Absolutely the worst night I’ve had in years. The bed was extremely unstable and moved with every little movement from the guest below me. The host told me I needed to sleep on the top bunk. The guest arrived late and was extremely loud—it wasn’t snoring anymore, it sounded like a plane taking off. I barely slept for 5 minutes. The noise isn’t their fault of course, but the unstable bed definitely is. If it weren’t for the friendly host, great location, and cleanliness, I would rate my stay a 1.

La salle de bain à côté des cabines est froide (certaines personnes ne referment pas la porte après leur passage).

We liked that the family room we booked was comfortable and warm and had its own bathroom. The kitchen was great, clean and had everything we needed. There was a bottle shop across the street and a petrol station just down the road
We had to park on the street, but we parked under video surveillance so that was good

Reviewed Apr 20, 2026Staying in a twin room with a kid, we had a blast - a friendly old dog, chickens, fruit trees to gather fruit from, friendly staff, and exceptional cleanliness of the space. Basic accomodation but it was everything we needed, and an easy walk to the main street and over to Kowhai Park playground.
With four double bedrooms sharing a single bathroom that had a shower and toilet in it, there were times we were standing around waiting for a shower in the morning. Also, not much lighting to get from your room to the bathroom at night, so bring a torch

Reviewed Apr 5, 2026The hostel was really lovely and run by lovely staff. We stayed in one of the rooms off the back courtyard which was very clean and comfortable. Plenty of areas to sit and chat or eat. The kitchen was large and well equipped.
overall it was great but we did have a bit of a wait for showers in the morning - I think it was very full. Also a couple of the hob plates werren't working so we had to wait until someone else finished cooking before we could start. Minor issues though.

Reviewed Mar 8, 2026I stayed there for one night during a road trip. My room was large enough, had everything I needed, and the bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathroom was very clean. The stuff was very friendly and helpful. Great value for money. I would stay there again.
The bed was a little short (for people under 1.85 m it should be fine). One disadvantage is that there is only one bathroom with shower and toilet. Having them in separate rooms would be better but it didn't bothered me.
