Hotel Miramar

We got back last night from a wonderful week in beautiful Port soller. This is the 2nd year we have stayed at this lovely hotel. I travelled with my cousin and we have already booked to stay here next year. The Miramar is a beautiful family hotel. The owners and staff are all so friendly and helpful. You can either have a continental breakfast of a cooked breakfast. You can get food all day long at the hotel and the food is amazing.

Everything was what we needed, there was nothing we did not like ❤️

Fabulous location and lovely staff

Although the room was very clean and also comfortable we found the walls were very thin and being a light sleeper this was the one thing that let it down for me. But otherwise we would deffo recommend!

Port de Soller is a lovely place to unwind for a few days. There is a nice mix of bars and restaurants, but all with a nice calm feel about them. The staff at the hotel were all lovely and helpful. We were three adults in the triple room and it worked well for our few days break. We took the old fashioned wooden train from Palma to Soller and then the tram from Soller to Port de Soller - a fun way to travel if you only have cabin baggage - I wouldn't attempt with full size luggage. Taxi to Palma airport circa 40 mins.

A few jelly fish in the sea one day - probably brought in by the strange storm Majorca had had the day before. It was just one day then all back to normal.

Wir hatten Ameisen im Bad und einmal auch im Zimmer. Als wir das Personal informierten, wurde gehandelt. Die Ameisen kamen aber wieder. Bett war viel zu weich.

My only suggestion would be to provide some information about taxi arrangements when guests request a taxi before arrival. This would be very helpful in making the arrival process smoother.

Allt! Läget är helt fantastiskt! Vi hade bokat det billigaste rummet men blev uppgraderade till ett rum med balkong och havsutsikt vilket vi absolut inte hade räknat med. Det ledde till att vår vistelse kändes riktig lyxig!

Staff were really helpful, particularly Marta on reception. She spoke perfect English and helped with every query we had with local knowledge. We went for the eclipse and the hotel provided a bag on the day with water, fans, olives and eclipse glasses. We had a 3 bed room which was very spacious and the hotel was opposite the beach. The hotel provided us with beach towels every day. We had a room at the front of the hotel by the road and we were not aware of any noise from outside

I always select 4 or 5 star but this hotel caught my eye as it said family run. It did not disappoint. The family is lovely, the staff friendly and the breakfast excellent. The location is so amazing and we hiked all around in the area.

La ubicación es excelente. Tiene una vista increíble si reservas las que dan al puerto. No se escucha nada del tranvía y la vista es hermosa. Pedimos late check out y fueron predispuestos para dárnoslo a un precio económico.

La habitación era muy pequeña y el baño también. Para entrar al baño la puerta era muy baja. El acceso al hotel con auto es complicado: tener en cuenta que no se puede llegar a la puerta con auto. El tema del parking es complicado: hay un parking público a 300 m aproximadamente, que puede ser difícil conseguir espacio. La tarifa fue muy elevada para la habitación que recibimos. Es un hotel muy sencillo.

Sehr Zentral gelegen der Blick vom Balkon ist Mega und alles ist schnell zu erreichen. Die Fassade bedarf aber einer Auffrischung 😉. Essen im Restaurant vielfältig und super Personal, würde ich wieder Einchecken. Zimmer ist sauber und das Bett war super. Ganz wichtig ist Elena zu erwähnen. Sehr nett und immer ein offenes Ohr.

Frühstück ist ausreichend und preislich Ok, aber ich hätte mir etwas mehr Auswahl gewünscht. Ein kleiner Sichtschutz zum Nachbarbalkon wäre auch Super. Aber hatte nette Nachbarn. Und ein Sonnenschirm oder ähnliches wären angebracht.

Das Hotel hat alles was man benötigt, doch der Preis entspricht dem eines gehobenen Hotels, was es nicht ist. Deutlich stechender Chlor Geruch des verwendeten Reinigungsmittels.

- Tolle Lage mit Blick auf Strand, Hafen und Straßenbahn mitten im Stadtzentrum in unmittelbarer Nähe von Restaurants - Den negativen Kommentaren über die Personen an der Rezeption kann ich mich nicht anschließen, denn wir wurden freundlich, wenn auch nicht überschwänglich von einer älteren Dame empfangen. Jedes Mal, wenn wir an der Rezeption vorbeiliefen, grüßte eine junge Dame freundlich. Im Restaurant bzw. in der Bar waren wir nicht. Man sitzt aber gemütlich und die Mixgetränke sahen gut aus.

- Leider hatten wir ein kleines Zimmer ohne Balkon (ich glaube 206 oder 208) zur Seite raus. Der Lärm der Lüftung der Klimaanlage (oder was da außen unterhalb des Fensters lärmte) war unerträglich, da es die ganze Nacht dröhnte und schwer zu ignorieren war. - Ansonsten war das Zimmer klein, funktional und sauber. Ausreichend, wenn man den ganzen Tag unterwegs ist und nur zum Duschen und Schlafen ins Zimmer geht. Wie in den meisten Hotels fehlen Haken im Bad.

The location is fantastic and it was so great that you can borrow towels and an umbrella for the beach. Very thoughtful.

There was this one lady, an older lady with Sandy blonde hair who worked at the restaurant who was so incredibly rude to me, my friend and other people. The waiter with glasses was so nice - a few times my friend and I bought water from him for €3. Then other times when we tried to buy water from the old lady - she tried to charge us €4.00 or €4.50 and then when we corrected her, she got aggressive. The thing is, she tried to do this multiple times to us so there’s no excuse. I suggest she’s spoken to because that’s not a great attitude for hospitality.

La ubicación lo es todo en este hospedaje, está en el mejor lugar de Port de Sóller, el Aperol que preparan en su bar al frente del hotel lo recomiendo! La señorita que suele estar en la recepción es muy amable, el resto ni buenos días contestan.

La ducha tenía el desagüe tapado, el baño era muy pequeño, no se puede abrir la ventana porque choca con la mampara de la ducha, la habitación justa pero cumple. La atención es regular, podrían esmerarse en al menos devolver el saludo a los huéspedes. Al hotel le hace falta una buena actualización

Emplacement central avec chambre comportant un balcon avec vue sur le port. Chambre rénovée récemment, très propre et fonctionnelle. Cafetière et bouilloire disponibles dans la chambre. Hôtel bien placé face au tramway. Isolation phonique sur rue plus que correcte.

Literie neuve mais inconfortable à mon goût. Un oreiller supplémentaire par lit serait le bienvenu. Climatisation défaillante la 3e nuit. Trés mauvaise isolation phonique à l'intérieur des chambres. Remontée d'odeur via le siphon de douche parfois, masqué par un désodorisant trop fort. Mis à part ces détail l'hôtel propose une bonne prestation pour un court séjour.

En el restaurante trabaja una señora grande, rubia de corte carre, muy mal educada. Nos atendió en el desayuno de muy mala gana. Siendo huéspedes nos negó el agua caliente para el mate. Ah, la tortilla de patatas del restaurante… UNA VERGUENZA. Era un omelette.

Everything was perfect. Better than most of the 4 star hotels. The view is a dream!

The hotel was in a perfect location. They kindly provided beach towels and parasols, which was very convenient. The bathroom was very clean, and all the staff were kind and helpful. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely love to stay here again.

L’emplacement 5 étoiles rien à redire. Chambre simple et efficace (même si on a été jalouse de ceux qui avait la vue sur la mer 🤣) Personnel très aimable et souriant au top, merci à eux (sauf une exception dont je reviendrai en détail dans les points négatifs) Possibilité d’avoir serviette de plage et parasol à disposition très pratique ! Petit dej buffet bien remplis

Le tarif exorbitant : vu le prix de la nuit on s’attendait tout de même à beaucoup mieux. La qualité de certains services laisse à désirer : Nous n’avions plus de savon / shampoing, nous avons dû en racheter nous même, la personne de l’accueil (la seule désagréable) nous a clairement envoyé baladé disant que c’était à nous d’en réclamer aux personnels de nettoyage (excusez nous nous ne sommes pas en vacances pour rester à l’hôtel et guetter la personne en charge du nettoyage pour ça 🙄) Une seule capsule de café / thé pour un séjour de 5 nuits ça me semble léger.

Pasje werkte niet om naar binnen te gaan, ook is er een dag niet schoongemaakt. Van de drie nachten verblijf is dat zeer matig

I booked one night for the day of the eclipse months ago and have always been worried they might not honour the booking if demand on the day was high. They did, for which I am very grateful. Also after reading reviews previously, I found the place much better than expected, the room was a good size and white and clean with balcony and amazing viiew, also aircon and good shower. Also advice from 2 reception staff very helpful, we didn't try climbing the hill cos likely to be busy, and watched from the midpoint of the bay as recommended. (Didn't see totality but experienced it with sky going dark.. great atmosphere with everyone clapping and cheering.) Nice breakfast also, plentiful and relaxed.

Refuse to say anything negative, so relieved to have reasonable hotel as hoped, will always remember successful trip.

Location in middle of Port Soller, clean, breakfast ok at 12 euros per day, staff is friendly and eager to please, coffee maker in room, good &mostly quiet air conditioner

Cannot recommend any 2-star hotel that yield-managed their way to 370 euros per night in high season; breakfast foods got cold, weak & slow internet, parking difficult, chargeable, not always available and a 5-10 min walk from hotel, shower is a small 80x80 stall that will be difficult for larger people to use or even fit into, various port noises throughout the night

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Miramar, and were made to feel right at home by the staff! It is a small hotel run by a family, and they were very helpful with recommendations and ready to make our stay great. We traveled for the solar eclipse, and they even provided every guest with a tote bag of needed items for the hike up to one of the local viewing points, which they were also able to recommend.

Milý personál, skvělá lokalita. Vybavenost pokoje slabší, málo odkládacích ploch. Jinak vybavení bylo čisté a neneslo známky opotřebení. Chválím netextilní čelo postele a mnoho ručníků. Měli jsme výhled do dvora/na hory. Doporučuji si připlatit za pokoj s balkonem a s výhledem na moře. Hotel doporučuji. Je hned u pláže, která není placená. Dobře v hotelu vaří a personál na recepci je velmi ochotný. Mohou vám zavolat i taxi, což je skvělé. My toho využili.

Personál v restauraci je slabší. Jednou se nám stalo, že nám neuklidili pokoj.

The location of the Miramar is great - on the beach front close to shops and restaurants & bars. The room was fairly basic but comfortable and air conditioned. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful, really nice & friendly people. My friend and I were only there for 6 nights but felt at home very quickly. Breakfast wasn’t included in our price, but a buffet breakfast was available to pay for every day. There was a hair dryer in the bathroom - the attached to the wall type - but you could borrow a ‘proper’ hairdryer. Also an iron and small board were available from reception, along with beach towels and umbrellas, which was a bonus!

Je zit in de port de soller, dus wakker worden met uitzicht op de baai is wel magisch. Maar goed, daar ben je ook wel weer snel gewend aan. Het is gewoon duur als je daar wil overnachten, maar ik bleef maar éen nacht, dus was prima. Personeel was vriendelijk, mocht mijn racefiets stallen in kamer, terwijl dat volgens mij niet de bedoeling was. Ontbijt is naar behoren. Bedden goed, schone kamer. Dus zeer goede overnachting.

Prijs, maar ja, alles daar is vrij prijzig. Wen er maar aan.

Enkla och mysiga rum med havsutsikt. Bra frukost och en mysig lounge/terass att hänga på. Den var extra uppskattad varma dagar eftersom de hade fläktar.

La struttura è accogliente, la camera è stata pulita quotidianamente. La posizione e la vista che offre sono davvero eccezionali.

La struttura non possiede un parcheggio privato ma abbiamo utilizzato un parcheggio pubblico a 5 minuti dalla struttura molto comodo.

Efficace, fonctionnel, bien situé, très propre

Un peu compliqué d’arriver en voiture avec des grosses valises, le parking gratuit dans 2 rues a proximité nous a été indiqué à l’accueil mais nous étions déjà en warning dans une zone interdite. La police n’est pas passée à ce moment là , tant mieux ! Accueil inégal : une jeune femme adorable et une femme plus agée désagréable.

A lovely family run hotel in the perfect Port de Soller location. Had a wonderful feel to it & loved teh reception area, restaurant out front & of course the Tram coming past every now and then. The rooms were clean & fresh and perfectly sized & with great views out the windows.

Great hotel in perfect location . Have stayed many times , clean rooms with comfortable beds . Breakfast - good choice + cereals, hot breakfast, fruits, cold selection . Staff very helpful too .

Hotel communication was poor from management. Thin walls and can hear everything. Two singles beds making a double. Beds naturally slid apart.

Fantastic beachfront location right in the heart of everything with amazing views over the harbour and old tram station. Friendly and helpful staff and for a two star facilities are pretty good.

Not much to dislike. I found the bed too hard so didn’t sleep too well. Not particularly miramars fault but like all the restaurants in Sollar i found the prices for drink and food a bit high for the standard and size of offerings.

The location is perfect, right on the port and everything is walking distance. No parking on site however the hotel owners told us the names of two streets with free parking and we were able to park there throughout our 5 day stay. The room size was good for two people, bathroom a little small with no cabinet spaces. Decent wardrobe and table spaces in the room, with a little tea/coffee station. Clean towels provided daily, and you can borrow beach towels, iron, beach umbrella whenever needed. For the price in the location it was a really good stay.

Overall our stay was lovely. We did have to request for little things like bath mat (but once we received it the first day we subsequently received a clean one daily with room service) and you have to pay a daily fee of €3 for use of the safe in the room (which we didn’t use in the end). Breakfast is a continental for €12- it wasn’t the best food but available 8-10am if you want. We found nice baguettes or Spanish omelettes with fresh OJ and coffee along the port.

The location was absolutley perfect, right on the waterfront and central to all the restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and shops. Staff were lovely and Breakfast was delicious and cheap too.

Very good location, clean and comfortable rooms.

The shower water pressure was not sufficient to have a good shower experience. There was inconsistencies in the service - for example on one occasion we were able to take a beach towel for free, whereas the next day we were asked to leave a deposit (cash only).

Reception staff we friendly and welcoming. Good to be able to borrow beach towels. Cleaning staff were friendly. Aircon coped with the heat. The town and the area around the hotel was great. Lots of restaurants to choose from

The waiting staff in the bar/ restaurant were most unfriendly. As well as being off hand one of them didn't tell us that the restaurant would stop serving in 30 minutes when we sat for a drink and looked at the menu. it was only when we tried to order just before the time did they say no you can't order and they did the same to at least one other couple. It would have been nice to have the floor swept as the sand came off shoes and feet. the towels were only changes after 4 days and we left on the 5th day. There was nowhere to sit in the room.

Amazing location, excellent view and staff were very helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

It had a small Spanish charm and character about the place. The service and food was very good in a friendly atmosphere. Close to local restaurants and shops and sandy beach with safe swimming all within 100 yards walk
