Beautiful big rooms with balcony! Great location close to the zocalo
No volvería a quedarme ahí.

location and value
everthing was perfect
The location was close to the historical district
The sewer smell in room 202, weak shower pressure
Hace muchísimo calor, no tienen aire acondicionado o ventilador.
Staying in this room was an experience of kinds. Really unforgettable.
The steep and unlit stairs, the sound insulation (to the stairwell, not to the street). The room itself lacks sufficient lighting, there is not enough lamps and those existing are only of symbolic value.
This is an old casona, from the 1800s, with a historic plaque out front to prove it. Exactly the architecture, location and price I was looking for. One of the maids said Porfirio Diaz, Mexican dictator from the late 1800s to the early 1900s, slept in the third floor corner room. I don't doubt it. The period furniture was perfect.
The curtains and bed cover -- not really a bedspread. a decorative cloth that covered the whole bed, down to the floor - were also period and a little threadbare. Could have used a desk, a better showerhead, better nigh tables. But for the price ...
The location and the room were gorgeous!
It was fantastic!
Location, historia, and large room
Noise from the street sellers
Large ornate room.
Noise! There's a woman selling food from 11 am to 6 pm that hollers her offers about every 30 seconds the entire time!
completely unique and unusual rooms, very old fashioned but in a stylish and wonderful way that is the opposite of a generic modern hotel
La ubicación es genial. A dos minutos caminando al zocalo. La habitación es muy amplia. Obviamente rustica, me agrado la decoración. La cama, deliciosa.. Muy pachoncita y linda para descansar. Excelente para estancias cortas.
Beautiful hotel in 18th century mansion, feels like a museum and great location!
Personal and friendly service
Pillows not very comfortable
Água quente do chuveiro acabava no meio do banho. Apto no segundo andar e não tinha elevador. Papeleira do banheiro quebrada. Internet não funcionava. Cama afundada, côncava. Não tinha funcionário na recepção algumas vezes. Limpeza deixou bastante a desejar.
We had a lovely stay in very nice and well appointed rooms. Gorgeous place and the staff were very kind and helpful.
Only feedback is that the shower was quite leaky and left a puddle on the floor, but it wasn't a big problem for us as we were only there one night.
We liked the antique ambience and comfortable bed. Very large bedrooms and bathroom.
Sporadic hot water temperature in shower.
Great location, historical building, large rooms
Dim lighting in the bathroom
Eau chaude intermittente
Historic jewel in the heart of center
Nothing
Statig herenhuis perfect gelegen

We had a magical stay. This hotel feels like you are staying in a historic palace. The room and the bathroom were huge and very comfortable. Loved the cute juliette balcony. We appreciated the antique furniture in the room. We arrived prior to check-in and the hotel was happy to store our luggage. Yes, there are only stairs to access the rooms, however staff assisted us with our luggage. We requested an extra pillow and was delivered to the room quickly. We stayed in early January and the room temperature was very comfortable (despite no AC or fans). Amazing location for exploring the city and all the outdoor markets. We took an uber to the ADO bus station and picked up right in front of hotel. Excellent value for money!
Filtered water tap in room and breakfast on-site would have been nice, but 1 minute walk to convenience store.

I LOVED lots of aspects of this hotel: Brandon who greeted me at 2am, Graciela the next day & for several days on the front desk is smart, knowledgeable, helpful, efficient, kind & practical. AND she speaks english very well. Also Guadalupe cleans beautifully. I needed extra services: a fridge in the room, more pillows etc. No problem! This hotel is old (1600s) and really interesting. Like most old Mexicano hotels, there aren't so many electrical sockets but Brandon (as well as carrying the fridge to my room), provided extension cords. This hotel is SO central, is in SUCH a safe neighbourhood with markets, shops, banks, pharmacies and restaurants--just everything you need nearby AND is also in a shaded area so it was never hot. If you like quirky, if you are traveling alone (or not--but knowing the team cared made staying there feel like home) and want to feel safe, I highly recommend this hotel AND Puebla city. Thanks to all the staff!
Electrical sockets & sometimes waiting for hot water BUT Graciela told me to give her 10 minutes notice of needing water, just in case she can boost it when everyone else is also taking a shower in the morning. But this water issue is across Mexico, so the hotel is not the problem. Gracias Graciela!

The hotel is located 2 min walk from the central Cathedral, in the middle of the old town Puebla. The hotel is situated in a 18th-century building, with a wonderful sense of history the moment you enter it. The ceilings are tall, the walls are ancient, the decor is beautiful. The staff is very friendly. The place is very clean and well maintained.
I would like to have a better shower. I understand that it is not hotel-related and a widespread thing in Mexico (I traveled enough in Mexico to encounter it pretty much everywhere). The shower-head was delivering more of a spray rather than a stream of water. It took forever - literally close to 10 min - to warm the water from the hot-water nozzle, so we had to turn water and go do something else for a while, to be able to take a hot shower. But it's not that big of a deal, as long as you expect this kind of issue.
Well I have no plans to visit anywhere else if I were to visit this sane city. Let’s just say that
Not much happy here
heritage setting and location. charming interior design.
the bathroom was in poor repair, particularly leaky shower door which caused water to flood the floor into an open drain in front of the sink. Soap dish in shower was not screwed to wall properly. The hair dryer did not work. Towels were very worn. lamp beside bed did not work properly because of a broken cord, which was dangerous - the lamp was replaced however.
the room was very big. it had a balcony and plenty of natural light. there is no A.C or ventilator but when I asked in the reception they brought me one ventilator so I was completely comfortable. the location is very good. Just few minutes walk from the main squere. internet was strong and reliable. stuff was friendly and helpful
the bed was too high
Decepcionante. Jamás volveré a hospedarme con ustedes.
Great location
This is not a '4 star' hotel. It has seen better days. Hot showers were not guaranteed, 2 days out of 5 the water was cold. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was huge and the king size bed was very comfortable.
We loved how George set us up again. Made a phone call called him. Moved our suitcase and just once again made our time there amazing we have no consideration to return and go some place else .
This is the dog room and I can’t say I did not like it. Gorge. He got as a room again. This room is not often booked and water is always cold and some electronics aren’t kept up to date. The reason Why they don’t do much maintenance is because, there is an occupant in that room no longer from the living. She is a nice spirits who once lived when the hotel was still a house. She acts like is is her house and welcomes you. She just moves and makes notices in the room. But she is just trying for you to appreciate her and her hospitality. But even then I can’t cat we did not like the room or were unhappy
Strada centralissima e quindi molto trafficata
The hotel itself is absolutely stunning. It's one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever stayed in, from the antique furniture to the artwork to the centuries-old tiles. The atmosphere was rich. The staff were all absolutely lovely. It's right in the centre of Puebla, so all major sites are within about a mile's walk.
I really would have liked to stay a few more nights.
Gracias.
Amazing location comfy beds in the 2 bedroom suit amazing views from the balcony nice staff Well recommended close to a lot of restaurants tour bus Churro spot
Location and staff
I sought out this hotel for the reviews of comfortable beds. Two other hotels I tried in Puebla had very hard beds. I slept very well here in two different rooms. It was too warm, but they gave us a fan. The fan was loud but I sleep with earplugs, and the sound did not bother my husband. We had immediate hot water and great water pressure in the king room with balcony. The water pressure was not as strong, and hot water took longer in the Moroccan room. But it’s an old building, so if you want to be in the historic center at this price, this is normal. These buildings can only be renovated to a certain extent. We absolutely loved it and will book here again. I do wish they had a fridge in the rooms. But they did have complimentary coffee and water.
I would not be able to stay here in May because there is no air conditioning. However, last May I chose a hotel in Centro Historico with air conditioning, and there was mold in it because of the moisture in these old buildings, so I had to move to a different hotel that had an awful bed.

Mexican buildings don’t usually have screens on the windows, but if we could open windows and keep mosquitoes out, we could bring in cooler air with the fan. Would love a mini-fridge in the rooms.
Lovely old house converted to a hotel. The location is perfect.
