What I didn’t like was the noise, as our room faced the main street and we could hear bystanders chatting late at night. I was also unsure if the pillows, bedsheets, and duvet cover were freshly cleaned, so I didn’t use them and just wore warm pyjamas instead.

Établissement vétuste qui aurait besoin d’une rénovation totale ! Propreté des moquettes et tapis douteuses. Isolation phonique inexistante pour les chambres donnant sur la rue très bruyante.

Reviewed Oct 15, 2025la cosa migliore di questa struttura è stata il gestore, una persona di una disponibilità, gentilezza ed umanità come pochi. Ci ha persino offerto la colazione, per farsi perdonare per un disguido verificatosi durante il nostro soggiorno (vedere sotto). La stanza è semplice ma va più che bene per chi non ha eccessive pretese. La posizione molto buona, ad una decina di minuti dal centro. Ho trovato Waterfod una città molto gradevole.
La stanza dove abbiamo alloggiato affacciava sulla molto trafficata strada principale ed essendo i vetri della finestra male isolati acusticamente, la nostra notte non è stata delle migliori. In fase di prenotazione raccomando di chiedere una stanza interna.

It is a small commercial hotel, so bathroom small. But, as they say you get what you pay for!

Reviewed Aug 31, 2025The host, Michael, was affable and helpful. I'm somewhat loath to leave this honest review, as he may be doing his best to restore a derelict property, but he's been at it for 20 years, by his own account.
In fairness, at least one room (201) looks quite nice; however, our room (203) was dingy, smelly, poorly ventilated, and sparsely furnished, with numerous holes in the walls. The carpet was in good shape, and the room was moderately clean, although the bathroom had some mold in the shower. The breakfast, cooked to order, was good, but the carpet in the dining room was appallingly stained and old. I'd have thought that would be a priority renewal item.

La moquette andrebbe decisamente tolta/cambiata. Le finestre di entrambe le camere davano all'interno verso altro edificio: zona sporca e non entrava buona aria!

L'asciugacapelli non funziona e forte odore all'accesso alla camera. Ho dovuto arieggiare per oltre un'ora. Nel bagno il ventilatore di estrazione aria era quasi del tutto intasato da depositi grigiastri che ho rimosso con un bastoncino. Esperienza da non credere.

Pokój, który nie powinien pojawić się w ofercie. Mały z malutkim oknem na brudną ścianę i dach. Do tego pracujący agregat klimatyzacji. Dobrze, że po interwencji zarządzający dał rabat na wynajęte pokoje.

Reviewed Aug 4, 2025Der Gastgeber ist sehr bemüht und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück ist auch sehr gut und vor allem alles was man braucht ( und das für 5€/Person) Die Livemusik aus dem Pub war kein Problem.
Die Dusche ist schon sehr veraltet und die Türen auch.

Reviewed Jul 21, 2025I really liked the location — it's within easy walking distance of all the main attractions and right across from the main bus station. The shower had great water pressure and plenty of hot water, and I appreciated the kettle and complimentary tea bags in the room. The person at the reception was very friendly and super helpful.
The room had a noticeable smell of cigarette smoke despite the non-smoking policy, combined with a damp, moldy odor. The twin bed mattresses were uncomfortable and clearly need replacing. The view from my window was also quite unpleasant — just some unattractive zinc rooftops. Considering all this, the price felt quite high for what was offered.

Reviewed Jun 22, 2025Honestly the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. It was the only room left in town, so we booked it. I would recommend changing your travel plans if that is the case for you. I am not picky so I thought some of the reviews might be extreme. But it is much worse than you can imagine. The man checking us in was lovely, and deserves a better hotel to work in. They need to invest money into the place in every way, it was overall a depressing and disquieting experience.
The walls and ceiling were stained with some splashes, so gross. Carpet on stairs is torn and ancient. The bathroom had curling lino and stained shower. The window opened onto a corrugated steel wall. The room was sweltering but the open window had an industrial fan outside it that ran all night, the noise was awful. Completely bare walls, with screws where pictures once were. The windowsill was deteriorated and grossly sticky.

The shower was fairly good. However the whole place was very dated and very noisy at night. So much that I was woken up several times. On one occasion I could hear the person in the next room snoring. I even watched something on my ipad at 1 o'clock.

Reviewed Jun 16, 2025This location is perfect to walk from the train station. It is an easy walk to museums and Waterford Crystal. There were many pubs and restaurants near by. The best was the breakfast every morning. It was made fresh and to your specific order. The bed was comfortable. The room and bath was very clean.
We had a room facing the street. Road noise and the nearby pub was loud until about 11pm. We knew that was a possibility before booking.

L'établissement est situé au bord d'une rue avec un traffic routier important, et il y a un pub à proximité, donc pour dormir au calme, il vaut mieux demander une chambre côté cours.
