Very pretty. Room was very nice, bed comfortable, good shower water pressure. Did not use the balcony as they treat the bugs and I didn’t want to chance them getting inside. Nice view

Having to get a buggy to get everywhere, since it was rainy we didn’t walk it but several times we left and forgot to call first. It’s would have been a decent walk to the buffet and longer to the lobby. Buffet was typical , IDA was very helpful , Don was helpful . Can’t walk to town, have to get a taxi . Hallways to rooms could be slippery with all the rain

The private beach is clean and beautiful, with gorgeous sunsets. The hotel is quite isolated, and there isn’t much around. The nearest restaurants and 7-Eleven are about a 10-minute walk outside the hotel. The dinner at the hotel was not very good, especially considering the price. On top of that, there is an additional 7% VAT and 10% service charge. The rooms are beautiful, with great views. The hotel is surrounded by mountains and the sea, and the whole property feels like a beautiful garden. The swimming pools are very well designed, with a water slide area, a diving area, and pools of different depths. The kids absolutely loved them. There are plenty of activities for both adults and children, so you can easily spend your entire vacation at the hotel without needing to go anywhere else. The breakfast is excellent and has a great variety of food. There are many choices for Chinese food, around 8–10 different kinds of fruit, as well as milkshakes and Thai milk tea. The croissants and desserts are freshly baked and delicious. The Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel and the signal is quite good. The kids’ club has a PS5, and the staff can look after the children, which is very convenient for parents. A couple of small things could be improved: opening and closing the louvered blinds every day is quite time-consuming, and the 11:00 a.m. check-out time feels a little too early. Overall, if you’re looking for a relaxing resort holiday and don’t mind staying away from the surrounding area, this is a great place to stay.

Proximity to the beach was a big plus and pools were amazing, Kids club was also nice and the staff was good.

Standing in line for breakfast is NOT a 5-star experience. Especially with kids! Come 9-10 and you stand waiting outside. Insane.

Die Lage ist ausgezeichnet. Im Prinzip Privatstrand und insbesondere das ausbleiben von Liegen direkt am Strand, macht das ganze so wundervoll. Drüben in Karon sieht es dann schon wesentlich voller aus mit Liege an Liege. Aufgrund der Nebensaison im August war es nicht voll und in der Tat - das Meer ist nicht ruhig. Was dem ganzen aber nicht schadet und mit der weitläufigen Poolanlage samt Lazy River, Wasserrutschen und Sprungbereich mehr als ausgeglichen wird. Wer nicht bis rüber ins Zentrum von Karon laufen möchte nimmt nen Grap. Auch entspannt und keiner Kritik wert. Die Preise für das Essen im Restaurant sind angemessen. Für uns war dieses Resort ideal. Das Resort hat natürlich einige Jahre hinter sich aber das führt nicht zu einer Abwertung der gesamten Anlgae. Wer Hochglanz wünscht, der muss auch bereit sein Hochglanz zu zahlen. Wir waren und sind zufrieden.

Abreise hat nicht ganz entspannt funktioniert. Dennoch waren wir pünktlich am Flughafen. Auf meine Nachfrage per Mail wurde prompt und ausführlich geantwortet. Sodass Kritik nach meiner Auffassung auch ernstgenommen wird. Regeln im Hotel könnten mit etwas mehr Nachdruck durchgesetzt werden.

The property was so beautiful, so serene and vast with so many amenities. It was easy to get lost sometimes but beautiful nonetheless.

It was a bit difficult to get between the buildings and understand the property during a short stay.

Room a but outdated.

Absolute beachfront location was beautiful. Much cleaner and picturesque beach than Patong. Easy to catch a taxi or tuk tuk into Patong Beach for night life and restaurants. Pool area and lazy river were great fun. A couple of good restaurant options on site also.

Rooms and general areas are getting a little tired. Perfectly fine but no wow factor. Feel like a thorough pressure wash of paths and balconies would make the resort feel much fresher. However, main pool area appears to have been renovated and freshened up in recent years.

The children really enjoyed the swimming pool and the water slides. This was definitely the highlight of our stay.

The hotel is quite old and outdated, and there was a strong musty smell throughout the property, including inside our room. We also had a lot of ants in the room. There are no sun loungers on the beach, which was disappointing. The hotel is also quite isolated, so you need to take a taxi whenever you want to go anywhere. There is practically nothing within walking distance.

It’s a very beautiful resort surrounded by trees the beach is one of the most amazing beaches I’ve ever been to the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The kids club was awful the AC wasn’t working it was hot they didn’t have many activities there and the staff weren’t very welcoming. The pool had many broken tiles. The breakfast wasn’t that great no air conditioning.

Everything about the hotel with breakfast, beds, food, facilities and staff was excellent! Large area with swimmingpool that is stunning.

We stayed here for 5 days in August. The hotels location is not the best if you want to go sightseeing or to get close to markets etc. The beach was not very clean, and during the 5 days we stayed here, we could not go for a swim on the beach due to high waves.

Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend this hotel. The staff were very friendly, polite, and helpful. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with an amazing variety of food. A few things need improvement. The pool floor was very rough and scraped our feet, there were sharp edges on some pool steps, and the pool bar stools were too high and uncomfortable. The reception and lobby were also too warm. Considering Phuket’s hot weather, these areas should be much better air-conditioned. When the hotel became busy, the overall hotel service became noticeably slower. Overall, it’s a good hotel with excellent staff and a fantastic breakfast. Improving these construction, design, and comfort issues would make it an outstanding resort.

Stunning resort, ideal for families. Beautiful beach. Lots of activities in the pool suitable kids - my kids particularly liked trying the underwater scooter. The kids club was fantastic with lots of fun activities for all kids ages. The ladies, who worked there, were great. The app was efficient to use. We loved the main restaurant for dinner, especially at sunset. The buffet breakfast was amazing

The hotel is a bit dated. Check in took a while - they muddled up our room and told us it was ready when it wasn't.

There was nothing not to like

The property is good and everything close to each other. I like to spa which Amazing staff and professionals.

The staff were not able to serve us in a professional way because once we asked them to help us immediately they responded wait which I saw them they were doing nothing. Once I asked one of them, he said we are only 2 staff.

The maintenance work was on from 08:00 am. Reception staff rude and not friendly AC very hot

we had several rooms, tv's didn't work at night, air con leaked on marble floor making it slippery. shower head didn't work. balcony door very difficult to open & then lock. restaurant was very expensive.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel, but what truly made our experience special was the amazing staff. A very special thank you to Ray from the in-room dining department. I honestly don’t know when this man rests! Every single time I went somewhere, he was there working — during breakfast, at dinner, and even late in the evening when we returned from excursions. Despite working so hard and seemingly all day long, he was always smiling, always welcoming, and genuinely happy to see me and my son. What touched me the most was how kind and sincere he was with my family. He remembered my son’s name, always stopped for a small chat, and made us feel truly cared for. You can immediately see that he has a genuinely warm personality and a very kind heart — not something forced or “just part of the job.” People like Ray are rare, and he absolutely deserves recognition and a pay rise for the incredible work he does. Also, a lovely thank you to Ida from the restaurant. She was incredibly charming, warm, and attentive throughout our stay. Her positive energy made every visit to the restaurant even more enjoyable. Thank you for making our holiday so memorable!

The villa and the resort was amazing, very clean and manicured, gardens were beautiful and having access to the beach was so nice.

The only thing was the price of the food was very expensive, we would have eaten at the resort more if the the price was lower and if there were more traditional Thai food options

Very slow in all activities, not proactive

The pool area was very nice, with many "corners" where you can have a semblance of privacy. The hotel was on the beach which was what we wanted. The room was comfortable.

Although the room was clean, the fittings in the room such as the water taps and switches was dated and could do with a refurbishment.

The kids pool and play room were good well maintained.

Balconies were never cleaned by housekeeping. The jacuzzi could not be used for that reason.

Breakfast and evening food in hotel limited options. Far to main Karon resort, used taxis and tuk tuks to get into town. Plus side is hotel beach quieter. Food and drink prices literally 3 times more expensive than average restaurant bar price. Not many people using pool bar, because they have outpriced themselves. Drop the price and will sell a lot more. No shop on site, and far from a 7 eleven. For snacks/supplies etc. Balcony chairs strange and uncomfortable.

Les longs (interminables) corridors à parcourir pour sortir de la chambre et se rendre au restaurant. Les longs escaliers extérieurs à descendre et remonter. Nous étions dans l’édifice 3. Aucun endroit ombragé dans les deux piscines. Peu de choix de restaurants. La nécessité de faire le grand tour pour pouvoir enfin entrer dans le restaurant. Les serviettes sont raides et rudes pour des peaux sensibles. Il n’y a aucun service de navette pour nous permettre d’explorer les alentours. Le pire est arrivé juste avant de partir quand on nous a présenté une facture indiquant frais de taxi pour venir de l’aéroport et pour retourner à l’aéroport. Nous n’avions pas utilisé Grand Centara pour réserver notre taxi à l’arrivée. Pour repartir, nous avions déjà payé les frais et on nous demandait de payer encore !!!

The only thing that saves this hotel is the fact is it on Karon beach.

Poor communication on check in. Lack of understanding regarding deposit and issues with payments. The deposit has still not been returned to the account even after 17 days of leaving the facility. This was never communicated at the time it was taken. Poor cleaning in the rooms and breakfast choices. Extremely expensive for what it is. Food and drinks are almost quadruple what you pay in local near by restaurants.

First time here and never again!!

Hotel was fabulous. Rooms were big and spacious. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and communication prior to arrival was excellent. Breakfast was a great selection of food.

Hotel bar and restaurant prices are fairly steep. Hotel entertainment in the daytime around the pool was very limited and trivial. Would have been nice to have some music around the pool.

The resort is absolutely stunning and situated in a fantastic location. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful—they truly go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. A special shout-out to Ray and Chalin :) for their incredible hospitality! The overall atmosphere of the resort and its proximity to the beautiful beach are wonderful.

The only downside is that Karon Beach itself can get very crowded. Since it's a popular public area, it feels overpopulated at times compared to the peaceful vibe inside the resort.

Our stay at the Centara Grand was wonderful. The resort itself is beautiful and perfectly located. What truly made it special was the exceptionally friendly and helpful staff—a huge thank you to Ray and Chalin for their amazing hospitality! While the public Karon Beach in front of the hotel can be quite crowded, the resort remains a fantastic tropical getaway. Highly recommended!

Took our family 10 adults and 9 grandchildren (all under 12) for a week during Songkran Magnificent set up for kids and families Great dining options as well as the local restaurant on the beach which was great Outdoor area with lazy river, multiple giant slides, a jumping off cliff into the pool, kids' playroom and pool table were ideal for entertaining Rooms were generous with ocean views, and the restaurants were excellent with multiple choices of where to eat It's on the beach which is brilliant as its the only one i the area with no hawkers Shuttle to town is 5 minutes with lots of shopping and dining Can't recommend this resort enough

Quite far from the airport

Extremely wonderful resort for us to stay for a week. It was fantastic service, clean room and good food quality. Pine and Kwan were outstanding and always say hi to us. Spa was super relax and 5* service. We absolutely will recommend this resort to our friends.

Das Centara Grand Beach Resort liegt sehr schön am Karon Beach und zentral zur Stadt Karon. Mit dem Taxi oder TukTuk in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Die Zimmer sind sauber und die Betten überaus gemütlich. Die Zimmer werden täglich gereinigt und die Handtücher getauscht. Wasser steht in Glasflaschen gratis im Zimmer zur Verfügung. Der Garten ist sehr gepflegt und tropisch angelegt. Die Poolanlage sehr sauber und einladend. Hervorheben möchte ich den tollen Service. Das ganze Personal ist durch und durch mega freundlich und zuvorkommend. Aber einen Angestellten möchten wir besonders danken und hervorheben. Sein Name ist Dwika. Er ist so fleissig, sehr gründlich, immer freundlich und kümmert sich besonders gut um die Reinigung der Zimmer und somit auch um die Zufriedenheit der Gäste. Er ist einer der besten Angestellten vom Hotel. Hoffentlich sehen wir ihn nächstes Jahr wieder. Dwika sorgt für 100% Zufriedenheit und Wohlfühlatmosphäre. Vielen Dank für diese schöne Zeit. Das Hotel ist zwar im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels im Preis etwas zu teuer, aber dafür bekommt man auch einen tollen Service und Sauberkeit. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub in diesem Hotel und können es zu 100% weiterempfehlen.

Beautiful clean hotel with a lush environment and flora. The pool area is also well kept and relatively peaceful. The beach is right next to it, so you can just change between them if you feel like it. The hotel also offers a lot of activities, such as yoga, painting and cooking! Rooms are nice and spacey enough. Air conditioning works to the point where it got a bit cold during the night. Not complaining, though. My only complaint is that you need to take a ride to get to town. Or walk 15 min(ish) along the beach! Exquisite breakfast options with a lot of variety. (From eggs and bacon to Indian food and local Thai cousine.) You can also order food straight to your room with a qr-code/app, which we found very useful! Lovely service. Staff is very polite and friendly <33 (shoutout to Sam, who brought us pasta to our rooms)

We had a wonderful stay for 9 nights and found the hotel team to be very welcoming and helpful during our stay. The hotel is located in Karon with easy access to the beach, which is unique in the local area. Breakfast is from 6 til 10:30 but can be busy at peak times, so plan accordingly. Food on offer changes per day but many thanks stay consistent, Live Egg station, salads, cereals, cheeses etc But the Thai food varies from day to day, and we liked it, remember this is a buffet service dining experience AM. We dined in a couple of times, and the food is good, it’s typical hotel delivery and quality. Rooms- we had one with the mini plunge type pool, which we liked, sunbathing on your balcony and opportunity to get cool quickly highly recommended. The hotel and rooms are good, but as with any buildings of an age, there are cracks and imperfections when you look closely. But don’t let that put you off, as we read similar comments and when arriving we went, this absolutely fine as a hotel and good location. If we were wishing to stay in this area of Phuket again, we would seriously consider staying here again. Little highlights - pools and sun loungers loads of, (but beware they are old and no support), Spa team - great, the lazy river, jump on the rubber rings and travel around the river, simple but enjoyable, if you wish to go into town this costs around 200bth.. I hope the above helps, but do your research and view other people’s quotes

Great holiday in Karon. Beautiful beach and superb sunset vibes. Room on 4th floor was absolutely stunning and nice weather. Warm and friendly staffs who always willing to assist you anything you wish especially Army & Miew at front desk.

Stranda var fin og nær, med få folk. Nærme til alt. Hotellet er nydelig og personalet er hyggelig.

Romen var ikke alltid vasket som forventet - det kommer mye sand fra stranden og det var ikke alltid godt nok støvsuget. Der er også helt ok buffet.

To much activity

We had such an amazing experience with the Kids Club – truly the best one we’ve ever visited. From the moment we arrived, the staff made our children feel safe, welcome, and genuinely excited to be there. A very special thank you to May, Pang, Kwan, and Mon – they were absolutely outstanding. Their warmth, energy, and attentiveness went far beyond our expectations. They took incredible care of our children, engaging them in fun activities while also making sure they felt comfortable and happy at all times. It gave us, as parents, real peace of mind knowing our kids were in such capable and caring hands. Our children absolutely loved every moment and couldn’t wait to go back each day. Not the first time in Centara outlet stayed in pattaya as well before... as usual no complaints excellenet place tonstay the staff is so helpful and always smiling.... service is A1.... the staff in the bugget and the resturant the cove were vere nice.... only one complaint the doors in the bathroom dont lock for some reason.... funny part of the vacation specially if u r travelling with kids.... Orher than that no issues
