The second time I have stayed here and can fully recommend. Located near Freshwater East beach, the country house has beautiful gardens, parking, spacious bedroom, comfortable beds and a wonderful breakfast. Staff are very friendly and communication is great.

Beautiful property! I arrived later in the evening and found check in to be smooth and seamless. The room was gorgeous super comfortable very, very clean. Breakfast was served in the morning and I was able to say what time I wanted to eat. they had a vegetarian option which I was super grateful for as well. Everything was delicious. The grounds are also beautiful and this would be an excellent place for a romantic evening or if you were just passing through.

A lovely character property in a beautiful location. Very friendly and helpful team. The room was very comfortable and had all we needed. The breakfast was delicious and provided plenty of variety.

Next time I would book a walk in shower if possible as I have arthritis and it is difficult to climb in and out of the bath - but that is just a personal preference. I managed fine. Everything else was lovely.

There was no personal welcome just an envelope. There is no lounge. We weren't sure if we were allowed to explore the grounds around the house. In the very hot weather it would have been nice to have had a fridge in the room (for fresh milk etc)

The building itself was charming and I did like the position of the hotel which was a twenty minute walk away from the beach.

It was jaded in its decor. I know the building is old but it could have done with some new carpets. I didn't like leaving my details in a box in the porch that anyone could read either. I felt that was a bit of a data breach.

There was an error with my booking that i was unaware of. A staff member informed me at breakfast very loudly in front of all the other guests which i found quite embarrassing. I think she could have easily been more discreet. I had completed a hand written form the previous day which would gave flagged up the issue immediately, however she told me she hadn’t read that. We rectified the matter before we left.

The place has a warm, friendly, and welcoming feel. The people working their were very helpful, and attent. Beautiful walks nearby, room was very clean and comfortable and breakfast was delicious.

Everything was great. Food, location, ease of finding it and getting to my room. Relaxed. Gorgeous spot, amazing building. Would recommend. Having a single room is a bonus. Comfy bed. Very clean.

The brown and drab decor, tired lampshades etc. on landings and in the room let it down. Especially after the bright exterior and hallway.

Lovely guesthouse with beautiful grounds. Great breakfast with lots of choice. Friendly staff (although didn’t meet until the morning after we arrived and just before we were leaving!

Lovely old fashioned beautiful little house. The breakfast was great, the whole place felt incredibly homely and laidback. Very child friendly and amazing value for money.

It is a perfect country house, clean and quite location. Property is perfect for country stay, has a small TV it would be great to have minimum 42 inch TV now a days. Nice and healthy cooked breakfast including vegetarian option. Very nice super king bed.

Small TV which was tilting towards the ceiling, bracket needs to be installed correctly so that you can tilt it down or at least it is not tilting upwards. A large size TV would be appreciated especially World Cup football is on.

Beautiful property with large, clean and comfortable rooms (ours had a stunning view on the hills and a super comfortable bed). The owners were very nice and helpful, offering help to organise my trek and transfer the day after. Breakfast was delicious, and it was served in a beautiful room.

The location is incredible, so close to lots of wonderful places. The stay was relaxed and friendly with an amazing room with views of the garden and duck pond. Breakfast was incredible with several options to choose from. Everyone was so friendly, staff/family and the other guests.

I felt it was incredibly good value for the quality of the room, the excellent breakfast and the location. The hosts were friendly and helpful.

A beautiful house with a lovely beach not too far away. Breakfast was lovely and the staff very friendly. We went in very hot weather and our room was lovely and cool.

If I was being very fussy, the bathroom was a little bit tired looking. But was still lovely and clean.

A room in a country house set in pretty grounds in rural Pembrokeshire. Breakfast was excellent. Helpful host always prompt to respond to special requests. Pembrokeshire beaches and coast path close at hand.

The location is a little remote if, like me, you don't have your own car. It's a 2km walk to the nearest bus stop and train station in Lamphey and the local taxi services are a bit patchy.

Great welcome from hosts…everything was explained fully. Wonderful room (No.1)…wanted a walk-in shower if possible but the bathtub was easy to get into/out of. Breakfast had a good selection.

The reference to the lake view means that there is a place called the lakes (no actual lake) Would like to stay in the self-catering cottages which look amazing…if it were possible to go to the main house for breakfast (in future)

Breakfast was outstanding, service was fantastic. Location was perfect, near to everything. The only issue as a solo is dinner. There wasnt anywhere particularly near that I could have dinner, especially by yourself. There were a few restaurants that came up but I always feel awkward - shame the premises didnt have a restaurant.

For breakfast, everyone was allocated a table with their room number on it. Sadly, my table was stationed in a gap, with my back against the view, facing the rest of the dining room. I had to move my table and change the seat round to the side so that I could also see the view. Seems to be a common theme for us solo travellers - usually squeezed into a corner. I would just suggest thinking a little bit more about the solo experience when organising the dining room please. That really was the ONLY thing that I can fault and it wasnt really done on purpose so I feel bad mentioning it.

Location was great for the beautiful local beaches, the room was very comfortable and a good size. There was a very well set information folder, with details about the local area. Breakfast was great with a large choice, including gluten free option. We will definitely be back

Location of the hotel was lovely and quiet and only a short walk down to the beach. The room we had was clean and very comfortable and the bathroom provided all that was necessary for a short stay. Breakfast offered a nice selection of options, all of which were nicely prepared to one's choice. Throughout our stay, all the staff encountered were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely book this hotel again.

The whole experience was exceptional value for money. The room was clean and the location aided a much needed nights sleep. The breakfast was amazing and the staff were friendly. I would recommend staying at such an amazing property.

Breakfast was tasty but uncomfortable, the table was small and wonky and with the large coffee pot, tea pot, jars of salt and pepper, 8 jars of jam on a wooden shelf, menus, table number, side plates, butter and cups and saucers on there there was no room for anything else ! it was unpleasant. When the food came and the rack of toast and our glasses of fruit juice there wasn't an inch to spare and it was very awkward to eat or butter the toast. Surely all the jams and condiments could be kept on the sideboard ? and the menus taken away ? we didn't use any of them. It's was a disappointing end to what was otherwise a very nice stay.

The breakfast was excellent and we were a few minutes drive from the beach which was what we were looking for as our granddaughter wanted to learn to surf.

The choice of restaurants was limited in the evenings.

Beautiful setting well appointed room, King size bed, many in UK state extra large bed but mean queen size. Wonderful Breakfast staff were friendly polite and insightful.

The house was in a delightful setting and our hosts were very helpful, quicklyfulfillin a couple of minor requests. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice served quickly and with a willing smile.

Our room was on the second floor which meant we had to climb three flights of stairs. The room itself was excellent although it might be an idea if a small fridge was provided. Our hosts willingly kept some wine in their fridge for us but a small fridge in the room would have overcome the need to ask.

Cheryl, the host was friendly and welcoming. Our room was large with a view of the front garden. The location is quiet and rural. The period house and breakfast room were lovely. Parking on the premises.

Mattress was firm and both pillows were soft. That may not be a problem for other guests.

Excellent position, very helpful family run business catering for all needs. Beautifully appointed rooms with nice views,generally over farmland and garden. Very comfy bed and good en-suite. The breakfast was served well and beautifully cooked with as much as you could eat, as well as a good choice. Very pleased thankyou. Hope to go again in the future.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this hotel. The property is spotless, beautifully presented, and has a really up-market feel without being pretentious. We visited during the Tenby Ironman weekend, and the experience couldn’t have been better. The host was outstanding, warm, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable about both the local area and the Ironman event itself. He went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, sharing great tips and guidance that really enhanced our visit. Breakfast is included, and while we couldn’t enjoy it in the usual setting due to our 5:30 a.m. start, the host thoughtfully prepared a to-go breakfast bag for us. It was packed with fresh fruit, drinks, and snacks to keep us going throughout the long day, such a kind and practical touch that really made a difference. Overall, the combination of excellent hospitality, immaculate rooms, and thoughtful little extras made our stay truly memorable. Whether you’re in Tenby for an event like Ironman or just for a relaxing break, this hotel is an absolute gem, I couldn’t recommend it more highly!

This guest house is great because the Breakfast & staff are excellent and The bed was very comfortable and all the rooms are very clean. It is also close to freshwater beach and close to the Pembrokeshire costal path.

The mattress bed was horrible, it had deep hole in the middle of the bed, made sleeping impossible, didn’t help it was also single bed so no where to move. TV wasn’t working
