It's in a great location, just a few mins from the Lions Rock, the pool was nice and had fantastic views. The room was nice and clean.

Dear Reception / Hotel Management, I am writing to report a valuable watch that has gone missing during my stay in Sri Lanka. The watch is worth approximately 250 KWD, and unfortunately, I have not been able to determine exactly where or when I lost it during my trip. I am therefore contacting you to ask for your assistance in checking whether it may have been found or handed over to your Lost & Found department. Could you please check with: Housekeeping and Lost & Found The reception desk Security Any relevant CCTV footage, if available I had added the label that we don't need cleaning in the room but somone went inside and clean the room. I need the watch back as there had not been any place I took it with me that day. I would also appreciate it if you could check whether any items matching the description of the watch have been found in my room or any of the areas I visited within the property. Watch description: Garmin Watch grey colour plastic strap My stay was from 28th of 30th August in room 231. As the watch has significant value to me, I would be very grateful if you could investigate this matter and let me know as soon as possible if anything is found. I had specifically added at the outdoor of the room we don't need cleaning, but the room.and the bed sheets had been arranged so definitely somone went in our room during the day. Please I need the security cameras to check the 2 days video and send me ASAP an answer. This is tremendously heartbreaking and unbelievable for my last day experience in Sri Lanka.

Facilities is not that good for value of money, Pool is out dated, Air con is screaming, monkey poops all over the front area of the rooms(221/222) Price is super high for what they're offering

If you’re looking to escape the noise and rush of city life, Sigiriya Village offers the perfect retreat; comfort seamlessly woven into nature. Waking up to the sight of the majestic Sigiriya Rock, visible from both the dining area and the pool, never gets old. Mornings and evenings were serenaded by the gentle chorus of crickets, trickling water fountains, rustling leaves, and the whisper of the wind truly soothing for the soul. Every element, from the serene atmosphere to the incredibly welcoming staff, radiated tranquility. One evening, the chef prepared some truly delicious dishes for us, which made the stay even more memorable. Though we spent three days here, we easily could have stayed longer. This hotel came highly recommended by a relative, Musharraf, who works at Fort Hotels, and I’m so grateful we trusted his suggestion. We’ve visited several Fort Hotels based on his advice, and each one has exceeded our expectations. This was no exception. A special highlight was the village tour, which offered a fascinating glimpse into Sri Lanka’s heritage and traditional way of life. It was an experience we won’t forget. Highly recommended for anyone seeking nature, comfort, and culture in one unforgettable stay.

Buffet could be better.

What a fantastic location! The main part of the hotel (pool and restaurant) looked over Lion Rock, and was set in beautiful gardens that were kept immaculate. It was also great to walk to the main part of Sigiriya village, and also to get to Lion Rock for a sunrise hike, to Pidurangala for a sunset hike, and to the nearby national parks. We visited Minneriya Park, and were treated to seeing hundreds of elephants at the waters edge. The staff were ever attentive and friendly, and was a great spot to investigate the area.

Not really to do with the hotel, but maybe they should limit the numbers accessing the national parks as it is sometimes a bit chaotic with jeeps racing around to try and get to the front of the queue to see the elephants closer. This disturbs the ecological balance of such a beautiful natural area, and I would be happy to pay more to have less people visiting at one time.

Perfect location, amazing hotel, sweet pool, and the food was excellent. The staff are very kind. Always pleasant. When we come back again to Sigiriya, we will definitely return here.

Colazione grande ma con poca scelta per europei. succhi di frutta tremendi e la banana e il mango inesistenti . Piscina bella ma non curata. lettini e materassi molto rovinati e sporchi. piscina riparata in più punti e acqua sempre sporca. il tetto della lange che si vede dalla piscina sta venendo giù. poca cura.

Everything! The location was perfect for walking to bars and restaurants but also felt so peaceful and private. The view from the pool was so special. The staff truly went above and beyond for us from booking safaris to organising transport and recommending timings for activities. The food and drinks were also the best in Sigiriya, we found we had everything we needed in the hotel with the evening entertainment a bonus.

Very overpriced. Pool is quite small for number of guests and very shallow. Limited number of loungers available. We couldn’t adjust AC and rooms were freezing. Staff fairly unresponsive on this.

Austattung des Zimmers in der Art einer Cabana in Mitten eines sehr naturreichen Ferienhausparks mit Affen, Varanen,... viel Schatten, angenehme Temperaturen auf dem Gelände, riesiges großzügig gestaltetes Zimmer, sauberes Zimmer, gutes Frühstück, freundliches Auftreten der Mitarbeiter, am Lion's Rock alles fußläufig erreichbar, die Badewanne, Hinweis: Es könnte sein, dass Tiere ins Haus kommen (z. B. Geckos, Ameisen), hat uns aber nicht gestört, gehört zu einem Urlaub in Sri Lanka dazu.

Nichts. Man sollte vielleicht nicht viel Wert auf gute Silikonnähte im Bad legen. Für uns passte aber alles perfekt.

Hôtel idéalement situé (proximité des activités et restaurants). Petits cottages répartis dans un beau jardin. Chambre spacieuse et confortable. Petit-déjeuner sous forme de buffet varié, très bon.

Absence de réfrigérateur dans la chambre. Piscine sous dimensionnée par rapport à la capacité de l’hôtel, équipements vieillissants (transat, parasols )et pas assez de transats

Buffet dinner was over priced. Swimming pool looks nice but no one sits around the pool which is surprising considering people get up early to climb the rock and explore the area. This is possibly because the pool is very close to the dining area and people don’t want to be watched

We stayed 1 night in Sigiriya Village Hotel and it was amazing. The breakfast having with the view of Sigiriya Rock was fantastic. Hotel personnel were helpful and very kind.

Very clean and nice to have the pool to cool off - the gardens are beautiful and the rooms are nice and quiet. The staff were very helpful. The location is great as you can walk to local shops for dinner if you want

Die Lage war super! Das Hotel war zwar abgelegen aber man war innerhalb zwei Minuten bei den Restaurants und am See. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge.

Wir hatten leider das ein oder andere Tier im Zimmer. Was aber bei einer Unterkunft in der Natur schon mal vorkommen kann. Wir haben nicht ganz so gut geschlafen, was aber auf jeden Fall Typsache ist. Die Klimaanlage ist genau aufs Bett gerichtet, was für uns nicht so gut war.

Exceptional staff very fy and very welcoming

Great buffet food and drinks. Gorgeous little pool. Amazing ayurveda center - one would go back if only for this center. Property had a wide range of animals and birds too - minding their own business - well taken care of by the staff. The area is huge, every corner is gorgeous, especially the koi pond at the end and the duck pond beside the pool. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, the furnishings do justice to the beautiful Sri Lankan heritage of wood and rattan furniture. The staff go out of their way to take care of guests - asking for feedback, listening to your needs and proactively offering suggestions to make your stay better.

Absolutely nothing. The place is truly exceptional.

Hotel was amazing! Super clean and good quality service. Food and cocktail options were incredible! Super short distance to everything you need including a 20 minute walk to lions rock and 15 minute walk to view points. Restaurants and the famous soul food was only a 2 minute walk from the rooms!!

Personale per niente attento al benessere degli animali sopratutto i cani. Abbiamo assistito a scene molto aggressive. A differenza di altri posti in Sri Lanka, ormai sviluppati, in questa struttura non c’è alcuna attenzione e non è piacevole da vedere.

The room was spacious, and the toiletries were fragrant. The food at the restaurant was reasonable, if not slightly small portions. The staff were very friendly. The view from the pool was pretty special.

I'm not sure wht the doors to the room slip like it was from a westeen.

the room wasnt so comfortable, beds were hard and the chairs inside the room / on the patio were also hard / no pillows provided. i appreciate their safety concerns with regards to elephants but the tuk tuk they call is overcharging for just 1 min ride to go to the main street at dawn.

Extremely helpful and courteous staf. Close to Sigiriya. Breakfast was good.

Es ist ein sehr schönes kleines Dorf, man muss allerdings etwas laufen zu dem Hotelbungalows. Es ist ein weitläufiges Gelände. Man sieht viele Tiere von Affen bis Gänse. Es ist sehr sauber und die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt:)

Es kam eine ReiseGruppe mit vielen Gästen. Das merkt man, wenn aufeinmal 30 Leute mehr anwesend sind. Essen gab es Abends für 5500,- für ein buffet. Für mich war es zu teuer, da ich niemals so viel essen würde. Mein Sohn durfte netterweise gratis mitessen. Deswegen war der Preis dann wieder voll ok;) Der Pool ist etwas klein. Für dieses grosse Gelände. Und wirkte ungepflegt. Der Junge Mann der dort gearbeitet hatte auch nicht so wirklich Lust auf seinen Job. Denke für Leute über 40jahren und ohne Kinder ist das Hotel super;))

The resort ambience, evening music , facilities

Breakfast, view, environment were great. Very green and close to nature - and all touristy attractions were nearby within 2 km. They also have a pool with a view of the Sigiriya rock

Bed bugs and slow service was a pain area. This needs to improve. We had black ants in the bed sheets. Also room service response time was too long and needed follow ups.

Waking up to the soothing sounds of birds and being surrounded by trees made our stay especially memorable. The rooms are thoughtfully spaced apart, providing a sense of privacy and tranquility. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and well-suited for our family of four. The breakfast buffet offered an excellent selection of both continental and traditional Sri Lankan dishes, catering to a variety of tastes. In-room dining service was prompt and efficient. Another major advantage is the hotel’s location—just a 5-minute drive from the entrance to the iconic Sigiriya Lion Rock, making it a convenient base for exploring the area. Overall, this is a wonderful property that combines comfort, nature, and convenience, making it an excellent choice for families and leisure travelers alike.

There are a couple of areas where the experience could be further enhanced. The entrance gate and driveway could benefit from better lighting, as the area was quite dark at night. Additionally, there was a brief power outage around the time of our checkout. Fortunately, since we were already preparing to leave, it did not cause any significant inconvenience. These were relatively minor issues and did not detract from an otherwise enjoyable stay.
