Great location, pool and bar area :) the bedroom was a good size with a nice outdoor garden area. Bed was super comfy and the room was cleaned daily.

Shower cubicle needs a bit of updating and there are no tea/coffee facilities or fridge in the room.

I have very mixed feelings about this hotel. A fur coat no knickers feel. The location is perfect Parking available The grounds & ambience are very nice and plenty of outside terrace space and attention to detail on decor, ambience etc Good breakfast

However, we arrived late in the evening after a long drive, not the friendliest welcome. Our room was in the annexed building unfamiliar to us, we were handed a map and a key and the direction of the parking and a key code. First impressions are good but the carpets in the corridors are dirty, and we had questionably stains on our toilet wall and the wardrobe doors were filthy with dirt and finger prints. This room had been prepared to receive paying guests and someone deems this an acceptable standard. The rooms are pretty, well decorated and comfortable but fall short on cleanliness.

Very cozy room in terms of size toilet was not suitable for all shapes and sizes to put it politely. The decor in the room was very 1980s some very bold colour choices perhaps even 1970s

The property is location was outstanding. Don’t confuse the main property with the rooms to the rear of the property which are they less premium rooms and consequently more affordable.

This hotel is great. The staff are phenomenal and the location is spot on.

The hotel is across the road from the main hotel, the bedrooms are small, there are no drawers to put any clothes, some hanging space. The main lobby and corridors are shabby and could do with updating.

Pas de proposition d'aide pour monter les bagages malgré un escalier raide. impression d'être vraiment un client annexe, Impression heureusement un peu compensée par la suite avec un directeur à l'écoute.

L’hôtel se situe à 2 pas de la cité médiévale, ce que nous recherchions en optant pour cet hébergement. Le personnel est fort sympathique et souriant et les prestations proposées sont très bien.

The location was excellent. The short walk to the Carcassonne old town was very important to us as we had elderly people in our group. The pool was an added plus. Breakfast was very good and the staff was exceptional

Perfekte Lage direkt unterhalb des Stadteingangs. Nette kleine Poollandschaft, viele tolle Sitzmöglichkeiten im Schatten. Hauseigner Parkplatz ist günstiger als der öffentliche Parkplatz nebenan. Klimaanlage sehr leise.

Zimmer sehr eng und klein, Bett und Kissen ziemlich unbequem. Kein Kühlschrank im Zimmer.

The hotel is perfectly positioned for visiting the medieval city. The pool area was lovely and there were plenty of seating areas to relax in. The aircon worked well and the bed was comfortable.

The room didn’t have a kettle or fridge. It was also quite compact, especially the bathroom.

Posizione eccellente per visitare la cittadella. La struttura principale è molto bella, come una villa provenzale, e la piscina è davvero ottima (sono forniti anche i teli).

La nostra camera aveva un bagno molto piccolo.

Le personnel est absolument charmant et mérite d'être souligné. À notre arrivée, nous avons découvert une petite chambre sans extérieur, avec une tapisserie très abîmée. Étant de passage avec de grosses valises, nous avons immédiatement estimé qu'il nous serait difficile de passer deux nuits dans ces conditions. L'hôtel nous a alors proposé une autre chambre plus adaptée, mais avec un supplément tarifaire. Cependant, le rapport qualité-prix nous a laissés perplexes. Payer 200 € pour une chambre de 12 m² sans extérieur nous paraît assez élevé. Au final, notre séjour de deux nuits nous est revenu à plus de 700€, un tarif qui, selon nous, n'est pas justifié par les prestations proposées. Il est appréciable que les clients de l'Hôtel Montmorency et du Château bénéficient des mêmes avantages, notamment l'accès à la piscine. En revanche, celle-ci s'est rapidement transformée en aire de jeux pour les enfants. Les cris et l'agitation ont malheureusement compliqué les moments de détente, sans que certains parents semblent se soucier de la gêne occasionnée aux autres clients. En résumé, notre avis est mitigé. Le personnel est irréprochable et l'emplacement agréable, mais le prix élevé et le manque de tranquillité ne nous permettent pas de considérer que le séjour valait réellement la somme dépensée.

La habitación impecable, con una pequeña terraza en el jardin, muy agradable. El hôtel está ubicado al pie de la muralla, tiene jardines magníficos y una piscina muy agradable. El personal es muy amable y atento.

Perfect location

I feel this hotel is sold under false pretence by Booking com. It is sold showing the photos on the beautiful gardens, pool and patio area. However when you arrive you are given a key and key code to another building which is across the road. It is the Hotel Montmorency and the one in the photos is the Hotel Chateau which is 4 stars. While you are able to use its facilities, the actual building you are staying on has no facilities whatsoever. No staff, no drinks available. A fridge and a coffee machine in the room would have been nice. We upgraded to a larger room but it was very cramped so I cant imagine what the smaller rooms are like. When we asked fir an iron and ironing board we were told we had to come across the road and fetch it ourselves. When we said the safe wasnt working they didn't want to know. We left our room the morning after our first night as the cleaner arrived. That evening I discovered that my black dress which had been on the bed was missing. It was nowhere to be found. I told the receptionist thos and she said she would check. Her response was that rye cleaner did not remember seeing it. I said well a dress I had with me and remember seeing on the bed is now gone, but she didnt want to knoe. Made it sound like I was lying. Not good customer service at all.. Breakfast is not worth the money

I can only describe the Monmorency as "tired".....the Bathroom was so small, the Room decor "bad".....all needs re decorating in keeping with the modern day, Relaxing, minimalistic restful decor......

The Bath with taps you could not reach, the decor , dated, small dressing table. No kettle or fridge. No where to put your suit case..had to reach to the floor to unpack your clothes.

Esperienza pessima. Camere piccole, arredate con colori discutibili e soprattutto sporche, così come gli spazi comuni. Asciugamani e coperte erano macchiati e, nonostante le numerose richieste di sostituzione, continuavano a consegnarceli nelle stesse condizioni, sostenendo che fossero "solo macchie di lavanderia" o "ruggine". Per fare colazione abbiamo dovuto aspettare 40 minuti perché non c'erano abbastanza posti a sedere. Nel giardino della camera abbiamo trovato due uccellini morti, mentre tavolo e sedute esterne erano sporchi e pieni di formiche. La ciliegina sulla torta: nonostante tutte le segnalazioni, nessuna soluzione concreta e nemmeno un euro di sconto. Un servizio ben lontano dagli standard che una struttura di questo livello dovrebbe garantire.

The hotel consists of two parts: the four-star chateau and the three-star Hotel Montmorency. The latter is located in a small, low-rise building across the street. We booked a room at the hotel. The hotel’s location is perfect: the chateau’s terrace overlooks the castle, and it’s fantastic to sit there whether in the evening or during the day. The castle entrance is 50 meters from the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the drinks we ordered were fine. Breakfast was served on the château’s terrace; it wasn’t a buffet, but rather portions were served individually, though we didn’t go hungry. We ordered soft-boiled eggs, but they weren’t brought out during the half hour we spent having breakfast. Parking is available in the hotel’s own parking lot, which is easily accessible, and the fee is reasonable. The hotel has a pool and balneotherapy services, but we didn’t try them.

The three-star hotel leaves much to be desired: the rooms are very small—my daughters were presumably given the smallest room in the hotel; they couldn’t even open a suitcase because the space next to the bed was so narrow—and the cleanliness is questionable. The room wasn’t ready at 3:00 p.m.; we saw the housekeepers toss the freshly made pillows and blankets onto the dirty carpet. The common hallway is very narrow, and the staircase leading to the upstairs rooms is so narrow that it’s barely possible to carry suitcases up it. The room design is quite dated, reminiscent of the ’80s; the air conditioner is old and noisy, so we preferred to open the window. The bathroom was clean and spacious. I should add that even the much more expensive hotels located inside the castle didn’t receive higher ratings than this one, but in terms of value for money, this hotel is only worth the price if you take into account how close it is to the Carcassonne Castle. The cramped room, the outdated and worn-out furnishings, and the hotel’s lack of cleanliness detracted from the experience. If you’re not staying here for a long time, it’s obviously bearable, but honestly, for nearly 200 euros per room, I expected much more.

Camera (prenotata doppia deluxe) assegnata in struttura separata! Per raggiungerla bisogna camminare all’esterno, attraversare la strada e accedere con codice (non c’è reception) quindi di fatto è un altro albergo. Ne consegue che la prenotazione che abbiamo fatto su Booking non trova riscontro nelle foto e nelle stanze proposte o quantomeno non è ben specificato. Stanza al piano terra con giardino lato sala motori condizionatori. Per raggiungere la piscina occorre camminare per la strada in costume e asciugamano. Bocciato!

Es un hotel encantador, precioso y está muy cuidado en sus instalaciones y equipamientos ,la situación es inmejorable para visitar el castillo, súper tranquilo para descansar, piscina muy agradable. Como excepción al maravilloso personal que nos atendió en todo momento en el Hotel y cuya dedicación agradecemos , contrastaba la actitud de la persona que atendia en la terraza por la noche. Tanto para desoír nuestras sencillas peticiones como en el trato tan desagradable que nos dio a ambas familias en la escasa hora y media que intentamos disfrutar de un rato de relax en la terraza.

Room very small Pool grubby - bottles , used towels left Service - asked reception to book a taxi to the train station & the time was probably a little lost in translation as the collection time wrong but the reaction of staff and particular the manager to rectify the issue was unbelievable (he basically ran away and got into his car ) , hence we missed the train

Perfect spot near the City. Great views. Good terrace for drinks and good pool area. Massage and spa are nice.

Breakfast is mid and not plentiful. Pool is actually 10m or so, we were expecting it to be longer given the pictures. Spa is only upon paid reservation. Rooms are well decorated but a bit old and we could feel the humidity.

La localización es perfecta, al lado de la puerta principal de Carcassonne. La amabilidad del personal, lo bonito que tienen el jardín, y la piscina y jacuzzi. La zona de aparcamiento es muy cómoda.

La habitación es más pequeña de lo que parecía en las fotos, especialmente el baño. La terraza de nuestra habitación estaba muy sucia, y no te podías sentar ni en las sillas, llenas de polvo y suciedad.

Bellissima struttura praticamente davanti alla città medievale con la possibilità di lasciare la macchina in parcheggio anche dopo il check out. Colazione varia e più che soddisfacente

Hotel ziet er mooier uit op de computer dan in het echt. Wij hadden een vrij donkere kamer met veel zwarte kleur. Op het internet ziet je foto’s veel kamers met veel felle kleuren, ook zie je veel andere kamers en faciliteiten maar die zijn van andere hotels. Het ontbijt is in een ander hotel aan de overkant van de straat. In dit hotel was er geen 24u receptie, deze was in het andere hotel aan de overkant van de straat. Inkom ruikt niet fris.

La proximité avec la cité médiévale est parfaite. Nous avons déposé notre véhicule et nous avons tout fait a pied. Le cadre de l'hôtel est très agréable. Pour clore notre séjour, nous avons terminé par le spa. Le massage en duo était parfait, nous avons pris la route détendus. Nous reviendrons sûrement hors saison.

Pas grand chose, le seul désagrément étais la chaleur de la canicule au moment de notre séjour.

On a aimé la piscine dont on nous a fait comprendre n’appartenait pas vraiment à notre hôtel (3 ⭐️) mais à celui avec 4! On a aimé le personnel très sympathique. Et on a adoré la vu sur Carcassonne.

Il fallait traverser la rue pour arriver à la réception ou à la piscine ou autre car c’est un lot annexe, le téléphone ne fonctionnait pas pour joindre la réception. La climatisation faisait tellement de bruit que nous n’avons pas pu l’utiliser la nuit… la chambre était trop petite, mal agencé. Avec une idée de deco pas fonctionnel et assez spécial avec des couleurs criardes qui n’invitaient pas au repos. Le rideau était translucide et laisser passer toute la lumière. Notre chambre la 24 était dans le couloir des locaux des femmes de ménage, on a eu en permanece (2 jours) les outils du ménage devant notre porte. Le petit déjeuner (certes avec des produits qualitatifs) étaient servi à table, donc on ne pouvait pas choisir ses quantités.

Die Zimmer sind etwas klein, aber sehr gemütlich und schön eingerichtet.

Dans l’ensemble : tout!! Le personnel est très agréable et professionnel Les chambres pétillantes et propres (merci à celles et ceux qui ont cette tâche et qu’on oubli souvent de remercier!!) Le lieu parfaitement décoré avec goût et son emplacement, on ne peut mieux.

Attention à certains papiers au sol qui traînent notamment aux abords du parking. Aussi les canapés extérieurs placés sous les arbres, face à l’entrée de l’hôtel : le revêtement a déjà beaucoup de taches. Les tables ne sont pas nettoyées et les cendriers restent pleins. Beaucoup de guêpes pendant le petit déjeuner!!☹️

Het is zonder meer prachtig gelegen vlak over de oude cité / kasteel van Carcassonne met een privé-parking (die weliswaar 15 eur per dag kost).

Het ontbijt is niet wat het hoort te zijn voor dergelijk hotel: niets variatie, pistolets die niet elke dag vers zijn (we hebben op die 5 dagen dat we er waren nooit Frans brood gezien), altijd hetzelfde beleg, eitjes moet je vragen en waren de laatste dagen op?.. Het personeel heeft wat een gelaten houding, niet van de snelsten. Mooie bar maar kleine snacks die ze aanbieden zijn ook niet van de beste kwaliteit m. Daarnaast maakte de airco in onze kamer een vreselijk lawaai. Kamers zijn niet heel groot (junior suite is 22 m2) en deels aan de overkant van de straat.

Uns fehlte ein Kühlschrank Wir hatten schon ein größeres Zimmer gebucht, aber auch dies war etwas eng. In der Beschreibung sollte besser darauf hingewiesen werden, dass man in einem Nebengebäude übernachtet. Auch sollten die Fotos dementsprechend gekennzeichnet werden. Der Weg zum Pool war kürzer als in den großen Ferienhotels , aber eben nicht auf dem Grundstück der Unterkunft.

It is just next to the castle of Carcassone. The main building/view there is stunning.

The room we were given was bizarrely hot HOT pink everything. Curtains. Walls. It was so out of character for what I had hoped for at this estate of a hotel. Also the black out curtains were broken.
