K's House Ito Onsen - Historical Ryokan Hostel

Wir hatten von unserem Zimmer aus direkte Sicht auf den Fluss. Der öffentliche Onsen war sehr schön. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und komfortabel.

Gibt nichts auszusetzen, wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt.

整体环境很有日本历史气息，泡汤这些也都配备的完整干净。打开窗就是河边，吃饭的地方是大窗户 景色也不错。

地铺靠窗那里会有小虫子，甚至会爬到身上。希望配备一点杀虫的。

It’s a beautifully maintained old property- everything is clean and homely and welcoming. We had a family room with a balcony overlooking the river which was so peaceful. The staff were amazing and even helped me get medical care for my son when he had to see a doctor. The onsen onsite was lovely- very clean and quiet. It’s a very special place to stay.

La stanza era grande con bagno privato e una bellissima vista sul fiume. L'onsen comune era pulito e spazioso con tutti i prodotti per il bagno. Le zone comuni erano spaziose e con arredamenti tradizionali.

The guesthouse is excellently located, very calm and peaceful, with a beautiful zen atmosphere reflecting authentic Japanese design. Plenty of facilities are available, including a shared kitchen, onsen, and dining area. We booked an individual room with futon bedding, which made for a lovely immersive experience, and private onsen options are available for those who prefer more privacy.

The house is beautiful, eating area on the 1st floor is amazing. Onsen was great. The beach is very close, as well as convenience store and supermarket.

The Wi-fi didn't work in the room, only on the 1st floor near the entrance.

It’s just an amazing hostel.

A traditional ryokan at a great price. Friendly staff, a fully equipped kitchen, a cozy community space, and a location within walking distance of the station. The ryokan itself is already an attraction, with an atmosphere that felt comparable to the Tokaikan next door. The rentable private onsen is another great plus!

As this is a traditional building, sound insulation is very limited. As a result, the sleeping experience can vary significantly depending on your neighbours and their schedules. Earplugs are provided, but they may not be as helpful if you rely on an auditory alarm or find earplugs uncomfortable. The shoe rack is not strictly monitored, so your designated spot may occasionally be taken by another guest even if you have already placed your shoes there. Perhaps using name stickers for each guest’s stay period could help prevent this? Theres option to put your shoe inside a plastic bag and bring to your room if you don't mind the plastic waste+smells. The wooden floors also make quite a bit of noise due to the building’s age, which can make it difficult for guests who are trying to walk quietly.

Piękny, stary ryokan w centrum Ito. Tradycyjne pokoje, cudowny widok na rzekę. Czysto i przestronnie. W obiekcie znajduje się onsen (męski, żeński oraz prywatny - rodzinny), tattoo friendly. Można wypożyczyć yukaty na cały pobyt. Na parterze przepiękna część wspólna. Jest też kuchnia oraz pralnia. Przemili ludzie na recepcji, zwłaszcza pani Marta :) Fantastyczne miejsce, bardzo polecam.

Le bâtiment typique, les onsens, la proximité du port pour pêcher, l’esprit auberge de jeunesse avec tout ce qu’il faut pour cuisiner et déjeuner dans les petits salons.

Les futons conviennent pour 2-3 nuits, mais nous y étions 5 nuits, ça fait mal au dos.

Echt een prachtige plek! Heerlijk om tot rust te komen in de privé onsen. De kamer was super, met een klein binnen balkonnetje.

温泉に入れる。 日本の歴史的な建物を体験できる。 ラウンジが豪華すぎる。 外国の人が多く、異国感を味わえる。 朝の無料のコーヒーは嬉しい 共同キッチンがあり、長期滞在者には便利と感じた ほぼすべての情報がバイリンガルでまとめてあって感嘆いたしました。

•よく調べていなかった私に落ち度があると思いますが、ある程度値段もしたので、てっきり温泉宿かと思っていたところ、実際はゲストハウスに近いという点で私は誤解をしていたため、思ってたのと違った‥があった。しかし必要最低限のものは揃っています。フェイスタオル、歯ブラシ、髭剃りは買うことがきる。浴衣は貸し出しがある。一部充電プラグも貸し出しなどがあったと思う。ボディソープシャンプー、コンディショナーはお風呂にある。それ以外はないので注意。 •部屋に風呂、トイレ、洗面所がない。男性の小便器と共通になっているトイレいくつか有り。女性男性関係なく入れるトイレあり、女性のみのトイレもあったがほぼ個室しかないようであった。 •部屋から1番近かったトイレは男性の小便器と一緒になってる昔のタイプのやつで(昔の市民プールなどにあるようなもの)鉢合わせたらどうしようとハラハラしました。特にお腹の調子が良くなかったため、今回、共同トイレはきつかった。あと、生理の時は泊まったら、まずいと思いました。温泉もはいれないし、トイレに安心できない。 •部屋に姿見が欲しい。 •2回キッチンの蛇口の浄水器にカビのようなものが生えていて交換が必要では？と思いました。 •貸切風呂の位置がわかりにくかった。 •まちがえてドミトリーを選択しなくて本当に良かったと思いました。

Juste un détail …. J’aurai apprécié un miroir dans la Chambre ou bien un dans le couloir avec une tablette. Car seulement un espace lavabo par étage.

L'emplacement à moins de 10 minutes de la gare, proche de la mer, des festivals, et du magnifique canal est parfait. Parfait en été notamment pour rester au frais

Ça reste un avis personnel, mais nous avons tout apprécié. Le lieu comporte une buanderie pour faire sa lessive/séchage (500¥ par lot), les bains sont publiques ou privés, au choix. Enfin, les lieux de vie partagés sont propres, parfois bruyants selon les familles cependant.

景色很棒，尤其是河岸旁望向旅館的夜景，真是明信片等級的。室內的音樂也很棒。

房間裡的漱口杯居然是紙杯實在不搭啊！很不環保，還不如不要提供吧？！

1.K’s 就在（東海館）的旁邊 2. 有溫泉可泡湯 3. (松川遊步道)就在K’ s附近

Toilettes en dehors des chambres mais nous étions informés en choisissant la chambre et les onsen contrebalancent largement cela !

Die Onsen sind super und die Lage auch, nahe an der Bahnstation sowie am Meer. Japanische Restaurants in der Nähe als auch ein Inder direkt nebenan. Sehr schöne Gemeinschaftsräume!

The common area on the first floor is cool and comfy. The building looks historical and has its own kind of vibe. The staff we met were easy to communicate with in English.

We visited this place in the summer. You can feel the heat from each floor, room, and the craziest, those shared restrooms on the third floor. We both literally sweated like rain, literally had wet cloths out of the toilet. The AC in our room was also underpowered, and somehow the cool air only comes out from the left and right of the AC. I have absolutely no idea how the middle, like 70%, doesn’t have any air coming out of the machine. Thankfully, it was already on when we checked in, but again, it never cooled the room down to a comfortable temperature. The other issue is about smell. The shoe storage near the entrance contains some pretty strong odor, and it spreads out to some other part of the lobby. You can smell it just by walking to the public bath or to the laundry area. The following might be due to it possibly being a public onsen, but it is still confusing. There is a sign indicating tickets and fares. It seems like you can't get additional towels even if you've returned your towel. One of us was forced not to take the bath due to the lack of towels. Additionally, right after returning the key, when I was getting my shoes back on, one nail (maybe less than 1 mm off the floor) broke one of my socks.

大正時代の由緒ある宿の造り 寛ぎ易い雰囲気造りとスタッフ対応 客人共仲良くなれるような環境と雰囲気造り スタッフの丁寧な対応 SNSにアップしたらすぐに何処なのか問い合わせがありました。 近場に美味しい料理屋あり美味しい鮮魚を食べれた。 お風呂も雰囲気があり広く寛げて良かった。 海外の方々も凄くリラックスしていました。

駐車場説明が分かりにくく迷子になってしまった。 まさか右折するとは？ すぐ目の前にあったのに分かりませんでした。

Close to beach and train station. Onsens were nice. Staff were very friendly. Decor was beautiful.

Squeaky wooden floors and doors. Slippers were not comfortable. Only one gender neutral bathroom with two stalls and two urinals per floor and it was not spacious. It was very warm in the main areas and the room was a little warmer than we would have preferred. There was one plank in the floor on the balcony that was not perfectly secure.

The room was a good size and the balcony looking over the river was fabulous. Such good value for money for a family of four. The kitchen and dinning area with river views were also very nice. The private onsen was a treat and very clean.

people were super friendly and accommodating, place was exceptionally clean, incredible value for money, located just 7 minutes walk away from Itō station so it was very convenient. 2 staff also walked me and my friend to the station on our last day staying there.

We feel very fortunate that our family had the opportunity to stay at this beautiful historic ryokan. The building has so much character and charm. Although the facilities are traditional, they are very well maintained, which makes the whole experience feel authentic and special. One of the highlights was waking up to the sound of the river. The views from the room overlooking the water are absolutely beautiful, both during the day and at night when the lights are reflected on the river. The staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming, and enjoying the hot springs was a wonderful experience. The ryokan offers a larger public onsen separated by gender, as well as a smaller private onsen that can be reserved to enjoy with family or companions, which we really appreciated. Overall, we highly recommend staying here. It is a truly beautiful place that offers a peaceful and memorable traditional Japanese experience.

Onsen was small but convenient. Beautiful building that really let you see how old ryokan were setup. As a result the rooms were quite old with modern items kind of shoved in. It works. The common areas are super nice, but also awkward if you aren't used to that type of thing. Close to the restaurant/bar area for easy walking to lots of neat places to eat.

Flooring is very squeaky with some looser boards that probably could be reinforced from under to quiet things. Being an old property and a hostel, it was a bit noisy in the evenings. Being an older building, the room had some mustiness to it. The shoe room especially, smelled very.... shoey.

Incredible magical stay in this historic building,wonderful communal spaces to enjoy as well as generous private spaces. The onsen were clean and staff so helpful. You must try the Suntory bar down the road too, a hidden gem!

Heerlijke onsen, zowel gezamenlijk als prive. Kamers zijn groot. Wij waren met twee kleine kinderen, sliepen met zijn allen op de futons in de tatami kamer. Echt een geweldige ervaring. Leuke eettentjes om de hoek! Locatie is geweldig, met de trein hebben wij het prachtige Izu schiereiland ontdekt! Echt een aanrader voor een unieke Japanse ervaring, tegen een meer dan schappelijke prijs!

Très moderne, les bains chauds étaient vraiment chouettes et il y en a deux privés également. La vue sur la rivière très jolie !

Les murs ne sont pas très épais donc on peut entendre les autres (bébé qui pleure, couple qui parle fort) tôt le matin.

The building is historic and beautifully maintained. The riverwalk is peaceful and lively and it’s nice to sit in the hotel common space and relax to the rivier view. I hope I get another chance to visit. I would stay again in a heartbeat. I would really like to visit the other K’s House hostels in other parts of Japan as well.

Nydelig gammelt hostell som føltes autentisk. Fantastisk og hjelpsomt personale. Herlig med private first come first serve onsen! Pen og god beliggenhet langs elva og mange gode spisesteder i nærheten.

Staying in a historic building was a unique experience and something we really enjoyed. It had a lot of character and felt different from staying in a typical hotel.

When we noticed earplugs provided in the room, we started to suspect noise might be something to expect—and unfortunately that ended up being the case. Conversations from other guests in different languages carried through the building late into the night. We understand that comes with staying in an older historic property, but it did make it harder to relax and get a good night’s sleep.

有溫泉可以泡，常常一個人包場覺得很棒。 一樓有公共休息空間可以耍廢，還有公共廚房可以自己煮東西。房間是榻榻米，我的房間是跟4個人share。整體體驗還不錯 可以用伊東公車pass坐公車到民宿，民宿走出去有一個公車站我覺得蠻方便的

因為有點歷史，有些地板木頭有點不穩固 但不影響對民宿的喜好。最後Check in時間是晚上8:30要注意一下時間

Amazing historical building with Onsen - totally recommended!

The service was extremely friendly and professional. The building itself is a sightseeing opportunity in and of itself: a beautiful, characterful old house with all kinds of details and nooks and crannies. Cozy lounge area with great views of the little river, plus lots of tourist information. AC in the room worked great. Excellent location.

The house IS old, which can eithet be a pro or a con for different people. Boards creak under steps, sometimes very loudly, the house can be weird to navigate. The lights and electric fixtures are quite old. It also got a bit muggy in the house (luckily there was AC in the room). Personally thought all that added to the charm, but your mileage may vary.

部屋からのビューが最高で、スタッフも感じが良かったです。建物も文化財の宿という事もあり、歴史を感じますしとても素敵でした。

宿に対しては、パートナーの足のサイズが33cmなので、大きいヨーロピアンの人用のスリッパがあると嬉しいです。宿のせいじゃないですが、上の階に子連れが宿泊していたので、夜遅くまでドタドタと飛び跳ねている音がうるさかったので、これは運次第ですね。

המקום פשוט יפיפה, מובלעת של יופי ושלווה בתוך אזור קצת מוזר, כמעט עיירת רפאים, לפחות בסופשבוע שאנחנו היינו. האונסן קטן אבל נקי ונחמד לסגור איתו את היום והצוות אדיב. הכל באמת נהדר, הניקיון, העיצוב, קפה מוכן על הבוקר. גן עדן

עם זאת... קצת הופתענו מאווירת ה"ספרייה" במקום. חשבנו שנפגוש מטיילים נוספים ( אנחנו משפחה עם ילדים), שתיפתח שיחה. במקום זאת, כולם שם ישבו בשקט באזור המרכזי וכתבו ביומנים שלהם או קראו ספר. פחד אלוהים להיות עם הילדים שחלילה לא יפרו את השלווה. בשביל מה להקים אזור משותף אם הוא בנוי כך שהוא מעודד יחידנות כזאת? שהוא כל כך לא מעודד מפגש, שיחה? תעלומה.

Compte tenu de l'age du batiment, l'insonorisation était faible, plancher qui craquent. C'était très calme, j'étais mal à l'aise de me circuler tôt le matin, je craignais incommoder les autres voyageurs.

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour en famille. Le cadre est juste incroyable et l’ambiance auberge de jeunesse est vraiment sympa. Les parties communes sont très chaleureuses.

Todo o alojamento é extremamente acolhedor. Ao ficar neste alojamento parece que estamos a entrar numa obra de época. O quarto era espetacular e tinha vista para o rio. As camas eram confortáveis. O hotel tem vários Onsen disponíveis. 1 público para cada sexo e 2 privados. Os anfitriões eram muito simpáticos e o nível de inglês era bom. A passagem de um tufão durante a nossa viagem obrigou-nos a passar um dia no hotel e não consigo pensar num sítio mais agradável para estar. De notar que apesar do hotel não ter estacionamento, há um extremamente perto (1-2 minutos a pé) por um preço razoável. Pedir instruções na receção à chegada.

An amazing hostel that goes out of its way to make guests comfortable and is supportive in every way. The indoor onsen including a free private onsen, our beautiful traditional bedroom (for two, but the dorms looked great too), the kitchen, loads of free stuff, very cosy sitting area, beautiful location....wow!!!

Nothing it was perfect

The ryokan is simply beautiful and it emanates this peaceful japanese vibe that we travelled to Japan for. It’s old and traditional but at the same time it offers all that one needs. It was my first visit to an onsen and I enjoyed it thoroughly. The staff is very nice and helpful.

My stay was too short

L'établissement a pour lui son histoire et son caractère : séjourner dans un bâtiment ancien est en soi une expérience intéressante. La vue sur la rivière est vraiment très jolie et l'onsen privé bien que petit (une personne à la fois) est un vrai moment de détente ! En revanche, quelques points nous ont déçus. Si l'on opte pour une chambre privée avec salle de bain et WC inclus, l'ambiance générale de l'établissement reste très « backpackers », ce qui crée un certain décalage avec ce qu'on peut attendre. Surtout, l'insonorisation est largement insuffisante et certains guests ne respectent pas le repos des autres : nous avons passé plusieurs soirées bruyantes et peu reposantes. Un lieu avec du potentiel, mais à réserver plutôt aux voyageurs qui ne sont pas sensibles au bruit !

Mauvaise insonorisation / non respect du silence le soir par les autres guests ...

Prachtig gebouw met heel vriendelijk personeel. Fijne privé onsen waar je gebruik van kan maken. Gezamenlijke ruimtes zijn ook prettig. Omdat we meerdere nachten verbleven kregen we ook een voucher om een keer gratis te wassen, erg prettig.

期待以上の素晴らしい建造物での滞在でした。このような建造物に宿泊できるように整えてくださっているスタッフの皆さまのお気遣いも素晴らしいです。各国のゲストが宿泊するので様々な注意事項が必要になると思いますが、景観を邪魔しないように最低限にしてあり、かつ必要なことはわかりやすく記載があり感心しました。ゲストの皆さんもとても静かに滞在されていらっしゃいました。温泉も落ち着いた雰囲気で露天風呂もなくサウナもないですが、なぜかとても落ち着く温泉でした! いつかまた来たいと思います!

It was incredibly beautiful and exceeded our expectations. It was so spotless you could not even find a speck of dust, the kitchen was so well equipped and spacious. The bedroom had a great view, the onsen was amazing.
