Fountains Guest House - Harrogate Stays with FREE PARKING

Easy access to shops and restaurants

Very clean and comfortable

The location, exceptionally clean great serve in the morning for breakfast and great information pre arrival, would not hesitate to stay again

Nothing

Really convenient location, super clean and comfortable, fantastic breakfast and very accommodating with allowing us to drop bags off earlier than check in. The breakfast staff were fantastic. Particularly liked the code/ entry system and clear instructions.

We liked everything but a full length mirror would be really handy as would a non slip shower mat as the shower gets really slippery. It's also worth noting there's a high step to the shower which would be no good for someone choosing a ground floor room due to mobility issues.

Great location. Loved the access system. Not having to carry keys around was good. Everything clean and well looked after. Breakfast great.

Hardly anything at all. One small detail. We thought a shelf in the bathroom would have been handy and maybe a hook on the back of the door to hang up coats etc.

Accomodation clean and spacious. Breakfast good with a good selection. Location close to town center. Easily within walking distance.

Unfortunately thete were boiler problems which was next to our room which disturbed sleep. Owners however did their best to resolve.

Good location, good sized bedroom, delicious breakfast & free parking

No issues

The communication with property was quick, they answered my questions within 20 nins. Easy access, with beautiful large airy room. Shower hot, clean and nice smellies to wash with. Breakfast was lovely with the waitress very kind and helpful. I will have to return.

Bardzo ładny, wygodny, czysty pokój. Świetna lokalizacja. Doskonałe śniadanie.Perfekcyjna, przemiła obsługa. Polecamy

Beautiful bedroom. Very modern and comfortable. Lovely breakfast.

Didn't see any staff other than being served breakfast.

Good location, clean and comfortable. Fan in room helps with the hot nights as does the guest fridge in the sitting room. Have as much or as little as you like for breakfast

Nothing

Location is great! It’s within a short walk to the town centre and in a quiet neighbourhood. Room is very clean and breakfast is a great plus

It was very good value for money. There were 3 in our party and so the room with 3 beds was perfect. The breakfast was lovely and the staff were very friendly. Parking was fine because parking permits were available. E mails about check in were very informative and helpful.

Nothing - it had everything we needed

Wonderful stay. Was within easy walking distance to many parts of the city.

The bathroom was a bit tight when you sat on the toilet.

Breakfast amazing good quality. Bedroom very comfortable and immaculate

But of a walk getting to town centre as I am not too good on my legs due to a disability

Clean room, well appointed. Easy walk to town centre.

Noisy main road. Room rather warm and stuffy.

It was very clean and friendly staff. Parking was also goo

The room was really clean and spacious, shower was really good and a decent size, breakfast was really nice too. Easy walk into Harrogate town centre.

room clean and comfotable, good choice of breakfasts, few minutes walk to centre of town, free parking was a bonus, friendly staff.

no dislikes

Lovely stay in a very nice location. Clean, easy to check in. All instructions and information shared and easy to understand. I would definitely stay again.

Accessibility and easy check in

The limited breakfast menu, although when asked for alternatives, the staff were very accommodating

Good location. Walking distance to town centre. Spacious rooms friendly staff. Very clean and tidy. Liked the key pad system.

Not sure about not having someone to greet you even if there is a key pad system as we would have liked to have been able to ask about local places to eat and visit with personal recommendations.

Very nice room clean well maintained Comfortable & had everything I needed . The breakfast was very good , love the idea of an honesty bar . Staff communication was excellent. Staff friendly & helpful

Nothing

Close to the centre of town. Very clean. Excellent room and very well decorated

Everything was great

very good

a lift

The breakfast was lovely, the room was clean and very well laid out.

The room was very hot on arrival, we sent a WhatsApp message to Mark asking if the fan which was in the room was working but it took over at 16.31 it took until18.04 for him to answer. Another fan was brought to the room which took more space up in which was a very small area. A mini aircon unit should be installed into all the rooms. The bed was very tired the mattress was well worn i could feel the springs in it. the mattress topper was as thin as paper with a spot of blood on it. in my opinion the lay out of the room does not work. a long mirror is needed, the coffee station needs to be away from where you do your hair. a small dressing table would be useful so you are able to sit and dry your hair. The front door slams when people come home late at night.

Breakfast

Noisy boiler next to room could nt sleep

The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was very good.

The angel of drains in the bathroom not once we had run the shower it was ok

Value for money the room is just what you need

The breakfast was delicious plenty of choice

Vriendelijk personeel.

Very clean and breakfast staff were excellent nothing was a problem

Location

It was great

Very comfortable room

The basic elements of breakfast were less than an average b&b

Staff are so friendly, my second visit this year. So convenient having parking on site . So close to the center great location .Breakfast is a real treat with nothing too much trouble .

Nothing

nice

Beautiful guest house, great breakfast, location not too bad, free parking.

The room was very hot, we were on the top floor and it was hot outside, but they did provide a fan.

Excellent location. The room was clean and spacious. Inclusion of tea and biscuits was a nice touch. Breakfast was excellent also .

Nothing

Very clean, loved the key switch. Breakfast was excellent

Second night was a disaster. Right in front of our window through the night road works with lights flashing into the room. As well as the noise👎

Easy check in. All worked well. Single bedroom was fine, good shower and toiletries, fluffy towels. Comfy bed, addition of Alexa was useful. Really good breakfast, staff really attentive, nothing too much trouble. Easy walk into the town and conference centre.

The outside and inside of the building could do with a refresh, paintwork and decor a bit tired I'd say.

Nice and clean and in good location. Good breakfast

Very nice breakfast with good selection of tasty options.

Bedroom sidelight bulb blown!

The accommodation was very comfortable and clean.

Nothing

Everything was great, 100% would recommend 😃

Very friendly

Room was very hot

Good location, comfortable bed and good ensuite, nice staff, good breakfast, free parking, convenience for city

Room a bit small, would have been good to have 2 chairs for sitting. Choice of mini bar would have been nice. Would have been good to meet owner rather than just email, a bit impersonal.

The accommodation was in an ideal location for walking into Harrogate which was about a 10 minute walk. It was quiet, clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff serving breakfast always met us with a smile and couldn't do enough for us.

The only negative was the room felt on the small side that wasn't helped by the 2 large chairs in the room that we didn't use.

We had a lovely say with you

It was nice and small

Room was small And breakfast not served until 0800 so didn’t get any breakfast

Enjoyable couple of days in Harrogate. Excellent location to the town. Lovely staff and wonderful breakfast 😋

Nothing

Perfect location, 5 mins walk to Harrogate centre. Spotlessly clean and a lovely breakfast to your request. Bonus it's free parking.

Stunning brekky x

Nothing

The location was excellent for Harrogate Convention Centre, and having complimentary parking, although limited, was a real bonus. My room was also equipped with a range of practical amenities, making my stay very comfortable. The superb breakfast was freshly cooked and the overflow dining area had a very relaxing environment. I really couldn’t fault my stay - and will definitely try to book again when I’m next in the area.

Nothing!

Prima ontbijt, elke dag een pretiige ervaring, een goede start

Ik zou niet weten wst

The bedroom and bathroom are clean, good size. The breakfast is good. The owner made us sure to have access to the place without difficulty.

Unfortunately our bedroom is right next to boiler room, the noise from the boilers made us impossible to sleep. We lost almost the entire overnight sleep, only managed to sleep till 5am then the road traffic started.

fab location literally a 5 min walk into the centre of Harrogate, very smooth and easy entry system , breakfast was very good and lovely coffee!! everything was immaculately clean , thank you for a lovely stay

although v clean the bathroom did smell a little damp but nothing to spoil our stay

Location was close to bars and restaurants. The room was modern, clean, spacious and well equipped with tea, coffee and biscuits. The breakfast was very tasty and well cooked. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Nothing

The room was lovely. The little room tea/coffee area was replenished daily. The staff were excellent and could not do enough to make our stay wonderful

The outside area looked tired

Location was perfect for GYS

Bit confused about getting in but soon sorted after phone call

Location, cleanliness, good size room, facilities, good selection of food at breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, free parking.

Noise of front door being slammed in order to close, when other guests were in and out.

Easy to access and a comfortable room with good facilities.

Traffic noise as we live in a quiet location.

Didn't stay as on arrival we couldn't access the building. Spoke to someone on the phone who was no help.

Did not stay as we were unable to open the front door. Spent 40 minutes trying to get in. Terrible.

Everything was absolutely perfect.

breakfast was ok. shower was good

no one to greet you.The bed smelt like a tramp had slept on it

Excellent no issues here

Shower and toiletries were amazing. Parking excellent. Great nights sleep in very comfortable bed.

Great location, easy access, spotless room, very friendly staff and excellent breakfast.

Can't think of anything.

The beds were very comfy. Extremely clean, spacious and had everything you needed. Breakfast was also delicious. I would absolutely book again. Easy check in, good communication and just under 10 minutes walk to the centre. Perfect stay.

Great location, well advised clean and comfortable great breakfast. Would definitely book again.

All fine

Lovely property , modern facilities , cooked breakfast everything needed was available. Bed was super comfy ! . No complaints absolutely brilliant and will use again .

Nil .

I liked the location, the room, the breakfast

I didn't like not being greeted by my host. The only person we saw was the lovely lady making breakfast. I also was disappointed that the complimentary chocolates were non existent

Everything about the stay was fabulous. 10/10

Not the guest houses fault, but the front door when people left or returned just slammed shut. I get it needs to for safety and to make sure its shut. But I think its the people who are leaving or returning more than the door itself as we managed to close it behind us without just letting it slam shut!! Definitely not a dig at the guest house.

Lovely clean and well decorated bedroom. Bed was comfortable. Close to centre - short walk 5 min. Parking available on site. Owner was friendly, helpful and responsive to queries. Communication was great. Breakfast was good - just right size and I really appreciated vegetarian option! We would stay here again.

Nothing to dislike!

We had a one night stay here and the location was great for a walk into the centre. Our room was on the ground floor and was very clean with a comfy bed and was lovely and quiet. The breakfast was very tasty with polite and friendly service and the addition of complimentary fresh milk and cold bottles of water to buy from the fridge was a great idea and very welcome in the heat!

Nothing to dislike

Friendly staff at breakfast. Fresh milk. Although not staffed after breakfast, the keyless access worked well.

Very tight little car park but also possible to park down the side road

Clean and tidy lovely breakfast friendly staff.

Nothing that we didn’t like.

Excellent location near the centre of Harrogate. Easy parking. Comfortable room with a nice bathroom. Good breakfast.

There was nothing not to like.

Our room was a Triple Room with En-Suite on the second floor. Room was really clean and included tea/coffee/hot chocolate for 3 with biscuits. Bathroom was clean and modern and also well thought through. The owners were really good at communicating and were kind enough to organise an early breakfast for us which was so nice of them. Parking was easy, we were on the road but permits were provided. Overall a very good experience - thank you

Nothing.

Clean and comfortable

Nothing

15 minutes walk to the town centre

Neither fridge nor microwave were provided

Lovely property and great value, on arrival our room wasnt set up as a large double but Mark and Jesper sorted it immediately. What a lovely and professional team, we will use Fountains Guest House on our travels from Scotland to the south.

There was nothing we didnt like

Location

There was a problem with the plumbing system so we had very little sleep, first we thought it was lots of people flushing the toilet or having a shower and it would stop by 11pm but it went on all night, and I mean all night, then when the owner contacted us to write a review we told him about the problem and explained we had very little sleep and he admitted it had happened previously and it was a problem with the water pressure which upset us even more because we had to cut our trip short because we were so tired so I would not recommend anyone stay here if you value your sleep

The staff were lovely and very friendly. The building had beautiful features. Breakfast was nice. Good parking. Tea and coffee facilities in room and toiletries. Excellent location. Really quick response from the team if we needed anything.

We unfortunately stayed during a heatwave and were on the top floor so it was absolutely boiling. The fan was only small and didn't rotate so we could have done with a bigger one. There was no check in desk and with it part of a bigger company slightly lacked the personal touch etc. Don't think our room had been hoovered but everything else was clean.

Quiet, good location. Breakfast nice.

Drain in bathroom was very smelly. Arrival difficult as I missed the message giving instructions A number to phone on the front door in case you couldn't get in would be advisable. Also say in details that the place is unmanned.

Close to centre clean parking friendly staff

Price and location spot on. The keyless entry system was also fabulous. Great communication prior and during visit.

"Didn't like" is the wrong words but the children said the mattress was a bit uncomfortable.

The location, and easy book in system . Free parking . The fan in the room was very welcome , as was the sheet to replace the duvet . It was exceptionally hot in the room, but everything possible was done to make our stay comfortable . Breakfast was good .

Only one small niggle . The paint on the ceiling above the shower was flaking off quite a lot . A shame because otherwise the shower room was fine

Very easy self check in, when needed the owner replied quickly. Very comfortable room, good breakfast.

Ideally situated within walking distance of the centre

location good , breakfast was very good

good choice of breakfast

Location is spot on

Nothink

Location excellent, clean and tidy for a short stay.

The guest house easy to find and close to the towns amenities. The house was exceptionally clean and tidy. The building was very traditional and historic features untouched. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. The owners sent clear instructions on the location and how access the property. Wonderful stay would definitely return.👏👏

Nothing

Great location . The staff were really helpful and friendly . Breakfasts were delicious. Our room was plenty big enough. Lovely comfy beds. Every where was extremely clean and tidy. Parking wasn't a problem at all. We will definitely be returning.

Very comfortable and pleasant stay Room had everything you need, lovely fresh breakfast and staff very friendly

The welcome email and entry instructions were simple and very clear. We didn't see staff until breakfast but that wasn't an issue as the check in process was so easy. Our room was a good size, well appointed with a clean and modern bathroom. Breakfast was great, with buffet and cooked options, although there was no fresh fruit available during our stay.

It was a very warm evening and, with the windows open, there was some noise from the main road close by.

Large bed, shower room good size but toilet had an angle wall so hard for a larger person to sit on comfortably. 5 mins walk to bottom of town so very central. We managed to park behind so no pass needed for street parking. Breakfast was lovely with more toast if needed.

Apart from corner area around toilet their wasn't anything we didn't like

Great location, Communication and secure access to property 👍

The bathroom had a bad smell which was quickly rectified. Great communication and Jesper was very quick to sort out. Great comms on WhatsApp.

Well equipped, clean room and fantastic breakfast. Parking permits also really appreciated! Very well located for centre of Harrogate.

Never love the slightest gap in middle of bed when two singles have been joined together..
