If you're looking for a warm welcome, a comfortable bed in a beautifully decorated room then this is the place to stay, owners and staff are friendly and welcoming 10/10

L'amabilité, la générosité et la collaboration des propriétaires. Le propriétaire, Simon, a mis un "bandage" provisoire sur le rétroviseur de notre voiture, qui avait été éclaté par une camionnette. Il était toujours prêt à nous donner un coup de main. Un soir où nous sommes rentrés tard, il nous avait réservé une place de parc devant l'hôtel. La propriétaire est très gentille et aimable également, prête à aider. C'est sûr que si nous revenons en Cornouailles, nous reviendrons dans cet hôtel. La propreté était impeccable, hors normes.

IThere is nothing not to like its a family run hotel where all the staff genuinly care about their guests I stay in hotels all the time but this is my goto if I am in Cornwall. Central enough to walk into town or any of the beaches, excellent cooked to order breakfast, clean, well equiped, perfect for familys, perfect for single travelers free parking. A+

Beschreibung entsprach in keinster Weise der angetroffen Ausstattung bzw. Standards. War sehr enttäuschend. Aufenthalt frühzeitig abgebrochen, kein Entgegekommen vom Hotel oder von Booking. Sackschwach.

Lovely building, cute rooms, extremely kind hosts, and a tasty breakfast! A great stop on the SWCP for a walker. The hostess, Nell, is the WORLD’s KINDEST INNKEEPER - especially for anyone with a special need. I have a gluten allergy and she made me an **entire loaf** of gluten free bread to take on the trail, and the breakfast room was stocked with plenty of gluten free treasures. AMAZING STAY, possibly the best on the entire SWCP! Added bonus: it’s just around the corner from a mini golf place :)

The location was really good. 5 mins from the beach and 10mins from the old harbour. The owner andv staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough for you. We only had breakfast one day but it was superb.

Our bed was a little hard for us but that's personal choice.

Sehr nette Gastgeber, gaben wertvolle Tipps zu Unternehmungen und Essen. Zudem durften wir unseren Mietwagen am Abreisetag noch länger als Ckeck-out auf dem Hotelparkplatz stehen lassen.

Friendly staff and comfy room, spotlessly clean and great central location.

Owners were very welcoming and easy to talk to. Room was lovely and clean, nicely presented. Would definitely stay again, highly recommend.

We found the hotel to be very clean, recently decorated and furnished., with adequate parking space. We can't comment on the breakfast because we had breakfast with relatives elsewhere.

Our trip combined stays in various other locations in Cornwall, including Penzance. We might have stayed longer at the Quies if the price of hotels in Newquay had been significantly lower than at various other locations in Cornwall. Maybe hotels in Newquay over estimate the attraction of surf boarding.

The location was great, parking was hugely appreciated! The room had everything we needed, even down to decaf tea bags! We had a separate bedroom for my daughter, a good sized and well equipped bathroom. Air con was a bonus, as was the huge tv! The bed was very comfortable. Owners very friendly and helpful!

The driveway is narrow, so may be an issue if I had brought my van but wasn’t a problem for my estate car.

We were only there for one night. Everything about the stay exceeded our expectations. Nel and her partner's ( sorry, didn't catch his name) hospitality was the icing on the cake, a real pleasure. Room was excellent, bathroom was excellent. Slept so well, right through 'til 9am. Couldn't have been improved. Very impressed, highly commended. Will definitely return should the need arise.

It's on a hill, not an issue to me. Can be noisy as on a main road. Neither of these things bothered me.,

The staff were wonderful and very helpful. The breakfast was very generous with plenty of options. Just a short walk into town and on-site parking. The decor was quirky and full of character.

The disposable plastic cups in the bathroom really drags down the feeling

A brilliant stay – the room had air conditioning, which made all the difference; the bed was wonderful, and the room was a good size. The staff were brilliant – everyone was very friendly. The location was perfect, right in the city centre.

The shower cubicle was a bit cramped. Apart from that, everything was perfect.

It was a family run hotel, so can't complain much but it could do with some facilities for entertainment.

We had a wonderful stay at The Quies. The room was very clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The bed was comfortable, the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the location was perfect – just a short walk to the beach, restaurants, and the town centre. Everything we needed was provided, and we felt very relaxed throughout our stay.

It’s a great hotel to stay in Newquay, right in the middle of the town with great access to beaches and restaurants/ cafes, they have Air conditioning inside the rooms which was absolutely amazing and life saving in the heatwave, very clean and spacious room. Highly recommend this place!

The only possible criticism would be that the staff were a little over attentive at breakfast. I would have preferred that they were on hand if we wanted anything, but not frequently coming to the table to check everything was OK.

The owners/staff were very friendly. The accommodation had everything we wanted. The air-con in the room was particularly appreciated on the hot days we had. The room was clean. Despite only having 3 parking bays, we always managed to get a space. It was a mere 10 minute walk in either direction to either end of the Newquay town strip. Perfect.

We had one of the ground floor rooms & they are both just by the entrance/exit/reception, so could get a little noisy at some points. I understand this is the building layout & nothing can really be done about that. Plus it is something I was expectig would be the case & it really wasn't that bad. This is the only small negative I could think of.

Good location for what we needed and minimal noise from other guest and people outside walking past. The hosts were very friendly and chatty, offered to carry bags to our room, clean and well presented throughout building. Able to come and go as pleased especially handy at night when coming back from dinner in the town

The room was very hot, the window wasnt able to be opened fully - only noticed prior to departure in the morning on the air con fan unit remote more features for use which potentially would of helped with the heat

No lifts if you have a lot of luggage, we only stayed for a couple of nights so not a problem for us.

What a lovely place to stay. We will definitely be staying here again. Nell is an absolute delight! Her little bar is so warm and friendly. It’s a proper, first class family run hotel. Everything was spotless and the room was lovely. Had a great nights sleep too. We didn’t have breakfast as we were up and away early. All this just a few minutes walk from the beach and shops. Room Was Very Spacious, & Spotlessly Clean. Superking Bed, Large TV & Nice Decor. Mini Fridge & Aircon A HUGE Plus! We Opted For Balcony Space/Terrace Which Was Also Very Big! Toiletries Provided, & Bonus Of A Proper Hairdryer Which I'd Forgotten. Location 3mins Walk To Town & Towan Beach. Property Also Had Plenty Of Parking. Breakfast Smelled Good, However We Didn't Eat Here. Cannot Fault This Room / Hotel & Will 100% Return On Our Next Newquay Trip

Pretty much everything, the owners were polite a engaging. The facilities were excellent and appear to be new throughout. It was spotlessly clean, had on site parking and is a short walk to lots of bars and restaurants.

Dining room inviting and one of the best breakfast spreads I’ve seen. Really nice atmosphere, will definitely stay again. Thank you!

The hotel is beautiful and perfectly located. Nell, Simon and the lovely lady who helped serve our breakfast every day were so friendly and made us feel totally at home, trust me you will never leave the breakfast room hungry. We couldn’t recommend The Quies highly enough! And will definitely be back next year

It was absolutely fine, but it's 9+ "wonderful" rating over-sold it. Place is totally clean and comfortable, but a bit cramped and uninspiring. Sound insulation wasn't great; could hear conversation of next door neighbours. Shower took a long time to come hot - I'd kinda given up by the time it did.

Property was located close to the centre of Newquay and within walking distance. Owner was pleasant and had car parking on site free of charge. Beds very comfy, hot water took some time to come through the taps but bathroom very clean. Good facilities but needed more milk pots as not enough for 2 lots of drinks

The mountwise area was quite run down with skips. The property outside and at the back was quite run down with paint tins, tarpaulin, cones and could do with a tidy up. The outside did not reflect the inside which was clean and tidy but on first impressions it gave off a Blackpool run down vibe.

The breakfast and staff were outstanding. The room was spacious and well-equipped with air conditioning, which made the stay very comfortable. Breakfast was served punctually each morning and freshly prepared to order by the kitchen staff. The team was incredibly supportive and attentive throughout our entire stay.

Finding parking was quite difficult, especially for larger vehicles like SUVs. The spaces are extremely tight, I actually scratched my car while maneuvering into the spot. Additionally, the "Ocean View" room was misleading; it only offered a partial side glimpse of the ocean from the far right, rather than a proper, direct ocean view.

Hotel doesn't look like much from the outside but inside everything is new and clean, and the rooms have air conditioning and/or fans to keep them cool. Breakfast was great and nice view from the balconies of the sea. Owners live there and are very helpful and friendly.
