Good place to stay

Parking was at your door so that was great. Kitchen was great. The motel was located in a good area.

Warm and comfortable. Very quiet, good parking and within walking distance to CBD.

We were allocated unit 1 right next to the road. We were told on arrival not to let the road worry us as it’s rarely used. It was the main highway. Kept us awake all night. I’m not sure where hardly used came from. Asked for another heater for the spare room for the kids but was told only 1 heater per room and to put it in the middle of the unit. Didn’t heat up the whole unit.

Good motel

Good location and friendly staff. The room had the basic necessities like kitchen utensils and towels. Spacious room but a bit dated. The shower was a little temperamental, you either got ice cold or boiling hot water. All in all, it was a good stay.

We had a great stay! Kind owner, close to everything, and laundry facilities.

A great place to stay with parking right outside the rooms. Bed was a bit soft for me, but otherwise great place to stay for one night on our South Island trip.

The property is great, other than that no one is there if you ever need any support. So you better pray everything goes well. Good location, clean and well stocked. When the wifi was down, and we planned for an evening of work call, no one was there to help resolve it. There was no answers to the phone or messages. We managed to go buy more data, which made it just a $20 problem. I wonder what happens if something serious happens. It was a Sunday evening and we were the only ones around, which explains why.

Warm, comfortable and check in was easy. Receptionist was lovely.

Last minute stay at this motel. It's on the main street but so are many others. The town is small enough to walk around. My only issue was that WiFi is included but it didn't work. The signal was so weak it was impossible to use which made it difficult to plan the next bit of my trip. I even tried it at 4am in case it was being overtaxed by other guests. It didn't work then either and I was across the lane from the office.

Was a convenient,nice place to stay

Room was a little small and sofa's arranged so you had to look sideways to the TV. Worst was my now damaged toes when I opened the door of the oven and it fell straight onto my foot. The site is very handy for the town and easy walking to view the town attractions. If visiting again we would not book the cheapest option. Overall a decent place to stay for a couple of nights.

Stay was ok over rated. Wifi didnt work well, small tv and nota great selection of chanels. Not enough toilet paper had to use our own we brought. Only good thing is walking distance to township.

Enjoyed the stay very much at Jade Court. The room was nice and clean. It was close to the town center with easy parking.

Value for money. Comfortable beds. The microwave hadn’t been cleaned on our arrival, but this can be easily missed. The kitchen would benefit from a dish rack & tray as the bench got covered in water after doing dishes. Staff were very friendly & helpful & I thought the cleaning lady was a real sweetie. A very comfortable stay & we would stay again

Clean quiet

Dated property with poor customer service. We arranged to arrive late, then asked for 15-30 min late check out (1015-1030AM). We were rudely advised that was impossible as it would inconvenience the cleaning staff (?). Functional albeit dated rooms.

The best thing about this unit was it had an 'electric stove', so we rushed to the local Supermarket for meat and vegetables and had a lovely home cooked dinner. The only place we stayed in with a stove, magic, please dont remove it, as one does miss home cooking.

One of the largest units we have stayed in on this trip . Jamie keeps the property in great condition and kitchen is well supplied for all needs . Easy walk into town for dinner

Great simple motel only a short walk to the beach and town. Simple but adequate amenities. Comfortable bed and great shower.

The Motor Lodge, was located walking distance to the town centre. The Wifi, sucked, i had issues with loading a post on Facebook.

Lovely and simple little unit. Clean with all the necessary cooking facilities. Able to use washing machine and dryer at a cost of $12.00. Would have loved a fan in the room but overall - happy and good value for money.

Pleasant and convenient stop for getting to places like Shantytown. Helpful and courteous reception.

Property was quite shabby with paint scuffs where the cupboards have srapped against the walls. Unknown to us and not pointed out, was there was a charge to have our kayak in the room. Obviously we were doing C2C so that should have been mentioned. No idea why an inanimate object would attract a charge. They will be charging to have suitcases in the room next.

There is no fan in the room. Too hot at night to sleep. Unfortunately, we found mosquitoes in the rooms, my husband was bitten by mosquitoes.

We had a one bedroom unit, the space was amazing and the kitchen excellent. Used the laundry and there was even a supply of airing racks to take back to your unit! Central to everything in Hokitika.
