The Waterfront

Very good breakfast and evening meal in on-site restaurant. Location was exactly what we wanted. Room towards back was very quiet. The accommodation was very comfortable and spotless. We certainly would return there.

Camera grande e accogliente, pulita e con un letto king size molto comodo, all'ultimo piano. Bagno grande con vasca e doccia. Posizione superlativa di fronte al porticciolo. Colazione abbondante e preparata al momento. Personale molto disponibile e cordiale.

La colazione è preparata al momento, se si ha fretta di uscire dall'hotel non è ideale. Noi avevamo molto tempo e l'abbiamo goduta a pieno con la calma di una vacanza.

La situación del hotel era perfecta. Habitación 14 muy amplia y con vistas al puerto. Nueva y limpia El personal amable y cercano. Cenamos en el restaurante y me encantó la sopa Silk Cullen.Conviene reservar.

Perfect seaside location in brand new rooms. Great restaurant and walking access to several taverns and pubs after a big hike.

No hotel parking but roadside and free parking is a short distance away. Not a big deal.

Very nice place. There was enough space in the room, clean bathroom. Very good breakfast. Would defintely recommend.

If you come by car-be aware that parking is not easy.

I was delighted to find The Waterfront has five new rooms. It's a lovely hotel with amazing staff and delicious food.

Loved the location on the harbour. Room was very comfortable and well appointed. Restaurant was superb. Staff were exceptional - so helpful. Would recommend to anyone wanting a break.

More information about booking tables early. Maybe I missed that but if you want a specific time then needs to be done before arrival during busy periods.

The second room was a bit small and did not have an openable window (just a skylight). It was stuffy.

I just love staying at the Waterfront. This is our 3rd time. We come along for the festival. The rooms are spotless and very comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the breakfasts and food are very good also.

I couldnt fault anything

I loved the location. Right on the harbor front.. I had a single room and although my room didn't have a view, it was clean with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast menu was great, a big selection and the food was delicious. I was there for two nights and had dinner there one night. The fish and chips were very good. A huge portion, could have shared it. Lovely light batter. The staff were great, so pleasant and helpful. The Wee Chippy is worth a visit as well. BAll around delightful experience. I didn't have a car so used public transportation...Bus stop minutes away.

Il personale è stato molto gentile ed accogliente.

Very large and comfortable room with a terrific shower!! Bathroom was large too and also enjoyed a relaxing bath! Friendly staff!! We enjoyed both dinner & breakfast in the onsite restaurant!! We loved Anstruther - such a charming town!! Highly recommended!!

Camera molto spaziosa ed arredata elegantemente, bagno grandissimo sia con doccia che vasca separati, attenzione per i piccoli particolari. Colazione abbondante e preparata al momento, come è tipico in Scozia. Comodo il parcheggio del porticciolo proprio di fronte alla struttura, che è gratuito dalle 18:00 alle 8:00. Personale gentile e simpatico.

Peccato che la nostra camera non aveva la vista sul mare.

L’emplacement dans le village sur le port, la gentillesse du personnel, et le petit déjeuner.

Il manque un peu d’insonorisation entre les chambres.

The room was lovely and not too small which can happen with a single. The staff were super friendly and I had amazing food at every meal. I was going to try to 'famous' Anstruther chippy, but the food at the hotel was so good I preferred to eat there. I have re-booked for next year already!

Amazingly hospitable staff and incredibly beautiful rooms. We stayed with a baby and everything went smoothly. Extra point for delicious breakfast and a restaurant that I would recommend by itself!

מקום מאד נחמד. צמוד לנמל. תחושה נעימה מאד. אנחנו היינו בחדר החזיתי שבדיוק מעל המסעדה. חדר יפהפה עם מראות יפים של הנמל. הכפר מנומנם למדי יש לדעת.

הכל בסדר. כמו ברוב המקומות בסקוטלנד מדרגות גלולות בדרך לקומה השנייה למי שזה חשוב לו קחו זאת בחשבון.

The staff were warm + welcoming. Upon my arrival I was shown to my room + explained do’s/don’ts. I was also given a general guide on town and how to get further afield should I need to e.g St Andrews. They also provided a carry out breakfast for my early start when I left 🥰

Minor point: A chair at the desk would have been nice.

Everything. Lovely room tucked round the side of the main restaurant. The evening meal and breakfast in the restaurant was very nice and of course the veg Haggis was a bit special - recommend booking the restaurant.

Only staying for one night...... Parking is a bit of a challenge A minor point - I thought I was booking the room above the restaurant as shown in the site photographs but was actually in the annexe to the side of the restaurant - which was very nice.

Location, the room was of a good size and clean and well presented.

A little noisy due to other rooms and tables being positioned out the front of the hotel.

La situation, l'équipement et la propreté de la chambre, l'excellent petit-déjeuner. Le très bon dîner et le personnel avenant au restaurant "The Bank" où le Waterfront nous a réservé une table, sa salle étant pleine.

Quelques jours avant d'y séjourner, nous avons reçu un règlement de plusieurs pages au sujet de la fumée, de la convivialité dans l'hôtel, etc. On veut bien, mais à la base, nous sommes censés être éduqués même si nous savons bien que souvent des personnes sont irrespectueuses des lieux et des autres. Le personnel est efficace mais guère sympathique et expéditif, peut-être était-il trop stressé.

Some fittings were a bit neglected.

Parking is a nightmare especially during the evening. Also checking is chaotic when the restaurant is full. I recommend getting there before dinner rush.

nothing to do with the accommodation but the mobile signal was non existent:( they did have WIFI which was adequate. parking however was a pain, sometimes a 5/10 minute walk (with luggage)

The rooms were nice and brand new. Everything was in excellent condition. The furnishings were comfortable and very clean. The check in and check out process were rather informal and very friendly. It was a nice experience. The restaurant featured great food and very kind service.

This is a typically American complaint, but the rooms were such that getting fresh air/good vernitlation was difficult. Even a 23 C day resulted in a very warm and rather stuffy room. I'm sure it's only an issue in mid-summer but for us it detracted from the otherwise wonderful experience.

Upon arriving at the Waterfront mid day and hoping for an early check in, I was warmly greeted and pleased that my room was already available. Check in was very fast and I was shown up to my room. My harbor view room was large, beautifully decorated and well-equipped. Lovely view, and good windows so the noise from the busy harbor was minimal. Comfortable bed, good storage, great shower. The location above the restaurant was very convenient. Breakfast was delicious with generous portions. Traditional Scottish/British breakfast, with other items also available. Restaurant was fantastic for other meals as well - note that it is very popular so reservations are needed. Also greatly appreciated that they allowed me to store my bag in a closet at the restaurant for the remainder of the day after check out.

The only issue I had was discovering that I did not have a mini-fridge in my room. Not a huge concern, and to be fair, I didn't request one -- but it would have been helpful.

Amazing hotel. Rooms tastefully decorated with good quality fixtures and fittings. Bed very comfortable and big for a single bed. The food in the restaurant is great value, especially the breakfast. The staff are super friendly and helpful and I'd definitely return. A super base to explore the coast. Parked up the hill just a few minutes' walk for free.

Fabulous location - I was lucky enough to be in one of their brand new rooms Great room and the staff were wonderful. Also a really good breakfast.

Parking a bit tricky but the staff were helpful with advice on where and when to park.

No hotel parking so had to park a long way from hotel there is on street parking but it was so busy we couldn't find a space, noisy next door guests, and there was a leak below the sink in our room.

First class food both for breakfast and dinner. Location on the harbour with restaurant adjacent to the accommodation. Very comfortable large double bed with excellent bath and shower facilities. All the girls working in the restaurant were really friendly and helpful. What’s not to like?

Abbiamo dormito solo una notte e tutto è andato bene.

Habitación amplia, limpia y reformada. El personal fue muy amable y nos dejaron dejar el equipaje unas horas después de hacer el check out. El desayuno no es buffet pero tiene mucha variedad y es contundente. Nos encantó.

Para hacer el check-in hay que hacerlo entrando en el restaurante. Es un poco raro. Pero no afecta a la estancia.
