Location was excellent too, only a short walk through a parkland to get to town centre, and only a short drive away from many more attractions. Would highly recommend a stay!

Karl is very odd. The breakfast if is probably the worst food Iv ever come across. Bacon was way under cooked, the sausage I’m not sure what they were and the mushroom We’re pretty much raw. There was no ounce of cooking involved. Karl is very weird and quite abrupt, we were working long days and nights and my son left our keys in the room which really made Karl mad and he threw an issie fit. There was talk of a maid, however our room was cleaned once or beds changed over a 3 night period. The toilet was supposed to be ours however someone else was using it and left poo on the floor. All in all I suppose you get what you pay for. PS do not knock the pictures hanging on the wall up the staircase out of square this really annoys Karl

Our room was quite shabby and needs to be updated and redecorated. Blinds need replacing urgently. Karl and Jude were very welcoming and were keen to ensure we had everything we needed.

Our room was chilly and rather cramped.

The breakfast and the room was very nice. Very attractive decor. Good parking space which is a real bonus and free parking.

I felt a sense that keen for guests to leave so could do the chores. As a guest it is nice for that to be a bit more hidden. A guest will know you would like to do this but feeling it is immediate does not make you feel fully valued.

Pleasant quiet place to stay in the town with an off street car park. An easy walk to the centre. So a good base to see a fascinating town, with a lot to see of historical interest and well worth a visit. Very welcoming and helpful host. Nice breakfast. Very clean.

Felt very homely, almost as if you were staying with family or friends, rather than in a hotel with complete strangers. Theeeee most comfortable bed I think I have EVER slept in!!!

We loved our room with the pretty wallpaper, very comfortable beds, and considering the house had many guests, and the room was facing the road, it was dead quiet, we could hear a pin drop.

Would have liked healthier breakfast options like avocado or smoked salmon, fresh fruit salad, however the breakfast was still delicious.

The location suited our needs perfectly, it was quiet and the free parking was appreciated. There was excellent communication prior to our late arrival and there was a good key safe system for our entry keys, as it was a bank holiday. We soon settled down in our comfortable room with a nice cup of tea. There was even a flask of fresh milk ready for us to collect from the fridge in the breakfast room. We were able to have breakfast at a time convenient for us. It was delicious and freshly prepared to order. We also noticed that Karl and Jude have made a considerable effort to be eco friendly in every respect. We will certainly make a return visit to Fairlight Lodge and highly recommend it to anyone considering staying there.

At home we are used to a king sized duvet on a double bed, so found ourselves fighting over the duvet! A minor grumble really.

A great place to stay, conveniently located in a pretty town. Hosts Karl and Jude are such lovely, helpful people; the room was terrific and the breakfast was delicious. Kings Lynn has a lot to offer, we highly recommend Fairlight Lodge and will definitely return.

Everything was clean and fresh and Karl was very helpful with his knowledge of the surrounding areas. Only a few minutes walk from train station and bus links. Would highly recommend this place. Great location for a stay in King's Lynn. Really good value for money. The room was extremely clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for a few days. The breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice and delicious homemade compote, marmalade and jam. The hosts Jude and Karl are welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable of the local area and really make it a great stay. Thank you.

Breakfast was very good, particularly the yoghurt and fresh fruit, and plenty of choice in the cooked breakfast. Perhaps the coffee could have been hotter. Once I found my way around, the room was excellent and I appreciated being able to walk straight into the garden. My hosts were friendly and well organised.

I never really got a feel of King's Lynn and found driving on Norfolk roads somewhat bad tempered. I achieved a lot however and rated Watatunga highly, having spent some years in Africa.

The hosts, Karl and Jude, where very friendly and polite, the room was comfortable with all the necessary facilities including an on-suite bathroom with shower, the breakfast selection was great and I opted for the cooked breakfast with was prepared to order and cooked to my preference.

Although the room was comfortable, to me, it was outdated and could do with modernising and a more thorough cleaning as when I arrived there where spiders in the bathroom and cobwebs down the side of the chest of drawers that could of easily been removed with a quick vacuum. The outside parking is on the small size, I was traveling in a mid-sized van and found it hard to manoeuvre in the space especially when there where other cars parked there. Although the cooked breakfast was great it would of been nice to have the option of black pudding within the selection.

Everything was perfect. A spotless place, an absolutely warm welcome from Karl who couldn't have been more helpful. Everything about the place was well explained. There's a lot of care that goes into everything Karl and Jude do at Fairlight Lodge. The place is also quite central and has parking. I was able to park the car, and then walk to the train station to pick up my sister, see the fireworks display in the park nearby. We came for a show at the Corn Exchange, it was very easy to walk there and back. Perfect location, highly recommended. The breakfast every day was very tasty, with lots of choice of food cooked on demand, local products, etc. Bonus points for the blackboard describing all the breakfast options :) We had one of the garden rooms, and the view was fantastic, the garden was well cared for. We very much enjoyed it and I will recommend the place to anyone going to King's Lynn

The location was ideal for a weekend of walking on the coast paths. The property is well cared-for and the garden was immaculate. The room was very clean and well set-up. The host's communication was excellent and their welcome was genuine. The breakfast was great. The attention to detail was impressive. This is a good, professional B&B that doesn't cut corners and that offers great value for money.

Not related to the hotel, but be careful driving out of the car park. Cars parked on the road block your view.🫣 And walking back in the darkness drunk, managed to walk pass the hotel 3 times 😀
