Provider-sourced guest reviews.
Plenty of parking, comfortable rooms, food ok
Service at the restaurant was slow. Reception staff excellent
Staff were all very friendly. Everywhere spotlessly clean.Evenig meal and breakfast was great. .Ideally situated for visiting Cadwell park. We have already booked for next year.
Nothing to dislike
Lovely room. It was clean, but the cleaning staff need to look behind lamps etc as several spiderwebs seen. Nice friendly staff.
Location & surroundings.
We stayed last year which is why we rebooked. The cleanliness let it down, our room was very dark & the breakfast was disappointing compared to last year
Clean
Dated tv with poor internet connection
Breakfast offered a good choice, freshly cooked. The room was comfortable, with a good supply of tea & coffee etc. We had Sunday lunch which was excellent.
I would have preferred a walk in shower, & the hot water took a good ten minutes to come through to the shower in the morning.
😍
The food
Excellent
Everything was perfect.
Location Nice room Nice bar
No hot water early same as last year
Very nice hotel and staff very efficient, approachable and friendly. The hotel was very clean and tidy, restaurant lovely with views over river. Would recommend this hotel. Also plenty parking, we stayed 3 days and used local bus service.
Everthing was excellent.
Very clean room and comfortable bed
Missed breakfast as it doesn't start until 8am on Saturday.
Excellent
The breakfast was perfect for a hangover! The staff were lovely and the environment was fun, we went to other venues as we were part of a bigger group but it was lovely.
Nothing really, reading the bad reviews had me slightly worried but it was stunning, I’ll always book this one if we’re in brid going forward.
Convenience and have stayed before, close to Cadwell Park for BSB.
Shower not very hot on 2nd day. All unit surfaces had a sticky residue and a few cobwebs. Toaster just took forever. Gone has the great hospitality of being served Tea/coffee freshly made, now just an awful self service machine.
Food served in the lounge was very yummy (fish and chips was lovely), very cosy restaurant. Bed was comfortable. Reception staff very helpful and sorted my local taxis for me
Only had a few channels on the TV possibly due to signal in remote area.
It was extremely noisy
Excellent location, although the room was very clean and comfortable it seemed a little tired and could have done with a little updating. I was there for two nights and had one stone cold shower and one Luke room shower and this was early morning. I did mention this at reception and as a good will gesture gave me my small breakfast. The service was excellent and staff very professional, I would definitely stay there again. Thank you.
Only what I have previously mentioned, other than the cold shower I was very satisfied with my stay.
Great location for visiting Louth. We were given directions for a fabulous walk for our dog
Bedroom was I need of a spruce. Bathroom floor in particular around the sink needs a good clean
Breakfast was acceptable. Have stayed here a few times before, mainly due to its proximity to race track and the car park being able accommodate car with trailer. They do a free drink voucher if guests forgo housekeeping during their stay. Comfortable restaurant and room. Nice outside terrace for drinks.
Towels and bath mat all stained. Reception lady went to laundry to replace them and admitted she had needed to check a few before finding a properly clean set. Apologies offered. Seem to be skimping a bit on the very pricey breakfast. Not the same quantity or quality we had been served on previous visits. No chopped fresh fruit to have with yoghurt only fruit bowl to prep your own. Had to top up our own coffee at the bar, previously waitress brought jug to table regularly. Just little things but for the price the standards should be kept high.
Good location for me to visit friends and relatives who live in Louth, Grimsby and Cleethorpes Comfortable beds. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. I’ve stayed a number of times now so I like it a lot.
Breakfast was included in my rate but I wouldn’t pay for it separately. Do it yourself machine coffee, limited buffet. I had smashed avocado with poached eggs and sour dough. Tiny piece of sour dough, strange glossy avocado slop which must have come from a tin rather than fresh, eggs were very good though. I think you could do better driving in to Louth and eating at Beaumonts or other places for a similar price of £12pp. Overall I really like the property and I have stayed a number of times. I will stay again but I would book room only or miss breakfast if included in the rate going forward. I haven’t tried evening meals but looks popular so that might be a different story.
The close proximity to Louth and its lovely restaurant
Location was good. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food good. Nice selection of beers too. Room very spacious and clean.
Shower pressure a bit low and took a while to heat but this was a minor problem really. Didn't detract from the overall experience.
Very nice hotel room was very clean and comfortable, staff were excellent and the meals were very good presentation excellent. Definitely be back would highly recommend. 😄
Location was great with plenty of parking
Friendly and helpful staff, good rooms and dinner and breakfast were excellent.
Excellent, as a family we were well catered for
There was nothing to complain about.
Outside space was beautiful
Rooms was way to hot with no fans. The breakfast wasn’t worth the price if you didn’t like mushrooms and black pudding you really got nothing
very helpful & friendly staff, lovely room lovely choice for breakfast
Location, cost, restaurant
lovely location, very very helpful & friendly staff, bed was comfortable. breakfast gorgeous
Location was really beautiful. Breakfast was good, nice selection.
Cleanliness very poor. Room had cobwebs & spiders, Cup was chipped, toilet seat didn't stay up. Kitchen ventilation woke us up very early.
Friendly atmosphere
Well set out
The location & hotel were really nice & the staff were really friendly & helpful.
The room was quite dated,The bed was a fold up one so when your head is on the pillow your legs point downwards & you can feel it in your back,The room had no Aircon or even a fan the room was really hot & humid,The breakfast was not worth the money 1 small sausage 2 small slices of bacon 1 mushroom 1 tomato 1 fried egg & a small pot of beans & it was meant to be a full English,The room furniture was scratched & damaged.
Property was lovey, attended for a wedding and really liked it.
I paid booking.com a few days before I got there. Checked in and got charged a second time for the room. Got over drawn, got charged and didn’t get the money back for 3 days.
Very friendly staff who couldn't do enough for us during our stay.
Unfortunately, there is no air con in the rooms, which was an issue on very hot days
Good sized standard room. Restaurant and bar was good. I ate in-house both nights I was there and though the food was both good and fairly priced.
The drone from the nearby road surprised me - but that is's not the hotel's fault. Proximity to Cadwell Park was the draw for and I was very happy just to get back to the hotel and to be able to relax and eat on the premises
Lovely room and surroundings outside, very welcoming friendly relaxing environment! Will definitely recommend
We stay here often snd never disappointed, we love the restaurant, bar staff and comfy rooms.
Nothing
Helpful friendly staff
The room was a bit tired
The room was clean and comfortable and big. The breakfast was lovely and well presented and quickly served.
The toaster at breakfast was not big enough for the bread and was extremely slow.
Good location good breakfast
Received email advising 12 check out. Then received another
It was beautiful
I have been charged twice! Once via booking .com The other from reception
Great location, easy parking, excellent breakfast, great staff
It was just way too hot in the bedroom
The restaurant food wad amazing highly recommend
The room wasn't up to the standard I'd expect for the price room for improvement
Great stay, clean rooms comfy bed and a good night sleep
Nothing
Free parking
Very outdated bedroom & bathroom We only stayed because we was at a wedding reception but definitely would not stay here again for the money we paid it was very out priced
Comfortable and quiet hotel.
The room was described as a "cosy double" so we thought it would be quite small but it was a decent size room (with a sofa in it) and a good size bathroom. The bed was very comfortable to sleep on. We also requested a fan as it was warm and that wasn't a problem at all.
Breakfast was included but it was ok, small portions and we had to wait quite a while even to get our cutlery and glasses to get a drink.
Location and setting
Basic room that was difficult in the heat.
Ideally situated for visiting the coastal resorts and towns with a feeling of being in the countryside
Due to the heatwave we could have made use of a swimming pool and also could have done with alternative places to sit and enjoy the surroundings
Nice and quiet location but only a short distance to town very nice decor and fabulous staff
Only one complaint shower didn’t have the power to knock the skin of a rice pudding
The room was extremely clean and the bed was so comfy. The food was excellent, both in the evening and for breakfast. A very relaxing place to be and the manager and staff were so friendly.
Nothing.
Very clean staff excellent location very good
Setting
Decor is dated, bed not too comfortable Prom night, so carpark and entrance road busy, waited quite a while for check in. But otherwise, Prom group didn’t affect our stay.
Good location and lovely grounds for a wedding venue. The staff were absolutely brilliant. All were happy, welcoming and helpful, especially as the temperatures were extreme. They alone would make me visit again.
It did t have air conditioning and we stayed during a heatwave. I’ll forgive them for this though, not many UK hotels outside of cities have air con. A fan in the room would have helped, though.
Location . Restaurant on site.
No fans in the room. Curtains wouldn’t close. (We have given feedback to the hotel .)Not quite as good as the photos showed.
Clean
39c and know air conditioning
Was a lovely experience, all staff were friendly and helpful.
As it was so hot, could maybe have fans or air con.
Great
The room was very very hot.. We had to request a fan which was provided immediately but this was a dog friendly room as well and after paying £25 extra would of thought the room would of been more suitable..
Hotel is well situated for me for my work.
There seemed to be clumps of dog hair all over the floor in my room. The TV did not work
The beautiful venue and grounds for my nieces wedding we had a lovely day staff and food was amazing our room was comfy and clean and breakfast was yummy 😋 xx
N/A
Location was great for visiting family , lovely grounds, nice outside bar area
Room was small & very hot, think £25 for the dog for one night is steep!
Nice place
Shower was abit temperamental, didn’t get hot
A nice hotel for the price in a lovely location. The breakfast was very good with nice quality produce. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was well equipped and comfortable with a nice view from the window.
There was a poster in the reception area stating you could purchase a bottle of wine for £14. This offer turned out to be a takeaway price only for people staying in lodges and not for hotel guests, it's misleading.
The only staff members that were friendly and could raise a smile were the 2 ladies on breakfast duties. And they could speak.
The whole of the bar and dinning room team looked like they didn't want to be there, service without the smile.
Lovely room, customer service and overall experience

Very welcoming

Cold tap not working No hot water in the shower
Cold showers
Location Staff
Room too hot. However It was especially hot that night but window was right under the air conditioning unit
Full of character and in an attractive setting.
Would have been helpful to me if the property had a lift as I have mobility problems.
Breakfast was just oky
Took to long and overcooked
Room was a good size- comfortable. Bed was comfortable.
Bathrooms need a refresh and decor needs updating.
The only problem I had was the sink plughole kept draining so had to keep tap running to wash.
Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Room was very spacious and comfortable. Food was amazing
A little dirty in the bathroom and some of the furniture was a little worn
Staff were very helpful and room comfortable.
Breakfast was awful as asked to replace bacon because rok hard plus scrambled eggs sloppy and beans only warm
Location, facilities, comfort
Nothing
Nice rooms, staff friendly, beautiful setting
Had fish and chips in the restaurant, 20 pounds which is fair enough for a hotel , fish was good, chips were awful and couldn’t eat them, tartar sauce detailed on menu as homemade and chunky, clearly cheap and nasty packet squeesed into a bowl. Waitress was apologetic, when it came to paying the bill she indicated to the staff member about removing the chips from the bill and she was shrugged off. They didn’t think I knew what was being spoken about, anyway paid full price, will use hotel again but not the restaurant. It wasn’t about the price purely a disregard to customer satifaction and value ,
Great hotel friendly staff, great stay
Lovely food, helpful staff, facilities, dog friendly, large spacious bedroom, Downstairs bedroom, my greyhound cant handle stairs.
Maybe net curtain on dowstairs bedroom as people walking by can look in, and dont want to pull the curtains in the long summer evenings.
Beautiful property, the restaurant was lovely and the food had generous portions.
Heating was on full during May, it was completely unnecessary. My window didn't open and there were no fans to borrow, seemed contradictory to the poster saying to not request cleans to help the environment. The curtain had holes in it and stains, so for the price the property felt a lot more dated and in need of some TLC compared to how it is afvertised.
Quiet.
Heating in the corridor was on
Convenient for Cadwell Park which is why I stay here. Sensible price for room standard. Good restaurant for evening meal. Good breakfast.
It’s a little tired but not too bad.
The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff were very helpful and cheerful.
Only one hot chocolate. No biscuits.
Location.
Not clean, everything you touch is sticky. First Flloor carpet smells
Location and Hotel
Noise in room from kitchen downstairs
Corridor door banged until 00.40; tooth mugs were dirty; TV didn’t work; shower screen kept falling closed
Wedding
Nothing
Nice room with a lovely view of the garden
Now water when we arrived - local burst pipe - not hotel's fault!
Beautiful but I was made to feel unwelcome . I am on a charity walk and was made to feel less then
No TV or early breakfast
Easy to find and book in, staff were lovely and helpful, and a lovely room. We particularly loved the restaurant, serving wonderful food.
Breakfast was very good
No Grab Rails in the bathroom
Comfortable room. Excellent breakfast. Lovely evening meal
Stairs were an obstacle for us with our luggage. We like to open windows for fresh air but found drone from Kitchen below room bit noisy for sleeping. OK when turned off. Over bath shower made floor wet between toilet and hand basin. Bedroom seating could do with a bit more padding.
Nice setting outside Louth. Friendly staff in the bar and restaurant. Good size bedroom and bathroom. Nice food and wine
My friend had a problem in her room. The tap in the bath was stuck and she couldn’t empty the water out. We reported it to reception but that evening when we returned, her bath was still full of cold water. So she could not take a bath. She had a en-suite bath that she couldn’t use. We reported it again when we checked out and asked for some discount or some refund but our request was met with a laugh! Not what we expected at all and it left a nasty taste. An offer of some money back would have been the correct response as she had expected to be able to use the bath but she couldn’t.
Great place for a wedding event Super staff and lovely rooms
Very comfortable beds
Breakfast ( Full English)was por for the price we paid. 1 sausage 2 Bacon Teaspoon of beans Mushroom was rubbery Non grilled tomato Black pudding. No sauces offered.
Lovely spacious room with beautiful bed and bathroom. Great food. Helpful and attentive staff.
