Historic hotel. Very clean and neat hotel and room. Super friendly and professional staff. Food was great. Parking was convinient.

The curtains were torn, there was broken mug for tea in the Room and that was very disappointing.

Great stay

We stayed for 3 nights at the hotel. The room was neat and good with all the amenities one would associate with an international class hotel. Breakfast spread was excellent, catering to Indian and western palates. Staff were courteous and professional and genuinely tried to assist. Overall, an excellent stay. Highly recommended.

the location is good but not ITC standard. Food quality needs drastic improvements. Resturant hygiene bad ..THERE WAS A FLY IN THE RASAM SERVED ! they tried justifying it that it was waiter fault ! ITC needs to AUDIT the processes and place

The hand wash was mounted near the shower panel and shower gel was mounted on the washbasin in the bathroom. Ideally it should be other way round. Shower near swimming pool was not working.

Excellent property and staff, greeting guests in Tamil. Specifically Sabitha, Raja and Mr. Gopal. Awesome pool. Great amenities. Non skid mat and grab bar are nice touches in the bathroom. Overall a nice experience. Jasmine flowers and welcome drink were nice surprises

Curteous, well mannered and eager to assist is how I would describe the staff. The property is nice re done in 2015 (as per the information shared with me), however the maintenance of the room (where we stayed) was a bit disappointing. The led tube light was not functioning, the drainage of the tub was blocked. However this should not negate the overall stay which was nice and pleasant. The breakfast spread was nice and so was the service, The wifi was excellent

Needs to give more attention to Guest requests and comforts especially Front office. What is the point in giving the room adjoining the Elevator which is undergoing complete overhaul when the guest has requested for a quieter room. However F&B services were better and barman RENGARAJAN stands out for extremely courteous and prompt service.

The property was fine for a couple of nights we were there. You can tell this hotel used to be the best hotel in the city but it has been surpassed by more modern hotels. It feels a little dated.

We had a comfortable stay. Hotel was clean and well equipped. Staff at front desk and restaurant (buffet) were friendly and helpful, especially the two elderly staff at the restaurant. The breakfast menu was tasty and had good variety.

I liked the staff who were friendly and helpful. The staff in the dining room were very good. The chef was excellent. There was a strong smell of nicotine and cigarettes in the bedroom. This was not good.

I run out of superlatives to describe Pandiyan. Simply the best hotel I have ever stayed in, and I have stayed in dozens. Friendly, comfortable, clean, lovely rooms, excellent buffets, lovely staff. Relaxing and very green in the bio sense.

The hotel is one of the best in the Madurai area but this is small city India and standards are different. The staff are all exceptionally friendly and very willing to help. Unfortunately we stayed at a 5 star hotel before we went there and that is tough competition for any 3 star. It is good value and the food was really good for vegetarians and vegans. Don't be put off, Madurai and its fantastic Temple are a must see when you come to Tamil Nadu.

Very Good hotel for Business and also for family staying

This is one of the best restaurants one can stay in Madurai. In the last 6 years I have stayed multiple times whenever I come to India and each time my experience has been better than the previous stay. The staff is very humble, attentive, cordial and go above and beyond in servicing the customers. The food here is one of the best (Continental and Tamil style breakfast), so many varieties in the buffet (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and all are enticing and loves the food. You will definitely enjoy the stay!!!

Was Good.. doesn’t have pool if you need it.

Everyone was very helpful but I reserved 2 rooms with 2 beds for 4 ladies and they only had one so they put in a cot in the second room. The chef at the restaurant went out of his way to make ala carte dishes to suit my tastes.

I was not informed at the time of booking on Expedia that breakfast was not included in the tariff. This was told to me while checking in. There was also a flier in the room which said that breakfast is included for all guests. Room and bathroom are neat and well maintained. Staff is curteous and enthusiastic. Buffet breakfast and dinner have a good spread and food is good. Wi-fi did not work well and we had difficulty in downloading videos received in whatsapp.

I stay here regularly, it is always first class, excellent, friendly and caring staff. Rooms are good, well maintained and always very clean. I am a massive fan!

Need to have proper concierge, Madurai is a tourist town, there were no maps, everyone of the staff has different opinions of the temple timings, very chaotic, no hot water in the morning, a cold shower... Highly recommend to have a dedicated knowledgeable concierge with proper recommendations.

Pandyan was one of the leading hotels in Madurai, now left behind by any new ones. The building needs proper maintenance - not seem to be happening. The restaurant staff seems to have no interest in maintaining the quality of service they used to have.

No frills, matter-of-fact place. good to stay on routine business. Breakfast is good especially for South Indian items, and they make a good masala omelette. Some renovation work seems to be going on but it did not bother us at all.

Comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Would have preferred a larger lobby to enable outside visitors to visit the guests of the hotel. There was hardly a lobby to sit and chill out , hence we were confined to the room only. But overall good, a central spot with a friendly staff. The guest toilet needs to be maintained well.

The food quality has to be better. Does not speak of an ITC hotel standards. Waiters are probably trainees and they have to be trained better in communication, be it Tamil or English. They just stare back at you and nod their head but don't respond to our requirements. After waiting for a considerable time, we have to convey the same thing to the restaurant steward. This was the case even after ascertaining that the waiters speak Tamil.

My husband and I stay here every year for our anniversary, and it just seems to get better every time. The staff are endlessly helpful, the rooms are clean and spacious, the grassy lawn is wonderful for the children to play in, there is even an extra-shallow pool which is also nice for the children, the food is delicious. We've stayed at 5-star hotels before, but we like this even better.

It is just good enough, buffets acceptable if limited, room ok but bed very firm, marginally comfortable. Hotel is close to Temple and business meetings. overall impression seemed a bit scruffy relative to my last stay 4 years ago.

This hotel is an old property. I stayed there on 23/01/2016 night. I am not sure if it is worth the money. Very poor service. I would like to cite following instances. 1) I arrived at the main entrance door to their lobby in the car. There was no one to talk or explain where I should keep the car or put the luggage. Finally I kept my car there walked to reception and was then acknowledged. 2) Language is a barrier I guess their staff does not understand English that well unless they are in front of Manager. 2) I ordered khichdi without chilly for toddler at 930 PM for room service. I got it at 10:15 PM with Chilly. I sent it back. I got another one at 1130 PM again with Chilly and I sent it back and got bread to feed my son. Next day in final settlement they charge me Khichdi. When I tell them that I returned it the reception guy is not able to reach the restaurant supervisor working in night and finally made me take cookies for same amount which I did not want unless I was ready to just wait there and delay my travel further on.

We had a pleasant stay, but the fridge in the room wasn't working. The pool was nice and the staff were friendly and helpful, however the hotel is starting to show its age and our room could have been cleaner.

Yet another excellent stay. Hotel is great, but staff make it what it is. They are attentive but unobtrusive, caring and kind. Thank you all.

My family enjoyed a lot in this hotel. Especially my son...Hotel has very nice buffet dinner and breakfast. Quality of food is very good. Sufficient Parking space and stay arrangement for driver is available in hotel.
