The host is a really nice man. The location perfect as I was catching a flight from Nelson airport.. the unit was spotless. I'll be back.

I travel a lot for business and am very thankful to have found this gem. The hosts are amazing, it’s super clean and tidy and has everything you need, plus some. Like the extra bathroom mirror! The beds are super comfortable and the price is great.

The room was clean and comfortable and warm with a heat pump.. Small kitchen with basic essentials. Bonus of a spa bath big enough for 2. Location was good. Walking distance to several take away restaurants.

Location was great, bed very comfy. Kitchen facilities are very good. The unit look like it had been recently done up.

Would love to have stay longer

Facilities were clean. Bed was soft but not too soft, and was large & comfortable. Owner was friendly. Kitchen had everything you need.

It was a bit noisy. Though late evening & early morning everyone was considerate and were quiet.

Incredibly clean, well appointed room with everything you need. Good parking at your door and close to beach, as well as only about 5km from central Nelson. Hosts incredibly friendly and provided information about local places to visit, as well as details about the market. Would definitely stay here again.

Didn't bother us but good to be aware that it's on the flight path for the nearby airport. However, last flight is quite early at night and you don't really notice the planes after a while.

Needs more hooks and rails in bathrooms and bedrooms. Nowhere to hang things. Under the airport flight path.

Wayne kindly stored our luggage for several days prior to our stay. He made us feel very welcome on arrival and we very much appreciated his thoughtfulness in putting us in a spa room. It was perfect after several days of cycling and hiking.

The only downside was the proximity to the airport which obviously meant planes flying close but the last plane of the evening was 9.45 and the first of the morning around 6 am. It was very quiet between these times

Super motel situated close to the local beach and parkland. Easy drive into Nelson and out into surrounding area. Lovely welcome from the owner. Great place to stay - spacious, comfortable, well equipped, spotlessly clean. Very highly recommend The Arcadia Motel.0

Helpfull and Friendly owners

We chose the location to break up a long drive. Staff very friendly, accommodation comfortable & kitchen had everything we needed to cook diner.

Nothing to complain about

Loud oven clock, room smelt of a strong smell, maybe someone had smoked in it and they had sprayed something to remedy it.

Sehr freundliches Besitzerehepaar, schöner, sonniger Balkon, Backofen und sehr gute Küchenausstattung, extrem sauber, Backblech mit Alufolie ausgelegt. An alles gedacht. In 15 Minuten zu Fuß am traumhaften Strand mit Karibikfeeling

Very friendly and accommodating and helpful in all respects. The unit was clean and comfortable with AC on a hot day. The pool was lovely.

The staff are so friendly and welcoming, everything was great from the accomodation itself, the pool is great and well thought out with bbq and lounge beds etc, Parking is fantastic and onsite laundry for ease. Well maintained and clean, cosy and safe :)

We very much enjoyed our 2 night stay here - very tidy and clean, comfortable beds. Laundry facilities for a small fee. Quiet sleeping, near the airport but no disturbance overnight. Such friendly hosts, making us feel at home. Great location to the stunning beach, fun activities (go carts, water bumper boats etc), Nelson city a good walk (about 6kms). Cafes, bars and restaurants just a short walk away (1km). Very happy to come and stay here next time we are in Nelson.

Our unit was clean and the bed was so comfortable. The owner was very welcoming and helpful. Would really recommend this motel and would stay here again. We stayed in Studio room with spa bath.
