Stopforths Premium Accommodation

We enjoyed our stay very much. Eco friendly?? How does anyone rate ecofriendly?

Really clean and fully-facilitied room with friendly staff. Small pantry with cooktop is good for cooking.

Great establishment, well presented and smart. 2nd time staying here when bisiting Hokitika and will again.

Friendly host. And really clean facility. I had a bad luck where the heat pump stopped working. The host was kind to provide a fan heater. But it was quite noisy. In an hotel I would normally expect to change the room. However the problem I had was the quality of the mattress. Uneven cushion surface.

Great property!!

Good room short walk to town.

Spacious, clean and new room n tiolet. Comfortable beds.Very cheerful and nice host.

We were greeted with a smile and made to feel completely at ease on arrival.

Great host. Sonja was full of ideas of where to go for walks, activities, and eats. Rooms were clean and had utilities to allow meals, but no conventional oven. Easy to find and just outside of downtown, making it more quiet. Recommend.

The room we had was completely renovated and very well set up with everything required for a comfortable stay. Well done!

Very well.managed.property with extremely clean and well.maintained rooms.

Had a lovely and comfortable stay that exceeded expectations for a motel. Sonia was nice and helpful and gave us great recommendations for food. Try the Dulcie fish and chips (try the kumara chips!) by sunset point. Would recommend both the motel and the fish n chips!

Clean, modern, good room size & comfortable bedding

Beautifully clean, spacious, lovely extras of lavender soap and delicious coffee

The staff was excellent. I got some great recommendations for things to do in the area.

Overnight stayed at Hokitika on our way to Nelson, definitely perfectly goodnight sleep, quiet and excellent location to have meal in town

Fabulous accommodation, spotlessly clean well decorated and everything you need for a comfortable stay. In a perfect spot for a stroll in to the town but in a quiet street. Phil and Sonya were great host, gave us great ideas of where to go, sorted a helicopter ride for us too. Excellent stay thanks

This property was a pleasant surprise! Room was nicely appointed, spotless, bed was super comfortable and the host treated us like friends! The host gave us excellent tips on dining and sightseeing and we really enjoyed being able to walk all over town. Highly recommend!

Great accomodation

This property was amazing!! The staff were so friendly. Loved the rooms as were so clean and everything you needed in kitchen! The property was very quiet and so convenient to walking to the downtown!

Great host and nice facilities

Would definitely stay here again.

Very comfortable, modern & clean motel units. Easy stroll to the town & beach.

Lovely spot

Great quiet stay in Hokitika. Modern rooms, well furnished and all appliances required, spacious bathroom and very clean. Great communication and check with the friendly staff. Nice outdoor area to relax.

Host were very friendly and informative about the region.

Wonderful hosts and owners. Great amenities and attn to detail. Very helpful and friendly hosts. Would definitely stay there again and recommend this motel to others. We are thankful we were able to rent this accommodation which was a cancellation and the last room available.

Great clean and tidy room, parking was a bit short, the complex was booked and about 3 parking spaces short. Other than that it was great

Great little space tucked away in town

Very nice room.

Great place stay. Minutes walk to down town restaurants, businesses and to beach area. Good personnel.

Rooms are spacious and clean. Conveniently located in town centre.

Recently updated all rooms and hotel is walkable to town. Parking is easy and the hosts are very personable. Located in a residential area just outside of town. Everything was over the top without a view and sometimes the view isnt what you need

Great management, helpful staff, spacious unit and very comfortable stay thank you!

Perfect location a short walk from town. Room was clean, comfy and modern. The staff were lovely. The bed was comfortable. Everything was perfect

Our stay was great awesome host. Clean room, had everything we required. Definitely will be back.

Amazing stay, great location, friendly staff, newly renovated and spacious room. Highly recommended!

Fantastic stay at Stopforths! The rooms were immaculate, and the facilities top-notch. The hospitality was warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. A perfect choice for anyone visiting Hokitika. Highly recommend!

Friendly hospitality and very clean

Staff was friendly and welcoming and very informative. A map was given upon arrival with advice on local eateries and restaurants and information on local sites to visit. Milk provided, decent plunger coffee, tea and milo options in room. Rooms were clean, tidy and all for a reasonable price. Would definitely stay again.

Sonja was fantastic! Picked me up, made sure I had everything I needed. Hotel is an easy walk to town. Room had a lovely spa and a very well fitted out small kitchen area for longer stays. Would definitely recommend!

very friendly and helpful host

Unit had a lovely spa bath and overall was a warm clean modern space.

The unit was clean, quiet. The staff were friendly and approachable and informative.

Good surroundings and a quiet night sleep

Great room. Super clean and tidy. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Great value for money.

Well appointed room, lounge, kitchen & bathroom. Lovely property in an area close to the centre of Hokitika with cafes & restaurants closeby. Proprietors were excellent in advising us that we had left some property behind & happy to post back to us (reimbursement made), going that extra mile.

Nice clean and quiet motel close to town so you could walk there.

Well appointed, clean, super comfortable beds, would definitely recommend.

Best equipped accommodation while traveling!! Very accommodating!!

IMMACULATE! I have never seen a shower or spa bath or hotel room for that matter so spotlessly clean. The room was so comfortable and had everything you might need for a short or longer stay. Tea kettle, coffee press, tea pot with strainer, kitchen utensils, etc. Everything was provided. Would definitely recommend!

Short walk to town, clean, modern, spacious with friendly helpful host.

Great property with spacious modern rooms and very quiet. In room facilities are modern and extensive. Location is a short few hundred metres walk to town centre for dining. Would highly recommend for anybody looking to stay in Hokitika.

I stayed there on a business trip, for which I look for a clean room, comfortable bed, good bathroom and a place to work. Stopforths provided all of these requirements.

Stopforths was a perfect base for our time in Hokotika. The room was well appointed, with good desk, table for playing games or eating, nice shower, comfortable bed, friendly staff, good proximity to center of town. A little tricky to find, but no big deal. All in all, an excellent choice and we'd come back again.

Great spacious unit with extremely comfortable be. Handy to West Coast rides

I booked through the website, I was immediately on my way to the place of stay to have the actual company call and say they had booked it out already. A really poor way to advertise and provide a service as clearly this would happen often if multiple places are booking a accomodation service. It left me in the lurch with no accomodation.

The most rude service in my New Zealand trip. Owner was arguably the most bitter lady I have met in this country. Also there is very limited parking. Please avoid this hotel at all cost.

The lady greeting us when we checked in was very friendly and helpful with restaurant recommendations and told us about the Glow Worm Dell a short drive away which we loved seeing. The room was spacious and clean with a kitchenette including a small dishwasher and cooktop which we didn’t need but would be helpful if staying a longer time. We’d come back again any time.

Great accommodation, great location and great staff. Highly recommend

Great spot , excellent owners

Very friendly staff

Staff very nice and accommodating, easy walking distance to Main Street.

Without doubt, probably the nicest motel I've ever stayed in. Room was clean and modern with lovely furnishings. Bed was large and very comfortable- had a great night's sleep. Everything we could need for our stay. Great location, easy walk into town. Definitely recommend and I would certainly stay here again.

Such a wonderful spot, we stayed an extra night! Perfect... Kitchenette, close to literally everything, and owner Sonia was a delight. Absolutely recommend this little spot!

Just should not ne the cost it was for such antiquared place, clean, but towels are marginal

Super clean, well equipped family unit. Very comfortable beds. Would highly recommend.

Lovely hosts, modern shower, comfy bed, roomy room

.

Modern. Host welcoming and even did our washing for us

Very helpful front desk and clean rooms. Excellent hotel would highly recommend

Located in an excellent area within walking distance of the heart of the city.

Good locations, great accommodation

very easy to park and walk

Spacious room, Great bed, Friendly helpful hosts, Highly recommend

This is a superior property in every respect. It is modern, roomy, clean, well appointed, and efficient. The king bed was especially comfortable. There is obvious attention to detail and staff is most cooperative. We will make a point of returning to this facility.

Great hotel. Clean and staff very friendly and helpful with dining recommendations. Got an upgrade which lovely and the room was spacious and the bathroom was huge with a nice spa bath. Short walk up to the Main Street area but otherwise in a very central and convenient location.

Stopforth motel was our choice because of location and facilities it has. Value for money!

Perfect. Why can't all motels be like this?

The lodging was very clean and very well equipped. We enjoyed the separate second bedroom for our daughter. And, the TV screens were great - we used the chromecast application and it worked great.

Fantastic Hosts..

Fantastic nights sleep. Handy for a walk into town and along the estuary walk to the amazin view of the sunset.

My room was spacious and very clean with great amenities. The bed was one of the comfiest motel beds I have stayed in while travelling for work.

Great spot. Modern, quite and comfortable

We stayed as a family with a young child, and we loved it! The room was comfortable, clean, modern and with many conveniences such as tableware, stove, hot drinks etc. We will be back the next time we visit Hokitika!

Nice and quiet but an easy walk to town

A nice comfortable room for two nights with good internet so we could do a little work as well

Best host ever

Ours was an exceptionally nice stay at Stopforths! Our entire suite was super clean and comfortable and provided all amenities we needed for our two-night stay. The kitchenette and bathroom were each stocked with all the essentials with all appliances in good working order. The motel is in the middle of a residential area, and our second floor room overlooked the yards of the surrounding homes --unexpected but not an issue. The area is very quiet despite being just a short few blocks away to restaurants and shops downtown (would be an easy and pleasant walk). We were very happy to have found this great place to stay having never been to Hokitika and would easily choose it again should we return!

The Managers were friendly and welcoming, they ensured that we got a new room when a small problem was found with the Air Conditioning Unit timer feature. The rooms was spacious and had a corporate feel, a touch of luxury. We couldn't be happier with this accomodation.

Really enjoyed my stay. Owner was lovely. Room was immaculate! Top quality shower products. Slept like a baby! Bed so comfortable. Would definitely stay again

The room was really nice and had everything we needed. The shower and bed were both nice and large, and the kitchen great. The room was serviced too which we weren't expecting for a short stay. Owners were really helpful. The complex is not in the CBD which didn't matter as much as I initially thought as not too far to walk or bike. Would highly recommend

Great for an overnight stay. Some distance from the town facilities, but quiet and comfortable. Helpful staff and easy parking.

Very nice, new room with a fully equipped kitchen

Fantastic place to stay. Highly recommended. Note - an iron in the room would be the icing on the cake of an excellent place to stay!

Great place to stay. Spotlessly clean, great location and very friendly hosts.

Truly enjoyed the Stopworths premium location. Super clean, easy to get to and everything we needed to make a dinner in the room. Highly recommend.

Lovely property. Top drawer. Very pleasant and kind owner. Spotless well run with premier touches An excellent choice.

Great stop over in Hokitika. Very helpful on dinner suggestions and spot on advice. Comfortable and clean and tidy. Good choice!

Friendly owner and staff, the room has everything you need to be happy-
