Reviewed Sep 14, 2026Maison de la Rose was honestly one of our favourite stays of the entire trip. From the moment we arrived, everything felt incredibly well organized, clean and thoughtfully maintained. Our room was beautiful,spacious, fresh, full of character and even nicer than we expected. The bed was very comfortable, and having a fridge, microwave and coffee station right inside the room was such a great little extra. Everything was spotless and you can really tell how much care goes into maintaining the property. The building itself is gorgeous. The beautiful staircase, stained glass, library, antique furniture and all the little details give it so much personality and charm. It feels like you are staying somewhere truly special rather than in a generic hotel room. We actually didn’t need to meet Hans during our stay, which says a lot about how efficiently he has everything running. The check-in instructions were incredibly clear, everything was organized perfectly, and the whole process was simple and completely stress free. You can tell there is a lot of thought behind how the B&B operates. We felt comfortable and at home from the beginning, and after a long day exploring Bruges it was such a lovely place to come back to. We would stay here again without hesitation and are already hoping to return to Bruges and stay at Maison de la Rose again. Absolutely wonderful. 10/10.

Reviewed Sep 14, 2026Die Unterkunft ist in der Altstadt und sehr nah an den wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten. Vom Verkehr her sehr ruhig, wird hatten ein Zimmer zum Hof hin gelegen. Wir haben vorab einen Code bekommen, um in das Haus zu kommen, falls Hans, der Vermieter nicht da sein sollte. Das hat wunderbar funktioniert. Im Zimmer lag ein Reiseführer in unserer Sprache bereit. Das Zimmer war schön groß, Kaffeekocher und Geschirr waren auch vor Ort, ebenso ein Kühlschrank. Am Abreisetag konnten wir nach dem Auschecken noch unsere Koffer im Flur stehen lassen, was super für uns war, da wir den Nachmittag noch in Brügge verbringen wollten. Sehr gut und damit erwähnenswert fanden wir auch, dass es im Flur eine Toilette gab.
Da es sich um ein sehr altes - aber super schön renoviertes - Haus handelt, ist die Treppe zum 1. Stock sehr steil. Das weiß man aber eigentlich, wenn man die Bewertungen gelesen hat und daher ist das für uns kein Kritikpunkt.

Reviewed Sep 11, 2026L'emplacement était accessible à pied de la gare de Bruges( environ 30 min. avec nos valises à roulettes) Très grande chambre avec un frigo et un micro-ondes et un peu de vaisselles et tasses, café, cafetière et coupes à vin. Le ventilateur portatif fort apprécié pour la nuit. Nous avons vraiment apprécié! Arrivée facile. On y retournerait certainement!
Il n'y a pas d'ascenseur mais on le savait.

It was a five-minute walk from the central square, with an excellent deli next door and a great cafe with excellent beer and coffee. Hans was available and kind and also respected our privacy. The space itself was beautiful, with old timber framing in the ceiling and lots of space for a family of five (one queen in the bedroom, one in the living room area (partitioned off a bit), one single in the hallway which actually worked okay for one of our little guys, and plenty of deep, comfortable couch space! The kitchen was well-stocked, clean, and functional. There were so many thoughtful touches for anyone with little kids: high chair, crib, changing table, baby bath, etc. Thank you, Hans!

Non è presente ascensore dunque bisogna fare attenzione se si viaggia con persone anziane o con difficoltà. La strada su cui affaccia la struttura è abbastanza rumorosa di notte essendo centrale, magari siamo solo state sfortunate noi....

Was een leuke open ruimte waar we met zijn 5en verbleven, zag er keurig uit en er was airco iets wat we wel konden gebruiken, was buiten goed warm toen wij er waren. Heel veel leuke gezellige restaurants op loopafstand. Wij hebben ons prima vermaakt tijdens ons verblijf in Brugge

Reviewed Aug 16, 2026Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in diesem außergewöhnlichen Haus, wir wurden zwar nicht persönlich empfangen, aber mit den hinterlassenen Instruktionen haben wir uns sofort zurechtgefunden, lieben Dank dafür. Das Zimmer war riesig, toll eingerichtet und gemütlich. Das Bett war sehr bequem und wir haben hervorragend geschlafen. Wir würden jederzeit wieder buchen.

So many small touches that really added to the stay - I loved the personal recommendations and loan of the guide book! Close to a parking garage to leave your car and equally close the the market square which makes it the perfect location (but still quiet at night) Thank you for a wonderful stay, I'm already planning another visit

Heizung, voll aufgedreht, trotzdem nur lauwarm. Zusätzlicher Heizlüfter war notwendig- Energiefresser Hellhörig, Leute oben drüber waren bis 1 Uhr nachts auf - knarren der Dielen durch ständiges Auf-und-Ab im Zimmer hörbar

Reviewed Apr 6, 2026Amazing location, really close to the center and car parking. The place was really tidy and clean. Everyone was able to rest properly, and there was no noise from outside. Beds and couch confortables, and the windows with good view and a lot of light with curtains open. Also the water heats really fast. Regarding breakfast wasn't included but we could still heat coffee or tea and we have plates and tools to use to eat, and a few mini markets close to the area. Absolutely amazing experience, and we could see Gr. Hans. prepared everything and every detail for our arrival. If i go back to bruges (3rd time already) will definitly try to book here again.
To be honest nothing was bad. Spent one night only but everything exceeded my expectations.

Daarnaast is de locatie ook goed bereikbaar met het OV als je de auto buiten de stad parkeert. De host was flexibel met zowel in- als uitchecken en reageerde snel op berichten. Hij had goede tips voor restaurantjes en bezienswaardigheden waar wij veel plezier van hebben gehad. Zeker een aanrader om hier te verblijven als je een weekendje naar Brugge wil!

İçeri girdiğinizde sizi sıcacık ve tarihi bir atmosfer karşılıyor. Oda çok büyük ve temiz. İkramlar için teşekkür ederiz. Şehir bu kadar güzel olmasa odadan çıkmak istemezsiniz birbirleriyle yarışıyorlar :) her konuda yardımcı olan bir beyefendi vardı. The only small downside was the separate hot and cold water taps in the sink and a shower thermostat that did not work very well.

Reviewed Jan 1, 2026The location is excellent, a very short walk into the main town Square and with lots of great places places to eat and shop nearby. It is an absolutely beautiful surroundings and the house makes every effort to make a great welcome with candles burning chocolates available with a real spirit of Bruges.
There were just a few difficulties with the shower, I think it may need a little bit of maintenance as it was difficult to operate and would only run very hot. Besides that the apartment was generally comfortable and well kept and clean.

Reviewed Dec 12, 2025I loved everything about this place. The appartment was clean, cozy, and comfortable and so beautiful. The location was perfect and made it easy to explore Bruges. Even though the owner wasn’t present, since it’s a guesthouse, everything was clearly explained in detail. It was very easy to enter and check in, and the whole process went smoothly. The atmosphere was warm and relaxing, and I would definitely stay here again.
There was nothing I didn’t like. Everything was perfect.

Reviewed Dec 7, 2025Todo. Es un apartamento espectacular, de los mejores en los que he estado. Hemos venido en navidad y tenía su propio árbol y no podía ser más acogedor y perfecto. Respecto a su ubicación, céntrico, a poca distancia de lo importante.
No hay nada que no pueda gustar en un lugar así.

Reviewed Dec 2, 2025Amazing location in the heart of the city. Check-in was seamless and communication was great with the owner. The building is quaint and peaceful. The family room at the top floor was spacious with plenty of room for a family of 4. We will definitely be back!

Reviewed Nov 27, 2025Maison de la Rose is a very comfortable traditional guesthouse in the centre of Bruges. We had a very spacious room with fridge and ensuite. Perfect for exploring the main sights of Bruges on foot.

Reviewed Nov 19, 2025O ambiente é muito acolhedor! Tem todo o charme de uma B&B, além do dono ser super solicito! Tivemos um pequeno problema com o aquecimento da agua para o banho (as 21h) e prontamente foi resolvido! Ficamos muito satisfeitos. Além disso nos foi permitido deixamos as malas no local após o fim da nossa estadia para aproveitar um pouco mais a cidade sem o incomodo das malas conosco.
O que pode ser um problema são as escadas, são dois lances bastante íngremes para acessar o quarto em que ficamos. Para quem está com malas pesadas ou tem alguma dificuldade de locomoção isso pode ser um desafio
