Brilliant service at front desk although I had emailed in advance I wanted a twin not a double room.
Room was very small though the linen was nice!
Its a big slightly tierd place, price abit high, Needs abit of TLC, grab rail in bathroom would be good, but a Constant Heat Pump somewhere on and off all nite, spoilt my sleep, overall staff and were good, i mite stay again if i have to 😏😊
Constant heat pump noise all nite, spoilt my sleep and no grab rail over bath and price abit too high.
The bed was very comfortable. And clean. The room was big. With plenty of space.
The shower in the bath was not great. It looked old and tatty. And not much room to take shower.
Location is really good for access to shopping and good pubs for dining out or relaxing. Parking is good and access to the Car Park is easy if directions provided by Booking.com and property are heeded.
Nothing in particular as the rooms were clean and comfortable but little things like incorrect size plug for bathroom handles basin distract from the overall experience
Location in town centre
Room condition was poor (room 104) tatty, dirt on walls by bed, bathroom very poor rusty dirty shower head etc. run down condition. no air con so very warm
Very rude and dirty service
Toilet is very bad condition .stuffs are rude
I liked that it was central. Had a Restaurant and Bar..
I didn't like that the corridors weren't hoovered.
Staff were lovely
to the point of the cleanliness, the shower was mouldy, the plug hole was black. Hair on the floor. I asked for a double bed we were given 2 singles pushed together- soo uncomfortable 😑 i wouldn't recommend anyone to stay
Location was great for restaurants and shopping. Walked to the soccer game. Breakfast was good.
This hotel needs alot of updating. The carpets were dirty and the walls were dirty. It just needs some TLC.
The location was excellent and the parking good
The breakfast was not very good and it was all large tables which I don’t like it felt like a canteen
The bathroom was unacceptable, there was Mold and chips in the bath , this room should not of been allocated Out. If I could get a refund. I will attach photos.
Location
Arrived approx 7pm. No-one on Reception. Pressed bell numerous times before delightful young Lady appeared . Transpired she was the ONLY member of staff .... she ran the bar : served food : cleared tables as well as covering Reception . Got our room , Huge disappointment .. booked a double bed got to single beds pushed together with a king-size fitted sheet and duvet on top. Destroyed any romantic ideas we had and a terrible night's sleep. Room was small , plaster peeling off walls by bed and in bathroom . Rationed coffee tea and sugar . No double glazing , heard loud music from pub nearby. In morning condensation ran down old cold window Breakfast toom very dated , old threadbare dirty carpet . Only one member of staff . Full English swimming in greasy fat. Went to check out and lodge complaint but could not find staff member . We left disgruntled , never to return . Next day spoke to Duty Manager on phone regarding above . He apologised , said he would look into it and call me back ... He never did .!!!
Exceptional staff who were very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast.
This hotel is tired and needs some tlc, and unfortunately Wrexham has some issues which need addressing. Having an "off licence" directly opposite feeding some of these issues is not helpful.
Cheap and cheerful room.... Bar and Staff were fantastic on arrival and in the evening in the bar. Room could do with a professional decorator/cleaner in as its clear from the walls as soon as you walk in are in a right mess and grubby. Not a good first impression but was only thee for the sleep and a shower.... Cup marks on the desk on arrival easily wiped off. Bed very comfy and bar /staff are great. Suppose get what you pay for...very good sleep.
cleanliness in room and state of the walls, grubby not a good first impression literally the first thing when opening the door couple inches (Rm.16)
Location and staff.
Absolute disgusting rooms. Booking.com should review this hotel and ask how they dare charge 185 for two nights in rooms that have not been updated in at least 50 years. I won't be booking with booking.com in a hurry.
Night staff was unhelpful and rude
Excellent location close to everything and staff are boss - rooms are clean and comfortable
Been Goint to the Wynstay in exess of 30 years. Was there the morning Princess Diana was Killed and woke up with the shock that Rocked the World. I Remember back it the 1960s the frontage you may see as a door was Actualy a tunnel / passage way for Horses as such. Yes a magnificent building. The only Origonal structure is the verry front and the side wall along Charls St. Everything else was built it early 70s
Dirty Kettle & Bath tub
The location was ideal and plenty of parking which was free.
The room was very small, dated, dirty and smelled terrible. The single pane windows was full of condensation and mould. The walls and bathroom door were stained. The seal around the bath was black and the shower leaked down the back. The floor under the sink had visible dirt. We got half a toilet roll, one bath towel and one hand towel for two people. Reception were great at giving us more in fairness. The fan in the bathroom is noisy and dirty. The room and bathroom had an unpleasant smell. Couldn’t wait to leave in the morning. Breakfast was included but wasn’t the best. The server was very pleasant. All in all it felt like we were in a prison but as we got there late and left early we just put up with it.
Cleanliness, location, nice people
The front entrance is almost impossible to find, and a little scary when you are looking for it at night.
It is convenient for the city and surrounding area
After many years of going there things still need changing. The windows need changing as they are still single glazed, which are the same as when I was young We were in room 6 and the door would not lock
Good location for visiting the town and a parking space. The bed was comfortable.
The entire accommodation needs upgrading. It is not very clean and so much is worn out. The breakfast was not as described in your details and lacking many items. The restaurant/bar area is very uninviting so did not eat there. Everything needed upgrading and a thorough cleaning.
Comfortable bed and good location. Staff were nice.
Expected a little better at this price point. Shower was poor and was given one towel for two people. Room was very warm and generally quite tired. Fine for one night but wouldn’t stay again.
The location was in the middle of town. but the town was small and had nothing interesting so the location was not something that makes it worth staying.
The shower pressure was super low. I couldn't have a decent shower and the room and toilet looked like in the 1970s.
Nice big room, comfortable bed. Brilliant location and parking. Staff very helpful and nice to speak in welsh at reception.
Nothing
Friendly staff. Good location. Reasonable breakfast On-site parking
Dated & shoddy repairs. Low staff numbers No Air Con
Not much
Noise constantly all night from outside and neighbouring rooms.
The staff were very pleasant, location was great, food plus breakfast was good
We had two rooms, a family room and twin. The twin was in room 2 & really struggled with any sleep as was an air conditioning fan/vent right outside window. Which went off and on continuously and was extremely loud. As it was so hot there was no option to have window open but even shut the noise was extremely overpowering. The view wasn’t pleasant either
Good location
Room key available before 14:00 if checked in online
Location. Breakfast good
Very dated. In need of revamp. Needs major overall. Room was intensely hot. Fan made no difference at all. Managed to lodge window open or we would have frazzled it was that hot 🔥
Location was ideal for where we needed to be in Wrexham, the receptionist very friendly and checking in and out was easy.Room was spacious enough for us too
It was a bit noisy at night but this was to be expected in heart of the city's nightlife...the noise came from the street and outside the Hotel's control really, it was not too much of an issue however there was an enormous extractor fan(probably from kitchen below) on the wall outside right next to our window which kicked into life about 6.30 am which was very loud and intrusive.Had we been staying more than just the one night I would have requested a change of room..The carpet had some very dubious looking stains on at the foot of the single bed.
O.k
Size of room
The staff was very friendly and the hotel itself was clean and comfortable. Would 100% recommend anyone to stay with them.
Great location. Staff at check-in were great.
Bedroom and bathroom very small and very dated. 1 night was enough.
Price but found many other hotels offering the same price which would have looked after us better.
3 hours 30 minute drive to Wrexham. Arrived with 15 minutes to book supper. By the time checked in and left luggage in room was told that we couldn't book a meal as the kitchen closed 4 minutes earlier!!!!! The waitress did not even check with the kitchen. Informed we could order a takeaway from the outlets in Wrexham. Are you not a hotel? Disgraceful. Room was noisy. Chiller going all night. No need for an alarm with the ruddy seagulls. Church bells kept you updated with the time. Sunday night revellers noise echoed in the multi storey car park opposite. Room was tired, plaster flaking.
Comfortable beds. Fan in the bedroom. Speedy arrival of food once ordered, good portion size, tasty and good value. Cleanliness. Quiet rooms, well soundproofed. Decor. Friendly staff.
Sausages a bit overcooked. Hotel has EV charging facilities but they did not fit my car. Hotel needs to specify which facilities it offers. Staff gave incorrect information about nearby EV charge points. I thought the overnight price a bit expensive.
Good value, and destination
Location was fabulous, great value for money
Could do with decorating.
The accommodation was in the center and close to restaurants and the like. It's approx 12 mins from the Train Station which suited.my needs given I booked in order to attend a gig in Buckley. The main pro was definitely the comfy bed, and no noise.
My advice would be to skip the food for other options, especially Breakfast where you should be walking 1 min to to^st (toast) cafe and deli
Die zentrale Lage, die Parkmöglichkeiten in der Nähe, das gemütliche Pub im Erdgeschoss.
Die Fenster müssten dringend mal geputzt werden. Es gab beim Frühstück nur Instantkaffee.
Location brilliant. Bar lovely. Room clean and functional
Our room was at the back of hotel over smoking area. Very noisy with people congregating there.. Bottle bank emptied around 7 and woke us. Then bin lorry. We asked to move to front but refused as they are family rooms. Old hotel with no double glazing.
I loved the modern feel to the rooms, the building had lots of character
I liked everything about the property
Good location
Rooms were very dated our bathroom light didn't work and no one to fix it rooms need an update and a good clean
Location is great , bar good and staff friendly and efficient .
Carpet could have done with cleaning but everything else was spick and span despite it all being a bit worn out .
Location
Needs updating
All good thanks
Great value for money, location and helpfulness of staff.
Nothing
Nothing
First room had huge fan attached to the wall outside and the room was vibrating second room no ventilation window hardly opened and was so stuffy also because th rooms needed updating and poor condition. Food low quantity. I had paid for two nights stayed only one
Location and food.

The location is fantastic especially for the price.staff are great to
I know that money is tight but the bathrooms could do with new showers
Value for money
It was hot that day. Not there fault
Great location and big room.
Reception staff was very welcoming. Sink in the toilet was not working properly. And the room could have been little more clean with some pleasant smell.
Very friendly staff, great location, comfortable room.
Bathroom could have been a bit cleaner.
The hotel is very central
Abit dated but was good enough for what I needed, breakfast service was terrible
Breakfast ok,but they couldnt be bothered to make us Latte in mornings, stayed Wynstay lots even booked for members family,Faye really pleasent nothing was to much trouble allways made us latte x all well stocked, but last couple times couple jams no bread he said didnt have bread? but then fetched couple slices out saying he found some?but was alittle hard, not stocked up well,Faye good teacher for all your young staff who just dont want to be there thats what mess we got,we wont be having breakfast again unless Faye on👏👏Thank you Faye.

Die Lage
Frühstück an großen Tischen, keine Klimaanlage und Fenster kann man nur minimal öffnen. Bad in die Jahre gekommen
The staff professionalism, quiet ambience and the general hospitality
Free car parking. Location in town centre. Friendly staff.
Room very warm as in a heatwave and no fan. Room small.
While the the room was compact it was clean and tidy and the beds were comfortable and the shower was working well. Breakfast was very good with a good choice of Continental or Welsh breakfast. The location in the centre of the town is good particularly with parking on site.
Given the weather air conditioning in the rooms would have been nice, that said I knew there was no A/C when I made the booking. Perhaps an electric fan in the rooms would have helped.
Room, staff, service
As per the hot season (summer), rooms are very warm, they dont have enough fans to provide, rooms dont have AC, 1 window can open only 5%. Nothing for air circulation. We stay for 1 night but in hot room, even outside weather is cool then the actual rooms. No ventilations
Absolutely nothing
Dirty Noisy Stinks of cannabis Full of social housing people Just don’t go
Central to amenities.
Location
Dirty room, mouldy bathroom
Location,in centre of town
Poor smelly in room and ensuite. Rusty bathroom fittings. Room very hot and had to wedge window to stay open. Very expensive for low quality room.
We only booked this property an hour before our arrival, and we were delighted to find such a comfortable, welcoming hotel so close to thebA483. Our room was enormous. The food was very good.
Poor breakfast with no milk. Strangely many of the HP source bottles were empty !
Great location, Great staff and very clean
The rooms were extremely hot due to the weather so thought the hotel could have supplied fans in the rooms as no aircon
Comforrable large en suite room.Pub and food reasonably priced and very good.The. breakfast was good value compared to other similar Hotels that I have stayed in.
Nothing. really !
Pleased with our stay thank you
Liked and enjoyed pur stay
Location and free parking. Comfortable bed and nice hand wash.
The property is shabby and needs urgent redecoration. The doors slam shut making a lot of noise. The shower was clogged with limescale. We had to ask for towels for the second guest as only one towel was provided and ask for tea as this was also missing from the room. Hairs on the bed and the room was not fully cleaned.
Great location with views down the pretty high street from the front
Room was in need of TLC and general standard was poor for the price

Location
Bathroom could do with updating Cleaners just changed towels and topped up coffee tea facilities. Didn’t make bed
Location. Staff helpful. Bed comfortable. Shower easy to use.
Hotel tired looking a few scuffs marks and what looks like a punch mark in wall. Breakfast options limited. No late residents bar. Bar prices on the high side.
Check in was fine as were the staff . Bed comfortable , wifi okay. Television working .
overall state of bathroom fittings . (we failed to get the plug out of the bath ) Providing a drawer or 2 would make life easier
Good location and parking, room a standard pub hotel

Always like the landmark view rooms comfy beds clean
Lift broke down the price is quite dear for 1 night we love staying here but the rooms really need a upgrade and the bathroom does as well for wot you pay
It was a good enjoyable stay most of the staff very helpful and friendly . The pub staff were great and friendly the food and beer good and reasonably priced
On the day of departure we were really looking forward to breakfast before our 3 hour drive home unfortunately it was very disappointing no orange juice, no cups for tea or coffee when we did get cups no hot water. As for the continental breakfast it was worthless. We left with out our pre paid breakfast . They really need to get there act together
Location . Beds very comfortable:)
My room was near a generator was noisy,
The location is right next to my job
My pillows smelt frowsey, not the case but the actual pillow but to be fair the good lady at reception replaced the pillows immediately
Good accessibility, very comfortable bed, room a good size, very friendly and helpful staff.
Cold tap in bath didn't work, room very warm in summer temperatures.
Staff were very good. Basic, simple hotel at a very cheap price. Just needed a room for the night so it did the job.
Location
It seems it needs an uplift
Location
Rooms not huge but adequate
Central with parking
No air con or fan was very hot and problem sleeping
Comfortable bed, Good attendance to needs at Reception. Good parking facilities.
At breakfast, waiter was in kitchen, leaving all tables unmade. Had to wait to be seated. Got the breakfast order wrong. He went back in kitchen so we couldn’t request deficit in order, and left all other tables with used pots, etc.
Central.
Good central location and parking facility
Location
Everything in poor repair. Dirty outside, little or no maintenance on the building is apparent and no aircon. room was as hot as a sauna, fortunately the very obliging staff turned up with a fan which saved the day. Breakfast mediocre with only sachet coffee and boxed cereals.
Excellent breakfast and as always Faye was brilliant taking our breakfast orders and waiting on - always smiling and welcoming.
First impression on main door handles were absolutely stinking
Didn't look the cleanest and room very dated and walls dirty with holes in headboard
Reception lady was friendly and welcoming
Room dated, shower poor quality and not enjoyable issue with mixer taps, mattress dated and too worn (very soft) pillows cheap and not enjoyable
Hotel stuff are friendly, Room clean, tidy but old. Room was really big. car park close to enterance
Can hear man Fan air flow all the time outside the window
No me gustó nada
Estaba sucio, el baño con hongos en la ducha. Un olor terrible, olía muy feo una mezcla de humedad, con pintura. La atención fue terrible No hubo quien ayudara con algo tan sencillo como pedir un taxi.
staff and breakfast was fine
The room was tired with lots of black around huge amounts of silicon sealer in the bath room. The whole site just felt really really tired and in need of love
Very central to Wrexham, rooms a bit dated but always exceptionally clean and friendly staff.
Slightly tired and dated rooms
Very good
Basic hotel with small rooms Had to have window open all night as no air conditioning Noisy outside
Comfortable room in a central location, 10 minutes' walk from Wrexham General rail station. The breakfast was very good, and good value too. There is off street on site parking, although I did not use it on this occasion Would probably stay there again.
No complaints.
