After the terrible experience I had the night before, this hotel felt like a true paradise and completely transformed the start of my trip. Finding this place felt like discovering a little piece of paradise. I was so happy to arrive somewhere that was peaceful, clean and welcoming. I stayed in a beautifully decorated suite that was comfortable, and full of charm. Everything about my stay was amazing from the peaceful courtyard to the delicious breakfast and the atmosphere of the hotel. I loved how serene the environment was and it was enjoyable to rest during the hottest hours. The staff were friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The golf cart service to drop us off at the port was really appreciated. I would absolutely recommend this hotel.

Wonderfully peaceful, yet only a couple of minutes walk to fantastic restaurants and bars. great transfer to and from airport. Had a massage with Alex, booked by Elena. Would definitely recommend, it was very reasonably priced and we both felt great afterwards.

The bathroom lighting was a bit hit and miss.

Such an amazing hotel right in the town center of Rhodes. The room was beautiful and the breakfast each morning was delicious. They also picked us up and dropped us off in a golf cart which was an amazing (and very convenient) bonus.

Everything was amazing, from the facilities, to the staff, to the food and the overall theme of the hotel. We felt so comfortable moving around the hotel, like we were at home. The staff was super friendly and made sure that we enjoyed our stay as newlyweds!! We havent seen a more beautiful courtyard and such a serene environment. Would totally recommend!

Amazing service and support being picked up from port and taken into the old town. Can’t thank the staff enough for being problem solvers, getting me good restaurant reservations and taking care of my questions and logistical needs.

Such a wonderful hotel in the heart of the old town. The antique house is both elegant and cozy. The guests are friendly and helpful. The beds and pillow are really comfortable. Cherry on top, breakfast in the garden is delicious. We will return for sure!

Great location and very atmospheric, room well appointed, bathroom excellent, bed very comfortable. The courtyard wonderful, great place to have breakfast in the morning, and a peaceful place to read a book and after a dip in the plunge pool in the afternoon after spending hours walking around the old town. Perfect. Eleanor and Theodore were great hosts.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.

Everything! We got the VIP treatment from start to finish. We were picked up at the peer with a golf cart and driven all the way to the hotel, where we had coffe/tea and cake. Even though we arrived well before normal check inn they managed to get everything ready shortly after our arrival (1200). The location and atmosphere is amazing, with my favourite being the garden area. A water feature in the middle with trees giving off a cooling shade, and with a little pool to dip into. The breakfast was very nice as well.

Can't think of anything, the lights would sometimes flicker in the bathroom, but that's all.

We stayed here for four nights on our first trip to Rhodes. The hotel is a beautiful renovation set off a cobbled alley in what turned out to be my favourite part of the old town, a short walk from the more touristy bits. We stayed in the suite on the top floor up a seperate flight of stairs (the Grand Master Suite I think), but honestly I reckon all rooms are equally lovely and there ws even one on the ground floor by the entrance gate that looked nice and private and would be perfect for any with mobility issues. The garden is beautiful and we spent quite a bit of time sitting out there relaxing, between trips into town and a trip to Symi. Breakfasts in the courtyard were great. Most of all we would like to thank Elena, Theodore and the lovely housekeeping lady. They are such great hosts who do anything to help. We loved our stay here and will definitely stay again if in Rhodes. Rachel and Nick

the bed could have had a bedstead - rather than placed halfway against a chimney breast so it was difficult to sit up and read in bed

We had a wonderful stay here. Elena, Theodore and the team were incredible. From the initial communication to the transfers back to the airport. The hotel is charming and fits the Rhodes experience. The decor was amazing. It is in a great location with many restaurants and taverns close. They provided recommendations for incredible food. They even took great care of us for an early departure, which was very much appreciated. Highly recommend this gem!

We’ve just returned from a week’s stay at this delightful hotel and can’t imagine there’s anywhere better in Rhodes. We had comfortable accommodation, excellent breakfasts and people who couldn’t do more to make us feel at home. Every request was answered with warmth and knowledge. The lady who does the housekeeping worked very hard and our room was spotless every day with a fresh set of towels provided. The aircon was efficient and the bedding luxurious. We really weren’t prepared for the amazing location. We imagined we’d be in a side street but found ourselves down a cobbled alley which made for a very quiet stay. We felt extremely safe the whole time. Transfers and car hire were arranged for us by the hotel and couldn’t have been done more efficiently.

We returned to the Spirit of the Knights 12 years after our first visit here and were delighted to find that the hotel has changed very little in that time. The rooms are spacious and well-appointed, with very comfortable beds, and the hotel itself is perfectly situated in the alleyways of the Old Town. The building has been thoughtfully restored, and has attractive public areas inside and out. Breakfast was as lovely as we remembered, with a great choice of freshly cooked food available if required, although we stuck with the fresh fruit, yoghurt and honey and the gorgeous bread. Both Elena and Theodore were very helpful with transfers, local info and restaurant reservations. Rhodes Town is well worth a few days of anybody’s time, with some interesting attractions and lots of very well fed cats! If we return to Rhodes we really must try and see a bit more of the island, but it’s quite hard to drag oneself away from the laid back atmosphere of the Old Town Streets! Thank you, Elena and Theodore, for another very enjoyable stay - we hope to see you again sometime.

The hotel itself is an oasis of tranquility, nestled down a quiet lane within the walls of the old city. The scent of jasmine hits you upon arrival. The rooms are tastefully decorated, the beds are roomy and comfortable and fresh linens are provided daily. Elena was a gracious host, providing us with a tasty selection of breakfast options each morning. Theodorus was also on hand to take us and our heavy luggage to the hotel in a golf buggy (the highlight of the trip for our daughter), and to provide interesting Insights into the history of the island and offer suggestions of places to visit. Myself and my family cannot recommend this hotel enough, totally made our trip to Rhodes one to remember.

The hosts Elena and Theodore were very kind and attentive. I loved the breakfast. The room feels historical while also being clean and equipped with a modern bathroom. It was very comfortable. The location is perfect, as the walk to the hotel feels like passing through a medieval city.

This is a medieval property that was done up to a high standard. The problem is that you do not get what you expect from a 4 star rated facility. WiFi was very poor. The lighting was terrible. There was no mini fridge hence all drinks were warm.

There was no fridge in the room. Only one staff and she had to juggle between multiple duties. Dropping of to the taxi stop was a struggle for her but she managed very well.

Charming historic small (6rooms) hotel in the old city of Rhodos. Lovely garden, very comfortable lobby/breakfast area, and awesome upstairs library. Theodore was a kind and gracious host. Breakfasts were delicious! Rooms were comfortable and spacious with antique furniture and accents. Each room/suite is quite different from the others. One room even has a steam bath (hammam!). Theodore met us at a city gate in an electric buggy to get us and our luggage through the tiny lanes to get to the hotel. Staying inside the old city is delightful!

Breakfast in the garden was excellent. It was made to order with various choices. Location was a bit of a walk to the back corner of Old Town, but lots to see and experience. Close to everything.

Had a little problem with the windows during the heavy rainstorm, but that is to be expected in a medieval hotel.

This hotel is an absolute gem. The location is one of its best assets, as it is close to everything yet is quiet and tucked away. The room was unique and adorable with a large comfortable bed. But the best part was the breakfast. We have been travelling for 6 weeks and have had fantastic breakfasts but this was hands down the best. Everything is to order and the highest quality. The staff and includes the owner so you know the standards are high, and getting picked up from the port in a golf buggy (at no cost) was also another fun highlight. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

This is a wonderful place to stay. Our room was very spacious and clean and quite beautiful. Breakfast was made to order and delicious. The location is fantastic, close to shops and many good restaurants, particularly Nomad and Mezzanine Luna. Theodore and Elena are excellent hosts!

We loved our stay here! Elena and Theodore were incredibly helpful and accommodating—our flight was delayed and we arrived very late but they still arranged our transfer and picked us up at the Old Town gate. Elena helped us to book a rental car and Theodore recommended lots of things to do, including restaurants, a secluded beach nearby and a route for our road trip down the west coast. The hotel and its garden were beautiful and the location was perfect. Breakfast was delicious. Thank you Elena and Theodore :)

Excellent location and beautiful historical building in the heart of the old town. Absolutely perfect stay for a night. We were also upgraded to the higher room. Breakfast was delicious and we were also offered free transfer to the port as we were continuing our journey by ferry.
