The Woburn

We received a complimentary upgrade to a luxurious room situated in the courtyard.

The staff are wonderful, when we arrived I had mistakenly booked the wrong weekend and they changed it at no additional cost which was a lovely ...and got me out of an impending dog house 😬. We have stayed here a few times , a lovely hotel in a beautiful village.

The room and setting were great with lovely tea, coffee and toiletries. The room aesthetic and decor were very nice, as was the view The room also had a fan, which was welcome!

Was given a dirty room in error, it was an unfortunate start. There was crashing below my room until the early hours. It was a weekend break to relax and I left more tired that when I arrived, sadly.

Not good value for money. More than double the price of a Premier Inn, but with a smaller room, with no air conditioning. Only two 'English Breakfast' tea bags, no fridge. Room very warm. Although fans were provided, it was too warm by most people's standards for good sleep. I expected more , when paying over £200 for one night in a very cramped double room, and that was without paying for breakfast.

Super friendly staff and a very good breakfast.

Pillows were not good. Amenities in room quite basic, it's an old hotel that still needs some updating. The shower pressure was dire. There is an advisory note in the bathroom not to drink the water yet only two small bottles of water were provided in the room. This is not sufficient.

Excellent last minute stay lady on reception was really helpful to accommodate us,as we had our pet dog with us

When arrived we eventually met with a young man that chucked our room card, he said we were up stairs we asked about food that evening and was told it was a long wait for food and even drinks then he rushed off. He didn't give us chance to ask about registering our car if needed or when breakfast times. So we decided to go else where for a drink we found him very rude. The next morning we could still got any help and ending googling the time and had to ask a work man that was very helpful shame you hotel staff isn't.

Very good location in the village and next to the deer park. Good parking. Very good breakfasts and evening meals. Helpful and friendly receptionists.Clean rooms.

Some,but not all,of the staff serving at mealtimes weren’t very friendly. No fault of the hotel, but it was extremely hot in our room as stayed during a heatwave. A fan was available.

The whole place needs a good clean up and some renovation. The bedrooms quite nice, but the bathrooms are very tired. Toilet was stained inside, yellow marks on shower flimsy curtain. Chipped paint etc. Just needs an update as bathrooms get so battered and it shows. The restaurant offers uninteresting menu, more like pub grub, the usual pizza, kofta and chicken wings. They used to have a more inspiring choices. Also stopped selling Aspal cider !!

Rooms are well appointed and beds are comfortable, unfortunately no AC in the room and the two temporary fans didn’t make sleeping any easier, very hot!

The location is perfect, the car parking convenient. The staff were really pleasant and helpful.

I so much wanted to like this place but it is a hodgepodge and quite impersonal; not the staff, they were friendly. The courtyard dining/drinking area became noisy both evenings with drinkers and they were so close to the cottage. The cottage was comfortable but substituting a bedroom bath for a shower was thoughtless. Difficult to get into, impossible to reach the toiletries whilst sitting, which you had to do unless you wanted to spray everywhere. Service in the courtyard was not good. Essentially it was a pub with rooms.

The room was unbearably hot. They put in 4 fans but that didn’t make any difference. I appreciate it was a very hot day but they should not have used that particular room in the circumstances. The breakfast was poor.

The location and the breakfast were both lovely. We particularly liked the courtyard to sit outside and socialise.

When we first arrived, we rang the bell 3 times before anyone came, I think they may need more staff. It was a very busy hotel, with a lot of guests to help. I think the rooms need an update, especially the showers.

The rooms are cosy and the bed was super comfortable. The food was amazing!

The location was very convenient, and having parking available was a big plus. The room was spacious, clean, and the bed was very comfortable.

It was 27°C outside on the day we stayed, and the room became very hot, probably because the roof heated up during the day. There were two fans in the room, which helped, but they were already struggling to keep the room comfortable. The windows were also very small, so it was difficult to properly air out and cool the room, even at night.

The staff was friendly and the food was nice.

For the price we paid (a lot) the room was very very small and very hot. Granted there was a heatwave which is out of their control, but he fan they provided did nothing and they have no AC sadly. I don’t think I would choose to stay in this hotel again, it wasn’t good value for money.

The rooms need refurbishment, the carpets are stained and i was in a suite, i wonder how the regular rooms are. There was no AC and i wanted to open the window but it is disgusting from outside filled with spider webs. The housekeeping wasn't consistent, one day they'll put a new water bottle, new clean cups and another they'd change nothing.

The whole experience was excellent, staff arranged us an early check in which we paid additional for to catch up on much needed sleep. Staff kind, helpful and friendly. Room small but functional, comfortable, spotless. Breafast was outstanding, generous serving of coffee/ tea. Location excellent for the delights of Woburn

A huge thank you to everyone at the Woburn Inn Hotel for putting on the early morning World Cup match on Sunday night into Monday. To be serving food and drinks, and doing it all with a smile at 2:00am, is genuinely exceptional. The team were upbeat, welcoming and full of energy despite the time of night, and nothing was too much trouble. The service was first class throughout. This was also the third time we've watched football at the Woburn, and every visit has been brilliant. It's such a relaxed setting with a fantastic atmosphere, great food, great people and a real community feel. It's quickly become one of our favourite places to watch the big games. A massive well done to the whole team. The effort you put into creating these events doesn't go unnoticed, and it really shows. We can't wait for the next one and will definitely be back. Keep up the fantastic work!

It was booked due to its proximity to a meeting but it was so much more than that. The accommodation was outstanding and a lovely surprise, the staff were very pleasant and helpful, the food was very good and we greatly enjoyed the visit. We will definitely return for a longer stay to explore.

Good location, Woburn is a lovely little village, easy parking, decent size room. I was in a cottage which was an upgrade. A bit mixed, room was nice enough, had a little lounge area on the mezzanine level, bathroom a bit tired, cramped and in need of a deep clean, no shelves or anywhere to place anything. Fridge was on the mezzanine level yet coffee/kettle in the bedroom below which was a bit odd (no fresh milk either). Friendly staff at check in. Food/drink good but service slow and poor.

You entered the room direct from the pub's beer garden so not much privacy as a table and chairs outside directly up against the bedroom window (was on ground floor). Although I went out until late evening so when I got back the garden had emptied out I can imagine at weekends the beer garden would be quite crowded and loud, so need to bear that in mind if you have one of the outside rooms. For me the worst thing was the really uncomfortable bed, it has got to be the worst hotel bed I've had in a long time. I might as well of slept on the floor it was so hard and uncomfortable with a huge dip in the middle as was two beds pushed together. Usually I would expect a mattress topper. I usually like a firm mattress but this was ridculously hard. Room was very hot and stuffy despite having two fans, being ground floor you couldn't leave the windows open.

Fantastic location for Whipsnade and Bletchley Park. Lovely walks from the hotel, especially through the deer park at Woburn Abbey. Nice room, friendly staff. Great customer service with an accidental breakage.

Beautiful setting, courtyard, and external 2 floor accommodation for us. 2nd time we have stayed in a dog-friendly room at The Woburn.. As the weather was extremely hot the staff were very helpful with our requests which helped to keep our dog cool as our sleeping space was very warm. We used the bar and staff service for food and drinks, all of which were fantastic….beautifully prepared and promptly delivered and attended

Room service seemed slightly disorganised and inconsistent. However staff were clearly very busy and had a lot to do. Direct requests were fulfilled.

The ambiance of the hotel was excellent, the evening meals were very good. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable but could do with a bit of refurbishment. The fact that the hotel placed a fan in our room and along the corridor, as it was extremely hot, was very thoughtful.

We have now stayed here a number of times and the experience has got better and better . We love the location and the room was ideal for our requirements. All the staff were friendly and helpful .

More English breakfast tea bags provided to cover our stay would have saved having to ask for more at reception but this was minor and overall not a lot to dislike .

Great location in Woburn town and a short walk to see the Deer in the park! Onsite parking , pub and food with table service to our studio.

Had a fabulous weekend staying at the Woburn. Very lovely and comfortable hotel with excellent & friendly staff service, comfortable rooms and wonderful food. The courtyard, surrounded what would’ve originally been horse stables, was a wonderful place to sit and drink and taking the fine ambience.

Fabulous food. Superb staff, very helpful and friendly. De Havilland room very comfortable a good size and very clean. The Woburn is in an excellent location.

Bulbs in dressing table lamps missing making hairdrying difficult without main light on. There is a clear message requesting the use of main lighting for energy saving!

The apartment was very spacious and the bath was very lovely. Staff in the bar were very polite and helpful

The noise. The walls are paper thin and you can hear absolutely everything. Also the noise from outside in the courtyard, at night it was really noisy and then again first thing in the morning with trolleys being pulled backwards and forwards across the courtyard.

Lovely setting. Staff was all very friendly and helpful the whole time. Food was great, lovely meals inxluding breakfast.

Booked cottage on outside. Admittedly we should have considered this and do take our share of responsibility for booking it. But by anyone’s standards the noise if unacceptable. With two small children. (Which I suppose booked a hotel a stones throw from Woburn Safari isn’t too unbelievable) the noise in a joke and unacceptable. Clearly not thought out, whilst I say we take responsibility for booking a cottage. I can’t imagine anyone on that side of the hotel or anyone in the cottages would find the noise acceptable. So in summary Good for families - no. Good to sleep - no Relaxing - no Value for money - no

As resident of Woburn who has been a patron of this Hotel in its many guises over the and most recently entrusting the Hotel to my daughters wedding last July, I was horrified and disappointed with the service of the Manager on last Friday. Having been asked to to leave our outside seating to go inside as this is policy after a certain time, we were unable to find an inside table that was not covered in dirty plates and glasses. We asked if someone could clear a table for us and then we sat down. We were then approached by the manager who thought we had complained about being directed inside. We pointed out this was not the case and rather than apologise for his mistakes, he doubled down and complained about us complaining when they have been so busy ! When I stood up to explain that he perhaps should have cleared the tables before he asked us to come inside he told me, ‘to get out of his face and leave’ When I pointed out that this was his mistake, he again told us to leave or he would call the police. We finished our over priced drinks and then left and will never set foot in the premises again. Our friends are also Woburn residents and regular patrons of the Hotel and we all agreed that the managers over reaction to a simple request to clear a table was both inappropriate and quite honestly juvenile.

I was on the ground floor so couldn't leave my windows open (it was a hot day), a fan was provided. The window fitments were rather worn with no locks. There was a shower curtain which wasn't very effective. The pillows were very hard.

The location was ideal.

The breakfast was terrible. We waited 45 minutes for it to arrive and when it did it was cold. The food had clearly been standing and inedible

Poppers found in fridge also used drink, bin had rubbish in complained long time ago never got anything back but if it was cleaned properly it would of been a nice stay

We stayed in the Thorney suite, which was beautiful - comfortable, clean, and we particularly appreciated having fans in the warm weather! Having a private table outside the suite is a great idea. The parking was good (we were visiting for a car event so had two special cars with us), the staff were brilliant, and the food was excellent at both dinner and breakfast.
