Location was excellent!
Everything was great.
Emplacement parfait
I've stayed here a few times before Location, atmosphere, easy check in, check out, staff always friendly.
Location was great
Plus, it’s right down the street from my favorite bar on the planet. Angie’s bar and bait. A good restaurant too.
Really nice location next to the restaurants, bars and ocean views
Lots of local traffic at night. Loud speakers playing loud music.
The location due to it's proximity to everything. The grounds of the property are kept clean and all plants and decorations are beautiful. Our "apartment " had everything we needed.
Unfortunately, the location right on the malecon becomes the route for locals to ride in their cars/trucks with windows open and music blaring. This goes on for hours. So, VERY NOISY!!
NICHTS!!!
Great location and friendly staff. We were in the Sea Bungalow and it had everything we needed to be comfortable.
The location and facilities
There was not TV
Staff is not on site. Office door, locked, and closed during business hours.
The room was very spacious and could have easily accommodated a family of four with more bedding options. It would be a great long stay location. We arrived earlier than expected but was quickly accommodated by the host, Daniela and her team. There is great outdoor space as well. The location allowed us to easily access the main tourist centre on foot and also allowed us to explore other areas with free and easy access to bicycles provided by Daniela. Our view of sunrises just outside our door was spectacular to start our mornings with coffee provided in the room. Our kitchen had everything we needed to make our own breakfasts and other meals as well as bottled water provided by the host.
Something the hotel can probably do very little about was the noise on the street in the evenings generated by loud rumbling vehicles with music blaring; police came by and helped solve this problem around 11 pm or midnight every night. Another convenience issue I never read in any of the reviews was the inability to put toilet paper into the toilet bowl probably due to potential plumbing clogging issues it may cause; manageable but a little inconvenient (& awkward at first) 😉. Another concern (although it never became a problem) was the locking of the entrance gate. We were advised to lock it to prevent unwelcome guests from entering. While we followed that procedure, other guests did not which was frustrating; again, there is nothing the host could've done to enforce this. Otherwise, everything was in working order and I would recommend it to others! Everyone you meet is welcoming and accommodating.
Nada.
Location
No pool, very old facilities, overpriced
The property was great. Lots of outdoor places to hang out and rest. Free use of bicycles.
I would not recommend staying in the yurt. It was super loud on the melacon. We thought it couldn’t be so bad. It was. Very loud.
Cute casita with kitchen which was much larger than other places we stayed. Daniela, the manager, is very sweet and helpful.
A little noisy.
I had a full kitchen with separate bedroom and living room. Basic and comfy and not fancy. The TV and A/C worked well and it was great to have a full size refer and stove. The price was very fair and the manager , Daniela is a rock star and really improved my visit. She was invited on a fishing trip and arranged for me to join her and her friend and we caught some fish and had a great time. She also has a real estate license and has sold some very nice homes in Loreto and appears to know just about every one in town. She even drove me to my next destination. Like I said, Rockstar. Also, there is a very good restaurant 50 ft from Sukassa. Best burger and fries in Baja. Other dishes were also very good and very reasonably priced.
No issues. Very good value
Very friendly staff. Clean Jurte we got was very nice!! We come back again :-)
Great location, clean and roomy. We stayed in the back two story house and it was perfect for two couples. Property was clean and sorted
Only thing to be aware of is the property is on the malecon (water front) and so it can be noisy at times. We knew this and reserved the house in the back.
Nichts
Extrem Laut, Garten komplett zugepflastert, keine Privatsphäre, Beleuchtung nachts mit Bewegungsmeldern, Yurte hell weil Öffnung im Dach
I was very comfortable in the garden. Cheers To the gardener thanks.
It is a nice space but unfortunately located next to a loud bar restaurant playing loud music till very late and never disclosed in the listing
While at first appearance its well located and clean we were woken up with loud party music at 10 pm that and played all night and because of the palapa roof felt like we were sleeping outside. It should’ve disclosed in the description of the property
Convenient, close to everything, spacious and clean
shower was not warm. Tiles in shower could use retiling. Malecon very noisy at night
Daniella and staff were friendly and helpful. The bungalow was clean and had lots of room.
Lots of noise from vehicles cruising the malecon.
The yurt was cozy and clean and had everything we needed.
We were there on a Saturday night so the noise from the Malecon made it difficult to sleep.
Great central walkable location, and beautiful garden and outdoor spaces. Very clean and well kept. Manager and staff were so nice and helpful.
Great location, really nice outdoor spaces and garden, close by good restaurants, staff were wonderful
Location, atmosphere
Shower head in the front house
We rented 2 of the houses for 2 nights. They are spacious, as well as the patios. Grab an included bike and go into town! It's not a 5 star hotel, but we loved it and will stay again. They do need to replace the shower head in the front casa.
Shower head in the front casa.
Room and outdoor space was very nice
No hot water most of the time, and all the noise from the street - people playing music from their cars until 4 am. Walls inside are paper thin, you can here every word from people next door.
Beautiful location right across the Malecon from the water. The kitchen was well-appointed. Everything was just a walk away!
Being on the malecon during Easter Week was a big mistake. Crowds of people cruise the street blasting music from oversized speakers in their cars. Lots of beer drinking, but no fighting. Federalies do come through dispersing people, but they come right back. It was deafening & the only thing that saved us was Bose noise-cancelling headphones! It lasted until nearly dawn.
Location super nice and the yurt had every we needed, including water and coffee!
Location / cleanliness
The fact that the locals drink and bump there music on the street every night … they don’t mention that on app You cannot sleep it’s an every night situation It’s like a tradition there …. I actually would like a compensation For my sleepless nights that I was suppose to sleep and didn’t
A large expansive room, and the amenities were nice. The shower was strong, but the towels were meh
At midnight, there was some kind of "parade" that came through the walls. It wasn't quiet and blasting sounds, like music. I could not sleep until after midnight. Also, the host had to be called, which was not a significant problem, but we had arranged a "late" check-in time of 6 p.m. (beyond their business hours). It was not a big deal, but we were unable to get to our room for 15 minutes.
Good location. Easy walk to the historic center and restaurants but far enough to be quiet. The facilities garden area was a nice place to sit and visit. Also enjoyed being across the street from the Sea.
Laid back, low profile, clean, modern yet traditional, near town center, next to the water, sunrise
Loud music in cars passing by. We moved back from the front so it was fine
Nice friendly and helpful staff !
I have no complaints
Location
Bad lighting especially in the bathroom.
Good location, right on the beach promenade and 5 minutes from the center
The place was a bit surreal. We arrived at 16:30 and nobody was at the reception. Apparently we were the only guests. Luckily someone left the gate open and we could see a phone number scribbled on the back door of the reception. When I called, a lady came quickly. Apparently they had no desire to rent rooms to the occasional drive-by guests. The hotel offered nothing beside the room. No breakfast room. The casita we rented for 180€ could use a major upgrade and was run down even by Mexican standards.
Location
It was a little noisy as we were there on the weekend and the yurt was a tent so thin walls. We enjoyed the celebrations of people driving around the malecon with music blaring but by the 2nd day at 3:30 am we were over it. It wasn't constant just the odd person driving by. I'm sure the rooms were quieter.
Everything
Nothing
The property was lovely and my room was very nice and spacious. The entire property is really beautiful and clean, located right on the water. The hotel is centrally located and walking distance from everything.
The only downside is on the weekend, cars driving by late at night played music extremely loud until very late. This is not the property's fault, but it does affect their guests. Hopefully the town can do something out it.
Good stay, value, right on the MALECON across the street
It was all good
Location .. attendant was nice..
Very noisy.. very very noisy..late night partying in the street on front of our room..11pm..1:30 pm..day and night.. very difficult to get a good night's sleep ..sidewalks on various city streets in poor condition..unsafe to walk on...hammock broke and I fell hard .unsafe
Pretty much everything was a disappointment. The hotel was dilapidated, and the room was dark, dingy, hot water was rarely available, it felt dirty and was dirty. Sit on the filthy red couch and you are half way to the floor and getting up is a trick. you have to lean to a side and roll forward. Seriously! I can't grasp how someone could give this place a positive review accept for the location, well kind of. This is located near the spot where the local young kids drink beer and play extremely loud music and often till the wee hours of the morning. There seems to be a contest of who can play their music the loudest and some of these attendee's had huge speakers in the trunk of their car or truck. Cleaning the room required a request which I gave and I was told not everybody wants there room cleaned everyday. After a week, I finally got my sheets changed only because I asked the cleaner as she was leaving if she did that and then she left to get the sheets. The kitchen utensils and accessories were horrific (You can't imagine), three of the wall sconces didn't work, the bed was uncomfortable. The gate to get in is something I have never seen before and is bizarrely awkward. You can enter and exit thru the office but it is uncommon for someone to be there. I am at a loss for words to describe this establishment. The only logical reason for the condition of this place is the owner is psychic and knows a Tsunami is coming and it will wipe out their hotel and therefore there is no reason to make any improvements or maintenance. Sounds farfetched? You haven't stayed in this hotel. It is worse then I have explained. I am a serious traveler. I have flown over three million miles. I have stayed in 1,000 hotels in 80+ countries. I have paid from 5 cents (Pakistan 1968} to many thousands a night. This room cost me US$191. With every bad experience there is a good story.
Sukasa’s staff is great as is their location. We highly recommend this place.
We loved the proximity to the sea and the historical center. Also loved the casita with a full kitchen and hot shower. They also give you free use of a beach cruiser bicycle. The staff was super friendly and helpful.
On weekend evenings (Fri, Sat, Sun) the locals park up-and-down the Malecon with VERY loud music playing VERY late into the wee hours. It's quite disruptive to sleeping, the boom boom shakes the casita all night long and into the early morning. NOTE: this is not the Management's fault. There's nothing to be done to improve the situation 😑
The facility was adorable complete with thatched roof, fully functioning kitchen and comfortable king bed. The gardens were lovely. Excellent security and location. Everything was within walking distance.
Since it is right on the malecon, people like to party and blast their radios right outside. So if you are looking for peace and quiet, this place is not for you.
Lovely place with everything you’d need for a long stay
A little noisy as it was right at the malecon
The property is so beautiful! And the staff was very helpful and accommodating. Really the best.
The area, not the property, is kind of noisy.
Too much traffic noise
The location is perfect and the facilities are well maintained. You live in a blooming garden, safe, beautiful, conveniently close to all that you may need in town (free bikes are available), with a view of the sea. We stayed in the yurt, and it was a nice, original experience, quite comfortable. You can relax in hammocks and chairs on the property or take a 5-min walk to the Oasis beach across the road.
On weekends, it is noisy: people are driving cars around playing loud music; it is a local tradition. This is a down side of being close to the historical center. We just used earplugs and slept well.
The location and the outdoor common area are great!
The staff was not professional. The price is not worth what we got (the yurt). The shower did not work properly.
Amazing little oasis right on the malecon in town. Walking distance to everything. Awesome owner and staff! The bungalow was much larger than we expected! Very pet friendly and relaxed.
The location is beautiful, in front of the sea. The bungalows are very pretty, clean and spacious. We loved our stay.
We have stayed here many times. Love the facility. Love the staff. Love the location.
The kitchen was not as complete as I remember...only one glass, no plates. Weird.
It was a very nice oase and apartment. The surroundings were cozy and Sukasa is very near everything: city, beach, boats. They have bikes that we used every day. As we were there suits low season we had the whole place for ourselves. Our contact person was extremely nice and help and the spoke great English.
We had a wonderful time at Sasa. When we got there, we were a little late and they had gave our room away to somebody else. But they do incredibly good recovery and we actually got the room that we originally had booked. It’s a very quaint and beautiful little setting that is very nice for relaxation.
The Wi-Fi is intermittent. Sometimes it’s OK and sometimes it is super slow. If I had anything bad to say about the place, it would be if they could increase the Wi-Fi capabilities a little bit better. If I had to do any work there on a vacation, it would’ve been almost impossible.
Very large and clean 1 bedroom bungalow w/ everything you need to cook. No views.
Bad Management - Lack of communication - No one to welcome us- Had to call several times so someone open he door - Room was not ready when we got here. we had to wait until 7 pm. Very noisy as it is on the Malecon.
Location is right across the street from the waterfront (malecon) & its an easy walk to tourist area of the Mission, marina, shopping, dinner, bars etc. Property looked well cared for, patio area clean and inviting, room clean. Free bicycles to tour around town included. Manager communicated promptly via text. Room comfortable, internet and bathroom worked well, didn't have any problems.
Very noisy, not the hotel itself, but just outside of the property the location is on one of the main streets. You hear cars, trucks, motorcycles, loud music, dogs, partiers, etc. This is especially an issue in the "Yurt" which is a cute room but the side walls are literally a tarp so all noise enters the room. While the area feels very safe, you park on the street and I never saw any security. I'd consider staying again because it's pleasant, but it's not for light sleepers or for those who demand a secured hotel.
Nice view Good location
Shower head needs replacing
Visually is beautiful. Easy to find location. Beds acceptable. Dog friendly.
Concierge Attitudes Not very accommodating to in transit clients. Maybe they are interested in destination Loreto clients. Malecon noise is booming until 10-11pm.
It was very cute and had a nice ambience
The noise was unbearable. All night, long and every five minutes throughout the day. The owner/manager was not at all sympathetic nor inclined to try to do anything to make it right.
Beautiful casitas and amazing location!
Being on the malecon and waterfront, lots of late night car traffic and music noise until all hours of the night.
Quant and comfortable.
Clean. On the malecón.
Mucho ruido.
Using the free bike to get around was great as it's a bit out of the centro. Very quiet compared to the town. Nice little kitchen. Clean and felt safe. Nice welcome and early check in.
Dogs barking occasionally. On dirt roads. Very limited hot water. Must bring in your own drinking water after first 2 bottles, I stayed 4 nights. If you have modest expectations based on the great price, you will be comfortable.
Great location (a bit noisy at night), and excellent facilities.
A bit of noise (music) at night from the local bars/restaurants. To be expected.
