Staff were nice and provided a good service . Everything seemed to work okay in the room .Location was close to the town .
Very dark and dated . Needs a refresh . Significant cosmetic issues in the bathroom ( see pictures ) .Wall are wafer thin we could hear our fellow guests using the toilet , taking a shower , coughing etc .
Good location Beautiful old building Friendly staff
Room was very dated Needed a full refurbishment to bring it up to modern day standards Very expensive £207 for room only, disgrace in comparison to other hotels
Charmerene hyggeligt sted med en masse historie.
Ingen ting, alt var som det skulle være.
Excellent evening meal and breakfast, friendly staff, nice room. Stairs a bit difficult and fire doors heavy but necessary. Repeat visit after many years and enjoyable stay.
Due to personal mobility stairs were a challenge.
We arrived at 12.30 and our room was ready for us. The receptionist was polite and helpful and the breakfast was nice in the morning. The room was clean and comfortable.
There seemes to be a lot of noise from other rooms so I didn't get a great night sleep however the bed was comfortable. Saying that, I would stay again.
Great location, quiet area, parking, nice garden, very clean lovely friendly staff
The walls were so thin that you could hear all conversation and movement from other rooms. The bed and pillows were not very comfortable. Bath mat desperately needs replacing!
Short walk to town centre. Quite location
Lovely location and staff.
A little worn, particularly in the bathroom. A mistake was made in no towels being put in the room (although very rapidly resolved when reported to staff).
The breakfast was very good. The staff were friendly.
We had two single rooms. Number 5 - the bed was not acceptable. It was very uncomfortable. The hot water tap had no pressure and just a small trickle. The bathroom bin had not been emptied from the previous guests. It was noisey due to the coolers for the cellar under the window. Room 8 - The decor was a little tied but acceptable. The toilet seat would not stand up. The shower has 3 heat settings - burning, scolding and far too hot. The hotel must be aware of this problem.
Friendliness and helpfulness
The location was great for walking and visiting sandringham. The staff were friendly and pleasant. I would definitely stay again.
I felt that the breakfast time was understaffed and wasn't enough stock for all the customers. The fan didn't work in room 24 and it was quite warm outside.
The location and the friendly staff. The young girl who worked on reception and in the breakfast room was lovely.
It's a little dated and the breakfast room is dingy and dark. Paper thin walls mean you hear everything in the next room ( and presumably they hear you).
Breakfast was excellent- perfectly cooked and just the right portion size.
It was all comfortable, but bedside lamp and accessories needed to be dusted more thoroughly.
Good times for breakfast as I’m up and out for work. Very well presented
Private car parking-off road
No fridge
Great being able to book 2 single rooms for my friend and I cycling the Rebellion Way together. The staff were lovely. We were able to store our bikes in a locked shed overnight, which was brilliant. Good breakfast.
Nothing!
Quiet and comfortable. Nice garden to the rear. Had two electric charging points in the car park which we found very useful.
Nothing, it was very acceptable.
Just a brilliant nights stay. Staff were helpful and the evening meal was lovely. Breakfast hit the spot and is value for money. Had a lovely sleep.
The food was excellent
The mattress was a little uncomfortable, had a dip on one side.
Very pretty spot with the garden to sit in the sunshine, very friendly staff.
The only issue was the water pressure on the shower was not great.
Small , easy to find, free parking , friendly stuff, dog friendly ..comfy big bed,
Noisy a bit .. barking dog in the middle of the night in neighbourhood like constantly 2h , no one reacted long .. thin walls ..so we hear neighbours talking in their room, poor breakfast included (1 egg, cold bacon , 1/2 mushroom, very small portions),
The staff were exceptionally attentive, approachable, friendly and very accommodating. From arrival to leaving they made our stay fantastic. There was a residents private garden. We had the best sleep ever, the beds are so comfortable, every amenities we needed. It was in an ideal location, with a walk through the park to the town. Very dog friendly too with a sausage each for breakfast. Breakfast was delicious too.
There was absolutely nothing at all to dislike, this hotel has got it all, the staff are an asset and clearly take pride in being part of the team. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely be back.
Very peaceful and comfortable room. Staff pleasant and breakfast good. Very good location for visit to Kings Lynn historical centre.
By contemporary standards- hotel a little old fashioned or dated and bath mats in need of replacement. This would not prevent me coming back.
What a lovely hotal to stay at, the room was tidy and clean. The bed was comfy even for me. The area is really peaceful and there's a couple of nice medium sized places to sit and relax, some table and chairs to use. Will return when suits. Breakfast was very nice, little fry up to start the day off was fine. A range or hot or cold drinks to suit.
breakfeast was good
told to leave bar/resteraunt at 8.30.
Nicely tucked away so peaceful and safe. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was very good. In-room facilities good. Linen and towels clean. Quiet nights sleep.
It was a dark place. Lighting and decor quite depressing, especially the restaurant in a morning. It needs a good clean: cobwebs on windows and light fittings, flies in lamp shades. Dirty cutlery and stained teapots that can easily be cleaner. Bed very lumpy. Overall a great little stay, but it needs a 'big pick me up' - a good clean, lighter decor and better light bulbs would be a great change. Limited catering i.e. no way of ordering light snacks out of set 'meal times' .
Very nice hotel. Well located for Kings Lynn and so lovely and quiet room.
Nothing
They were really helpful when our arrangements changed. Our father was ill in hospital and we needed a base to come and go when necessary. They were really accommodating and extended our booking and let us check in early after a night at the hospital. They were very kind. The bar is lovely and the breakfasts are good.
Nothing everything was good.
very nice staff, plenty of parking and nice building and bar inside. food was ok, room good size. didn't have breakfast. decent location for what we needed, but a bit of walk to town centre
not sure about which room we got versus booked, but it was like a time travel to the nineties. not dirty or anything, but very small bed, stained carpet etc. needs a refresh/renovation
Excellent breakfast.
Beautiful building in convenient, quiet location.
Small hotel, quiet location, near were we wanted to be.
Very attentive staff, good location, good facilities.
Nothing
Friendly, clean, nice location
easy access, excellent parking
a small thing: light switch over the bed
Situated in a very quiet area with a 15min walk in to town through a lovely and interesting park.
Nothing.
Very welcoming.Great staff.Perfect location.Breatfast just right.Dinner in the evening also very good. Accommodation is fine and very comfortable.Hotel has everything you need and is very peaceful.
Nothing
Breakfast was tasty. Staff all very friendly. Good shower in room.
Bar meal portions were a little on the small size but were nice. A couple of requests got mixed up but not a big issue. Convenient and good choice.
Good choice of meals on the menu. Food was well cooked. Good breakfasts. Rooms were very comfortable. The walk from the railway station through the park to the hotel is beautiful. Lovely, shady garden behind the hotel.
Nothing.
Clean, convenient, nice staff
Nothing to fault. Had to leave too early for breakfast so didn’t get to try it.
Nice open large room with 4 poster bed Staff are really friendly and welcoming
Nothing
Stayed for one night on cycling tour around Norfolk, able to store bikes safely. good size rooms, good size food portions and freshly made. Staff approachable. Felt it was rather odd dining in the bar area and not in the restaurant space despite being fairly busy. Breakfast tasted great but a little let down that there were not enough bowels or plates out for self serving cereals. could do with some redecoration in one of the room stayed in with wallpaper pealing.
Staff friendly enough. Small gardens very nice and sufficient. Sausage for breakfast nice. Very dog friendly - we’re given a sausage per dog per meal.
Bedroom very basic and needs modernising. Preferably no carpet for dog rooms. Food was not up to standard. Frozen food reheated… Poached egg hard, bacon overcooked.

Very helpful staff - let us leave our 2 cars for 4 nights while we cycled around Norfolk
Such a welcoming place to stay. It struck me how happy the staff were and how customer focused they are. My room was spacious , beautifully furnished and comfortable. I had a ground floor room at the front of the hotel and was concerned I might have interrupted sleep but all was quiet and I slept well.
Breakfast was average. Evening meals were quite good. Location was good and very quiet, we were able to walk into the town via ‘The Walks’ through the park.
Shower wasn’t good being in the bath.
Location to town center is good. Breakfast was filling and hot. The hotel bar is very handy and welcomed.
I struggled to open my window. Ground floor room.
Reception and staff throughout our stay were excellent and very welcoming. We had two single rooms, both comfortable and quiet. The restaurant meal was very good and great value. Parking was useful, and the hotel is just a short walk from the centre of Kings Lynn.
Very quiet for a town centre hotel, peaceful and a good night's sleep. Secluded location not expected so close to the town centre.
Lovely twin room, last minute booking, including breakfast
The coffee, only complaint it was tasteless
Quiet location, easy and free parking. We had an issue with our room, and when I notified the staff were very accomodating and happily let as switch to another. Would highly recommend this hotel!
Nothing
Our room was lovely and quiet with a huge bed and plenty of drawer space. We had both breakfast and dinner during our stay and the food was very good . The staff were friendly and helpful. Being a dog lover I liked the fact they were dog friendly.
Can't think of anything.
Brilliant staff, especially Michelle and Donna
Evening service in the bar was cheerful and efficient.
The hotel is tired and frayed at the edges. It wasn't over full, and yet some of the staff failed to go the extra mile to offer the best service.
Excellent location. Character Hotel hidden in King's Lynn. Friendly staff. Great bar area and garden
Breakfast could have been better only got one slice of toast with my poached eggs and only one small cup of coffee
Clean room. en suite washing facilities. Clean shower. Helpful staff. Off road parking. Late check out time.
Nothing to complain about.
Nice comfy room, friendly staff, cosy friendly hotel within walking distance of the town, excellent breakfast
Location was very good. Central but quiet. Had an early start so missed Breakfast.
Evening was fine. Suited my needs so no complains.
Everything was just right. Very helpful and friendly
Location and quaintness
Rooms looking a bit tired. Some painting and repairs needed
L hôtesse a été a notre ecoute, souriante,et nous a facilité notre départ très matinal.
