Extremely disappointing stay – major refurbishment and facilities not adequately disclosed We booked a 10-night stay at Creekside Hotel Dubai through Booking.com from 17 August to 27 August, costing approximately £1,851.70 including half board. This was meant to be a special family holiday and birthday celebration, with my parents aged 79 and 80, my sister, my 9-year-old daughter and my 10-year-old nephew. We had previously stayed at this hotel four times when it was part of the Jumeirah group and had always had wonderful experiences. Those previous stays were a major reason we chose the hotel again. Unfortunately, this stay was completely different. The biggest issue was the lack of clear information about the major refurbishment before we booked. Before travelling, we contacted the hotel directly from the UK with several questions about our rooms, an additional guest, arrival arrangements and our half-board package. The hotel was therefore actively communicating with us immediately before our arrival. They also asked about the number and ages of the guests and invited us to mention any special occasion. We explained that this was our fourth stay and that we were celebrating my sister’s 50th birthday. Despite all this communication, we were not clearly informed that the hotel was undergoing substantial refurbishment, that most restaurants were closed, that significant facilities were unavailable or that construction work would be taking place around guest areas. Had we known the extent of the disruption before booking, we would not have chosen this hotel. When we arrived, we discovered that major refurbishment was taking place throughout the property. Most restaurants were closed, the breakfast area was effectively being used as the main food hall, and facilities including the Irish Village were unavailable.

Some building works going on at the hotel but that was not an issue for me. Room very clean and staff were their usual polite and friendly, big thanks to Barry at the pool bar who looked as us.. he was a busy guy🤣

The Gym and the pool was great

The property needs to upgraded and there is on gaining renovation in the hotel and that was annoying

Close to the airport Nice sports facilities, including outdoor pool and pool area

Breakfast was good, but I would have preferred more selections of fruits and breads

The manager couldn't book water park Tickets for us was very unprofessional. Breakfast needs to be better.

Clean, comfortable and convenient. I loved the amenities and the breakfast selection was great.

The breakfast had very limited options and, overall, the variety was not up to the standard I would expect from a 5-star hotel

The check-in process was very long and time-consuming. It took much longer than expected and could be made more efficient, especially for a 5-star hotel

Under construction so was not in great shape and needs a full refurb since Jumeirah left and Accor took over

Getting charged USD 50 for an early check in 10 minutes after I was told there was no room ready and despite the fact before I arrived I was told the hotel would try to accommodate my early arrival without mention of a charge.

لأول مرة اعرف فندق خمس نجوم تطلب يحضرون لك طبق فاضى للغرفه يطلبون منك الدفع عشرون درهم علي الطبق القاضى مع أنه كل الفنادق أن طلب اكواب او صحون أو حتي ثلج يكون مجانا وحوض الاستحمام بعد امتلاء بالماء الساخن للاسترخاء فيه تعجتديت الماء لا يفرغ منه إلا اليوم التالي طلبت ارسال شخص لتفريغ الحوض وجو الفندق كئيب عامة

Good spa amenities, good breakfast and very good half board menu for dinner. Rooms were very spacious.

Description should be more accurate as city view is not really what you expect from "Dubai city view", instead you get that classic Dubai skyline on the golf club view. Also rooftop bar/club/pool was under maintenance so it wasn't available, that should have been mentioned or announced somewhere.

Carpets splitting, marble on way to restaurant scarred and cracked. Outside area on 8th floor appallingly dirty

Clean and spacious

Very close to the Airport. It’s a beautiful place to stay.

Comfortable rooms, an excellent sports centre (gym, swimming pool, squash courts, and spa area), and friendly, helpful staff.

I had half board. However, the choice of non-meat dishes at dinner was quite limited. There was practically nothing for my child to eat except pasta.

The check in process take very long time. The water was cold no hot water. There was no valet parking. There is construction going on. It is looks like 3 to 4 star hotel.

Before is best for us, now relations for regular customer not good

It was our favourite hotel, after bold renovation not anymore.

This hotel used to feel like our second home. But after the renovation, we will never go back. They call it a “bold design” and present it as art. People, wake up — metal furniture is not art, it’s awful. What a shame. This used to be our favorite hotel. I’m sure Jumeirah must be crying over what the new owners have done to it.

All the staff are excellent and made our stay very enjoyable: especially Armando and Shireen at Receptioc, Richard assisting with our bags and Deepshika and Emmanuel at the breakfast restaurant.

Nothing. Renovations are ongoing however this did not impact our stay.
