My door lock/type was changed while I was out, I wasn't aware and returned not being able to get into my room for 10mins until I queried with reception, not an issue, part of the adventure

We got a triple room eventhough we order a double room. We were promised an upgrade on our second night but on the morning the receptionist had no revord if it. The continental breakfast left alot to be desired, poor selection and inferior quality. The hotel could easily do much better with minimal effort.

Reviewed Aug 13, 2026Das Hotel liegt an der Hauptstraße. Restaurants und Supermärkte sind fußläufig erreichbar. Die Zimmer waren sauber und groß. Die Einrichtung und besonders das Badezimmer. sind ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen. Hier besteht wirklich Überholungsbedarf. Für den Preis leider zu teuer.
Das Frühstück ist etwas minimalistisch ausgefallen. Es gab nichts, was man hätte bestellen oder aussuchen können. Das typische "Irish Beakfast" erhält man hier nicht. Es gibt auch sonst keine warme Speisen außer ein paar abgekochten Eier. Frisches Obst erhält man hier auch nicht. Toast, Marmelade, abgepackte Wurst/Käse und ein paar Cornflakes/Müsli ist das, was man hier erhält. Das war mit Abstand das schlechteste Frühstück, welches wir in unserem Irland Urlaub zu uns genommen haben.

Reviewed Aug 5, 2026Alles war gepflegt und sauber. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend. Es war wirklich klasse. Wir können es mir empfehlen. Wir waren zwei Erwachsene und ein Kleinkind. Das Hotel war sehr kinderfreundlich. Das Zimmer war außergewöhnlich groß. Das Badezimmer hatte sogar eine Badewanne -perfekt zum Relaxen.

Bathroom was a little dated and shower temperature control difficult. Hairdryer was pretty old and ineffective : the concentrator nozzle was held on by a piece of cellotape and kept falling off.

Absolutely nothing, except we were in Ireland during a heat wave and we are from Ca, US and are so used to Air Conditioning and there wasnt any, but hoes tu ly that was the norm. Not alo t of places have air conditioning.

Das ein oder andere könnte mal repariert werden, wie z.B. die Spülung an der Toilette oder der Föhn. Die Bar war nicht wirklich gemütlich.

Reviewed Jul 12, 2026The staff are lovely. The hotel is right in the middle of the village and is handy to the nature reserve, the boat trip to Garinish Island and there are several eating places nearby.
The room was stifling in the heatwave. Temperatures in high 20s. No AC. Window only partially opened so even when nighttime air temperature cooled, the room stayed hot, making it difficult to sleep. Fans should be provided.
