The location is quite exclusive and yet easy to access, the mountain and pond view from the King room is beautiful. The views on the property are all around scenic.

The toilet ceiling had a bit of mould. The bath water took a while to heat up.

The room in general was faulty. It creeked, there were planks that were literally loose we stepped on a few loose planks. The rail fell on us day 1 when we arrived. Basin plug doesn't work. Bathroom blinds once open they dont close. We had to constantly call reception to help or fix something. Fire place etc

View is stunning in the B block. Private balcony and the pork Belly for dinner was amazing.

Breakfast and dinner was amazing. Compliments to the chef. the room was stunning !!!! i loved the view, the fireplace and how beautiful the set up was.

The tranquility of the property beautiful out in nature staff were exceptional especially Bridget loved the gas fireplace loved the spa facilities and treatment very hospitable and friendly service

Not many vegetarian options at breakfast and on the ala carte menus at the restaurant and the bistro , some noise on the property on the first night , perhaps requires a small convenience store especially since bistro is closed early on Sunday and on a Monday and the pub menu doesn’t offer much and buffet at restaurant is not for everyone.

The outdoors are absolutely gorgeous ,serene and peaceful. The rooms are 10 out of 10. And the spa experience was the best I have ever had . Will definitely come again with my family.

Ambience, cleanliness, efficiency and friendliness of the staff and tasty meals I would love to come back for a longer stay, but the cold bed at night may just be my deal breaker

I really would have preferred an electric blanket on the beds ! the night was cold and for a facility described as luxurious, a warm bed should be standard, and up to the guest to decide if needed or not

The Lodge, Spa and Restaurant were of outstanding quality. Fine Dine experience par excellence. The Buffet breakfast was delicious. high quality. From the moment we arrived until the day we left we were treated friendly and professionally. We stayed in the Deluxe Suite. The suite was comfortably furnished. Bed fit for a king. Linen was spotless. Bathroom very spacious with a His & Hers shower.

Our room was serviced very late. Near 12 noon.

The open space, the lakes and view of the mountains. If you need to calm your nervous system, also had a massage and that was great.

Rooms decor started looking torn and tattered. Curtains torn also around bed in bad state. Curtain Rails in bad state Floors were dirty especially in toilet

The tranquillity and views. Also the five star dinner. The hot air ballooning also started right from the property - very convenient.

The location was beautiful. The staff were friendly and attentive.

The drapes need to be replaced. Several of the boards on the deck were loose and need to be replaced.

The Lodge is beautiful, with stellar service. It was clean, and had all necessary amenities available. Breakfast was superb as well. We would definitely come back again. It was a completely relaxing trip.

Dinner can range between Al la carte and buffet and the menu changes. Not necessarily a bad thing. But a bit more limited options at night compared to breakfast. There's still stunning service in any case.

It’s a lovely location for a weekend gate-away in Gauteng. The rooms were clean and they had phenomenal views of the mountain. The food was delicious

The hiking trail was not that clear

Nice setting and big warm rooms with excellent underfloor heating costing the establishment a fortune I imagine.

So peaceful and beautiful, very clean and the staff was always there to help.

After our first dinner i experienced terrible running tummy & vomiting and reported the matter in the morning. Moses, the OPS Manager, together with his team went above and beyond to ensure that I am ok. They made sure that i get proper service in terms of wellness, comfort and food. It was such a beautiful experience confirming that Kloofzicht really takes care of their guests`s total wellness during their stay.

The friendly staff, from the reception to the potter, the potter was very knowledgeable. The room was clean. Dinner was well prepared and presentable and delicious. Buffet breakfast was also delicious and the variety for food was satistfing.

The room could have been more warmer, we called to be assisted with gas heater but no one came through.

We stayed midweek for our wedding anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Breakfast was excellent, and we appreciated that the buffet selection changed from day to day, even during the week. Our room was spacious and spotless, with an exceptional view. The quieter midweek atmosphere made the nature walk especially enjoyable. Every meal was well prepared, and our visit to the spa rounded off a very relaxing stay.

There were just two minor service lapses. The front desk offered to arrange something at dinner for our anniversary, but this did not happen. On our final evening, service was also less attentive while the football was on, and we waited some time for a dessert menu. These were small issues in an otherwise excellent stay.

Service was amazing. The views were spectacular. The food met every mark it could. All in all a very special experience. Will definitely be going back.

We have one concern: every time we book via Booking.com, (not first time) the hotels seem to allocate us to rooms that are not the best-position; in this case 80% of the rooms are located facing the dam, but we were given a room located behind the front row of rooms, even though all room costs are the same. For this reason, I cannot trust Booking.com to get the best rooms available.

the location of the hotel and service at the restaurant was good

I booked in at an executive room which was dirty and run down. The taps were loose, the water wasn't draining and the TV transmission appalling. The dinner buffet was sub-standard. I informed the hotel that there would be a late check-in but on arrival the staff at the concierge didn't even bother to take me to the room. The lady on duty just gave me general directions and I was left to walk around in the dark and in the extreme cold to find my room.

Really picturesque and pretty surroundings. Cozy and large cabin. Very relaxing vibe.

Not much to do at the hotel itself which makes it less value for money. Sister hotel (Glenburn) felt like better value for money.

Secluded to make you feel like you are far away from anything, yet you are still very close to the highway and Muldersdrift. The catering was mouthwatering, the staff always friendly and wanting to assist. Breathtaking views and activities to recharge.

the location was beautiful, enjoyed the environment and friendly staff at reception and the responsiveness of the housekeeping and maintenance team.

The room facilities were dated, and unfortunately the gas fireplace was not functioning during our stay. The maintenance team spent almost an hour attempting to repair it while we were in the room, but despite their efforts, the fireplace remained inoperable. Given the low outdoor temperatures, the room became quite cold and uncomfortable. As we were travelling with two young children, it made it difficult to relax and enjoy our stay, particularly when we had to leave the warmth and comfort of our beds.

I did not have the breakfast as I have left early however the breakfast pack was amazing. I loved everything about the place

I wish the walking trail had some lights / well lit for when one wanted to do a night walk ..

The food and service at the restaurant was great. The room was very neat and we enjoyed our stay.

More coffee in the room could be provided. The hot tub is great, but perhaps look at more privacy options, as one don't want people at the dam and driving past to see you. We also couldn't see any instructions to lower the heat of the hot tub or how to switch it off at night.

Absolutely loved the place!

I would like a bar, bistro that serves burgers and pizza in the evening.. We unfortunately had very loud neighbour's on our first night, staff acted and sorted it.

The breakfast is a disaster . No order only one omelette station and the staff are no where to be found unless you’re there for the balloon tour. The buffet style breakfast could be split so that two rows can come and go

The scenery is gorgeous.

The staff at the front desk were not welcoming. I immediately felt hostility towards me. There is zero to do at night except have dinner. No other form of night entertainment was available which in turn made the evenings boring. I had a message, and having had many around the world, I rated this one as the worst. The room was cold, the bed was cold and it felt like a hard body rub down. My skin was pinched several times. The absence of a pleasant soothing smell upon entering the room was also observed. There were tissues placed where my face lay on the doughnut hole that stuck to my face and broke up into several pieces. It just was not a pleasant experience at all. Very disappointing to say the least.

Warm welcome from staff, our porter was lovely and answered all my questions about the facility. He even assisted with lighting the fireplace.

Only complaint is that the aircon was broken and only blew cold air. Luckily we had the fire to keep us warm.

The breakfast times are way too early. Ending breakfast at 09h30 is really not catering for a person who is on holiday. Also you should make out check out time officially 11h00

Good food, very clean lovely location but most of all met a lady by the name of Caroline at the Spa department. She is very welcoming, treats everybody the same and most of all she goes the extra mile for customer satisfaction Some things were not clear to us upon arrival at reception but she was able to call on our behalf and get clarity for us. That for us was world class customer service that does not look at the face but sees everyone worthy of good service. There was also a gentleman by the name of Thato he was of great assistance, his face was always the same smiling and willing to assist no matte how much we called him to answer. He was always there pushing world class customer service.

Reception could use a bit of improvement in explaining a few details to make our stay fruitful, such as we have wi-fi written on the card, for small things like an iron you can call. i know not all can be explained as there is usually a line of checkin but small important details.

Food was excellent, staff were absolutely wonderful, the beds super comfortable, always great that there is hot water all the time, the fireplace made it even more special, the place was just very beautiful and I had a great time with my husband. Thank you for managing the place properly.

Very spacious rooms and bathrooms with beautiful views of the lake. Very clean and comfortable, lots of parking too. Very practical location for overnight stay when attending a wedding in the area.
