Lovely staff lady who was sweeping up Friday night was so very kind… I was seeking medical help and she was so sweet and supportive!

4 pm check in time seems excessive…

Room was beautiful, loved the bar, great breakfast and exceptional staff and service.

Definitely not what I expected from a 4 star hotel - the room was ok, but curtains were dirty, bathroom had mould etc. We paid AUD460 for the night - same room next night was 220 and I think that is more reflective of what the room should cost.

I recently stayed here over the weekend and had a fantastic experience. From the moment I arrived, the standard of cleanliness throughout the property was exceptional. My room was spotless and very well-maintained.What really made the stay memorable, however, was the staff. Every team member I encountered was incredibly attentive, polite, and eager to help with any request. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and stress-free getaway. I will definitely be returning!

Great location - close to downtown and all the pubs. Wonderful breakfast service, yummy food and the staff were also lovely. Overall, everyone who worked at the Fairview were just excellent. I highly recommend staying there. Also easy to get there from the train station.

I liked everything about this hotel, the location was perfect, in the centre of town. Jimmy, the manager, was so helpful and accomaditing . I will definitely be returning to the fairview Hotel again

La habitación familiar era muy amplia. La situacion del hotel muy buena al lado de los pubs y restaurantes.

El hotel es muy bonito. Ubicación ideal, cerca del centro de la ciudad y también de la estación de tren y autobuses. El desayuno es de los mejores que he probado. El recepcionista fue encantador y muy amables resolviendo los problemas que encontramos.

La primera noche nos dieron una habitación donde a partir de las 5 de la mañana se oía el ruido de un motor. Resaltar que en cuanto se lo dijimos se ofrecieron muy amablemente a cambiarnos de habitación y en ese caso pudimos descansar sin ningún problema. No obstante deberían tomar medidas y atenuar el ruido .

Die Lage des Hotels ist klasse, sehr zentral gelegen. In unmittelbarer Nähe gibt es einen kostengünstigen Parkplatz. Der Empfang war sehr herzlich und auch das Personal beim Frühstück war sehr freundlich. Das Ambiente hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Zimmer war auch in Ordnung. Das Frühstück war gut (kleines Buffet mit zusätzlicher Möglichkeit, aus einer Karte eine warme Hauptspeise zu wählen).

Eine Aussicht aus unserem Zimmer war praktisch nicht vorhanden (Blick gegen eine Wand). Zudem waren wir scheinbar direkt unter der Küche, hier wurde es am Morgen recht früh laut (u.a. monotones Surren, laute Gespräche).

El hombre que nos atendió al inicio en recepción poco cooperativo, aunque luego mejoró. Por otra parte la persona que nos atendió en el restaurante muy atenta.

Struttura che ha deluso le mie aspettative. Non all altezza degli standard 4 stelle. Letto non particolarmente comodo, stanza calda dotata solo di un basico e rumoroso ventilatore. Finestra bloccata, non isolamento acustico Nulla di piu che un paio di bustine di te nell area bar, niente pantofole.

L’hotel è molto carino e in posizione perfetta: vicino alla stazione di autobus e treni e al centro del piccolo paese di Killarney

Die Lage des Hotels ist ziemlich perfekt: Direkt im Zentrum, aber doch nicht mitten im Getümmel,sodass es abends nicht zu laut wird. Am besten war die Betreuung durch die beiden Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption: Alle unsere Wünsche und Fragen (Taxibestellungen, Empfehlungen zu Wanderungen und Tourenrouten, kurzfristige Restaurantreservierungen) wurden sehr freundlich und kompetent erfüllt und beantwortet. Wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt.

The location was so convenient right in downtown Killarney! A beautiful hotel with a delicious breakfast!

The door was tricky and some things in the room didn’t work.

The staff was friendly, helpful, and personable. The breakfasts were amazing. The location was just what we needed to be able to walk everywhere!

Ontbijtbuffet mocht iets meer uitgebreid zijn. Bijvoorbeeld wat kleine broodjes, kaas en ham in sneetjes zou al een groot verschil geven.

Stayed here for one night. The hotel feels like it may be family-run, although I could be mistaken. While the room was clean and functional, it is noticeably dated. Finding a VCR and CD player in the room was quite surprising—they take up space and make the room feel neglected rather than nostalgic. The biggest disappointment was that the photos online don’t accurately reflect the current condition of the rooms, which sets expectations higher than the reality. Overall, it’s a functional place to spend the night, but not somewhere you’d choose for the experience. I’d only recommend booking it if you can get it at a very competitive price.

This is my 3rd time staying at this wonderful hotel. The breakfast was amazing, the attention to detail in the decor and cleanliness is top notch. The staff (especially Jim and Ann), are so warm and welcoming. It’s definitely becoming my home away from home.

We were surprised to read all the good reviews as this did not match our experience, honestly it felt like a day time robbery. We were looking forward to this but when we arrived we saw that the hotel is much smaller and less spacious than in the pictures. The high price we paid did not match the offer in any way. We have been to many 4 star hotels in Ireland, which were much cheaper and better (half the price and with spa, restaurant open for dinner etc etc). The American lady at breakfast was impolite, the breakfast concept was matching the standard of a hostel with coffee pump and one item to select from the list amongst other things. It was also surprising that there was no lunch or dinner served at the restaurant. The room allocated for us would have been too small to fit us all and too hot in the summer so then we got an apartment which was fine, very old but definitely not worth the price we paid. We could not open the windows as there was an oil pump outside in front of the window so the place smelled like oil afterwards. If this would have been cheaper it would have been acceptable but for this price we do not recommend unfortunately.

Booked a room at the last minute. I called to check availability and was answered by the very friendly owner. On arrival a short time later my husband & I were greeted warmly by he and his equally attentive wife. We had an air conditioned room in a lovely, traditional style hotel with wooden floors in the bedrooms, thick carpet on stairs and lovely lamps and furniture throughout. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and served on beautiful China, no non descript, plain white crockery at Fairview. Next morning check out was dealt with by a family member from the next generation, who was just as pleasant as his parents. My message to him was to stick to what they are doing so wee - quality service in a lovely, traditional right in the middle of Killarney with 3 euros paid for overnight parking. 10/10 all round

Hotel was very central and staff were so lovely and helpful. We travelled with someone who was using a wheelchair and everything was very accessible. The staff were so lovely anf helpful and accommodated us for an early checkin. The breakfast was lovely in the hotel also. Would definitely come back and stay again.

Perfect location and very pretty!

Adequate but it could be better with a few simple improvements, like adding towel racks to the bathroom so towels can be hung to dry, newer towels, always have an extra roll of TP in the bathroom, have a proper dresser in the room that can be used to store clothing, the ironing board and fan took up much of the space in the small space provided. Literally living out of the suitcases was not much fun, also no space provided to store the luggage. The room was big enough but not well thought out. Finally, the WiFi is slower than the old dial up. It was clean and tidy and it could have been so much better.

Location was ideal for easy access for all you could want to do in Killarney. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast made to order each day was wonderful. Clean and safe facility.

Decor and furniture was dated and pretty beat. Could really use an update. Not enough dresser / wardrobe space for a long stay. We were in town for a wedding and this was not a room ideal for formal affair. No steam for iron, no hooks to hang long items. It was hot during our stay and the air conditioning was on a 2 hour timer so woke up sweating in the night to reset.

Its in the centre of killarney and the staff and hotel was pleasent. The rooms were clean and had a fan aswell. Its not too expensive which is amazing for the value. It wasnt too loud in the hotel. The food was amazing and i would 100% recommend. The only issue is that the checking in time is at 4pm which is a bit late.

Another fantastic stay in The Fairview. Our favourite place to stay in Killarney - A Home away from home experience. James and Anne are the epitome of Irish hospitality at its best. Breakfast is to die for. Compliments to the chef and in kitchen and dining room. Can’t wait to return.

A planned week of hiking morphed into a 5-day stay at the Fairview hotel when SO fell ill with flu and required medical attention. Staff at the Fairview, James O'Neill in particular, were incredibly empathetic and supportive, suggesting medical aid, summoning taxis, and upgrading to a larger, quieter room. Hotel personnel continued to inquire about SO's health throughout the stay. Health issues aside, the hotel is centrally located, close to transportation and the National Park. The breakfast was a daily treat, with a variety of options (try the Eggs Benedict!). We would happily return to this hotel.

Bed third person was for a child/ too short for an adult. Noise, the conversation in the bathroom of the neighbours could be followed word for word. You could hear them pee. 30 euro extra for the dog.

Our family of 4 had a truly amazing experience at this wonderful hotel. The owners are so very friendly and make this hotel such a warm and welcoming place to stay. We enjoyed hanging out on the patio each night and having drinks watching people walk by. The location is perfect for walking around Killarney and enjoying the many restaurants and shops in the downtown area. The hotel is so attractively decorated and the rooms were comfortable and well appointed. We were grateful for the AC in our room because it was warm when we visited. The breakfasts each day were delicious and offered a variety of choices. We hated to leave this great hotel and will look forward to staying again next time we are in Ireland.

We reserved a room with 2 beds and were given a twin room not a queen / twin and it was an extremely small room. Should have asked early for a different room bit were exhausted.

The property is immaculately clean and nicely furnished. We particularly enjoyed the bar off the lobby that remained opened to accommodate us while we were there. Jim has a keen sense of service that’s reflected in his staff. We had a great time and would highly recommend this centrally located gem in the heart of Killarney.
