The stay was absolutely exceptional. The facilities were clean, newly renovated, rooms were beautifully appointed. The views are stunning. The staff went above and beyond and couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. Pool area was lovely. If you're there in peak season I could see the pool seating maybe getting crowded but we were there early to mid Sept and it was perfect, had no issues getting a lounge chair. A pleasant 10 minute walk to the heart of Belagio and refreshingly a little off the beaten path so not in the heart of the tourism. I was debating a lot of different hotels but couldn't more highly recommend the Belvedere. It feels local and Italian with the quality of a 5 star hotel.

Stunning property and views of the lake. Every location on the property was perfectly maintained.
Breath-taking views everywhere! Spacious, comfortable room with attentive staff. The concierge Alberto was especially helpful! Outstanding spa, with many amenities and excellent staff. The best hot breakfast we had during our 4 week European trip, the fresh fruit, omelettes, and pastries were to die for. A shuttle was available to ferry us to downtown and back again upon request, which we used.
The hotel is located above the downtown area, so is a semi steep walk up to it. However, there is a shuttle if needed. The location means the area is quiet, which is great, and the views are unobstructed. The evening restaurant menu is limited and quite pricey.
The breakfast was amazing. the staff totally attentive and help brilliantly with the problems that occurred with booking ( which was totally our fault ). But you sorted everything so well . Faultless and we will be coming back regularly . The hotel excels .
The Tower Suit was lovely . But should have had Auto sensor lights on the stairs for safety and convenience because toilet downstairs. Also a TV . on suites of your standard always have TV in the bedroom. also not restriction to other guests to the floor purely for Tower Suite
Incredible hotel, the views were breathtaking and the facilities were fantastic. The rooms were well equipped, the pool, jacuzzi, spa were very high quality and the restaurant and food top class.
From the moment you arrive, the service was of the highest quality, the staff were kind, friendly, welcoming and made you feel welcome without question.
Le côté intimiste, le calme et l'environnement. La vue est superbe!
Hospitalité exceptionnelle / cuisine qui vaut le voyage / infrastructures de qualité / environnement géographique apaisant / gestion familiale tangible

Our Wonderful Stay at Hotel Belvedere in Bellagio Our stay at Hotel Belvedere in Bellagio was one of the highlights of our entire trip to Europe. We stayed for two nights, and from the moment we arrived, we knew we had made the right choice. In fact, our only regret was that we didn’t stay one more night! The hotel is absolutely beautiful and has a wonderful location. It is just outside the busiest part of Bellagio, so it feels peaceful and quiet, yet it is only about a 10-minute walk into the heart of town. We loved being able to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the hotel while still being close enough to walk into Bellagio whenever we wanted. Our room was very comfortable, and the views were spectacular. The breakfast was delicious, and we also enjoyed dining at the hotel. The staff was exceptional—warm, attentive, and genuinely interested in making our stay special. We also loved exploring the hotel’s wine cellar and participating in a wine tasting. One of our favorite experiences was at the bar. We enjoy Negronis, and one of the wonderful waiters introduced us to different Italian versions of the classic cocktail. He prepared two different Negronis using Italian gin and Italian bitters, with a less-sweet flavor than we were accustomed to. They were both fantastic, and it was such a fun and personal experience. We absolutely loved Bellagio, and Hotel Belvedere was the perfect home base for exploring it. We enjoyed the gardens, Dolce Vita, walking through the town, and of course, stopping for gelato. There was so much to see and enjoy that we simply ran out of time. We also arranged a private car service to and from Malpensa Airport, which I would highly recommend. The drive along Lake Como was beautiful, and being able to sit back and enjoy the scenery rather than worry about driving, cyclists, buses, and unfamiliar roads made the experience even more enjoyable. Hotel Belvedere exceeded our expectations.
Tout était parfait, la vue, l’emplacement, les équipements, le SPA Cet hôtel est tout simplement Exceptionnel !

We loved everything about our stay! It was pricey, but well worth it as it dramatically improved our experience staying in Lake Como. It feels fantastic coming back to the property and relaxing by the pool after a day exploring. All the finishes were exquisite, including the most incredible spa area I’ve experienced, the service was top notch, and the views from the pool are stunning. I don’t usually care for breakfast buffets, but this one was amazing and well worth it. The hotel is very well located, just a short walk from downtown Bellagio. It was luxurious but relaxed and refined. Would definitely come back, hopefully soon!
Nothing, this was one of my favorite hotels I’ve stayed in.

The staff is exceptional and we really liked the hotel. Our room was on the outside of the main building and had a lovely garden facing the lake. Being close to the centre village of Bellagio is perfect.
Considering the quality of the hotel, some improvement in the beddings (specially pillows and mattress) would be desirable.
Fabulous location with great views and great facilities. The staff were very exceptional and clearly very well trained. The breakfast was excellent as was all the food.

The property was beautiful with stunning views and lovely gardens. Breakfast was delicious. Cocktails were wonderful. Quick walk to the center of town, and down to the lake for boat tours. Staff was excellent and attentive. We visited one of the other luxury hotels closer to the lake and we were so happy with our choice, as it was much larger, more formal and too stuffy for us.
If I was forced to choose something, I suppose our lunch at the pool was a little underwhelming. My chicken Caesar was very bland.
Everything is new. Staff is super positive. Location and views.
VIEW AND ROOM
NOTHING
It was not the hotel’s fault that I booked our room through a well known booking website. I picked from the choice available and went with a “Garden view” room as the only Lake view room available 5 months prior to our stay had been the Lake view Suite. At the price I was paying ( approx €1300 per night ) I expected something a little better than a small green area opposite our room window almost completely screened by large trees, which allowed very little light into this gloomy space. But worse than this is the inconvenient truth that a road runs behind the back of the hotel. It would therefore be more accurate to advertise these rooms as having a “ Roadside view” which of course will never happen. The greatest gift a hotel can bestow its guests is a good nights sleep. Alas this was all but impossible due to a steady stream of revved up mopeds and motorbikes which sped by a few yards from these sleep deprived guests on and off all night. That said, other than the terrible room we had, the Belvedere is a wonderful hotel…..great staff, great food, personalised service and beautiful views. It can’t be faulted. In summary, staying in a back room at the Belvedere is like being on a plane cramped into economy knowing that fellow passengers were traveling first class but only paying €100 more for the privilege. This is the small difference between Lake view rooms at the hotel and the Roadside view alternatives. Chalk and cheese, heaven and hell. Buyer beware! .
Beautiful views. Very pristine room and amenities. The staff were incredibly attentive. The best. They went above and beyond every single time. Carlotta showed us around and was very friendly and kind the whole time. Annarita went out of her way to help us out on numerous occasions. We were greeted by Manuel when we first arrived and he was very knowledgeable, friendly and a great help. Arianna was very sweet and looked after us at the spa. And then there was Alberto. Time and time again when we needed something booked, a recommendation of where to go or help getting around, he was there. He was so so helpful and really made our stay pleasant. Thank you to everyone who looked after us. Can’t recommend Hotel Belvedere enough.
Hotel is lovely. Pool and location are beautiful. Staff are ok. Definitely saw and felt the anti-Americans vibe, unfortunately. We were as quiet and nice as we could be but still got the look down the nose treatment. Not an inexpensive hotel to be treated that way.
My family and I stayed in 5 rooms across 4 days in June 2026. The beauty, attention to detail, team are all a 10 out of 10. I will list a few drawbacks but in NO way should this inhibit you from staying at one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. Pros: Overall: The hotel is beautiful and the attention to detail at every corner is second to none. The view from the top of Bellagio is incredible and the hotel feels like they have the correct number of rooms to amenities. It was never full or "busy" feeling. Staff: The team there works tirelessly and are impeccably trained. Location: Bellagio is a great spot to operate out of. You are 5 minute walk to the top of the town and can call the free shuttle to pick you up at the bottom if you'd prefer. Spa: I don't expect exceptional spas at smaller hotels in primarily hot climate but they had a beautiful spa with steam, sauna, ice room, relaxation rooms etc. Some areas to improve: Internet: The internet is fast when you get on but every time you close your laptop or your phone disconnects you are asked to go through this 4 step sign-in process. If you use a VPN, you have to turn it off, then connect then on again. It's honestly very painful and extremely unnecessary. Even the Holiday Inn has this figured out. Garden Suites: I'm noise sensitive but some of the garden suites are under the dining patio. This means (in spite of them trying very hard to avoid it for me) that you'll hear people walking above you until midnight. That beings said, the private garden walk out was the highlight of the room. It was worth the trade off even for someone who is easily annoyed by this sort of thing. Water: It feels a constant struggle at high end hotels to get enough cold water. You end up hoarding it. These are all minor. My family of 9 all agreed it was one of most beautiful hotels we've stayed at.
This hotel sets the standard of excellence!!! Amazing staff, stunning views, the best of the best amenities, perfect location, food is outstanding, room service provided everything you could ask for, the hotel staff was at your beck and call, helped with directions, taxis, questions, reservations- you name it, they provided it! Family owned for generations and it showed!! Absolutely stunning! I can’t believe I actually got to stay here! Wonderful!!
A very proudly owned family hotel where service and detail is everything. Bravo.
5 star dining experience was disappointing
We’ve been to a number of nice hotels but this was by far the best service we’ve ever encountered. Everyone from the front desk, to the cleaning people, to the yard workers were friendly and said hello. There was always an intent to go above and beyond. And that’s before we get to the grounds and the rooms. The spa is fantastic and the restaurant is extraordinary. Totally worth the stop.

We came for our anniversary and our stay was just fantastic. The dinner, breakfast and arrival complimentary drinks were all great. The scenery was so gorgeous and walkable to town. But what was so special was all the staff. They were so friendly and helpful. Drivers were available anytime and added to our special treatment.

Fantastic location Amazing beautiful hotel Very friendly and courteous staff
There was a machine noise that happened frequently in the background Not sure if it was the elevator? It was loud so a bit interrupted interference
My husband, myself & our 11 year old son had the absolute pleasure of staying for 3 nights in the 2 story suite at the Belvedere. It was the perfect place all around. Our room was spacious, clean & the view was stunning. The grounds of the hotel were gorgeous, the pool was fabulous & the restaurants were excellent. We really enjoyed our daily breakfasts and the lunch was so good, we had to go twice. We were even able to celebrate my mother's 77th birthday there and the chef was kind enough to make her a delicious & beautiful cake. In fact, we loved this place so much that we chose not to explore any other towns on Lake Como so that we could focus only on Bellagio and relaxing at the Belvedere. The location was quiet and was a very easy walk in to the center of town. Thank you to the staff for a memorable stay we will never forget!
La atención de todo el personal, especialmente de Mónica y Víctor Manuel. Las instalaciones son excelentes. Y las vistas inmejorables.
Location and friendly staff

Our stay was one of the most relaxing hotel experiences we’ve had in Italy. Perched above Lake Como with breathtaking panoramic views, the property feels peaceful and private while still being just a short walk from the heart of Bellagio. The rooms were elegant, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, and waking up each morning to the lake and mountains was unforgettable. The hotel’s beautiful setting and warm, attentive service, truly makes you feel welcomed from the moment you arrive. One of the highlights was the hotel’s wellness facilities. The heated outdoor pool and panoramic hot tub overlooking the lake were perfect for unwinding after exploring town, and the spa area offered a sauna, Turkish bath, and relaxing treatments that made it easy to fully recharge. The gym, spa, and wellness areas was a standout part of the experience, creating a peaceful retreat that truly balanced travel with relaxation. What truly elevated the experience was the hospitality. The staff were consistently friendly, professional, and eager to help with recommendations, reservations, and local tips. Combined with the excellent breakfast, beautifully landscaped gardens, and stunning lake views from nearly every corner of the property, it’s easy to see why this hotel is so highly rated by travelers. If you’re visiting Lake Como and looking for a place that blends luxury, wellness, and authentic Italian hospitality, Hotel Belvedere is a wonderful choice.

We have not stayed at this hotel yet, but my correspondence with them this week (n December 2025) while making our summer reservations for 2026 has been so wonderful! They show hospitality second to none even through email! I am so impressed how helpful and kind (and patient) they have been with me in email as I reserved 2 rooms for our family and had questions regarding which rooms to stay. I already feel connected with this helpful staff and I have not even stayed there yet. I have a feeling we are headed for a very special stay in Lake Como and already glad we chose this hotel!
Lovely staff, we’re very kind to me and my family on our visit earlier in October. Location is great, just outside the bustle of the town but an easy walk in. Beautiful views of the lake
A rating of Excellent just doesn't adequately describe our stay at the Hotel Belvedere. We've been fortunate enough to stay in several very nice hotels around the world, but nothing compares to the Hotel Belvedere in Bellagio! The entire resort is quite amazing...everything is updated, the spa is quite incredible (complimentary steam room, sauna, ice room, Himalayan salt room, and more, with many other priced spa services), the rooms are beautiful and spacious, the view of Lake Como is second to none, and the complimentary breakfast is out of this world - fresh everything!...and all within a short walk to downtown Bellagio for great food and shopping. But what really makes Hotel Belvedere unique and awesome is the staff...never have I experienced a group of genuine, friendly, helpful, and generous professionals like those of Hotel Belvedere. Apparently mentioning specific people is frowned upon in a review, so to the restaurant and pool servers, the bartenders, front desk, and concierge teams, you are wonderful and YOU made our stay a treasure to remember! I could go on raving about the Hotel Belvedere, but I think you get the point...the absolute BEST hotel ever, and we will always treasure the memories of our nine-day visit with you! See you again soon.
I visited the Hotel Belvedere with my mother at the beginning of October 2025. It was a magical experience. The staff became friendly faces I saw everyday who catered to and followed up with our every need. The property was so beautiful. The breakfast buffet was out of this world and it all overlooked lake como with breathtaking views. The shuttle into town was so helpful to my mom when she couldn’t walk. I had a lovely massage as well! I can’t say enough about the concierge desk and all the people who helped us arrange transport and reservations . This is a must stay place when in Bellagio. The rooms and bathrooms are modern, renovated and beautiful and overlook the water. Only 5-10 min walk into town if you don’t take the shuttle. We are so grateful to have found this hotel!!!
Gorgeous property, stunning view, huge balcony, great staff, and excellent breakfast! Very family-friendly hotel while also feeling upscale. My toddler loved hanging on the balcony and swimming in the pool. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and you can tell they also love kids. You can’t tell from Google maps but the hotel is easy walking distance to main village, ferry and restaurants. It was a perfect location because it was very peaceful and quiet, but super easy to walk the hustle and bustle where the tourists are. Would definitely stay here again, highly recommend!
Room was a little small for 3 of us ( we had a crib) but we made it work. We hung out on the large balcony or we were out sightseeing so wasn’t a huge issue.
La localisation permet de marcher tout Bellagio. Le transfert inclus à partir et vers le ferry. Les déjeuners inclus étaient variés et très bons. La vue de cet hôtel sur le Lac de Côme est magnifique. Les installations valent le déplacement.

Best hotel and location at Bellagio. This hotel is located in a quiet area but only a 5 minute walk to the hustle and bustle of town. The staff offered 5 star service and were extremely helpful with restaurant recommendations. They arranged for a romantic private boat trip and transportation to and from the airport. The spa was the best part of this hotel! It was complimentary and by far one of the best that I have been to.
5 stars is not enough for this wonderful hotel. The staff top level in service and helpfulness and politeness.
This hotel was simply beautiful and modern with the best service staff and delectable breakfast brunch. Whatever we needed the staff was there to help us with whether it was temperature or transport or reservations. They welcomed us home with open arms and always were so kind and courteous to us. I would HIGHLY recommend you stay here -5 minute walk into town and nice to be away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to access when you want. The shuttle was awesome too when you don’t feel like walking. Bellagio was also the best town in which to stay and town was very vibrant . We loved hotel Belvedere and hope you do too!!!
Incredible hotel. Hard to imagine a better experience than what we had. 10/10!!
Amazing location & views over the lake . Easy access on foot to city centre.
Needs much better internet . Especially in room I was in . Room 604.
the view was exceptional
the shower leaked onto the floor a little in room 402
The service was impeccable. Staff was attentive and courteous at all times. Gym and spa areas were amazing and well kept. Can’t say enough good things
We spent two nights at Hotel Belvedere Bellagio in early October — myself, my wife, and our daughter — and our experience was nothing short of memorable. From the very beginning, the communications with the Concierge were excellent: helpful, professional, and always prompt. They assisted us with arranging private round-trip transfers from Milan Lambrate (where we arrived by Nightjet from Vienna) to the hotel, and later to Milan Centrale. Both transfers were smooth, and we were fortunate to have the same excellent driver, Davide, on both journeys. They also secured for us a Venetian motor boat tour, led by a young and charismatic captain who proved to be a terrific guide to the famous lakeside villas, as well as a dinner reservation at Albori. Our arrival was on a rainy, cold Saturday morning, yet the warmth of the hotel staff immediately offset the weather. The receptionist welcomed us into the library to wait comfortably until our room was ready, and provided refreshments and hot cappuccino — a gesture that felt both considerate and personal. Suite 127, “Lucia,” exceeded expectations. It was spacious, spotless, and well equipped. A handwritten welcome note on the dining table was a thoughtful touch. With three of us traveling together, being able to choose our own rooms within the suite felt both homey and dignified. The toiletries (Ortigia by La Bottega) had a subtle fragrance I greatly appreciated. On the second morning, as the sun streamed through the balcony doors, the room felt almost ethereal. The Concierge’s foresight also deserves mention: because of the weather, they suggested moving our boat tour to the next afternoon at 4:30pm. That decision was perfect — the day was sunny, the timing allowed us to enjoy dinner without hurry, and the lake shone under golden light, touched by a charming breeze, a clear and special aquatic flavor, the verdant hills rising around us, and in the distance the somewhat remote Alps with snowy tops. Dining was another highlight. On our first evening, we ate at Albori inside the property. We each chose different dishes: the tagliolini was creamy yet light, the quaglia tender and well flavored — all truly impressive Sardinian cuisine. Breakfast, too, was delightful: a generous continental spread, highlighted by a colorful and tasty assortment of fresh fruit. Hotel Belvedere combines attentive professionalism with a warm, homelike atmosphere. The staff’s thoughtful gestures, the quality of the suite, and the beauty of the setting all contributed to a stay that felt both comfortable and distinguished. We left with gratitude — and with the wish to return one day.
Belvedere is an elegant hotel with a modern touch! Though our room was a bit small (310), it was perfectly comfortable and clean, with french doors and a little "Juliet" balcony that overlooked the pool, Lake Como, and the mountains beyond. The bathroom was just fine (more french doors) and very modern shower with lights and sprays. The hotel is quiet and a bit tucked away on a hill with a short walk to the center of Belliago, to catch a boat, dine, and shop! Breakfast was a simple but adequate buffet and eggs made to order. We did not dine in the hotel restaurant other than breakfast, but I was told it was quite good. Staff is professional and personable, especially Victor Manuel, who made us feel very welcome. I will return!
High end property. Nice pool, jacuzzi and view
I LOVE this hotel. Bellagio is very pretty but very crowded, and having this beautiful, peaceful and gracious hotel to return to is a joy. The rooms are lovely and there are so many thoughtful touches, the shuttle collection from the ferry, help with restaurant bookings, small snacks, water, little notes of welcome and gorgeous toiletries. Comfortable beds, quality linens, and that view. It’s spectacular. The gardens are immaculate and if you turn your head to the left from the terrace and gaze towards the lake you’ll see a perfectly planted golden ash tree that can’t help but make you smile. Spend some time in the exceptionally well equipped spa area, and plan to waste time in the infinity spa pool looking over the lake. Have a Hugo and relax. It’s perfection. Don’t miss the amazing omelets as a part of the delicious breakfast, it’s simply wonderful. But the real stand out? The staff. Everyone is happy, everyone is professional and couldn’t be more helpful. The sign of a very well run hotel is when the staff seem happy to be working there. My absolute favourite place. A proper family owned but expertly run haven in the bustle of Lake Como. Don’t miss this.
It was beautiful and loved the natural wood in the rooms and hotel
I loved Bellagio. We stayed in the older part of the hotel and weren’t aware there was no elevator or heater.
Fabulous hotel in the perfect location. The grounds and building are stunning. Beautiful pool with a beach area. Wonderful breakfast and fun piano bar. The rooms are nice and clean and a little on the small side, but nothing over the top like the property.
We stayed three nights in room 505. If you don’t want to hear lots of noise from the outdoor dining terrace directly above your room, avoid rooms 505-508. In our room, the Wi-Fi signal was very weak. The shower leaked past its glass partition so much that we used two bath mats to absorb all the water each time we showered. Now for the good: the facility, grounds, views and staff are wonderful. It’s a short, easy walk into Bellagio. When we told them about the late night noise from the terrace, they offered to move us to a different room (we were obviously not the first guests to bring this to their attention). We would stay at the Belvedere again, just not in 505.
One of the nicest views in Lake Como region is right outside your hotel room. The Pool area and areas for outside seating near the pool are perfect spots to spend time in the late afternoon as you head into the golden hour. The staff is all professional, friendly and helpful. Service to the room is excellent and the restaurant is also outstanding, Michelin quality food and service. The Spa, Workout facilities and everything else compares favorably to any Five star hotel we've stayed in, in Italy or otherwise. A short 10 minute walk to the heart of the Bellagio tourist region puts your right close to the action
We stayed for a week for our 30th wedding anniversary and we had the most amazing time. It was simply perfect. Everyone was helpful and going out of their way to ensure we were having a wonderful time. Breakfast was superb and late night drinks were something to look forward to each day.
The view from the hotel was outstanding and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We loved the spa, and spent a lot of time using the facilities in between exploring the area. Our room had 2 floors and 2 bathrooms, which was great. The room decor was a little sparse and the style was very minimal. That's the only area for improvement in an otherwise wonderful hotel.
Will stay again - loved absolutely everything about this property.
This is an outstanding hotel in a stunning location above the lake. Our room with small terrace and lake view was a good size with a very large, beautifully appointed en suite. Hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff, without exception are welcoming and helpful. The grounds, overlooking the lake, are beautifully maintained as is the pool area. Excellent breakfasts in a stylish dining room with lake views. Centre of Bellagio is a 10 minute walk downhill and a shuttle to and from the town centre is available on demand - an invaluable service when caught in the town in a thunderstorm as we were one evening! The owners and staff clearly take a pride in offering a top class service - I can recommend it without reservation
Top notch luxury hotel. Every need was taken care of. The views are amazing and the spa was exactly what we needed.
Amazing location. Rooms are beautiful. Close to town
Hotel Belvedere was pure luxury. We splurge for the larger room with lake view and it was worth every penny. We spent lots of time on the balcony in the morning and after a night out. Room was very large and clean. Bathroom very large. They provide robes and slippers and good toiletries. Breakfast was delicious. Great location and short walk to town. All staff were very nice we did 3 nights in Bellagio then 3 nights in Lugano and 2 nights in Milan. We did day trip via ferry to Verenna too. I highly recommend this hotel! Get the room with the water views!
The Belvedere is a wonderful hotel on the edge of Bellagio. We could only get an essential room but were pleasantly surprised by the size and quality of the room- it isn’t essential. Large comfortable bed, excellent shower and good soundproofing. The reception and bar area is small but most people eat and drink on the terrace overlooking the lake which is relaxed and beautiful. The only criticism is the food costs a lot -but it is Lake Como! Breakfast was the best we had with eggs to order and a great buffet. Staff are friendly and go the extra mile. It is an easy walk into Bellagio ( a slightly harder one back up the hill). Overall would go back and a wonderful hotel.
Beautiful
We spent five marvelous nights at the hotel. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we were happy. Breakfast was delicious. The location is fantastic—quiet and right on the lake with amazing views—yet still within walking distance to shops and cafés. Truly an incredible, luxurious experience. We can’t wait to go back!
Excellent position to walk. Beautiful views and pool area. Staff very helpful making great suggestions for restaurants. Loved our stay and will be recommending to everyone.
