Bed and pillows weren’t the most comfortable I’ve experienced.

Room was comfortable but compact and the mattress a little hard for our old bones.

Professional and friendly staff

The breakfast was excellent and the service second to none. The evening meal in the retaurant was amazing food choice good and again service was brilliant.nothing was too much trouble. The bar staff were brilliant .

There was nothing I didn’t like, apart from the fact that I sat outside to read my book. And had to leave my seat to get a drink when I got back someone had taken it. Maybe some table service outside would be good especially for people on their own.

Nothing to dislike about the hotel but having checked out of the hotel I had to waiting in the carpark for over half an hour whilst a delivery lorry unloaded beer kegs and drinks. I spoke to the assistant manager who was reluctant for the lorry to be moved so they continued to unload, leaving me just sitting watching as they were blocking the hotel entrance. This made me late for our spa appointment I had booked for my daughter and I, as her birthday treat! I was not impressed and because of this I would not stay there again.

The evening meal (fish and chips) was not good as were the overcooked breakfasts. The. Bedroom was of a ‘standard’ quality and did not reflect the price paid.

It was extremely hot in the room, no air con although a small fan was in the room it was not enough to provide cooler air

We stayed in room 2 which was lovely but from 4.30am didn’t sleep due to yapping dogs whilst this isn’t the hotels fault on a boiling hot night you needed the windows open as the small fan provided wasn’t sufficient on its own. When I reported it to reception on check out you could tell they’d been told this 100 times before. So if you get allocated number 2 you’ll need ear plugs or be a heavy sleeper. I feel like more fans in that room would solve the problem then you don’t need windows open. The room itself, the staff facilities & breakfast were great.

Lovely double room overlooking the village green. Room clean and everything you require for a comfortable stay. An excellent nights sleep, maybe helped by a few pints of the locally produced Broadway Dark from the bar.

Splendido l'hotel, in una struttura storica come solo in Inghilterra se ne trova, con le camere al di sopra del pub, ognuna diversa (ma quante scale per arrivare). Ottima la colazione, anche se ci è voluto un po' per essere serviti.

Broadway è carinissima, ma in piena estate non c'è nulla di aperto dopo le 20.00, considerando che il sole tramonta alle 23.00 fa parecchio strano.

We booked through Booking.com and particularly asked for a room with least steps (we are both in our 80s). We were given room 25 which was on top floor ...the farthest room away from reception. Also we found the waitress service during the 2nd night of our stay (my husbands birthday meal) was very slow. We had to keep asking for things. The hotel were aware we were celebrating on reception.

The windows were poorly located in our room, so we couldn't get very much fresh air flow to clear out the hot air from the day (90 degree F temp when we were there)

Our room was spacious & comfortable. We were lucky to have 2 large windows so plenty of air flow as it was hot. Plenty of choice at breakfast.

There was no fridge so unable to chill any water. Not a huge issue but we were staying 2 nights & then travelling on to stay in a lodge so fortunate we didn't take any chilled items (in a cold bag) which we'd considered doing.

Great breakfast, lovely selection and freshly cooked. Room was very comfortable, as was the bed. Had dinner at the hotel on both evenings of our stay. Food was excellent. Very impressed with the steak night on the Thursday evening. Fillet steak was perfect, cooked exactly as requested. Staff very helpful and attentive.

One small didn't like having a sink in the bedroom.

Many steps to get to room. I guess to be expected when staying at a restaurant/ bar and inn combo but the second floor was really the third floor.

This was our third stay at the hotel which speaks for itself. Perfect location. Nice room. Clean. Easy parking. Restaurant excellent. Staff helpful.

As residents we didn't expect the bar to close at 10.15pm, Also we had reserved breakfast for 4 but when got to breakfast, no table available so 2 place settings added to a 2 table, very cramped and had to put stuff on floor to fit dishes on. We won't be back sorry.

When my wife and I attempted to go for an early dinner (at 6 pm), we were told that the dining room was fully booked from 7pm and were shunted into a rather inconvenient small table in between two other couples in the bar (very close to each other). Throughout the awkward meal, we were afforded a view of the (lovely) dining room, which remained 70% empty for the whole duration! Not particularly impressed that residents were not prioritised, and there really is no excuse for this given that both the restaurant and the bar were being serviced by the same kitchen.

We booked for an evening meal in the hotel ( payment obviously was in addition to the bill) it was a small choice menu and not really to our taste , although the food we chose was fine , wouldn’t say it was spectacular, but was “ nice” Gastro pies or meals I believe would be better choices

The staff weren't particularly friendly with the exception of the housekeeping team and the receptionist when we checked out. The others could learn from them. The bed was very hard and the pillows lumpy. We didnt sleep well at all. Breakfast wasn't very impressive. Nobody to greet us understaffed. Nothing replenished we sat at 9am there wasn't any milk for cereal left, no water, very little orange juice, small amount of fruit. Stewed luke warm tea.

Good location, good food but most notable was the quality and friendliness of the staff, particularly in the restaurant. They really wanted you to have a great evening and took great care.

Our room was characterful and spacious & in keeping with the historic building. The bathroom was beautiful with a modern double walk in shower. We ate in the hotel restaurant. The menu offered a good choice. Our food was of a high quality and well-presented. The restaurant staff were very efficient, very polite and very helpful. The breakfast menu was top notch and the quality of food and staff was excellent.

Wonderful couple of days, staff were excellent throughout, tatterstalls, jockey bar, reception and breakfast all superb! Nice touch naming the rooms after great race horses,(Jodami) was ours. Food was excellent, nice selection of drinks and cocktails. Great buzz around the place and no shortage of staff. Manager Richard very attentive to all the customers needs considering how busy it was being Cheltenham festival week, he runs an excellent establishment in a wonderful village of the Broadway. Would most certainly come back here again given the opportunity. We had a wonderful stay.

My wife was using a walking aid so we think it be beneficial to have a handrail on both sides of the staircase. I’m over 6 ft tall and would have welcomed a soft foam protector across the low beams.

The room was too warm (even after turning off the heating in the day) so couldn’t sleep. Dinner was lovely but pricey the service was slow (for everyone by the look of it) and the desserts were very expensive but disappointing.

Location in centre of Broadway. The history of the building and clever use of design in restaurant roof. One electric car charger but will need more in future.

Stairs! My husband is nearly 80 and we were given a room on the top (3rd) floor. The 2nd set of stairs had very narrow treads and lifting a heavy case up to the top was difficult (and quite dangerous).

Very cute hotel with an absolutely delicious breakfast! Had a great view from the room.
