Had a fabulous stay at this resort and hope to one day go back. The highlights for us were the friendly staff, substantial buffet breakfast, onsite restaurants, the pools and swim up bars. Although a short walk to the beach this resort is worth it. For those needing it, there are shuttles to the beach and also around the resort. 130% recommend this resort.

278257 It’s my second time at Mandarava , great location just a short walk into town and to the night market. Staff are always happy and obliging. Rooms are lovely and clean. Bed is a bit hard for me. But that’s all a preference. I have found the food really good at all restaurants and pool bars. I have read some negative reviews here and I simply think the people are very needy. . We did the Thai cooking class that was fun. And we are going to do the thai dyeing thing also today. I can’t believe that people book a place built on a hill and then complain about hills and stairs. ‍️ Great spot all tremendous.

מלון מדהים, שקט, רגוע. ממש פינה של שפיות ושקט בטירוף של פוקט. חדרים ברמה, נקיים ומסודרים. צוות אדיב ושירותי מאוד. יש כמה בריכות במלון עם בר בתוך המים, לנו הייתה אחת מתחת לחדר אז לא השתמשנו באחרות כי הייתה מעולה. ארוחת בוקר מצויינת ומגוונת עם הנוף הכי יפה באי. מי שלא מחפש לישון בהמולה של פאטונג זה המקום בשבילכם. יש אינסוף מוניות ואפליקציית בולט להגיע לכל מקום. היינו זוג עם 3 ילדים וזה מקום שאמליץ לחברים שלי.

The spa is surrounded by lush tropical gardens. The atmosphere was very relaxing. The treatment room was very clean and tidy. My 3.5hr treatment with Tik was amazing. She did a fantastic job

It was a truly incredible experience staying in this hotel. We loved the experiences and attractions the hotel offered, the overall vibe of this resort, and how clean and organized everything felt. We especially loved the workers and the service, and Mr Kris the tuk-tuk driver in particular. The spa at Mandarava Hotel is really good. I had a massage from Apple, and it was so relaxing.

Pool access rooms!, cleanliness, helpful staff, shuttle service, environment was peaceful!

The roads are pretty steep inside the resort means you can’t walk so you have to use shuttle For breakfast, you have to leave stroller below the restaurant because no elevator to restaurant floor! Breakfast options are very limited for the price charged!

We were very pleased with our 5 day stay here. The property is beautiful and well maintained. Rooms were very nice and spacious. Pools are very nice and located throughout the beautiful tropical gardens. Food was good at restaurants. Lots of choices at breakfast. Drinks were a little over priced but it is a resort. Lastly, the staff were amazing. From the front desk to the grounds keeper everyone greeted you with a warm smile. Would definitely return to this hotel.

I extremely enjoyed my 3 nights staying here with my husband. The room was spacious and the ambience was good. Room was very clean and air conditioning was very strong. We almost stayed in the room throughout and refused to go out. I like the fact that the hotel was also particular in small detail such as the whole room smells very good until I found out it’s because of the curtain.

The resort is beautiful and cheerful ✨, with a pleasant atmosphere and a lovely view. Overall, it was a nice and relaxing place to stay.

The air conditioning is not central, so the air can blow strongly and directly while sleeping, which may be uncomfortable. Also, there is a back-side window without a curtain, so the room gets bright in the morning. Some guests may like the natural morning light ☀️, but it can be a downside if you prefer full control of the room lighting.

The spa was amazing. Had separate treatments with Tik, Apple and Air during my stay and they were all brilliant. Would recommend !

The resort looked like the photos. Staff were excellent. I loved our room and how the bathroom a space where you could sit down to another mirror to do your makeup.

The location was a bit far from other touristy things I wanted to do. Karon beach was not as nice as Kamala beach.

Mandarava's refusal to issue an invoice for a completed stay is one of the most unprofessional customer service experiences I have encountered. In all my years of traveling, no other hotel has ever refused to provide an invoice upon request. This behavior raises serious concerns about transparency, customer care, and compliance with basic business practices. Guests should not have to argue or repeatedly follow up to obtain a simple invoice for services they have already paid for. Such treatment shows a complete disregard for customer needs and leaves a very negative impression of the hotel. I cannot recommend a property that fails to meet such a fundamental and universally expected obligation.

Many different pools . Great rooms. Lovely staff . Its on a steep hill but they have electric vehicles that zip you up and down whenever you needed them . Loved how drivers learnt you room numbers from day 1.

While great breakfast could have been better. Could have some entertainment in the evenings.

Researched a bunch of places but glad we wound up selecting Mandarava. - Property was well kept - Staff very friendly, helpful & responsive - The room was really top notch, very vibey bathroom & mini pool - It is a mountainous property and whilst you can walk the hotel offers an on demand buggy across the many pools, restaurants etc and we found it was really quick and super effective - 10 mins walk from Karon beach but there’s shuttles across the day - 10-15 min grab to Patong, Jungceylon etc Was very pleased with the property and would definitely revisit

Quiet location, nice hotel with wide rooms and good view to the pool, for people who are searching for less crowded pools and relaxing time. Nice experience in the jungle, flowers and trees around you makes you feel in the jungle.

Everything, especially staff

Hotel was amazing. Pure luxury. Staff couldn’t do enough for you and were so helpful. Rooms were outstanding and well equipped and fully air conditioned with a ceiling fan also for added comfort. Pools were all beautiful with each of the 5 pools having a swim up bar. View from our room was amazing - high enough to see the sea in the distance but surrounded by lush greenery. Would definitely recommend and 100% stay here again.

It is hilly, but we were expecting this and the shuttles to and from you room are there 24/7 if needed.

Loved it and will be back!  We stayed as a family in January 2026, with two teenagers. We did a lot of research to find somewhere in the Karon / Kata area, as we hadn’t been that far south in Phuket before, and landed on the Mandarava for several reasons – the reviews were very good, we loved the pictures of the gardens and pools and once we started emailing the resort for a quote etc, their customer service was top level!  We stayed in two Seafan Deluxe rooms, which we managed to book side by side.  Again, we did a lot of research on which rooms, as the resort has a lot of options.  We were very happy with our choice, based on the quality of the room and their location.  We asked for the hotel’s advice on room location, as we were looking for quiet, not too close to the pools and restaurants etc.  The Seafan  was nominated as matching what we needed, and it was spot on.  The rooms were very clean and were hugely spacious, probably one of the biggest rooms we have stayed in.  Our rooms had balconies that looked out onto the gardens, which again was peaceful.    It was only a short walk from our rooms to the main restaurant, gym and the Coconut Pool.  It must be highlighted like other reviews that the resort is very hilly and if you have any mobility issues, it would be a challenge to walk anywhere without a cart picking you up, which we saw happen a lot, as the resort has multiple small carts zipping around and picking up guests.  We enjoyed the hilly aspect, as being quite active we enjoyed the regular workout by walking anyway. We looked at all the pools and found the Coconut Pool to be our favourite.  It was relatively quiet; had a large number of sun lounges and the pool bar was pretty quiet all day, including happy hour.  Our favourite aspect was an afternoon swim to the section of the pool that provided views out to the ocean, while enjoying a happy hour drink.  We ate breakfast every morning in the main restaurant and as per the staff’s advice usually were at breakfast by about 8.30am, which allowed us to get a table with a view over Karon and the ocean.  It does get quite busy by 9-9.30am and be prepared to wait for a table.  The view from the restaurant was amazing and worth savouring.  We had dinner one night at the same restaurant and the food was good and enjoyed it.  We found a lot of guests go into Karon for dinner, which is obviously a cheaper option.  There are several small restaurants on the road leading to the resort, which we tried and were very happy with.  There are also a couple of laundrette options, that are very cheap and provided good service. We would recommend the Thai Buffet night at the main restaurant of the hotel, which is weekly.  The food was amazing and very plentiful.  We also strongly recommend the Charm Thai Restaurant for dinner.  We did this one night and sat outside with amazing views over the ocean.  It wasn’t cheap but the food and service were fantastic.  We also sampled the Cheeva Spa as a treat and were very impressed with the quality and staff.  It’s also not cheap, compared to the massage places on the entrance road, but the ambience is much better.  Overall, we would highly recommend the Mandarava as an option.  Staff were great and importantly for us, it was removed from the hustle and bustle of Karon, which was quite busy in January.  The gardens in the resort made it feel like you were emersed in nature, which we loved.  We ventured into Karon most days for shopping but were happy to get back to the Mandarava to again relax and decompress.  When we go back, we’ll probably again look at Seafan rooms, but maybe closer (and up the hill) towards the gym and Coconut Pool.  From what we could see these rooms have amazing views of the ocean from their balconies.

The lush green trees, the sound of nature, the friendly and always smiling personnel is what made our stay great.

My Cheeva massage given by Apple was excellent. I was experiencing some vertigo and allergy symptoms and after the massage I felt so much better. Apple applied the right amount of pressure and focused on areas that needed extra TLC. I highly recommend visiting the spa more than once if you can.

The people were warm, kind, and considerate. Airport transportation back and forth made everything smooth. Overall, the room and facilities felt a little dated… maybe that is expected as it’s very immersed with nature and the jungle, so I won’t be super critical. If your room happens to be in a very far back part of the resort, you have to take a shuttle back and forth which can be a bit of a hassle. Didn’t get a chance to try the pools, food, or much of anything else, so I cannot comment on it.

The Mandarava resort and spa was the perfect place to stay for a first time visit to Phuket, the staff were attentive and very helpful. Throughout our stay they remembered the small details like our room number and our plans for our trip, they gave excellent recommendations and the highlight of the stay was the cocktail making class with Toey and Maew. Facilities were amazing and the food was incredible. We will be coming back for our next stay.

Excellent massage of Milky and Air

Beautify property nestled in what feels like a rain forest/botanical garden.. spacious rooms and fairly priced.. However… the hotel is built into a mountain side, it is practically impossible to get around the property by foot.. Unless you are a mountaineer and don’t mind climbing mountains in 90-100 degree weather with 80%+ humidity.. While they provide shuttles to get around, which are plentiful and quick to arrive, having to call for a shuttle each time you want to go to the lobby, breakfast, pool, or if you forgot something in the room becomes tiring after a few times, especially if you are at the pool with no way to call for a shuttle.. The bigger problem though is, we paid for the private pool, however, having a pool in a forest, is a recipe for disaster.. sitting for just 15-20 minutes at the pool, we already each had at least 20 mosquito bites.. The whole private pool concept goes out the window if one cannot actually use it.. The bed wasn’t comfortable either, mattress, pillows, duvet, towels, everything was sub-standard for what one would expect for a supposed 5 star resort. The pool umbrellas, were just a tad bigger than the ones you get in a mai tai drink, never have I seen smaller shade umbrellas, So, sitting at the large pool which isn’t mosquito infested, wasn’t an option either, unless one likes the lobster look. So, in theory, could’ve been awesome, in reality, a few days of misery..
