Had a very busy weekend Mandy and Adie were lovely and very helpful and welcoming , breakfast was delicious and filling.

Exceptionally clean room and bathroom, which had clearly been recently renovated and were actually different (and even nicer!) than the pictures. Breakfast was great, and Adie and Mandy were so lovely and welcoming. The location was perfect - within walking distance of everything in Ambleside, while also being a great base for exploring other Lake District attractions by car!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay! The owners were really nice people, so friendly and informative. A lovely property that was a short walking distance to the town centre and amenities of Ambleside The room was lovely, and the shower was fantastic! And wow what a superb Breakfast to set you up for the day! Lots of fresh Orange juice, coffee and a massive tasty breakfast with lots of toast. We would highly recommend a stay at Brantfell House when visiting the Lake District. Thank you so much.

The only minor downside was the television in the room did not have many channels such as BBC 1 and a few other channels as well. But this didn't spoil our stay whatsoever.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was a great size and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Everything you need was provided. Mandy and Adrian were very helpful and friendly and cooked an amazing breakfast. Location to Ambleside is perfect!

Owners were brilliant, very friendly and accommodating with excellent knowledge of the area and restaurants. The location was great, a short walk to the centre of town. Breakfast was perfect.

The room and bathroom were a little small. The room was very hot but to be fair it was around 30 degrees outside.

Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. The location was perfect as well, making it easy to explore the surrounding area.

We loved our stay here! Everything was perfect - the location was very central and close to everything and the breakfast was great. Mandy and Adie are lovely and accommodating people and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy. We’ll definitely return on our next trip to the Lakes!

Mandy and Adie were very warm hosts and made you feel right at home. The location is just a few steps away from the bus stop and the breakfast is amazing.

Adey and Mandy were friendly and helpful from start to finish. They helped carry our bags, offered help and advice and served breakfast a little early so I could catch a bus. The breakfast fruit salad with yogurt and home made granola was amazing!

The room is a little small.

Everything! Our hosts were amazing, very helpful and friendly making sure we had all we needed for a great stay. Breakfast was delicious and our room was extremely comfortable and welcoming. We were able to park our car behind the house and walk to everything in Ambleside. We had two nights so we were out driving around the district most of the time but I loved being able to walk to restaurants and pubs after our busy day and the walk to Stock Ghyll Force was lovely.

From the moment we arrived and were greeted by Mandy and Adie, our stay at Brantfell House was perfect in every way. The house is immaculately clean and welcoming. The room was comfortable with a well equipped bathroom…especially the very efficient shower!! Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Parking was available nearby. Mandy and Adie aim to please and for us everything went above and beyond our expectations. We look forward to a return visit.

Lovely couple running the business, they advised us some local places to check out and restaurants for vegan options. They were very accomodating for vegans and the place has a very cozy, homey feel to it. Also very close to shops etc, whilst being quiet.

Well situated in town centre and close to many walks from the doorstep. Room was clean and comfortable. Owners are a lovely couple, nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast was great

A handy short walk into town, free off-road parking. A nice room/en suite, spotlessly clean and well-provisioned, and a comfy bed. Adie and Mandy were great hosts, I really enjoyed chatting with them and lingered to do so. Breakfast fully deserves the great reviews elsewhere on here (I enjoyed Adie describing a full English as an ‘Ambleside Salad), and I was provided with a decent packed lunch at the price of a very average shop ‘meal deal’. All at the most competitive price on this site, and with flexible access out of hours. This was a great experience with some lovely people, and I won’t bother looking any further on my next trip to the Lakes. Highly recommended

We stayed in room 2 which was described as a standard double, it was adequate for us, but a tad on the small size

Brantfell House, is beautifully decorated with immaculate attention to detail. Our double room with en-suite was equipped with tea and coffee facilities, much needed hair dryer due to the wet weather! Tv and all the bathroom essentials that you need whilst away. Our hosts were super friendly and helpful with recommendations on where to eat. Breakfast was on offer but we decided to have a wander up into town but realised afterwards we should have taken up the offer but there’s next time. We will definitely be booking here again on our return to Ambleside.

Everything about our stay was perfect! Our room was lovely and had everything we needed for our trip, plus it had a great view of the park and historic church across the street. Our breakfast was delicious and made to order, and Brantfell was ideally located a very short walk from the bus station, shops, hikes, and restaurants. Mandy and Ady accommodated our later check-in and made us feel at home from the minute we walked in. We will absolutely be back!

Bed was not the most comfortable but I do have a bad back so often struggle in strange places.

Brantfell House was amazing. Lovely warm rooms. Very comfortable bed, we slept like logs. Aid and Mandy were excellent hosts, we felt like we were old friends revisiting. Breakfast were cooked to perfection. Prices were great for our NYs day stopover. We will definitely book again.

There was nothing to dislike about our stay at Brentfell.

We loved the quirky décor even the smaller details like the towel bale presentation in the bathroom.

The small room we stopped in was beautiful with a great view as well but it did get quite hot in the night and the TV struggled occasionally with the reception but these are very minor points because it was a lovely room.

Lovely B+B/hotel in Ambleside. Short walk (less than 5 minutes) to all shops, restaurants and pubs in the area. Breakfast was exceptional and the owners could not have been more attentive. Room was very comfortable with a separate seating area which was nice in the evening. Very clean and well equipped.

Ambleside is a busy town with lots of parking issues and a one way system that means if you miss the hotel initially then you have to go round again. Our parking was fine but it can always be an issue in this part of Ambleside.

Locality to centre of Ambleside. Property was warm and welcoming. Staff were lovely and engaging throughout our stay. Breakfast was good value for money.

Another great stay at the Brantfell, Adie and Mandy make you feel at home the moment you walk through the door, they treat you like family. The rooms are charmingly decorated and clean, the house itself is perfectly located within a few minutes walk into the town centre. Breakfast was delicious and filling. The owners were fabulous- we got such a friendly and genuine welcome on arrival from Mandy and the help/information we got prior to arrival was great. The room was beautiful, felt fresh and was super clean with a great view I wish we’d booked for a longer stay. Comfiest bed and quality bedding. Cannot fault a thing about breakfast, quality of food, presentation and the portion sizes were fantastic Adie was a brilliant breakfast host and made us feel more than welcome.

There was lots to applaud with this B&B in Ambleside. A spacious room with a huge and comfortable bed. Sparkling clean bathroom. Lovely, friendly owners. Delicious and varied breakfast. And the bonus of an off-road parking space. All fantastic!

The duvet was too hot for a summer's night, but others might be OK with it. Breakfast was great, but there was a longer than expected wait for it to be served.

A brilliant B&B spotlessly clean well furnished and friendly efficient owners. One of the best stays we have ever had. Thoroughly recommended
