Loved everything about it here. The staff are just so kind and welcoming. The room was spacious and very clean. Location is great, lots of restaurants around including the one on site. And the cutest, friendliest little kitten! Thanks for a great stay :)

La gentillesse de notre hôte et de son équipe. Shen nous a donné de multiples conseils et a pris le temps de nous faire découvrir quelques merveilleux sites peu fréquentés par les touristes. Un moment rare ! Les petits déjeuners maison sont délicieux et le restaurant sert d'excellents plats Sri Lankais. Nous recommandons vivement.

Nuestra corta pero agradable estancia en Sigiri Shen Residence fue inmejorable. La ubicación y la habitación fueron excelentes, tanto las zonas comunes como la habitación en sí vienen a corde con las fotos. Pero sobre todo cabe destacar la hospitalidad y amabilidad del personal, el señor que nos atendió durante los días que nos alojamos fue super amable con nosotros. ¡Recomendaría 100% este sitio a cualquiera! pdt: el kottu de aquí está MUY rico!

Nos ha encantado el trato que hemos recibido durante nuestra estancia. Es un alojamiento familiar y se nota desde el primer momento: el trato es muy cercano, amable y cálido. Además, tuvieron la amabilidad de facilitarnos un early check-in el día de nuestra llegada. El desayuno es increíble: lo preparan ellos mismos y es súper completo, con fruta, café, huevos, tostadas… Incluso tuvieron el detalle de prepararnos un desayuno para llevar el día que salíamos muy temprano para hacer una excursión. Por último, recomiendo totalmente cenar en el restaurante. Todo estaba buenísimo y fue el broche perfecto a nuestra estancia. ¡Alojamiento 100% recomendado! Sin duda, repetiríamos.

Una delle strutture migliori in 15 giorni di on the road per lo Sri Lanka! Lo staff giovane e gentilissimo, camera ampia e specialmente pulitissima. Non mancava nulla! La colazione molto buona e anche la cena presso il loro ristorante ci è piaciuta tanto. Lo consigliamo caldamente!

Amazing place to stay in Sigiriya, in a great location! The staff are extremely friendly and will help you with anything, and the breakfast provided is amazing!! The room was super comfy, clean, had great air conditioning, wifi and had mosquito nets! Couldn’t recommend this hotel more!

Excellent ausgeststtetes grosses helles sauberes Zimmer und Bad. Perfektes Bett, beste Hotelbettwäsche und Bettdecke sowie Kissen - wie im 5 Sterne Hotel. Beste Elektrogeräte: sowohl Kühlschrank als auch Klimaanlage absolut leise und perfekt einstellbar. Wir haben optimal geschlafen, bestes Mal in Sri Lanka! Es gibt Spiegel im Bad und Zimmer sowie 3 kuschelige Handtücher und warme Dusche. Beim Frühstück wurde auf unsere Sonderwünsche wie Pankakes ohne Zucker Rücksicht genommen. Sie haben auch eine richtige Kaffeemaschine. Wir konnten von dort zu Fuß schnell Richtung Felsen gelangen, sie haben aber auch Fahrräder. Es ist sehr sehr angenehm und erholsam. Absolute Empfehlung!

We had a great 4 nights stay here. The family is so welcoming - Hansi is very kind and orangised all of our transport and activities with excellent guides. The place is a 5min walk into the centre of town so great location for getting to restaurants for dinner. The room was clean and comfortable with a nice balcony looking to the gardens. Would highly recommend!

Het personeel was ontzettend vriendelijk en gastvrij. De familie doet er echt alles aan om je verblijf zo prettig mogelijk te maken en denkt met je mee. Het ontbijt was elke ochtend zeer uitgebreid en erg lekker.

Die Familie ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, Die Sauberkeit war gut - und an der Lage hat uns gut gefallen, dass wenige Meter die Straße auf und ab - viele Restaurants waren.

Da fällt es schwer, etwas zu finden .. ein TV zum Ansehen der Fotos wäre nett gewesen - aber das ist Jammern auf hohem Niveau.

We had the most wonderful stay. Shen and his sister were the most wonderful hosts and went above and beyond. And everyone we met were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great and the meal we had there on one of the evenings was outstanding. Shen arranged transport for us to everywhere we wanted to go including Dambulla Cave Temple and a safari at Minneriya. He even got up to take us to Lion Rock at 5am! He also took us on our onward journey to Trincomalee stopping off to try local food on the way. Can’t recommend this place more highly. Thank you!

Everything was wonderful. One slight thing that would have helped would have been a chair in the room but this is certainly not a negative.

Je recommande à 100% cet établissement. Le personnel est adorable et aux petits soins. Le petit dej est excellent. L’emplacement est top, avec un café très sympa juste en face. L’hôte nous a organisé un safari qui était exceptionnel et nous a booké un tuktuk pour voir un lever de soleil. Tout était parfait !

De kamer is heerlijk groot en dat geldt ook voor de badkamer. Het bed lag comfortabel. Hansi, is zeer hartelijk en maakt een heerlijk ontbijt en ook de koffie smaakt heerlijk. De tuin ziet er prachtig uit en er is zelfs een gym. Fietsen hebben wij ook kunnen gebruiken.

Krásné čisté ubytování v pěší vzdálenosti od Lví skály. Součástí pokoje je krytá terasa s posezením a výhledem do krásné zahrady. Majitelé jsou moc milí, zařídili nám safari i tuk tuk, když jsme chtěli jet na východ slunce na skálu Pidurangala. Hned vedle ubytování mají malou restauraci, kde skvěle vaří a zároveň každé ráno podávají snídani.

La familia que atiende el lugar es muy amable y servicial. Comimos el desayuno y la cena en la terraza y era de excelente calidad. Nos organizaron los safaris y nos dieron buenos consejos para subir el cerro al frente del Sigiriya. También nos ayudaron en encontrar el tuc tuc para llevarnos muy temprano a este lugar y nos hicieron el traslado a Kandy con el auto pasando por diferentes lugares de interés.

Ik heb een geweldig verblijf gehad bij Sigiriya Shen residence. Er werd echt voor me gezorgd. De familie is ongelooflijk lief, gul en zorgzaam. Het eten is geweldig en de kamer was ongelooflijk schoon en fijn. Ik kan deze plek alleen maar van harte aanraden aan iedereen die richting Sigiriya gaat. Het fijne is dat het verblijf in de hoofdstraat ligt en daardoor de nodige restaurantjes op loop afstand heeft, maar het restaurant van het verblijf zelf is ook echt een aanrader. Zeker verblijven dus!

Great location to visit the Sigriya rock,. The rooms were big and clean. The included breakfast and coffee were good. The hosts, Shen & his sister were very pleasing & friendly and managed everything between the two of them.

The hot water geyser could be better.

Shen was very welcoming and helpful- he arranged a driver for our entire stay in a very comfortable car, rickshaw drivers to the tourist sites, as well as a safari which was amazing! Would stay again. 20 min walk from Lions rock and great restaurants.

A lovely place to stay in Sigiriya. Would really recommend, Hanis and her family were so helpful with organising our travel and activities. The breakfast was amazing too. Top tip: there is a beautiful swimming pool which is part of a hotel around the corner for if it's really hot, and they allow you to pay a small amount (around £3) to use the pool for the day.

The room was clean, spacious, quiet etc. and although basic, it had everything you needed for a short stay. The location was great, right opposite a restaurant/bar and a 10 min walk to more options. The owners checked in with us when we were out all day and didn't return until late in the evening which was a nice touch.

The bathroom had ants in and the shower wasn't overly hot, more warm. There wasn't a menu for breakfast, we were just served food which was nice on the first day but on the second day, we didn't want everything so some of the food felt like a waste.

Hansi was a lovely host, and made us feel very welcome. 10/10

Great location, 15 mins tuktuk to Lions Rock. The hosts are super friendly and helpful arranging transport and giving local recommendations. Clean spacious rooms, and great breakfasts. Definitely recommend!

Shen and the family were all so lovely and helped out with anything we needed during our stay. We had a lovely time, the location was great, and the food was delicious at the restaurant! Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Sigiriya!

很满意的一次住宿体验。酒店是兄妹俩一起在经营，都很热情。酒店面积比较大，有自己的健身房。房间内稍微小一点，但房间里面设施齐全。房间前比较开阔，有一个非常漂亮的小花园。酒店的位置尤其优秀，徒步走到狮子岩也只是需要半个小时，建议徒步走过去，因为还可以一路欣赏自然风光。你也可以骑单车过去，酒店提供免费的单车。酒店周围有很多吃饭的地方，当然你也可以在酒店里面吃饭，这是一个很好的选择。

Super liebe und hilfsbereite Gastgeberfamilie und auch die Lage in direkter Nähe zum Lions Rock ist wirklich toll. Wenn auch einfach, sind die Zimmer mit allem ausgestattet, was man benötigt. Das eigene kleine Restaurant direkt nebenan ist auch sehr zu empfehlen.

The location is amazing, really close to Sigiriya Rock, so you feel surrounded by nature the whole time. The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful (booking massage, elephant eco park and transport) and they made everything feel easy and relaxed. The food was super delicious (one of the highlights of our stay), and having bikes to rent was such a nice bonus for exploring the area.

Shen and Hansi are incredible hosts. They ensure that you are as comfortable as possible and you can ask for anything. They can arrange tuktuks and taxis against fair prices. The bikes you can hire are perfect to explore the surroundings of Sigiriya. We did this and saw wild monkeys and a land monitor. The environment has beautiful nature. The location is also nice, in a relatively quiet street but a short ride away from all the restaurants and cafes. The room is simple, comfortable, and clean. We had a beautiful 2 nights here. It feels like a small family since there are only 4 rooms at this property.

We werden uitstekend verzorgd door Hansi, die zorgde dat het ons aan niets ontbrak. Haar Engels is prima en ze kan je helpen met excursies e.d. Het ontbijt was goed verzorgd en er is ook een ruime menukaart voor lunch en diner. Er werd heerlijk gekookt. De locatie is perfect, veel barretjes en restaurantjes in de omgeving.

Staying at this accommodation made us feel like we were in a family home. The rooms are basic but clean and full of natural light. The staff is super friendly and helpful, always attentive to details. Delicious breakfast and all the food they serve at the small restaurant is excellent.

It’s located on the main road but a bit far from the main attractions. At night there isn’t much around unless you call a tuk-tuk

Stanza veramente umida! Sembrava che il letto fosse bagnato, come tutte le altre cose in camera. Sinceramente non capisco il punteggio, noi abbiamo letteralmente trovato rane in camera, una la prima sera (che abbiamo fatto uscire) e un’altra il giorno dopo!

We stayed at Sigiri Shen Residence and had a wonderful experience. The hotel and restaurant are family-owned, and the family is incredibly kind, warm, and welcoming. The breakfasts were delicious and filling, and we also had dinners there — everything was very tasty. They are always happy to help with anything you need. They arranged a safari and taxi for us at very good prices. The location is excellent: Lion Rock (Sigiriya) is about 2 km away — roughly a 25-minute walk. Pidurangala Rock is around 4 km away and takes about 10 minutes by tuk-tuk. There is a gym on the property (not sure if it’s free or paid), bike rental is available, and there is also a lovely, friendly dog 🐕 Thank you so much, Shen, and your whole family for the hospitality and care. Tutto! Soggiorno perfetto: le stanze sono minimal ma molto spaziose e ben pulite. La colazione è squisita così come tutto il cibo del ristorante della struttura. I ragazzi che lo gestiscono sono super gentili e disponibili per ogni tipo di esigenza. Ho anche noleggiato la bicicletta per girare nella zona e mi hanno fornito tutto loro.

Lovely place in Sigiriya. The room was simple, yet clean. Nice terrace outside the room to hangout. Staff were wonderful. Tasty breakfast also.

Ability to assist with transport/tour needs if required. Room was great size with lovely seated area out front. We also enjoyed other meals and games (UNO) in restaurant. Close to other restaurants & attractions (Lion’s Rock).

Floor of shower gets extremely wet & a squeegee to remove excess water would be helpful. More tea/coffee in room for multi-day stays.

The only negative thing about the place is that it is humid, which you can feel in the air and on the bedding.
