Clean comfortable with attention to detail. Large bed, plenty of surface areas to use as desk and/or dining. Welcome chocolates a lovely touch and although I didn’t use them, the phone charger and white noise machine were great additions to the room.

The location is perfect so close to town, the room is spacious and well laid out great having a dishwasher. Just a lovely place to stay.

The only thing I can comment on is the water pressure in the shower isn't great.

Rooms were really comfortable and clean with great outlook. It was quiet and easy to get to town. I was impressed by the amenities in the room. Having the small chocolate treat was lovely too!

I felt that I had all my needs met. Nothing really lacking that I could find.

Great place , great location , great host

I wouldn't hesitate to stay here for every visit to Nelson. The room was modern, warm, comfortable, quiet, clean, and there was everything available that we needed during our stay. There are also great touches like pod machine for coffee, fragrance reeds in the bathroom, and Netflix. Easy walking access to restaurants and shops.

This was my fourth visit to Nelson but my first stay at the Palazzo Motor Lodge. It’s the perfect place to stay in Nelson. My studio room was spotlessly clean. I arrived in Nelson after a 33-hour journey from the US, and I was impressed by how so much attention was paid to all the details that make a good stay great. There’s plenty of parking, and it’s an east walk to restaurants and shopping. Robyn was so welcoming, too!

We were given a very lovely room 207, spacious. Had all the facilities and extras. Small details like the night light in bathroom. Clean, comfy and luxurious feeling. Great to walk into town. Staff were wonderful.

We noticed the heat pump made a drone sound occasionally sounded like a truck outside the property. We preferred to keep off when we went to bed. They had a heater also and used that instead.

It’s getting old, cheep tiling cheep cubbords, needs a birthday, bigger pressure to fill the bath faster. And those idiots waking us up at 3-4am with firealarm? Give us some discount for next stay for that!!!

Great check in experience, knew my name as I walked in and offered me a complimentary beer on arrival which was appreciated after a long day. The suite was far above what I was expecting for the price point. Coffee & milk, all the ammeneties you'd need, with comfy beds & a big TV. Would highly recommend this place!

We really enjoyed our stay at Palazzo. Very clean and well equipped room with a lot of thought put into everything you may need. The service was impeccable, cozy comfy bed and lots of restaurants within walking distance. We will definitely be back.

We would have preferred if the room wasn’t so heavily perfumed. One of us is sensitive to smells but with the window open it went after a few hours.

We have spent a week at Palazzo Motor Lodge with the family, The hotel has an excellent location, very comfortable, clean and it has all kind of services. Special mention to the team and owners, they have been very kind and helpful with us through our stay.

The amenities are excellent; wonderful attention to every detail; extremely well managed; cleaning is outstanding; general comfort is excellent. As motels in NZ go, Palazzo is in the top 5.

Great location. Handy to centre. Room was top notch and Max and Robyn have thought of every little extra to make your stay more than comfortable. Very clean and great value for money. Our hosts were very professional but still remaining very warm and charming when we had any requests.

Most friendly staff. Had a map for us pointing out the best restaurants, places to visit for luncheon. The manager even carried our suitcases to our room. A chocolate every day. Location was perfect. A very short stroll to town and restaurant area. We highly recommend this motel. We travelled around NZ for 31 days. This motel was the best

Had a wonderful stay at Palazzo Motor Lodge. The Location was very convenient with car parking right outside our room. Rooms were clean and well laid out with great coffee options and fresh milk each day. Max and Robyn were fantastic hosts, very friendly and helpful. Would certainly choose to stay there again if we return to Nelson.

Palazzo is conveniently located a short walk from the city centre with its parks, restaurants, cafes and bars and parking is available onsite. Upon check-in, the owners were very helpful with maps and details of nearby sights. The room was immaculate and modern in style, with a desk area, tea- and coffee-making and a small balcony with table & chairs. Being double-glazed, we found it relatively quiet. We suggest that some visitors may require a ground floor room, as the second floor is accessed by a flight of stairs, there being no elevator. Given the standard of amenities, cleanliness and modernity, we thought this accommodation to be excellent value and would definitely return.

We have stayed here several times and not been disappointed. We have the one bed apartment and can’t fault it for comfort, quality of furnishings and equipment. Extremely clean and excellent attention to detail. Owner very friendly and willing to help.

We loved our stay at this Lodge. Its location is very good, near the cathedral and numerous bars and restaurants. We stayed in a "STUDIO," which is large, quiet, and very comfortable. The lady at reception was very attentive. She gave us many tips about the area and nearby restaurants.

Location was an easy walk to CBD, staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was excellent... very clean and tidy with great beds!

We had a 2 night stay in the very spacious and comfortable Presidential suite. Every detail had been thoughtfully considered, from the night light in the bathroom to the choccies in the fridge. Extremely well appointed, we enjoyed a spa at the end of a long day, and the sit down dresser in the master bedroom was a treat. Short walk to sights and restaurants.

The only complaint would be that we could not work out the light to the master bedroom, which was on a timer that cut out after about 30 seconds. Tried to call reception a couple of times from the room phone to ask, but no answer. It had bedside lamps but they were not very bright. Everything else however was amazing.

The owners are fantastic, gave us really good recommendations on where to go in Nelson. Room was comfortable, clean and well presented. Motel conveniently located within short walk to the Main Street. A very pleasant stay. Highly recommended.
