The bathroom was outside so it's a bit uncomfortable to use but it was super clean

Reviewed Aug 12, 2026Sensational location, spotlessly clean, friendly staff and how good to have an onsite playground. Being able to walk to town was wonderful.
The kitchen facilities were great - very clean and everything we needed. What absolutely sucked was the locked bathrooms that needed key access and were in a seperate building. Can you imagine taking children to the loo several times in the night in the freezing cold and pitch black? And needing key access which was difficult. And caused large delay. It was horrible. The locked bathrooms are the entire reason I wouldn’t book again. Everything else was great.

Car parking first in first served for lodge. Not assigned for each unit. Need key to use bathroom.

Reviewed Apr 16, 2026Very close to town, beautiful surroundings, comfortable double beds in the one bedroom cabin. Kitchen fairly well equipped, only no cooker and oven. Stove top and microwave oven provided. Complimentary tea/coffee and toiletries.
No cooker and oven, just a stove top. Also no shower enclosure, just wet room, which leaves water everywhere. Bunk beds uncomfortable and creak a lot, especially in the studio cabin. Also cabins are very cold. Heater in living room of one bedroom cabin but none in the bedroom, which meant it was very cold, despite using blankets provided.

Reviewed Apr 6, 2026It was a lovely self contained lodge, with it's own car parking space and garden area with a porch and outside seating. The site looked well kept and maintained, and although we did not use the shared faclities they appeared to be relatively new and comprehensive.
The only thing that was slightly under-par was that the bathroom had a mouldy smell, which could have been due to the extractor fan requiring a good clean and service.

Paying for wifi is not on, there was a sign in the showers saying showers are free ,well that makes a change as nothing else is .

Unfortunately the barrier code I was given didn’t work and I had arrived after reception was closed, so caused a bit of an issue. Sure it would have been resolved easily if I’d arrived early enough Staff were lovely and apologetic in the morning

The villa was spacious and comfortable well equiped kitchen The camp had a great laundry where when your wash was completed you received a txt message. Loved it. E en though we didnt have children the playground andamenities for children looked like fun.
Nothing we stayed there on our way to Queenstown and on our way back as we loved it.

The staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. I would definitely visit here again and highly recommend this place for staying to everyone.

Just the shared bathroom situation - but its a campsite and (to be honest) I think it was fairly priced for not including a bathroom!
