Really lovely hotel and a very enjoyable stay. Everything was spotlessly clean, the decor was really nice, and the whole place smelt lovely and fresh. The owners were incredibly helpful, friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even better. It’s also in a great location, close to the town centre and convenient for visiting family. Would definitely stay here again!

very clean + tidy location - 5minute walk to town centre
Convenient and quiet
No breakfast
The Grafton is a very nice small hotel that is tastefully decorated, comfortable and in a good location. We were staying in the area to meet friends and did not need restaurant or food facilities at the hotel so it works perfectly for us.
The hotel worked perfectly for us but the lack of breakfast or on-site dining may not suit others . Absolutely fine if your expectations are accurate when you book.
Room was fine and clean. Staff were pleasant and helpful.
No breakfast option. Free parking was merely a disc to park on the road - not free parking.
Very welcoming, the lady who greeted me was very helpful, we arrived early as we were working at the festival so left our bag, this was put in the room for us. After a long day, we were so happy that the bed was so comfortable.
If I'm being pick, I could see the WiFi password in the room.
Impersonal service
Very short walk to tge theatre and shops The places was spacious spotless and unique Will definitely be back
Nothing
The location for all Harrogate &surrounding areas plenty of bars &Restaurants excellent service 👌
Nothing too not like
Our room was clean and comfy and we loved the little extras e.g biscuits, bottled water etc. We were in a great location to explore Harrogate and the surrounding areas. The train station was in walking distance and we enjoyed a day out in York too.
Clean, good size room.
.
location, room was clean.
the room needed a cooler/fan as it was very uncomfortable at night trying to sleep.
Lovely host pleasant and welcoming, bed comfortable, location good, facilities good.
Didn't think it was 5 star, dusty blinds, wardrobe doors rickety, needs updating, shower soak away dirty, light bulb out near dressing table.
The property was in a good location and was in excellent order, very clean and all fixtures and fittings were of an excellent quality.

Very comfortable bed & exceptionally clean room. Free parking in Harrogate, a 10 minute walk into town, with Brunch at Weetons. Thank goodness there was a fan in the room.
We were on the second floor, it was a struggle up some very steep stairs.
Just a nice looking property from the outside down quiet street so no road noise to hear at night. When got the keys and entered property it was nicely decorated and very clean.
Nothing I could pick to dislike
Everything quiet location but within walking distance to town centre
Nothing
Quiet area and clean room
Didn’t see anyone after check in
Situation, for what we wanted it was a good situation. It was clean, and had all we needed.
We only saw the owner or anyone else once and that was to book in. The lady gave you the feeling you were inconveniencing her and was not welcoming. It was very warm at the time but had quite a wind at nights, and though the windows looked lovely they rattled all night. I had to get up and push toilet roll into the frame to hold the window only for the other two to rattle.
Great location and very clean.
Difficult to review staff as we didn't see much of them. Good job we don't mind a walk as the local cafe was closed.
Good value for money. Fully equipped room. Availability of parking.
Nothing to dislike.
Excellent location with very co for tab,e with good permit patking
Room was lovely. About a 15 min walk from town but it very up hill to get back!
Nothing really, staff were nice, room was nice
The room was lovely, large, and the bed was very comfortable. The pressure in the shower was good, and everything was clean and well maintained.
This is less an hotel and more serviced rooms. There was no breakfast on offer (which wasn't made clear at time of booking) and no room service at all. The bar is only open 6pm til 10pm. If there is no breakfast service, then for the price perhaps a decent coffee machine in the rooms might have helped. The staff were unwelcoming, and for the most part, nowhere to be seen. i think this used to be a lovely hotel, but the hallway was dark, dingy and unwelcoming.

There wasn’t aircon and it was VERY hot!
Clean & comfortable
Clean and comfortable with nice extras provided
We like where the location were easy to the bus stop and to the shops and restaurants, the room was a nice size
The manager of the hotel was very unwelcoming, the hotel was advertised as a five star hotel on Google, booked through Booking.com , we checked out the hotels own website which said they did Food and had a five star rating, the hotel also had a dining room on their website showing the breakfast and tables , when we got there they didn’t have any of this. You had to walk into Harrogate., when we asked the manager about this, he basically didn’t care and was very unhelpful. In the bedside drawers were a pair of ladies dirty underwear mention this to the manager who once again didn’t care. We later found the towels had brown stains on them what was obviously from the usage before. Luckily, we had taken our own. The showerhead falls down and didn’t stay up so you had to pin yourself against the wall to have a shower. On their website, they advertise parking, but when you get there, it’s street parking.
Very quiet very clean room changed daily
Nothing to complain about
the room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The room was also quiet and had a great shower room
it wasn't the accommodations fault but because it was the GYS prices were high everywhere
Comfortable and clean. A proper boutique hotel.
Didn’t offer breakfast
Room was very clean Made and cleaned each day Bottled water and tea replaced without the need to ask.
Nothing
Very clean, good location Would stay again 5star

The location
Smart
Because The Grafton doesn’t provide food, it was nice to get up any time and then choose where to go for breakfast. The information provided in the rooms was very helpful and everything was well organised.
I can’t think of anything.
Good location - owners eager to help - clean bedding. Tea and coffee replenished daily - lots of toiletries supplied - lovely big room.
No parking on site and the bays get filled up very quickly. Could have been a bit cleaner - shower drain quite dirty - throw on bed had dried food on it and blinds could do with a dust. These points wouldn’t stop us booking again. This is our second time here.
Very neat and comfortable. A smart place to stay
We stayed for two nights. It is in a quiet location about a ten/fifteen minutes walk from railway station and the town. Our room was really lovely. We had complimentary water, biscuits and sweets and these were replenished on the second day. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean, again with complimentary bath and hair lotions. Our bed was very comfy and we both slept very well which was amazing given that we stayed during a heatwave. I would thoroughly recommend a stay here.
Very nice lovely clean hotel but I wouldn’t put it at a 5 star. Probably more a 4
Very good location, so close to Harrogate centre. Modern, smart decor. Very clean and well maintained.
The Grafton was a lovely Bijou hotel which doesnt do breakfast but there are breakfast cafes close by. We only saw the owner briefly and the rest of the time had total privacy which suited us well. The room we had was really well furnished with high quality furnishings. The bed was super king and really comfy. Great place to stay.
Nothing.
Fantastic place will definitely Stay again
Missed no one on reception.
As above.
Very nice furnishings and very comfortable
No drinks or breakfast included
The room waa lovely
It was rhe hottest weekend but the radiators were on and couldnt be turned off. With no one around to help .
Lovely clean comfortable rooms Great location
Had everything we wanted
The stairs up to it
We stayed at this hotel for the weekend to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary and we were pleased we did. The room was spacious and well presented, with lovely little extras like toiletries, bottles of water, Twinnings teas bags, Coffee Bags, luxury hot chocolate and Boards biscuits on offer. The bed was comfortable, as were the pillows. The room was a nice temperature and was lovely and quiet. We both agreed that the room was good value for money. The only slight downside is that the hotel doesn't offer breakfast, but we knew this prior to booking and the hosts provided their recommendations to assist We chose to go to the Central Cafe for breakfast, which wasn't on the list, but was lovely. Street parking is free on a weekend, however we could see from the welcome pack in the room that a permit is provided if you're staying during the week. The walk to the shops and bars was fine and we did it a few times. We'll definitely be back, thank you x
Near to the town centre
It was perfect. A lot of stairs to carry the case up but ok
Very good location to the town, rooms clean. Comfortable beds Great to have free parking as well
Nothing
Loved the nice touches, comfortable bed, good nights sleep
Nothing
Know lift to rooms
Excellent room with tea and coffee and water. The blinds need cleaning . Room only, no breakfast, great location, easy parking.
Every finer detail had been thought of. Exceptional.
Nothing!
Central location. Lovely clean room. Fantastic value for money.
I was visiting with my 80th year old mum I should’ve checked on location of rooms, as we were 3 floors up with heavy fire doors at the top of each staircase. Completely my fault!!
Very clean and we had everything we needed
Nothing
Convenient but quiet location. Room a good size, well furnished and fitted with an excellent modern bathroom.
It is room only - not an issue for us but some may find lack of breakfast on-site an issue.
Very spacious, very clean ,very comfortable ,relaxed ..2 day stop and it was perfect. Virtually best sleep we’ve ever had as it was in a low nighttime noise environment. Couldn’t of asked for more
Would have liked a cooler/fridge. In room as it was really hot at the time of our stay
Beautifully clean room and a very comfortable bed. Fantastic location for wandering around Harrogate or discovering nearby towns.
Not a criticism however a small fridge in the room would be really handy for fresh milk etc especially on hot days.
Clean, friendly staff, great location
Liked everything about it
Great location, very clean and comfortable room.
Nothing, it is just what we expected.
Lovely, quiet and great location
Would have liked breakfast, however we did eat out.
We stayed at The Grafton Hotel over the May BH weekend. The hotel was beautiful and very good value for money. Really good location with on-road parking (the hotel give you a permit). Only a 10 minute walk to the town centre. Lots of restaurants and bars close by. Our room was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. Nice en-suite with good shower. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Tea and coffee making provisions in room, together with bottled water and biscuits. Plenty of drawer and hanging space. The hotel was very quiet which is always a bonus. Thoroughly recommend.
Easy booking central location. Nice cosy room
The nearest fast EV chargers within 200 m. Did not work..not the fault of the Hotel. But was one reason for the location
The room and bathroom was very spacious and clean and everything worked as it should. Plus the biscuits were very nice.
The room was lovely, and an excellent location for the conference centre. It was everything we could have hoped for.
room
nothing
I booked two nights via hotels.com and thought that I would be staying in a small boutique hotel. I saw someone on arrival to get my key and then not another soul for the two days. There is no bar, no restaurant, and a lounge that is locked. There is a glass door, so you can look at it like a museum exhibit. Quite bizarre. There is a good cafe a minute's walk away and some good restaurants including a fabulous Italian about 10 minutes away. The room was clean and it was very quiet, so I slept well. The shower room is tiny, in a corner of the room. Parking on the road is easy enough, and the neighbourhood is quiet and feels safe. It was an odd couple of days, like being on the Marie Celeste really.
Room very clean and comfortable
Lovely welcome tray in the room.
Great location and lovely room.
Comfortable beds and luxurious bedding clean room and bathroom well equipped with toiletries tea coffee biscuits to add extra touch. Reasonable cost. Check in and out easy.
Room and bathroom facilities. Location.
Quirky and lovely stay
all good
Good size room
Bathroom lacked surfaces for wet bags. Six flights of stairs to the room.
Perfect location. Extremely comfortable - felt very well looked after. Beautiful room and lovely bathroom. Easy parking outside the property. Will definitely return and recommend
All good.
Very comfortable, large room.
Close enough to town to be able to walk there
We arrived a little early than 3 as we wanted to go out for drinks and nibbles door to guest house locked no reply to door bell no response to telephone message so unable to get parking voucher no breakfast facilities which was fine no one on reception when leaving literally just saw a gentleman who gave us room key for about 5 minutes room smaller than we thought
A late booking and a great choice. Lovely room in well run hotel in the quiet part of town.
Nothing
Beautiful Hotel. Wouldn’t definitely stay again
Lovely comfortable bed, spacious room and very clean. The bathroom was lovely also.
The room was a little too warm for my girlfriend.
Very clean
Stairs to room would’ve liked lower room
Cleanness, location
Nice curb appeal, Pleasant room, nice size
Poor welcome, unfriendly reception experience. Over all we felt underwhelmed. Shower didn't work as it should
The Room was very Comfy and warm and the staff accommodated my request for a ground floor room. No breakfast option even though bookings.com suggested there was put me out as I was working away for the weekend.
There is no onsite parking and No breakfast option let's it down otherwise a real nice place and I would go back 100%
