Nice rooms well equipped lovely pool and quiet inside with just 8 rooms
There is a lot of street noise as the hotel is on a busy corner.
Terrific value for a stay in Loreto. Clean, safe, reasonable quiet. Room was decent, comfy bed, clean and well equipped washroom. Had a small room that was great for storing luggage to gain some room. Bikes available but pretty old, kayaks available we didn't use them. A 20 minute walk to downtown.
Kitchen was sparse. Needs some bowls, a decent knife would be nice. There is a well equipped common outdoor kitchen but we were mostly doing small breakfast prep in the room.
Very spacious and well built compound with pool and great community kitchen. Perfect for family reunion or several families. Our large suite included a well appointed kitchen. Spotlessly clean. Bicycles available. We would stay here again.
The lodging is not on the beach but it is only a short walk to the beach and Malecon.
Location is great since is very close to everything
We had a 2-bedroom suite at the hotel - it was comfortable and clean. The pool area was lovely, also very clean. We appreciated the espresso machine in the communal kitchen. The staff were amazing (Saul and Elizabeth). Recommendations for a local taxi driver and dive shop were also terrific. The town and waterfront are both within an easy walk of the hotel. We felt safe walking everywhere.
The hotel offers sit-on kayaks, bicycles and snorkelling equipment for guests use. The bicycles were ok for short jaunts but not in great repair. Everything has been well-used for many years. The closest beach (Playa la Negrita) is somewhat rocky, and people are allowed to drive vehicles on it - it wasn't our favourite beach. There was a huge police presence in the town including vehicles with officers with machine guns.
Clean and comfortable. Although staff was not onsite 24/7 Saul the manager was around every day and always available by phone/text. He was extremely responsive to our requests. Liked the fridge coffeemaker and microwave in the room. Although we didn’t use it the fully equipped outdoor kitchen and bbq is a plus. Large supermarkets are within walking distance. Pool is heated to a comfortable 80. Great place to hang around during the day
Although it is within walking distance of the main town and restaurants in the evening in November it is dark by 6. The streets have uneven sidewalks and in some places are dark. Our solution was to walk to the hotel along the malecon which was well lit and had good walkways. It is a more pleasant walk. Never felt unsafe
Good location not far from malecon and center of town. Good access to restaurants, coffee shops. Unit included free drinking water and pool was located within steps of our suite. Staff and the owner were friendly and helpful.
Not much.
Excellent place to stay 5 min walk to center of town Malecon Beach view . Hotel has bikes for guest to use no extra cost amazing for use and safe rooms very clean and property well maintained pool clean ready for use everyday. Saul person incharge was Excellent host very attentive to our needs recommend ro stay at playa boutique
Actually had interactions with property owner and his management staff. Great to chat with people that are accommodating and accountable. Had an overbooking issue and owner Jeff made arrangements for us to relocate to another property for the last two days of our fishing trip at no additional cost! Place was clean and well cared for. Managed well. Responded to every request or question quickly. Will definitely be back
The manager, Saul, was very friendly and helpful. They had a very nice pool and courtyard and bikes to use, and snorkeling gear, and even kayaks.
What a great little place to stay. The hotel manager and co manager were both so kind. They went up and above customer service. I'll definitely be back. It was about a 7 minute walk to the beach and restaurants. 4 minutes to the store. A little of the tourist area which was great.
Amazing, management was excellent
Super friendly, helpfull hosts. Room was large, comfortable and clean. Sheets, towels, shower, bed all excellent. Heated pool is amazing.
I loved having access to bikes and the pool was warm and sparkling and the property manager was always available. Also came with unlimited drinking water. Full kitchen the suite was very roomy and great views.
Jeff is a great and attentive host. He helped us arrange tours and taxis. He has a great knowledge of the area and has good contacts. We can't recommend his place more!
There was a coffee maker with coffee and filters, hot plate, microwave, dishes, bowls, silverware. We were up stairs and had a view of toward the ocean and of the pool. We also had a patio just outside our door with a table and chairs. There was a downstairs kitchen also that was used for socializing, making food, and hanging out. Large secure parking lot. There are several bicycles available for use without cost. There are also kayaks.
We had a very pleasant time here. Raul was very helpful and it was great to have the bikes to ride.
Close to everything, feels like home. Great staff; Saul knows people!
The staff was very friendly and completely helpful. I enjoyed the fact that we had access to bicycles and could use them at any time also the pool and poolside were great. I will stay there again definitely
Beautiful, clean, welcoming, highly recommend. Enjoyed every minute.
Cindy the hostess was exceptionally fantastic with great recommendations, and the pool / outdoor kitchen was awesome. Also the pelican perch we stayed in had fabulous views.!
Nothing!
Breakfast was not included but there was a wonderful, well equiped common kitchen that we used a couple of times. We stayed in the penthouse and a kitchenette was provided with a large refrigerator. We barbequed downstairs. There was a partial view of the water and they provided bicycles for guests to ride. The Malecon was within walking distance.
We wished maps of Loreto were provided, but we found our way with maps on line. Sometimes it's just nice to have an old fashion paper map. They did; however, have many brochures and excursions and restaurant info.
We enjoyed our stay at the Loreto Boutique Hotel. We especially loved the bike access and rode them often into town which was only minutes away. Jeff was very accommodating and set up up with a great tour with Lalo to Coronado Island.
It was fabulous. It was easy to get to and very friendly and comfortable. They have a lovely pool which is heated enough to make February swimming very nice. We had the penthouse upstairs room with a fantastic view. The bed was perfect and the room was quiet. We highly recommend.
Propiedad sobrevalorada. No regresaríamos.
Jeff the proprietor, was very helpful and friendly! The property was safe quiet within walking distance of town.
Nice people
We stayed in the room on the second story with a large patio with cooking facilities and also a 3rd floor area with a hammock and loungers. The hosts were great and extremely informative. We used the free hotel bikes for roaming around town. It was a far nicer place to stay than the one used by our kayak tour company that was on the beach but not well maintained.
It was a bit far from the center, but with the bikes, this wasn't an issue.
Wonderful owners who are very hands on. They guided us to area locations. Likely one of the best experiences that we have had.
Wow, what a great place to stay! We had a bedroom with two king beds, a larger kitchen than we have at home, and plent of room to boot. There is also a heated pool. Parking is off the street and secure. The location is pretty close to the malecon and a reasonable walk to the town square. The owners are super nice, from Alaska. The photo is of a sunrise from our balcony. We will be back!!
Wonderful owners. Great small hotel to stay.
Came for 5 nights and had a great time. Place is super cute and clean. We stayed in the Pelican room, which had a nice view! Beds were comfortable. Short walk to the marina and to the center of town. Easy access to everything. The hotel has bikes that you can take out and enjoy the town on and the hotel owners were super sweet and helpful. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!
Really nice. Convenient location makes Loreto walkable. Cindy is kind and helpful.
We had a safe and pleasant stay. Cindy made us feel welcome and helped us out a lot. The grounds including parking were very tidy. Just a short walk to the beach and town.
Wonderful accommodations, secure & friendly. Bikes available for use which is handy as it is a bit of a walk to the Malecon.
Great location and the bikes available made it so easy to bike into town for groceries and restaurants. Our accommodations were amazing! Comfortable bed, plenty of drawers and closet space to unpack and get comfortable. The outdoor kitchen and patio space was great but the top floor lounging area was beautiful with the ocean view, hammock and chairs.Cindy was a wealth of information for restaurants and activities.
Softer pillows would be great! The address is on Davis St but the entrance is around the corner unmarked so difficult to find. The owner was extremely helpful when I called and directed me to the entrance. I think it would help to have better instructions as to where to put trash/recycle and housekeeping services. We were supplied with plenty of towels for 4 days but no housekeeping was offered. It was not a problem but our floor got quite dusty after a couple of days and needed to be mopped.
We had a wonderful short getaway. The room was spacious and comfortable. The pool was perfect. Cindy was a great host and met all our needs upon arrival through departure. We loved riding the bikes along the malecon and borrowing the beach gear for a beach day. Our stay in Loreto was perfect!
The location of the property was 3 minutes away from the malecon and the marina. It was short walking distance to the plaza for shopping and eating. You have access to bikes on the property to get around. The pool was amazing! Our room had a kitchen but we ended up cooking/barbequing in the outdoor kitchen which was fabulous. Cindy who is the host that lives there was fantastic. She has all of the connections you would need to truly experience Loreto. Also if you ever need anything for your room she had access to get!
Nothing,
This was one of the best stays we've had in our travels. The hotel is indeed 'boutique' but this contributes to the charm. The rooms are nicely decorated, the hosts (Jeff and Linda) were incredibly nice and helpful. Easy walk to the main plaza and malecon of Loreto and they helped us arrange tours and recommended restaurants. Loreto is a wonderful destination and we will be back!
Well appointed, clean, friendly owners, safe.
It is on a major street and we were on the second floor where we could hear traffic. Unfortunately there is a speed bump right at the hotel.
Our place was spacious, clean and had a full kitchen and view deck. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Easy walk to the oceanside Malecon, with Sea of Cortez and island views. Town is right there with a nicely set up no-car pedestrian walkway street, some great restaurants, and of course the 1693 mission.
Like much of Loreto town, the property abutted a road. Locals use the roads as drag strips. Too many favor loud engines, exhaust systems and radios after dark. Loreto is for me otherwise a wonderful place. I have to be careful to check that my lodging isn't near a well-travelled road. Such info is generally missing on line.
We loved our stay here. The owners and staff were friendly and helpful, room was very clean and well appointed with a very comfortable bed, walk in shower with nice hot water, and quiet.
Excellent, welcoming host (Cyndi). The Vista Grand suite is terrific with lots of room, two king sized beds, a full kitchen, separate dining table, and a comfortable sitting area with 2 couches. TV reception is odd - abot every 3 channels works but there are several to chose from and the channels may not be the same the next day. About a five block walk to the town square where there are plenty of restaurants. The malacon walk is also within easy disctance from the hotel.
The property had everything we needed and we liked the location. Cindy is exceptionally welcoming and helpful.
We liked everything.
Really nice place. Perfect for my travel companion/girlfriend and me.
Clean place. Easy place to walk anywhere. Very friendly people. Comfortable room and safe. I would go back again.
Our room included an outdoor balcony and kitchen which we used and enjoyed. The property also had great shared spaces and pool. Cindi was very helpful and the place is well maintained and managed. Beaches and commercial areas are very accessible. We walked and biked everywhere.
I have absolutely nothing negative to say about Loreto Playa Boutique Hotel. If you're looking for an immaculate pristine place to stay in Loreto, made even more perfect by the manager, Cindy, then this is the place. The hotel has kitchen accommodations in each room in addition to a beautiful and very well stocked indoor/outdoor kitchen with propane grill. We were there for four nights and went to restaurants for lunches and two dinners. It was then so relaxing on the other two evenings, after full days with various activities, to chill on the patio, throw dinner on the grill, open a bottle of wine and enjoy the evenings. Cindy, the manager, most definitely went above and beyond the call of duty. She arranged our trip to one of the local islands, a taxi ride to visit the San Javier mission in the surrounding mountains as well as taxis to the airport and anything else we fancied. I very highly recommend this hotel!
Location was just a few blocks away from the main plaza square so very convenient yet far enough away to be quiet. Stayed in the Pelicans perch room and there were two amazing decks plus a small outdoor kitchen and large fridge.
Our stay was amazing. We had the upper room with the patio and deck above. The bed was most comfortable, decor matched, filtered water, decorative mirrors, cooking supplies, frig, microwave and toaster oven, coffee pot with coffee! We were blown away. Cindy was a great host
Property manager Cyndi guided me to or arranged transportation, boat tour of Isla Coronado, restaurants and best bar in town (Augie's). Friendly and super helpful. The property itself truly inviting, and the Pelican's Perch suite was spacious and isolated (quiet). Easy walking access to the malecon, historic center and numerous good restaurants.
The property was spacious, private and very comfortable. Our room was clean and had all kitchen needs for your vacation trip. The location was very convenient , only a few minute walk to the beach. The pool was clean and relaxing. And last but not least our host Cindy was super helpful; especially if it’s your first time in Loreto! Definitely a hotel I would stay at again next time my family and I visit Loreto.
everything was excellent on our stay.
The property felt very homey. There are only about 5-6 suites which are nice sized with small kitchen. Beautiful heated pool and outside area. Excellent location for walking to beach, restaurants or plaza. Complimentary bicycles. Highly recommend. Loreto is small, very friendly and safe community.
Cindy & Jeff were helpful in assisting us as was needed. Either with health or taxi issues. Accommodating to special requests. Comfortable setting , close to beach.
Cindy was friendly, attentive and very helpful, setting us up with local services and excursions, suggesting things to do and places to eat. Very inviting. This little hotel is cute and casual, with a great vibe. Close to town and the beach, and quiet.
We enjoyed a 5 night stay over Labor Day weekend at Loreto Playa which was conveniently located to the Loreto Malecon and downtown area. Although there were a few hiccups, the on-site manager (Cyndi) was very responsive in addressing them. The pool was lovely and quite refreshing after very hot days. One caveat is that many restaurants were closed perhaps because September is off-season for the area. Also some boutiques were closed either temporarily or permanently which was a disappointment. Otherwise enjoyed our stay and hope to return.
Very private. Nice grounds. Friendly and helpful staff.
All the comforts of home, plus more! Staff and owners were amazingly helpful in finding us fun things to do, where to eat and even how to buy donuts! (That one was for you, Cyndi!) A memorable experience for sure. We will be back!
It’s not so unique but I have been traveling a lot before the pandemic and I am starting to like these Botique hotels. Cindy was great and the room was very nice with a great shower and bed. The property is cute and quiet. Something you don’t get with the more corporate places. The bikes are great because loreto is so small. It’s just a more personal experience with out the property manager getting annoying. The room was spacious with a kitchenette and that is all you need because no one cooks for themselves in a place like loreto it’s so cheap to eat good food there. I would definitely stay here if I come back. I lived in Cabo San Lucas for 2 years and this place was more comfortable than my house in Cabo
Small, friendly & helpful hosts, short walk to the beach, malecon and town. Felt very safe and didn't worry about coming and going even in the late evening. We walked everywhere even at night. Hope to return!
Linda, Jeff, Katrina, Sally & Cindi couldn’t be more accommodating. The location is great, right in town, right by the water, with a beautiful pool, great coffee, good bikes for every taste. Always good suggestions or arrangements. The place is a work of art, super comfortable, good wifi. A great find.
The hosts, Linda and Jeff, are superb. They do every thing the can to please their guests. They told me their goal was to have thr friendliest family atmosphere possible-and r they did! Staying at this resort was a total pleasure.
I like the location. Traffic sounds are minimal. The staff and owners are attentive, courteous and not at all intrusive for guests. Poolside cooking facility is well done. Pool in excellent condition. Loreto Playa Boutique Hotel is a good place to stay. I will stay there again.
I so enjoyed my stay at this small and unique hotel. Friendly And accommodating owners and staff, clean, quiet, and safe. Extras are having a safe place to put my car (rental), having access to bicycles, stand up board, and a wonderful swimming pool all at no extra charge. Wonderful seating options (tables and chairs) inside and out of the hotel room and patio. Also lounge chairs near the pool. Walk to town very doable. Absolutely NO complaints! Thank you Linda, Jeff, and Cindy! Hope to see you again in my favorite little village town of Loreto!
Very nice, comfortable, secure property, nicely situated within an easy walk to the beach and downtown Loreto. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed using the bicycles that were provided to ride around town. We were happy with our room which had a comfortable bed, sofa, cable tv, and a nicely equipped mini kitchen with refrigerator, stove top, microwave, and coffee maker. All in all we had a very nice stay there and would recommend it without hesitation.
It was absolutely amazing and perfect! Thank you Cindy!
Cindy, the property manager was very welcoming and informative. Loved her. Having bikes available on site was a huge bonus. Felt very safe and secure at all times. The only thing i would say could use help was the mattress. It was a little too soft.
This place is a fabulous 5 room boutique hotel. Linda and Jeff, owners, and Cindy, manager were wonderful. Our room was spacious with sitting area, kichenette, large walk in closet, large tile shower, and very comfortable king bed. The pool was just outside our door and the outdoor kitchen was just beyond the pool. There were also bikes and kayaks to use. We will definitely stay here on our next visit!
Remarkably private and quiet while 2 minutes by bike to the downtown. The availability of bike made it very easy to get all around town. Everyone at Loreto Playa was helpful and kind.
Spacious rooms, location, value for money, friendly staff and guests.
Good location and clean rooms. Nice communal kitchen with all that one needs to prepare meals. I fell in the kitchen on wet floor (was lucky not to break any bones as it was a hard fall). The manager promptly bought anti-slip mats and placed them on the kitchen floor. My negative review of the check-in process pertains to the hassle of getting the payment processed. I arrived late and tired and was asked by the manager to log in to PayPal and send the payment. After 10 minutes of trying to set up my phone for access, the manager finally felt my irritation and said that we would do it in the morning. The last thing one needs is to fiddle with a phone to setup the internet and getting into unused PayPal account while being tired, thirsty, hungry, in need of bathroom time, etc. Some basic courtesy under the circumstances would have been welcomed. But overall it is a pleasant place and I would recommend it to other travelers.
The hotel was beautiful and a great location. The complimentary bicycles made getting everywhere easy. The staff was friendly and helpful booking excursions and for restaurant recommendations. Definitely recommend and will be back in the future.
Our time at La Playa was relaxed and easy. The owners were attentive to our needs and the breakfasts served on the terrace were such a great way to start the day. To look out at the spectacular views of the beach and the town and the mountains made it even more special.
Stayed two nights at the Loreto Playa Bed & Breakfast. It was an absolutely wonderful stay. Robert and Paulette are wonderful hosts and the room was exceptional.
We feel so lucky to have found this B&B. Paulette & Roberto were outstanding hosts in the remarkable town of Loreto. The location was about 6 blocks to town, an easy to walk to the Zocalo/plaza, good restaurants, and all the amenities available to us, including Oscar's day trip to San Javier Mission & his family ranch for a complementary lunch cooked by his mother-in-law, who prepares the tortillas (cooked over mesquite). The room was more than comfortable with a very beautiful terrace/patio complete with hammock & lounge chairs to view the Sea of Cortez. Zita cooks the breakfast & you can have just about anything you want. Her omelets are superb & the chilies relleno are to die for. The table was beautifully set for outside dining--on your own terrace, if you wish, while watching the birds & enjoying the water. Paulette will arrange your tour or fishing expedition and make sure you get the best price. And don't forget to visit her pie shop, Etties' Pies, or ask her to bring you something from the bakery for later. This trip was a celebration of our 50th wedding anniversary, and we couldn't have made a better choice.
Bob and Paulette really knocked them selfs out making us feel like privileged quests breakfast on our private balcony the best home made and perfect this is place not to be missed
Roberto and Paulette, owners of Loreto Playa, were the best! Friendly, helpful, personable, big hearted folks. This was such a wonderful place. We stayed in the upstairs bedroom in the main house - what a room! We had a beautiful terrace and also the roof terrace! Perfect views, perfect settings. The housekeeper, Zita, was the best cook! This was also the best place to eat! Great location, you can walk anywhere and its very safe. If I'm ever in Loreto again, this is where fI'll be staying again.
Loreto Playa Boutique Hotel is a great place to stay for a couple in Loreto! We rented the top floor suite at this charming B & B which was spectacular. It is furnished nicely and has two private decks that have amazing views of the beach and offshore islands. We loved every minute of our stay and felt welcomed by the hosts the moment we arrived. We also really appreciated the wonderful full breakfasts offered complete with a different Mexican entree offered each day. It is also in a good location for strolling into the quaint town centre.
My husband and I could not have asked for a better place to stay in Loreto. The top floor suite was cozy and clean. The bed was comfortable. The views of the Sea of Cortez from our room were amazing. The breakfasts are delicious. Bob and Paulette could not have been kinder or more accommodating. Our hosts arranged a snorkeling trip for us that could not be beat!! Snorkeling on a remote island on Thanksgiving day, it was the bomb!! We were even treated to Thanksgiving dinner with Bob and Paulette. The ambiance and warmth of Playa Loreto can not be beat. My husband and I will be back to Loreto and we would not consider staying anywhere eles!!
