit toast and coffee ever morning with a smile and Jesus was available for any need that we might have. This place is classical Mexican decor and hospitality high above the hustle and bustle of the Malecon. A bit of a hike up the hill, but close to everything exciting in old Puerto Vallarta, so quiet and comfortable in the evenings! Loved it and would definitely return!
Two nights on the way home, not super convenient and def not for mobility impared, but a beautiful vista once you get here. Staff are really friendly and breakfast is light but good.
The location is great and the property is clean everyone we're very good very professional i love it
This place was amazing. Unfortunately we only stayed one night since they were booked for the other nights we needed. The views are amazing, breakfast was delicious, and the rooms were decorated nicely. It is a steep three block walk up the street to the hotel but it was good exercise after eating all the good food.
Excellent location! Staff was very accommodating and professional.
This property was great value for the price point, and we'd definitely return.... if they replaced the rock hard mattress. Maybe other rooms had better mattresses than our cheapo room??
Great boutique hotel. Beautiful views. Tons of great restaurants within 15 min but be prepared for lots of stairs to get back up the hill.
In general stay was good. Small issues - to get hot water need to wait at least 10 minutes. Internet was interrupted from time to time. They would need more tables in a kitchen, as sometimes they have too many guests and no enough space for everybody. Have to wait to take my seat.
Lovely boutique hotel with great views and friendly staff.
Great view from the pool and kitchen area. AC system works great. Very friendly and helpful staff. The walk up the hill to the hotel is challenging for sure and will get you in shape. If it’s too much, get a taxi from the Malecon. Great hotel
Hotel is on a steep incline. Many steps if you plan to walk. Rooftop pool was nice. Common area with kitchen was a plus as well. We stayed 4 nights here. The AC unit in the room did not work at all. 1 ceiling fan was inoperable as well. Spoke with front desk about our issues. They could not fix the AC but on day 3 they did replace the ceiling fan which helped a little. We had no hot water for 2 out of the four days we were there. They do not have mini fridges in the room we stayed in ( Eclipse 4) . They would have been nice to have for keeping water/drinks cold. For the price point and amenities we would not stay here again.
Staff was so helpful.
The hotel has character and charm, could use a bit more TLC. Staff are friendly and helpful. The location of the Luna is great, close to the Malacon and Romantica Zone, although the walk home always involves a steep hill. The breaching whales, visible from our breakfast table every day, were an added bonus. We would stay there again.
A unique property, full of charm and with lovely people running everything smoothly. Each room is so different and the views from all floors is amazing - particularly the pool area. It is a steep climb up to the hotel, which we knew, but so is everything in this charming area. Would definitely stay here again.
The experience of staying here was adequate but seriously lacking in various ways, especially given the price. There was nothing even remotely resembling a concierge service; perhaps that’s asking too much from a Mexican hotel. And the lack of coverage at the front desk was, in my mind, completely unacceptable. Most folks at the desk did not speak English! You do get old world charm here but that comes with many features that cry out for better maintenance and updating. We would not stay here again. There are many better options in Puerto Vallarta for the price. The continental breakfast I guess met the definition of a continental breakfast but just barely. Coffee, a fruit plate and two pieces of toasted white Wonder bread with butter and jam. I am accustomed to continental breakfasts with a lot more options, including various pastries, especially in a hotel in this price range. A serious concern of mine was egress in the event of a fire. The path to many rooms (including our own) is very circuitous (up stairs and then down stairs and then travelling to an adjacent building via a small bridge). The front desk confirmed that the only way of egressing from the building was from the single point of entry (which dangerously requires a key!) . If that path were blocked for any reason, one would be out of luck. I got a chance to look at the room beneath ours and because it was closer to the street, the windows were covered with bars. That would make me very nervous.
1) Adequate but lacking in many ways given the price: $270 per night. We stayed for 6 nights in the Sirena room in late January 2025. 2) The room is large but poorly utilized. Two small Mexican style leather chairs that are not particularly comfortable for sitting at for any extended period. A small leather-topped table with a large base that makes it awkward to put your legs under it. At least one upholstered chair with a standup lamp next to it would have been a nice feature. The lighting is very poor. Unless one sat awkwardly in bed near the low-lying bedside lamp, one would not be able to read after dark. The bed area has a single ceiling light in one corner that is very dimly lit. Other than the one lamp next to the bed, that was it. The light in front of the bathroom mirror is extremely poor. The shower light was not working. The balcony off of our room was not particularly useable given its size. The wood French doors onto the balcony needed a great deal of work as they closed with large gaps to the outside; during a torrential rain I imagine they would have allowed a decent amount of water into the room. Generally there was a lack of attention to details in the room. Generally there’s an artsy look to the room but it was sorely lacking in many ways. 3) When we arrived in the room there was only one chair in the room and no bar soap or hand soap. No Kleenex tissue. The chair and hand soap were addressed immediately by the charming Beatrice (very sweet). 4) The toilet did not always flush appropriately. The shower was decent (other than the fact that the light was out). Hot water came to the shower quickly but good luck getting hot water from the bathroom sink (I never waited long enough I suppose). The bathroom in particular needed lots of maintenance. 5) The mattress was very firm and comfortable. Some folks might find it too firm (I saw some comments to that effect). 6) The staff were pleasant. But they were not present very often. In a hotel this size (20 rooms?) the front desk should be staffed at all times. The front desk is closed from early evening to morning. I have no idea how we would reach anyone when the front desk was closed, especially if one had an emergency. Many of the folks who manned the front desk (when anyone was there) could not speak any English; that struck me as odd given that the vast majority of their guests were English speaking. There was no “Getting Familiar” literature with the room so one is left entirely lost as to various issues of staying in the hotel. There IS a sign in the room with WIFI connection info. 7) The commons area is very charming to look at but in the end somewhat lacking as well. The so-called upholstered furniture were just pieces of foam covered in fabric with a back that was too far back to be comfortable for sitting. The views are very nice from the dining and pool levels. The pool is more of a soaking pool. We didn’t use it. 8) The continental breakfast I guess met the definition of a continental breakfast but just barely. Coffee, a fruit plate and two pieces of toasted white Wonder bread with butter and jam. I am accustomed to continental breakfasts with a lot more options, including various pastries, especially in a hotel in this price range. We went out to Starbucks several mornings for more options. 9) The steep hill to the hotel was not a problem for us as we saw it as an opportunity to get in our daily constitutional (plus we are reasonably fit in our 70’s). One should be aware that there are approximately 235 steps from the Malecone to the hotel (we counted!). 10) A serious concern of mine was egress in the event of a fire. The path to many rooms (including our own) is very circuitous (up stairs and then down stairs and then travelling to an adjacent building via a small bridge. The front desk confirmed that the only way of egressing from the building was from the single point of entry. If that path were blocked for any reason, one would be out of luck. I got a chance to look at the room beneath ours (which required yet another stairway down to access it, and because it was closer to the street, the windows were covered with bars. I would have been very nervous staying down there. In fairness, the hotel is nearly all solid masonry structure so a fire would no doubt spread less quickly. Another issue if one needed fast egress is that the main entry requires a key to EXIT; that is a very dangerous situation as in an emergency one might not have their key with them. The experience of staying here was adequate but seriously lacking in various ways, especially given the price. There was nothing even remotely resembling a concierge service; perhaps that’s asking too much from a Mexican hotel. And the lack of coverage at the front desk was, in my mind, completely unacceptable. You do get old world charm here but that comes with many features that cry out for better maintenance and updating. We would not stay here again. There are many better options in Puerto Vallarta for the price.
Wonderful stay! Pleasant and helpful staff and wonderful facilities. Fantastic view.
I loved the view from being up the mountain side. The room was large and nicely decorated. The only things I can say I was not happy with was that the pictures for our room actually showed the upstairs common area pictures making it confusing. I thought we actually had a full view of the ocean from the pictures that did not specify that certain pictures WERE NOT our room pictures. Other than that, it was beautiful! If you're walking and have knee issues, you will most likely need to have assistance due to the steep pitch and cobblestone on the roads.
Artistic flare and beautiful rooftop patio and pool. Very friendly staff. Unique rooms and surrounding Arts District. Only complaint would be the barking dogs at night but not the fault of this property.
Traumatizing. The property is barely staffed & it's always difficult to find somebody to help. in and out through key pads like a self service bnb. My room reeked of intensely perfumed chemical cleaning products - I could not be in the room during the day and at night it was still so bad that I tried to find a different hotel and move. I was not able to and finally reached somebody on the hotels website and they offered to move me to another room. that room smelled of mothballs. There were lewd noises in the lounge, and then some drunk person was violently vomiting all night long and it must have been echoing throughout the hotel. I cancelled my second night and when asked for a refund for the first night they refused to be in touch with hotels.com and so I simply have to pay because they won't talk to anybody about it. horrible experience. some places just go downhill fast and this is definitely one of them. do not stay here.
Wonderful stay. Helpful staff and beautiful communal spaces and rooftop pool.
The place was absolutely awesome the staff were amazing place was spotless and the views were also stunning. Highly recommend a stay with them.
The property, rooms, pool were very nice. Very clean, friendly staff. Continental breakfast was good with a very spectacular view. We met new people every morning and had some really good conversations. The only drawback is the location of the hotel as it is way way up the side of the mountain. Our taxi cab bottomed out going up the extremely steep grade. The walk to get back up to the hotel from the water was exactly 200 steps. If you don’t have any mobility issues then not a problem as the view is spectacular once you get there. Overall rating 8.5
Had an amazing time at Luna Liquida. The staff were awesome and willing to help out with whatever issue arises. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Vallarta. Low cost and close to everything I’d say.
It’s a nice hotel on top of a hill overlooking the Parroquia…so there’s a lot of UP from the malacon. Nice continental breakfast with whale viewing in the distance, good coffee.
The stay was incredible, the views, rooftop pool... My only problem was the hot tub in the room was not working. It was the reason we got the room. Other than that, the stay was idyllic!! Beautiful!!
Very friendly staff. Housekeeping daily. Great view of ocean from pool area.
The property itself was very nice and so were Mercedes and Marcos who ran it. It is unsafe for elderly people. It requires you climb up and down many very steep stairs to get there. The roads and sidewalks are very broken up. Unfortunately I had to checkout when my husband arrived because he could not climb the stairs to get to the property. Although I changed my checkout date 3 days before, Expedia refused to refund me the difference although the owners of the hotel were fine with it.
This property is a very limited boutique hotel. The rooms are tiny (at least Sol 2 &3) and really are just one person rooms. The walk up to the property is very, very steep and good luck with the walk at night. The views from the pool area and breakfast room are very nice indeed. We wouldn't stay here again its just not a very relaxing hotel experience.
The staff is amazing. Mario, Jesus and female staff members were incredibly kind. A beautiful view of the bay while being served a continental breakfast Margaritas at night with fresh grapes from the roof top overlooking the bay. A perfect spot for a 180 degrees of the bay at NEW YEARS EVE
Towels are worn but rooms were clean and had nice views The staff is excellent and friendly but this is not a safe location for people with gait issues Steep doesn’t begin to describe the location You need to be a mountain goat
I would describe as a bed and breakfast. Very nice people, beautiful but not a resort like I expected from the pictures.
A very nice stay. This is a very large house that was or is owned by a famous person. It is on a steep road and the upper rooftop terrace and pool have a great view into the sea. The road leads directly onto the malecón. Fun walking down but a little strenuous going up. Take your time and enjoy the typical neighborhood.
We stayed in a room called Corizon 2 with a dedicated kitchen and dining area for one week. The things we liked: 1) Large room with comfortable beds 2) The three common areas were very clean. 3) The views of the ocean were stunning. Things we didn’t like: 1) Had to remind staff at least three times to clean our room and change the towels. 2) Our room was not clean compared to the common areas. We could tell the floors were not washed most of the time. 3) Had a cockroach and ants everywhere in our room. 4) Our dedicated patio was not clean enough to eat off of. 5) The patio was closed in, down a series of concrete steps, gravel walkway, bridge, and finally metal circular stairs into a dirty, musty smelling 'patio'. 6) Bathroom had a broken light, broken hot water knob in sink, and broken bathroom towel rack.

Staff spoke no English, toilets backing up NO plunger on site…. Pool was filthy, pool chairs they had 4 and 2 were broken …
This place was unbelievable. Highly recommended would love to go back. The pictures and videos of this place does not do it justice. Staff was so friendly and Mercedes went above and beyond to make our stay memorable.
Unique hotel. Nice part of town. On a steep hill. Ubers do come to the front door of the hotel.
Beautiful property, friendly staff, and stunning views of the city and bay. The neighborhood is quiet, but close to all the main tourist attractions of old town Puerto Vallarta. Worth the steep climb!
Very original Mexican property with spacious rooms. The soundproofing was debatable but area was nice and quiet at night. The lack of coffee making equipment in room was unfortunate and breakfast was just sliced bread and some fruit. Highly recommend some fresh bread and pastries because the rooms rates are not cheap.
Unique setting, hospitable, quiet. Keep it a secret!
It is a very unique and lovely hotel.
Mercedes is an awesome employee. We bought eggs and each morning she would cook whatever we wanted in addition to the provided fruit and toast. She was very personable. Chuey was great as well. As all the other reviewers mentioned, it’s definitely a climb, but if you want the fantastic view it’s worth it.
Not what it seems in the pictures. The add makes it looks like you have a view from your room and instead it's a back room with separate kitchen and outdoor area. Definitely the 1st bad experience we've had with Expedia. To the point I left and rented another place at double the cost
This property is in an area close to everything you need. The Malecon and all the restaurants are steps away. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Mercedes makes up a great breakfast as well. If you are looking for a gem away from the all inclusives, this would be a great choice. Just be aware that it is up a hill so the walk can be hard on some.
Buyer beware! We had to leave the property 30 minutes after checking in, due to the fact the hotel grossly misrepresented their rooms! What we saw on Expedia was NOTHING like what we encountered in person. The first room they took us to was up two flights of spiral stairs and had a palapa roof which they deemed as "air conditioning". The bathroom had mold on the wall as well. We complained and the front desk attendant called his manager, and then took us to another room. It was just OK, but at least had AC which is what the booking on Expedia said. The room he put my sister and her husband in was AWFUL and pretty much in the basement. The hotel was full and they had no other rooms to give us. Also, there are numerous small ponds in the hotel, which had standing water that looked dirty -- a breeding ground for mosquitoes! Lastly, the roof desk infinity pool is more like a dipping pool. It is narrow and maybe 20' long. More for cooling off, not swimming. We were so disappointed. With no manager on site, we had no choice but to leave and go to a hotel better suited to our taste and expectations.

Relax at the hotel’s rooftop terrace with views to savor Puerto Vallarta’s scenery.
Choose Estrella, Sol 4, Eclipse 4, or Sirena 2 for top-floor ambiance and balconies.
Located in Centro Puerto Vallarta with easy access to Malecon and Playa de los Muertos.
