Centrally located, great communication from the host, clean and modern

For 2 big people the bed was tight, but then we did book the economy room.

Great location. Room was lovely & very comfortable.

No clear sign once in to direct you to where rooms are, and no lock on the door from inside - Staying on my own, as a female, would have liked the extra security feeling. Slightly noisy.

The location

Middle of the night the occupant of the room behind mine was very noisy and did snow all night. The wall between each room it’s really thin and we can hear everything..

We loved the location ,easy access and a lovely room to come back to .The bathroom had everything needed . Would stay again if in the area.

Fabulous location, spotlessly clean

The code for the room door was hit and miss. Twice it took over 6 attempts for the code to be accepted - even though I followed the instructions to the letter!

The parking is 1 mile away. The room was not clean and tidy. The surrounding is very noisy and that disturbs your sleep. The room had pungent smell and we could smell bad smell(including faeces, smoke etc) through the toilet vent.

Over all was ok

It was very dark, very less light and there was spots on the bedd and sheets. Also parking was way far and it was hard to get there and come back multiple times in rain. Too many stairs to take.

The door entry system is a bit jittery. Luckily there was a very friendly handyman on hand to help out and there was someone on the end of the phone to help

Perfect location in the town centre, right next to the bus station.

Great location and spacious room and owner/staff were very quick to respond when I had issues with the shower.

There is no fridge/freezer so no where to store food if needed. Wasn't really an issue for me but worth mentioning.

Comfortable and clean room. Location in central Ambleside on a busy road so there is noise from traffic and nearby bar but we knew this when we booked so can't complain. Everything as described on the website.

Excellent location! Such a great place for exploring the village. We had the family suite and slept three adults nicely. The room was spacious and clean, and the bathroom was newly remodeled. Quality of beds and room were expected for the price and suited our needs fine. As other reviews have said, visiting in the summer means you have to sleep with the window open, and the bar downstairs is VERY loud, so if you’re early to bed people or have small children I would suggest looking elsewhere during the hot months.

Great location, easy to check in and access. Free parking was appreciated. Good selection of tea/coffee/hot chocolate provided in the room.

Shower was broken on arrival but was fixed quickly. Room was not cleaned during our stay as advertised, and so loo roll/shower gel came close to running out.

Had a water outage, sounds like that was the whole of ambleside so nothing you can do about that, but shower did break on the last day. No fridge either for noon catering so made it awkward for keeping any food

Room was excellent, and good to have exclusive use of own bathroom when family with me.

The live music and singing from the bar next door which went on until after 12 both nights. 😔

Location was close to all facilities,

The room was exactly as described with great facilities provided (e.g. hairdryer, fan, kettle, television etc). It was also brilliant to have parking included with the stay - whilst the parking is about a ten minute walk away this was not an issue and if luggage might make the walk challenging there are parking spaces on the same road for unloading before parking. Any noise issues were not a problem during our stay. Would definitely stay again.

The bed was very comfy, the location was excellent and it really helped having parking nearby that was included in the cost! While the room was smaller than expected, it was comfortable and cosy

The water pressure from the shower was a little low. The main issue was noise; Sunday night/Monday morning at 1am, there was drilling going on outside the room, dragging and shouting. I spoke with the hotel about this, and felt I was palmed off, as they said it can be loud during "busy periods" - I don't consider 1am on a Monday morning to be considered a busy period. The hotel is not manned, so have to rely on messaging

Location was great

Our first night was horrendous, we arrived at 6 pm and our window was left open , below was the fan from next doors chippy , the smell was dreadful , we could shut window as it was too hot and the fan supplied was damaged and not working. The fan went on till after midnight and then we could hear the staff till past 3am. We asked to be moved but unfortunately no other rooms available, but we were provided a new fan and ear plugs. At least we could now close the window and at least put the fan on .

Good location. Plenty of tea, coffee and hot chic sachets. Bedding was comfy.

Our rooms were 2 floors apart! Intended to put kids in one room and my husband and I in the other but they would have been so far away it didn't feel safe so we shared rooms with the kids. Fan was broken (but was replaced in 30min by staff). One chair was broken so tilted and a bit uncomfortable. . Parking was a 10mkn walk away.

Bathroom was clean and tidy.

Our small room was stiflingly hot. A large tower fan was provided, but it was very loud. We opened the window only to discover a large security light mere inches away that shined directly into our room all night. Closing the thin curtains did little to mitigate this. There was also a very loud constant droning noise from the takeaway business next door. All in all we got hardly any sleep. Staff were courteous but essentially said there was nothing they could do and that their website says this isn't the place for you if you desire a peaceful, idyllic Lake Distrct holiday. It's definitely not for you if you want any sleep!

We like everything, accommodation was perfect, we stay four in a bedroom. Was spacious and the bathroom was very clean. We really enjoyed.

The electronic keypads were tricky to use, having to key the number in several times to get it to open but with success eventually.

If you’re driving and have luggage, try parking closer to the hotel in town first to offload as the parking provided is at the football club which is about a ten minute walk and has a 200m/600ft section of rocky track.

The location is perfect. Quick walk to Windermere and the waterfalls. Lily bar next door is really friendly.

The codes on the handles are not the easiest to use.

How central it was to the centre of Ambleside

The bedroom walls were very thin so could hear lots from other rooms

Clean, comfy, central location. Value for money. Access instructions straight forward.

NOISE. You hear everything from the road. Friday and Saturday night you hear EVERYTHING from the pub/bar downstairs. Loud music into early hours, then people outside partying. No sleep. Paper thin walls. Parking situation a real pain.

El Parquing está lejos del hotel. La habitación es muy pequeña.

Did the job. Clean, central and with free parking. Noise inside the apartment (as mentioned by others) wasn't an issue.

Estacionamento longe, num campo de futebol, e estava cheio na altura em que chegamos. Tivemos que estacionar perto na relva. Demoraram bastante a enviar a fatura com contribuinte da empresa.

Very clean. Easy keyless access to the building and room (owners provided excellent directions to the hotel and the free car parking is only a couple of minutes walk away). Very large room (we had a double and two singles in the room and it did not feel cramped at all). Separate private bathroom (for Room 1) was huge with a large, powerful shower. Hot chocolate was delicious. A great location right in the heart of the lively, bustling little town - easy walk to numerous shops, pubs, coffee houses and cafes!

We liked everything! Only minor quibble (which did not detract from our stay) is that a hand towel would be nice along with the bath towels. And a coffee machine instead of instant coffee would be great - but then there is great coffee to be had just steps from the hotel!

The staff were amazing and the annemeties were amazing and nice and clean and stocked when we went in.

The location I didn't realise is on a very busy road! Central but extremely busy. Parking is seven minutes away though unfortunately I'm disabled so there was no way I could carry all our luggage that far. i did find a park nearby but it was pure luck as they are gold dust. The room was comfy enough though felt very dark when you walked in and the windows dirty I know it's no frills but a local guide with places to eat and a table and chairs would be nice.

Room was comfortable and well located for all ameneties. Loved the online check in and door codes sent to whats app.made entry really smooth.

Room 7 shower was either scorching hot or freezing, as only 2 night stay not an issue.but needs looking at.

It was clean and tidy. Good location to town. It's priced fairly and honestly if it was warmer and the facilities worked it would be fine...

Absolutely freezing - even with the heating on takes ages to warm up and I still had to sleep with my jumper on. Duvet and heating just not warm enough for -1C. The shower would not warm up - two temperatures cold and freezing. Parking is hard to find and a distance away. Would rather they said advertised with no parking which would be understandable for the location.

Not ideal to stay, particularly on a weekend if you have young children, we were in a room that faced the front street, its right next door to a wine bar and a few other bars which had music going on until 1am, we didnt get very much sleep. Also the parking is situated quiet a long way from the actual hotel at a local football club which isnt lit very well at night, again not ideal with young children.

Lovely stay

Very clean and tidy, nicely decorated. Great location, if you don't have a vehicle with you! Lots of great places very close by to eat. Staff very friendly and accommodating.

With having a vehicle, the half mile walk from the carpark is a big inconvenience. Also, carpark floods BADLY! Have to find alternative places to park. Bed situated badly within room (3), banged legs everytime came out of bathroom. Door codes on bedroom doors very difficult to use. VERY noisy, all through the night. Also, flood lights to rear of property, so room never got dark even with blinds shut.
