Location and family being close by.

Unhelpful staff, booked us on the wrong date for a booked excursion they organised, but they booked the wrong date so disrupted two days of our holiday, and were not helpful with a resolution. Apartment needs a make over, very out dated & poorly equipped for a self catering apartment. We may have bought back bed bugs with us!!!! Very disappointed

Great location, lots of restaurants, lovely pool, staff are brilliant at the pool bar/restaurant.

The property was clean, but very dated, needs a complete revamp, we were very disappointed when we arrived as we have been a couple of times before & stayed in lovely accommodation, so standards are not as good as have previously been

Nous avons passé un très sympathique séjour. L’emplacement est vraiment exceptionnel, avec un accès direct à la plage et à la magnifique promenade du littoral de Mijas (Senda Litoral Mijas). 🌊 Nous avons particulièrement apprécié les superbes vues sur la mer, les belles promenades le long de la côte et le cadre très agréable et reposant de la résidence. Un endroit idéal pour profiter de la plage, se détendre et découvrir la région. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour et y reviendrons avec plaisir. 😊

Notre séjour a été très plaisant dans l’ensemble. Quelques petits points pourraient toutefois être améliorés afin de rendre l’expérience encore plus confortable. Un passage de ménage en cours de séjour ainsi qu’un renouvellement plus régulier des serviettes auraient été appréciés, notamment pour un séjour de plusieurs jours. Par ailleurs, les places de parking sont assez limitées, ce qui peut rendre le stationnement un peu difficile, surtout en période de forte affluence. Ce sont des détails qui, s’ils étaient améliorés, rendraient l’expérience encore plus charmante pour les futurs clients.

We were bitten to shreds by bugs during our stay, ants were a real problem even on the 2nd floor. We came last year and didn’t have that issue at all.

Very clean comfortable accommodation, very suitable for families or groups. Good facilities with choice of two swimming pools and lots of good restaurants surrounding the resort. Located beside a sandy beach and there are two supermarkets close by. Staff friendly and helpful.

The only suggestion was that the larger pool could do with some maintenance particularly the tiling is cracking and needs regrouting work but not sufficiently deteriorated to prevent swimming enjoyment.

На рецепшене отдельное спасибо персоналу, все подскажут и расскажут куда и как можно проехать и где прогуляться. Отдельное спасибо за заказ такси в 3.00 ночи еще и по цене дешевле Uber !!

Good facilities and a great location within short driving distance to Marbella by taxi or hire car. Iovely spa and beech front resort. The resort is clean and has a comfortable feel. I enjoyed my sea view apartment with balcony which added to my relaxing holiday.

Wszystkie udogodnienia sprawiły, że pobyt był naprawdę świetny. Optymalne wyposażenie pokoi, niczego nie zabrakło. Położenie idealne, tuż nad samym morzem. Uprzejma obsługa. Na terenie resortu było wszystko co było potrzebne. Dwa przyjemne baseny zewnętrzne. Bezpłatny parking i mimo pełnego obłożenia pokoi mieliśmy zawsze miejsce do zaparkowania, obojętnie o której wracaliśmy do hotelu. Cudna roślinność, która sprawia że czujesz się jak w egzotycznym miejscu. Kierowaliśmy się wysokimi ocenami innych i nie zawiedliśmy się. Miejsce sprzyjające odpoczynkowi ;)

C'était notre 3ème séjour, on se sent chez nous. L'emplacement est parfait, l'accès direct à la mer et tout l'équipement disponible dont la salle de sport, le Spa, le restaurant, le parking rendent notre séjour très agréable. Je recommande vivement.

Cercanía a la playa, piscinas tanto para familias con niños como otra si quieres tranquilidad. En mi edificio había un solárium que estaba bien si quieres tomar el sol ,buenos jardines y al apartamento no le falta de nada para el día a día éramos cuatro Supermercado cerca

Pues teníamos hormigas por todas partes llame dos veces he intentaron solucionarlo sin éxito pagué 1600 por 5 noches y ni siquiera nos cambiaron las toallas para ello tuve que pagar aparte y para rematar nos desactivaron las llaves 40 minutos antes del horario de entregar al salir con todas las maletas dentro y al bajar una de ellas para ello tuve coche no podía entrar a por el resto tuve que ir a recepción a que me ayudaran para poder abrir la experiencia no la puedo calificar como mala porque el apartamento estaba muy bien el problema es que no es para esos precios los servicios que ofrecen …. Le daría un 5 siendo generosa .

Parking was a nightmare. People park anywhere and when you do the same you get no parking notes left on the car. Way too little parking in peak season. Also the on site mini supermarkets are day light robbery!

Me gusta todo de Dona Lola. Los apartamentos satisfacen mis necesidades. El hecho de que tenga piscina y playa muy cerca lo convierte en un lugar excelente para pasar las vacaciones.

Creo que el lugar podría ofrecer sombrillas y sillas de playa en alquiler.

Le seul point négatif est la présence importante de fourmis, notamment dans la cuisine, ce qui rend difficile le fait de laisser de la nourriture à l’extérieur du réfrigérateur. Et aussi problème de stationnementil y as pas assez de place,J’espère que ce problème pourra être réglé, car sinon l’établissement est très agréable. »

Résidence en bord de mer, emplacement idéal à 30 minutes de puerto banus et de Malaga, la superficie des appartements.

L'appartement que nous avions l'année dernière était top très bien équipé. Par contre celui de cette année est moins bien équipé vaisselle manquante très petit réfrigérateur adapté à un studio pas à un 2 chambres et climatiseur qui fuit à l'intérieur de l'appartement. Normalement lorsqu'on s'adresse à une enseigne on doit avoir le même niveau et qualité d'équipements dans tout les appartements. Ça laisse à réfléchir pour les vacances de l'année prochaine...

Die Anlage ist wunderschön und direkt am Strand. Sie ist nicht neu, aber sehr gepflegt. Wir hatten ein tolles Appartement mit fantastischem Meerblick. In der Umgebung gibt es tolle Restaurants und der Holzsteg direkt am Meer lädt zu kilometerlangen Laufrunden oder Spaziergängen ein. Für Selbstversorger sind sowohl Supermärkte, als auch Frühstückskaffees direkt auf dem Gelände. Der Strand ist nicht überlaufen. Im allgemeinen ist die Gegend eher ruhig und entspannt. Das Hotel hatte jeden Tag ein Angebot für die Kids und Abends gab es Liveacts im Restaurant am Pool. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Great resort with 3 swimming pools (one of which was a quiet one) and a restaurant with evening entertainment. Stone throw from the beach, plenty of restaurants around the area and great tapas and sangria. A must visit to the Irish bar, really enjoyed the stay and would reccommend.

The only issue that we had was the we rarely had cold water in the room, often it was blistering hot

Moustiques+++ Isolation phonique presque inexistante, on attendaient que les voisins d en haut dorment pour pouvoir dormir et comme ils se reveillent tot, on se reveillait a cause du bruit insupportable. Qq ustensiles de cuisine qui manquaient malgré ma reclamation, grille pain qui brulait plutot que griller

Замечательная територія, чиста красивая. Хороший бассейн, и самое главное что отель у моря, нужно только выйти с отеля и ты на пляже.

Жалко что нет стиральной машины в номере, а так все хорошо

La vicinanza alla spiaggia, la presenza della palestra e della spa, la presenza di molti ristoranti vicinissimi alla struttura, la cortesia del personale, la presenza di una lavanderia a gettoni, la cucina attrezzata anche con lavastoviglie e forno a microonde.

L'alloggio assegnato era a piano terra un po' buio e con le inferriate non apribili, il cambio asciugamani previsto solo una volta a settimana.

The apartment was dirty and furnishings very, very tired.

Apartment very disappointing. Old, dated, in need of repair. My sister booked exact same, 2 bed asked both for quiet location. She had renovated room overlooking pool beach, we had dated, dark room, balcony no privacy with lots of people in asking by & noisy. Poor selection of activities compared to other places we stayed. Wouldnt return. No understanding from staff or no effort to rectify our dissatisfaction with room!!!

- Spacious and very clean apartment - Air conditioning worked really well - Clean bathroom with both bathroom and pool towels provided - Kitchen had everything we needed for basic cooking - TV had both English and Spanish channels, which the kids loved - Nice surprise: there was a kids’ club every day, which we didn’t know about before arriving - Having a reception was a big plus — they helped with everything from room keys and taxis to suggesting and organising local trips. - They also arranged a car rental for us, which made everything so much easier and took a lot of pressure off. - Good indoor facilities included in the stay — gym, swimming pool, jacuzzi and saunas. - They also offer water aerobics and Reformer Pilates. Pilates is an additional cost; during our stay only private sessions were available, but the price was very reasonable.

Location – it’s great being right by the beach, and the nearest towns are easy to reach by public transport or taxi. This is very personal, but our family enjoys more active holidays, so we would personally choose somewhere with a little more life around us.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié notre séjour à Dona Lola. La résidence est très agréable et l’emplacement est vraiment appréciable. Malgré quelques petits points à revoir, nous avons passé un très bon séjour et avons beaucoup apprécié notre expérience à Dona Lola.

Quelques petits points pourraient cependant être améliorés : il manquait certains ustensiles de cuisine, notamment une râpe et un tamis. Concernant l’appartement, nous n’avons malheureusement pas trouvé sur Booking les logements avec accès direct à la mer pour pouvoir les réserver. Nous avons donc pris celui qui était disponible, avec deux lits séparés, alors que les photos de l’annonce présentaient une chambre parentale avec un grand lit ainsi qu’une terrasse. Il serait préférable que les photos correspondent exactement au logement réservé.

ANTS!!!!! Absolutely ruined my stay! I checked out early! There were ants all over the balcony, lounge, kitchen side bar, bathroom and got into my luggage and bed as kids slept! I was so disappointed in the balcony as things from the palm tree fell over everywhere so couldn’t even enjoy breakfast or anything on the balcony! Also expected more maintenance for ants and according to booking we were meant to have 2 bedrooms but only got twin beds, and superior doesn’t mean superior in any way as we got ground floor instead of top sea views. Was very disappointed in reception staff were virtually nonexistent and even on checkout no one bothered to ask why i was checking out early or how my stay was! Just said oh you booked until tomorrow due to checkout. Was very upset. I have videos of ants everywhere and would like to have some compensation, but won’t hold my breath. This place has huge potential to be amazing. Pools were over crowded everyone on top of each other!

Heel fijn appartement, met uitzicht op zwembad en zee. Veel faciliteiten die bij de prijs in zitten en alles op loopafstand. Bovendien zeer vriendelijke receptie. We zijn uiteindelijk twee nachten langer gebleven.

Bij het grote zwembad zijn er altijd weer mensen die hun handdoek neerleggen om stoelen te reserveren. Ondanks duidelijke borden dat dit verboden is, wordt er niets van gezegd.

Habia gente que ocupaba las tumbonas y sombrillas sin hacer uso de ellas hasta en mas de 1 hora y media, otros usaban la piscina para solo adultos con niños pequeños.

We have stayed at Macdonald Doña Lola Resort several times and always enjoy returning. The resort has an excellent location, good facilities and a relaxing family atmosphere, making it a great place to stay in La Cala de Mijas. Overall, we love Macdonald Doña Lola Resort and have visited a number of times. The location, facilities and atmosphere remain very good, but more attention should be given to replenishing basic items such as towels and toilet rolls. The limited parking was also frustrating and affected the convenience of our stay.

The towels and toilet rolls were not replenished during our five-night stay, which was disappointing. Parking was also much more limited than on previous visits, and we wasted a considerable amount of time driving around trying to find an available space.

Era segunda planta sin ascensor y el moviliario un poco antiguo

Viihtyisä ja turvavallinen alue, jolta löytyy useita ravintoloita, jolloin illallisellekaan ei tarvitse lähteä muualle. Sijainti aivan valvotun rannan läheisyydessä. Pitkä rantapromenadi tarjoaa hyvät lenkkeilymahdollisiidet. Iso allasalue, josssa riitti aurinkotuoleja kaikille. Altaat avoinna 9.30-20 ja allaspyyhkeet talon puolesta. Kahden makuuhuoneen huoneisto oli todella tilava, plussaa myös kahdesta kylpyhuoneesta. Sängyt olivat mukavat. Oma ilmastointilaite kaikissa huoneissa. Pysäköintipaikkoja oli riittävästi. Kuntosali oli hyvä ja monipuolinen.

Myöhäinen chech-in aika (klo17) ja aikainen check out aika (klo10). Keittiön varustelu voisi olla parempi, esim juomalaseja ei ollut lainkaan, vain kahvikuppeja ja mukeja löytyi. Huoneiston parvekkeelle ei paistanut aurinko missään vaiheessa päivää heinäkuun puolivälissä, joten pyykkien kuivatus oli hidasta. Merinäköala olisi ollut kiva lisä, mutta se, ettei sitä ollut tässä huoneistossa, oli toki tiedossa jo varatessa.

Location primarily

This was our third consecutive year. Overall it’s not as good as it was. The pool bar is definitely understaffed and the pool isn’t as clean as it used to be
