We absolutely loved our stay at Au Cabaret Vert. The property is beautiful, surrounded by lush greenery and a peaceful, calm atmosphere. We especially appreciated its eco-friendly concept, which makes the whole place feel very relaxing and connected to nature. The service was truly exceptional. All the staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and kind, and they made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. Our room was nice, clean, and comfortable. The bed was especially cozy, and we had a really good night's sleep. The breakfast was also delicious and tasty, with a lovely selection to start the day. Honestly, we loved everything about this property and would definitely come back in the future.

The only small downside is that the location is a little far from the city center, but for us, the peaceful surroundings more than made up for it.

What an amazing place, beautiful garden, big pool and a very beautiful and comfortable bungalow where I stayed. I can see that the owners are looking after they place very well. Not to forget the charming and friendly staff and the good breakfast and food they have, shame I could only stay one night but I will definitely be back on my next trip and I cannot wait. Thank you for my lovely stay.

Super comfy and clean. The pool was great. Breakfast was awesome. The staff is incredibly friendly and lovely to chat with. We celebrated Khmer new year with them, and they welcomed us in to their party as though we were Cambodian…super super fun. Had a great stay here.

A little bit of a walk from the river and “downtown” stuff but not crazy. Restaurant prices were a bit higher than typical, so we are at surrounding restaurants mostly.

Tout est bien, alors par où commencer ? Par le personnel, souriant, attentif et efficace, et Mathieu le gérant, si sympathique ! Qui discute – si l’on veut – avec ses clients et joue de temps du saxophone avec quelques amis musiciens… Les bungalows, vastes, confortables et fort bien meublés, la piscine, à double bassins, les allées entourée d’arbustes, la boutique d’artisanat et la bibliothèque, très éclectique, le restaurant, extra ! Bref, Au cabaret vert est la meilleure adresse pour loger à Battambang !

Very well maintained hotel with comfortable rooms and nice interior. The pool is quite big and very very clean. We loved the food (especially the pumpkin soup 🧡) & fresh juices 🍍. The staff was very friendly - they helped us book our bus to Kampot. We took the bamboo train + flying bat tour and absolutely loved it - the driver was very friendly & told as a lot along the road.

We were charged a 3% extra fee in the end. There was a spider in the shower - I asked the staff to clean our room and refill our water, but the room was never cleaned during our entire stay.

Le personnel de l'établissement est aux petits soins, le jardin luxuriant est très agreable, le petit déjeuner est excellent , varié et local , , mais les installations ( chambres du bâtiment principal ) sont parfois vieillissantes et un coup de neuf serait nécessaire...

My husband and I loved our stay at this gorgeous hotel — we even extended our booking so we could stay longer! The room, pool, and grounds are all beautiful, exceptionally clean, and very comfortable. The food is high quality, with fresh and organic products sourced from local producers. The staff and the owner are very friendly. We were surprised with a delicious welcome drink when we arrived. We cannot recommend this place highly enough. It is a true oasis, located just over a 5 minute tuk tuk ride from the centre of the city.

The overall place is nice with lots of greenery, and the food is good.

I felt this hotel was overpriced for the value it provides. Most of the other hotels I've stayed in throughout Cambodia -- especially those located in bigger, more touristic cities that offer much more variety in terms of food and things to do (that should cost more) -- cost significantly less than this hotel and provide much more in terms of quality of facilities and services provided. Also, the customer service wasn't great. Staff were more worried about pleasing and tending to the senior French tourists who were staying there, who clearly had more money to spend and tips to give out, than making sure all of their customers were well taken care of. I found on many instances, the time and attention I received was poor compared to the consideration shown to the group of older French tourists. It seemed like this was out of interest and more convenient for the staff, and didn't feel good to me or others who were clearly receiving a different, subpar treatment.

Les chambres donnant toutes sur la piscine,, la déco, la végétation autour de la piscine, le personnel aux petits soins et la grande piscine plus qu'indispensable apres une journée de visites sous cette chaleur. La propreté et les équipements des chambres au top. Plus que recommandé.

La cuisine était moyenne-plus. Donc bon mais pas avec ce truc du "je me suis régalé". Mais ça, c'est bien trop subjectif pour vous y fier. Hôtel excentré du centre, je dirais 15/20min à pieds. Sinon c'est 5min de tuk tuk mais rien de méchant, nous le savions mais les photos faisaient vraiment envie et nous ne regrettons pas.

Complementary pickup from the bus station was very much appreciated. The owner was friendly and the other staff very efficient. The room, the pool and the grounds were beautiful and well maintained. We loved being able to have our water bottles refilled at the bar!

The water pressure in the shower was very low and kept alternating between warm and cold. Our room wasn’t made up on the second day until we asked. The location is not very central and in an uninspiring neighbourhood.

If we could move in forever we would! Our bungalow was exactly the type of accommodations we dream of. There are six huts and they are all decorated differently and with great artistic care. The bed was wonderful; the pool was the perfect respite from the heat; and the food is absolutely a top notch, wonderful mix of Khmer and western choices. We couldn't wait for mealtime to eat our way through the menu. Mathieu and his wonderful staff made us feel like family during our weeklong stay. We would recommend this delightful oasis in Battambang to any traveler with discerning taste. You are bound to love it!

I can't imagine anything better! Just save us a spot when it is time for our return.

Cet établissement est parfait et doté d'un cadre magnifique. Le personnel est adorable, serviable et d'une extrême gentillesse. Le propriétaire français est très accueillant. Les chambres sont décorés avec goût et très propres. Le petit-déjeuner est à la carte avec une formule et délicieux (beaucoup de choix et tout est frais et maison). Le restaurant est une pépite, délicieux aussi. Très bien situé, très proche du centre de Battambang en restant au calme. Je recommande à 100%.

L'hôtel est très bien situé et le personnel accueillant. Nous sommes restées tard sur Battambang et le cabaret vert nous a permis d'utiliser leur piscine et salle de bain même après notre check out. Nous avons aussi réservé une des excursions proposées par l'hôtel pour découvrir les environs de Battambang qui était sympathique.

Excellent accueil de Mathieu,le propriétaire des lieux, avec une gentillesse extrême. L endroit est un cocon au milieu d une verdure luxuriante. Excellente cuisine et excellent petit déjeuner. Très bon rapport qualité prix.

Matthieu et son équipe à qui il apprend le français nous ont magnifiquement accueillis. Une mine d’informations sur le Cambodge et la région à tous points de vue. Nous en avons aussi appris sur Rimbaud 😉. Pour nous, une étape très enrichissante de notre voyage de longue durée. Et quelle délicieuse cuisine 😋

La glace à la noix de coco et au poivre de Kampot … beaucoup trop dangereuse, nous en avons repris tous les jours 🤭

Accueil parfait de la partdu propriétaire et du personnel avec un verre de bienvenue. Superbe jardin et piscine très agréable après les promenades de la journée. Chambre spacieuse et literie confortable. Très bons repas et petit-déjeuners formidables. A 5 minutes en tuk-tuk du centre-ville. En plus , les autres clients sont très agréables.

I have no idea how people’s reviews were so complimentary! The property was very poorly maintained and dirty! The garden / pool area did not resemble the ‘ manicured photos’ on this booking site. We checked out after one night and found a lovely property nearer the town, immaculate and less expensive.

Höchstes Lob an das Personal, welches jederzeit äußerst nett, zuvorkommend und höflich war und sich um jeden Wunsch (Bus, Ausflug, Essenswünsche etc.) gekümmert hat. Die gesamte Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und sauber. Es gibt einen kleinen Kinderbereich im Pool, eine kleine Kinderecke mit Spielen und auch ein Kinderzimmer mit separatem Schlafzimmer und Badezimmer. Das Hotel organisierte sogar den Transport eines Gepäckstückes nach Siem Reap, welches wir im Hotel vergessen hatten.

Falls man ein Manko nennen will, dann sind es die typischen härteren Bettmatratzen, die aber doch eher typisch für Kambodia sind.

Sehr schöner Bungalow in sehr schöner Anlage. Gutes Essen.

On a adoré notre séjour au cabaret vert construit et tenu par Mathieu ! Quel avre de paix ! Bungalow très confortable autour d une piscine géniale avec une eau à température idéale même jusqu'à 10pm ! Le personnel est au petit soin ! Et même si vous n y résidez pas, mangez au restaurant ! Spécialités locales délicieuses! Je crois même qu ils livrent en take away.. on y retournera avec grand plaisir.. on s y est bien reposé .. endroit au calme et hors poussière environnante

On a particulièrement apprécié l'accueil chaleureux et l'ambiance sympathique. Le personnel est efficace, sympathique, souriant et forme une belle équipe avec Matthieu. Les repas sont très bons avec une carte fournie. Belle piscine. On recommande aussi les excursions en tuk-tuk privé: très intéressant, prix très raisonnable, adaptable à ses envies

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le personnel, toujours aux petits soins, en particulier le propriétaire. Le jardin et la piscine sont magnifiques, et le petit déjeuner avec vue sur le jardin est très agréable. L’emplacement est idéal pour visiter Battambang en scooter.

L’absence d’eau chaude est regrettable, surtout compte tenu du prix du logement pour le Cambodge.

Wunderschöne Unterkunft. Preis-Leistung stimmt absolut. Grosse geräumige Bungalows, sogar mit eigenere kleinen Bibliothek. Restaurant bietet sehr leckere und vielseitige Menüs an. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, der Besitzer ist auch regelmässig anwesend und unterhält sich mit den (vorwiegend französischen) Gästen.

Lovely individual bungalows around a beautiful pool. Food was great. The staff organised a brilliant Tuk tuk tour for us visiting lots of really interesting local industries - dried banana, rice wine, fish sauce it was one of the best tours we had. Battambang is a lovely small town to visit. The Phare circus was really good

Just steps away from the center, this resort completely won our hearts. The setting is stunning—ideal for relaxing and recharging—and the atmosphere is so peaceful. A big shout-out to the amazing team for their kindness and to Matthieu, the owner, who welcomed us with such care. We’re leaving with beautiful memories… and only one thought: we’ll be back soon

The property is set in lush tropical gardens which is gorgeous. The bungalows are detached and have everything you need! The bed was really comfy and I really liked the pool area. The breakfast was EXCELLENT!

Da wir ein Familienzimmer hatten waren wir im Haupthaus untergebracht und da war es recht hellhörig und direkt an der Straße. Morgens war da schon gut was los.

Accueil enthousiaste et bienveillant, le personnel avait toujours le sourire aux lèvres et l'envie de rendre service. Excellent restaurant et très agréable piscine/jardin. La disposition des lieux crée une ambiance familiale et chaleureuse, on s'y sent très vite comme à la maison!

Un hôtel à taille humaine dans un esprit maison de famille avec ses bungalow autour d’une Belle piscine pour nager ou se détendre; petit déjeuner « home made » jusqu’au croissants et un petit espace pour lire ou jouer … Bref, Il y a un petit truc en plus dans cet établissement. Merci à Mathieu et à tous son personnel très attaché à la France par ailleurs !

J’ai passé un excellent séjour de deux nuits dans cet hôtel. Le propriétaire m’a accueilli avec une grande gentillesse, beaucoup de bienveillance et toujours le sourire. J’ai logé seul dans un bungalow spacieux, très propre et parfaitement équipé. Le lieu est une vraie source de paix et de tranquillité, idéal pour se ressourcer. La piscine est magnifique et très agréable, surtout après une journée de découverte de la ville en scooter loué sur place,un vrai bonheur de s’y détendre ! Le petit-déjeuner est complet, savoureux et composé de bons produits. Le propriétaire donne aussi d’excellents conseils pour explorer la région. Dommage que je ne sois resté que deux jours, car la ville est superbe et l’endroit vraiment parfait pour un voyageur solo ou autre.

Bij binnenkomst loop je meteen de prachtige rustgevende tuin in. Alles is zo mooi aangelegd. Met leuke boekenhoek en overal is iets te zien, heel knus. We hoorden ook een soort serene muziek, ik denk van de buren, maar paste perfect in het plaatje. 's Avonds ontzettend lekker gegeten, aanrader. De volgende ochtend moesten we al vroeg weg, maar ze hebben voor ons ontbijt klaargemaakt en meegegeven. Jammer dat we hier maar 1 nacht waren.

The comfort of the mattresses could have been better - a little too firm for our tastes. Also, the showers could have been a little warmer. The water wasn't cold per say, but it definitely didn't get that hot.
